Very nice restaurant, cozy and stylishly furnished. No problem getting a table without a reservation. The food was very tasty and served quickly.

We are in Duhnen every year and eat here. Always a pleasure... I like to sit on the ground floor near the kitchen and watch all the delicacies leave the kitchen.

We ate here twice during our holiday on the North Sea. The dishes are very tasty and beautifully presented, kudos to the chefs. The service can still be improved, not very attentive and quite unemotional. The atmosphere is very cozy.

First of all: Hunger drove it in and greed left it in! We've been here for 8 days now, eating somewhere different every evening. But this was by far the worst! The food was at the table a good 10 minutes after ordering, so it shouldn't have been left at the pass for long. But everything that was fried fish on the plates was soggy! Nothing crispy, not even the panfish, which is breaded! Everything is soaked in fat! Salt and pepper are on the table, fortunately, because the fish was completely unseasoned! Fried potatoes thrive on frying and then become crispy. Not here! Just warmed up by bathing in fat. And the fat is then on the plate! What we had on our plates contradicted the description on the website! 3 cooks in the open kitchen should bring more! The next fiasco came when paying! EC or debit card! I have a debit card! However, only the debit card from the Sparkasse is accepted! Cash payment was at least problem-free! I believe the occasional bad reviews here rather than the many good ones! The waitress's surprise when we brought up the fat problem... Well, never again!

Delicious food, good value for money. Nothing negative to report. We already reserved the next table when we left.

Very tasty restaurant, I can recommend "Cuxhavener Fischplatte", unfortunately our waitress was a bit unfriendly/stroppy, probably had a bad day. Otherwise we were very satisfied...

What we ordered came quickly and our fish was tasty, but very fatty! Employees are nice and do their work well and quickly. For me it was too crowded and therefore too loud, but that also means for me that the restaurant is popular.

Whether it was fish dishes, schnitzel or rum steak, everything was great.

The food is solid and fairly priced for the resort. The meat and fish dishes are recommended, although I personally didn't like the burger that much. The service staff is courteous and the surroundings are beautiful when the weather is good, although the interior ambience is also harmonious. I think the dessert is very tasty and beautifully presented.

The food was plentiful, but unfortunately way too greasy and the seasoning could have been bolder. The potatoes definitely didn't see a grain of salt. It's a shame. The service was very monosyllabic!

Wir hatten den Duhner Pannfisch und den Cuxhavener Fischteller und waren mit beiden Gerichten sehr zufrieden, auch der Preis von € 19,90 je Gericht war sehr akzeptabel, über den Preis von € 5,30 je 0,2 Ltr Roséwein kann man nicht meckern, kommen gerne wieder

Best local fish restaurant. Service (Marco I think?) bomb. Our grandchild was well looked after. I would like to give it 6 stars. We'll be back!!!

Food was great, I had a delicious currywurst and my wife had plaice, Unfortunately, the exhaust air on the lower floor isn't that good and our clothes smelled like the kitchen afterwards.

Good food.🙂 That's why we are repeat offenders. The chef doesn't know any secrets, nor does he have to - but the kitchen is open to the dining room in case anyone has any doubts.😉

Were there two evenings in a row. We were so impressed by the first evening that no other restaurant was an option for the second evening. Excellent food (burger & salad). In addition, the service was very friendly, courteous and quick. Despite staff shortages on the second evening, the quality of the service remained great! At this point, a big thank you again to Marco and the boss for the recommendation and the history of the single malt whiskey 😉 See you in a few months 😀

We spent our 56th wedding anniversary there with a great dinner. It lived up to the occasion. The price was real. The food was excellent. We'll be back when our health permits. Thank you very much. SUPER.

The complaint about our food was acknowledged, but there was no concrete solution or apology. In addition, payment by credit card was not possible - a tip would have saved us a lot of stress. When we wanted to pay, we had to wait another 20 minutes after being reminded several times and finally blocked the counter. Even there it took another 5 minutes until the payment was finally processed and there was no apology. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant. However, the generous portions of fish were positive. However, the fried potatoes we ordered were disappointing as they mostly tasted like boiled potatoes. Because of this experience we will not be guests at this restaurant again.

We looked for a restaurant for a long time today. Last but not least, I actually gave up (pizza to take away is currently closing), then saw the restaurant on the other side of the street and the offer: plaice fillet with fried potatoes for €16.90. We didn't regret it, it was very tasty. We can recommend the restaurant.

Very lovingly furnished and nicely decorated, clean and well maintained. It is also very spacious, you can sit upstairs, downstairs or in the winter garden. A great well-coordinated team, very friendly and nice. Despite the stress, the store is running great. The food tasted very good and the price was right too. We really enjoyed it and enjoyed it, thank you very much...

Fish was okay, schnitzel was not seasoned and had more breading than meat, hunter's sauce no more than a tablespoon. The worst thing was the fries. They were so hard that they flew onto the neighbor's table. When I complained, a listless waiter just grinned. The bill as being paid separately by card was brought to the table as one cash bill. The so-called waiter couldn't calculate the bill so we had to do it ourselves. Despite the well-known staff shortage, you shouldn't subject your customers to such employees. All in all, a thoroughly wasted evening.

Seat allocation and service up until the order was placed were initially problem-free. However, the service was no longer available to answer questions. The crab soup I ordered was inedible, and for the first time in my life I had to send food back. The statement from the service was very succinct, we have that often.Hello? At the end we received an incorrect bill from the next table. But the fish plate was ok.

