Lehners Wirtshaus Rastatt in Rastatt

Yesterday we had dinner at Lehners in Rastatt as a large group of 17 people. Food was very good, large and tasty portions, service was friendly and attentive despite the store being full - we weren't the only ones there. Overall I can only praise it. We felt comfortable.

We were there with a larger group on a Friday evening. It was quite empty but there was a lot of ambient noise that prevented normal conversation. The food was very good. If you want something fresh you have to order it separately (side salad for example) or you can order one of the bowls. The selection is plentiful and vegetarians will not only find the obligatory cheese spaetzle, there is even vegetarian schnitzel. But we decided on a burger and it was really tasty.

A nice place to grab something to eat with friends in the evening and have a few cocktails afterwards. I'd love to come for lunch too! The continuous opening hours are also an advantage!

Attentive service, very good food

The food was really delicious and the service was impeccable. I felt the apple red cabbage was missing a bit of juiciness. But all in all it was a really tasty meal! The restaurant is really beautifully decorated and you feel very comfortable. We'd love to come back.

Went there several times during a work trip. Staff always friendly, the restaurant is large yet cozy. The selection is varied enough to have many different options to find new dishes and good enough to stick with one depending on the type of diner you are.

The inn is in a great location, with a quiet outdoor area. The food in the Lehners Wirtshäuser is good.

We were here to eat and spontaneously sat down in the beer garden. Even after several requests from the waiters, we were ignored. After half an hour I called the restaurant from outside. (Unfortunately I have trouble walking and have problems climbing stairs) after the call something happened. Although we still weren't served, the boss suddenly stood in front of us to criticize us in a disgustingly arrogant way and really below the belt for calling and not speaking to the waiters personally. (1. Since when is a call impersonal 2. We had tried several times) After the lady became more and more insulting, we simply left. In my opinion, something like that is not possible! For us it's Never Again Sorry.

Food was good, but nothing special, service was very inattentive - brought the wrong food and drinks...Location is very nice at the castle...

After the rain, the sun and 20 degrees outside enjoyed drinks and food on the bench. Service was quick, food was ok and the ambience with the historic buildings and park was very nice!

My brother and I were passing through towards Freiburg. We were Here on Sunday and we were very satisfied. The ambience is super nice with high ceilings and tasteful furnishings. Unfortunately, it's a bit echoey inside because the ceilings are so high, but the good food makes up for it.

Old military casino flair, the service is super friendly and the roast is a dream, again big praise for the service. The bar is also an eye-catcher. Were here for the 3rd time now and will visit again next year

In summer, the restaurant with its cozy outdoor terrace invites you to enjoy a pleasant meal. The cleanliness, including the toilets, was always impeccable. The prices are a little higher, but the portions are very generous. I would come back at any time. There are also parking options in the immediate vicinity, which makes the visit pleasant and uncomplicated

Very nice atmosphere! Old inn with high ceilings. Cozy facility. Great daily offers, such as on Mondays, roll the dice for the price of your cocktail of your choice. It could also be €2.00, like mine!

I have to say I was really disappointed this time, the food wasn't good, I had a salad with fried Maultaschen that were pretty dark and fried black, my daughter had a schnitzel that was hugely flattened and placed on top of the fries, visually not nice and accordingly Also tasted like pressed schnitzel, all in all not ok for the prices. Drinks were ok, you can't complain about it, no criterion for the service either. She was friendly and asked if there was anything missing, only at the end she could have asked if we were satisfied. I definitely won't be a guest there again. Before that, the food was always absolutely top, tasty and beautifully prepared. Don't know if there's a new chef because things have changed so much.

A totally cool restaurant. The cocktails are simply great. No matter whether you sit in the restaurant, on the terrace or outside with a view of the castle, the service is always there.