We were there at peak time without a reservation - which wasn't a problem as it is quite large and spread over 2 floors. The food was very good and plentiful, the service was super nice and attentive. The atmosphere is modern. When all the seats are occupied it is quite noisy as everything is open. Of course, this cannot be avoided and is not meant to be a criticism! We'll definitely come back.

Cuxhaven fish plate, fine fish plate, fried potatoes, everything was very tasty, nice boss, nice service, it was full, but everything went very quickly. Special requests such as a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the espresso were fulfilled. Price-performance ratio is good. Gladly again!

We were there about 1.5 hours before the store closed and the restaurant was still full. Nevertheless, we managed to get a table with 7 people even without a reservation. We really enjoyed everything that was ordered - well seasoned and filling portion sizes. There were also a few vegetarian/vegan dishes to choose from, which was satisfactory considering that apart from fries or salad, almost only fish and meat dishes are sold in the area. The service was relatively okay. What was great was that we received our orders very quickly. As I said, it was well filled, so it was a bit lively/loud - the live music also contributed to that. Whether you rate it positively or negatively is a matter of taste, I would say. Conclusion: You can definitely visit - especially if you are looking for vegetarian food in the area.

It was easy to order takeaway food on site. The service was friendly. The food was served in typical Styrofoam transport boxes. This is probably why the fried potatoes, the fish and also the tarte flambée were very soggy and no longer crispy when eaten after about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the fish was stacked, so the breading stuck to each other and was also floating in the fat in the transport box. The tarte flambée was cut but unfortunately also stacked in a small transport box, so unfortunately it was rather soggy when eaten. The vegetarian burger was tasty, the quality was still good even after it was taken away, the fries were limp. In terms of price, it's in the middle segment for Cuxhaven Duhnen. In terms of quality, unfortunately not recommended for take-away, perhaps the quality is better locally.

Fresh fish on the table. Nice service, nice atmosphere. The upper floor is closed at lunchtime. We really liked and enjoyed it. We were here for lunch.

It was our first time in this restaurant and it took quite a while until we were served, even though there were no tables inside and only 2 outside with our 3 occupied When we got our food we were very disappointed, a Holstein style schnitzel and a plate of plaice. Visually the dishes were appealing But now to the taste/quality, the breading of the schnitzel was easily 2/3 of the schnitzel (see photo) the schnitzel meat was 2 to 3 mm, if at all, it was unbelievable to call this a schnitzel, when the waiter asked if everything was ok, we showed her the schnitzel, her answer to that was: it was flattened properly "that was cheeky, because the fact that it was flattened is understandable, but it's not like you can't taste the meat at all! Everything else on the side dishes was swimming in the fat, but the taste was ok Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it at all

Nice shop and nice staff, but unfortunately not good food The food is boring and way too greasy. Fried potatoes extremely greasy and close to burnt! The fish was neither seasoned nor salted and not even a piece of lemon with the fish on the plate! The remoulade was way too sour and maybe home-made because of homemade! Pepsi-Cola had no or little carbonation and was not cold! Once but definitely not twice!

The schnitzel was okay, the hunter's sauce was out of the bag and the fried potatoes were a mess. The service was very friendly. We won't be coming back!

We both had currywurst (no fish). There was nothing to complain about. Food was delicious. Prices reasonable. Have been there many times. Is recommended!

I think the schnitzel hunter style is very good. Especially the mushroom sauce with it 🤤. I'm not a big fish eater but the people I was there with said the fish was good too. We've had a few different waiters and they were all very nice and offered us water for our dog.

We were there before Easter and wanted to eat, it was very full and since there were 6 of us we were told that they had no more space without a reservation. We could sit outside, which we did, then the waitress came and complained that she had to go out in the cold because of us and serve us. We placed our order and waited for it, what we noticed was that there were a lot of dogs in there The food was so good, my salad was wilted and didn't look so good anymore. It's a shame we won't be eating there again

When I spontaneously decided to go out for dinner, I still managed to get a seat at rush hour without a reservation. Friendly welcome, very friendly staff and fast service. There was just a very slight smell of french fries in the air - which was caused by the open kitchen. You could watch the food being prepared, which I really like. I will gladly come again. My recommendation: The onion soup as a starter was phenomenal.

The food was tasty, but "very small" in terms of quantity (very small plaice fillets). Service impersonal, reception when entering the restaurant unfriendly. Luckily there are more pleasant restaurants in Cuxhaven.

Unfortunately I can only give 2 stars! Coca-Cola no or little carbonation. Jägerschnitzel very very thin. In my opinion it's not worth the money!

There were three of us here and we were seated quickly and friendly. The staff is very nice and the food came quite quickly! But only the bruschetta nordic ones were really tasty. Art. The. Fish soup was neither clear nor tasty and was only seasoned with lemon and the matjes was totally salty, dry and full of bones. There was no sauce or anything and the lettuce was wilted and sandy. Salmon with grilled vegetables was better, but the vegetables were Brandenburg style, so they were grilled pretty dark! The Cuxhaven fish plate was probably quite okay, although... Fish was hardly seasoned, but there was salt and pepper on the table!!!

Centrally located right next to the dike, something for everyone and yet not a complete “tourist trap”. Food was tasty and reasonably priced.

We had dinner with 7 people. The food came super quickly and the food for the children, which was ordered in advance, also came very quickly. The service was always friendly despite our lively children who were running around :D. The dessert, the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, was also very tasty. We would like to come again.