Great food in a great atmosphere

Beautiful restaurant, very modern and beautifully decorated with a historical background, open terrace and nice ambience. We looked around the city and found the nice restaurant. When we came in and looked for a place inside because of the heat, we were greeted by a loud shout from a waiter and his colleagues. Of course you get bored sometimes and gastro has to be fun with your colleagues, but I've never experienced it like that. We weren't even noticed as guests, even though we walked in directly opposite the entrance where they were standing. The waiters continued to chat loudly and animatedly for 10-15 minutes until they were finished and they walked past us outside despite making eye contact. You didn't feel welcome or seen. Really annoying and a shame at the same time. Only after asking when we went to the waiters and asked if we could order did we receive an arrogant statement: “Of course you can order something here.” The blonde waitress who then came was very friendly and accommodating. She immediately brought us something to drink, which we were very happy about. Unfortunately we only received the food after waiting 40 minutes. The food was warm and beautifully presented. The meat and fries were convincing, but unfortunately not with the oversized slice of cucumber on both burgers, slightly overcooked buns, a lettuce leaf on each and not enough sauce (only on the top side of the burger) with a hint of sauerkraut. I was very disappointed with the food, even though I'm not very picky. Added to this was the extremely long waiting time. Really a shame. Thanks at least for the nice blonde waitress who made everything more pleasant.

Nice beer garden right next to the residence. The Maultaschen were excellent.

I got 2 TooGoodToGo meals today through the app. When I picked it up I got a very tasty knuckle with a side dish and a very tasty roast pork with a side dish of course. So the kitchen stayed cold and I had a delicious dinner

Delicious food at reasonable prices. The service is friendly and attentive. I ate the burger there and on another day the Metzgermaultaschen with dark onion sauce and potato salad. Everything was really good and the portions were big enough, but unfortunately I have to mention the potato salad, which is why I don't get full marks here. I would have liked a homemade potato salad with really good Maultaschen, but I had the impression that this was ready-made, which I found a bit of a shame.

Wiener Schnitzel, totally soft breading and the meat is streaky and has tendons. Not crispy at all, just greasy. If I hadn't been so hungry, I probably would have gone back. Addendum: I waited for the waitress to come, but I was so annoyed that I went in to pay, otherwise other guests would have noticed. I said exactly that on site as feedback, 1 to 1. She then wanted to offer me something else, but the child had already fallen into the well.

Thank you very much, very good place to spend time with friends and beyond, good cocktails, beers, nice choice of rum. Menu recently changed, I must say that before it was better... Very good staff, giving good advice.

The service was in English and it was good. The portion wasn't worth the price, but it didn't taste bad by any means.

I've known Lehners for quite a long time and used to enjoy going there. Went there again today for dinner with a friend after a very long time. Food was okay, although the chicken meat in the crispy coating was outrageously thin, so that you had the impression that you were just chewing on the breading. We were pleasantly surprised by the man who served us and how friendly we were. But that changed towards dessert. People always like to say “customer is king,” but I’m not a fan of that statement and don’t have to be treated like one. The only thing I ask for is respect, politeness and, above all, that you pay attention to the tone. These three things should be a given in the catering industry. There were probably several misunderstandings that could have been sorted out in a few seconds with kindness. Instead, we were totally hit with statements like "so now YOU are totally pissing me off" etc. This situation was one of a few that really pissed me off But I kept my mouth shut because otherwise it would have escalated. Even when paying, my friend was missing €1 in change. But then we were too stupid to say anything and left unsatisfied. There was no apology for his misconduct.

Spontaneously decide what to eat. Unfortunately, three or four others had local warm food between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Except kebabs or Thais. Then we came across it, very tasty.

Restaurant with a beautiful beer garden. Very friendly service. Price/performance OK. Portions large. The hamburger was good. Unfortunately the roast was very dry and served with little sauce. Extra mayo and extra sauce (unfortunately gravy and not dark beer sauce) was extra. It doesn't work at all in my opinion. Waiting time for the food was definitely too long at almost 40 minutes.

Beautiful decoration. Food was good, chicken schnitzel was tastier than the pork snitzel. Flammkuchen great! Full glasses of wine and good recommendation!

Hello, it may be that I was the one out of perhaps hundreds who were satisfied with you who got it, it happens sometimes, but I would still like to tell you what it was like for you and me when you ordered your schnitzel with fries and mayonnaise, it took 1.5 hours for my food to arrive, it wasn't busy, after asking the waitress twice, they said it would still take a while, OK...then the food came, the schnitzel was very good hot, but the fries were cold and not salted and no mayonnaise OK. Then I said to the waiter that I would like some more mayonnaise and a salt shaker please, so far so good, after about 10 minutes she came and banged me really briskly the two things on the table without saying a word, e.g., please or something else, nothing..., what else can I say, you have to live with it, I don't have to live with you... Nevertheless, good luck... Take care of this stuff, it's your place!

We were in Rastatt for the Monday week and ended up at Lehner’s Wirtshaus three evenings in a row. I don't think there's a better way to eat out. Everything was very tasty and freshly prepared. The ambience is great and inviting. Just like the service. Everyone is very nice and accommodating. We will be back definitely . Greetings from Berlin

We came here as a stopover on a bike tour and made ourselves comfortable in the outdoor area. The service was very friendly and accommodating. There was plenty of choice for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The portions were generously large and super tasty. The price was therefore completely reasonable.

I really like Lehners for several reasons: good service, good value for money and good taste. However, I really had a setback on my third visit. The portion of asparagus with new potatoes and steak for a total of almost €40 is really tiny. Plus, you really shouldn't order "medium-rare", I had that for the second time and it came medium well for the second time... apart from that, the asparagus was great, the potatoes were great and the grilled flavor of the steak was also good. But you'd better have a steak with baked potatoes and vegetables.

Good restaurant with central location in the city. Very good if you have the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy. Delicious food -variety of German traditional meals.

The worst beef roulade we have ever eaten. Only a little and very thinly pounded beef, filling poor and difficult to define. The only response to the complaint was “I’ll pass it on to the kitchen”.

The Lehners Wirtshaus is located very centrally in the city, directly at the wheel of the castle park. It is located in a historic building and also has a beautiful beer garden. The disadvantage of the beer garden is that there is a footpath there and you are often disturbed by speeding cyclists. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The price/performance ratio is quite good and the food is very tasty.

We went to the year reunion with 30 people at Lehners in Rastatt. The ideal opportunity to be in the winter garden as a group. All the friends were very satisfied, especially the two nice ladies who served us. Always present and fast on the move. The various meals were plentiful and good.

I can recommend Lehners for a drink, but not for eating. I had gnocci with green asparagus, when I added up the small pieces, I had about 1 asparagus, the rest were gnocci from the bag with a little cream, for 12.90. I also had duck that I think was from the day before and was simply warmed up. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR EATING

Good food at normal prices! Nice service! We got something warm to eat at 3:30 p.m. and will come back! Ate a cream of potato soup today on April 3rd, 2024 (€6.30) it is by no means worth the money! A cream soup has to be thicker and a good cook should know that! The guest room is often poorly heated...much too cool!

The Lehners is a beautiful location and is very centrally located. Every day there is a different promotion. The cocktails taste delicious.

Everything was great! Great building with a historical background, which has been superbly renovated and offers a great ambience. Nice staff too. We didn't eat anything, just drank a few cocktails. On Mondays you can roll the dice to determine the price of the cocktails.

Nice service, nice ambience. Price/performance ratio absolutely okay. The only minus: The (good) sausage salad with a very tasty dressing was served with a completely unacceptable gray bread à la discounter.

Warm food only until 9 p.m. That was the greeting, although it was very friendly. Thank goodness we got there at 8:52 p.m. The food came surprisingly quickly, before 9 p.m. (a rogue who thinks evil of this), but was very tasty. Ambience a bit cool, a bit spartan for the large rooms.

The service was good and friendly. However, the food was rather mediocre. The lettuce was old as brown cracks were clearly visible. The vegetables in the meat dish were less than lukewarm and al dente. The very dark brown to black fries were referred to as "That's how it should be". The sauce, however, was very tasty. Otherwise the rest was fine.

It was beautiful and good... but the temperature in the restaurant - even though we were sitting on the heater - was quite fresh. Not only us, but also the guests at the neighboring table found it quite cool

At happy hour you can enjoy a few delicious cocktails here at a fair price. The food here also tastes excellent.

We had dinner at Lehners on January 19, 2024. I have experienced many places, but the service at this restaurant was outstanding. The service staff took their time with the order and had great suggestions for optimizing our order. The following meal was perfect. Filled with schnitzel!😅👌Always happy and my recommendation goes right out! 💪

Der Service ist schlecht. Personal ist zwar halbwegs freundlich, aber wir haben zwei Stunden da gesessen, es war außer uns niemand im Lokal und es kam niemand vorbei um zu fragen, ob wir etwas zu essen bestellen oder ein weiteres Getränk möchten, welche längst leer waren. Wir sind am Ende gegangen ohne zu essen. Aus früheren Erfahrungen weiß ich dass das Essen und die Cocktails auch eher durchschnittlich bis schlecht sind. Wie es aktuell ist weiß ich nicht. Positiv ist eigentlich nur die gute Lage und das Ambiente des Lokals.
