A wonderful, cozy restaurant with a magnificent view. Very friendly and attentive staff. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food. The food was absolutely delicious, and they even brought us extra sauce upon request—it couldn't have been better. This certainly won't be our last visit to this restaurant.

We had a delicious meal; my wife had Wiener Schnitzel, and I had a fish platter. The service was very good, and we'll gladly come again.

The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious, especially the fish dishes, which are highly recommended. The decor is also stylish and nautical, perfectly complementing the surroundings. We felt completely at ease and would love to come back. A great destination for food lovers!

A lovely seafood restaurant with a spectacular view of the North Sea. The menu is enticingly extensive, offering almost every type of seafood imaginable. The prices are pleasantly moderate and absolutely fair for the quality offered. Parking is available in front of the restaurant, space permitting; otherwise, there is always parking nearby.

The food and service are very, very good. It was a good decision to come here. Friendly staff who know what they're doing. I'd gladly come again.

We're familiar with the Seeterassen Restaurant from previous visits and were very satisfied again. The service, the taste of the dishes, and the value for money were all excellent. Even without a reservation, we managed to get a table with a pretty good view of the 🌊 sea. We'll definitely visit the Seeterassen again at our next opportunity.

The food (salmon with pasta) was homely and generously portioned. The service was excellent. The interior design is certainly debatable, but I liked it.

Hier im Cuxhaven schmeckt der Fisch am besten, im Besonderen bei den Seeterrassen, mit seiner hohen Qualität und dem hervorragenden Service. Und wir Musiker sind kritisch in bezug auf Restaurants aufgrund unserer Vergleichserfahrungen. Die Auswahl an Gaumenfreuden ist groß, die Preise moderat und Sonderwünsche werden erfüllt. So wurde neulich auf die knappe Zeit bis zur Zugabfahrt Rücksicht genommen. Man servierte uns die Speisen bevorzugt schnell, so dass wir entspannt und ruhig genießen konnten. Zügige Bedienung, aber ohne sichtbare Eile. Das ist perfekter Kundenservice, dafür allein fünf Punkte. Die angenehme Raumatmosphäre, die schöne Aussicht auf das Meer mit den Schiffen und das freundliche Personal tun ihr übriges für einen gelungenen Aufenthalt.

The service and the food were fine. The portions were quite generous for the price and the presentation was attractive. The restaurant is a bit noisy and hectic.

.. wow .. My wife and I received such a warm welcome. The service (both the young woman and the young man 🙃😉 ) was perfectly professional and genuinely friendly from start to finish. We felt more at home than we have in a restaurant in a long time. The food was amazing. It tasted so damn good. Thank you sooooo much for that 🙃😊😉

High price, little on the plate. Tasty, but tiny portions. When the fried potatoes are literally counted on the plates, I no longer feel valued as a guest.

How happy we were the night before. After initially being turned away due to a lack of reservation, we finally got our table with a great view today. We wanted to order the mussels and a Wiener schnitzel that were digitally advertised outside the restaurant. But: they were out of mussels. The only two portions were pre-reserved. You don't say that! My wife was already completely fed up and had to choose another dish. My veal schnitzel sat carelessly on my plate with a huge pile of fries. The quality was mediocre—tender, but completely bland. The mayo that was offered with it was suddenly listed separately on the bill! Overall, disappointing—especially considering the high quality standards on the website as a basis for rating.

A great restaurant! Very cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view of the Elbe River. We had a window seat. You immediately feel at home here. The food was excellent: freshly prepared, creatively presented, and perfectly flavored. Whether it was the appetizer, main course, or dessert, everything was delicious. One small suggestion for improvement: the salad bowl was a bit too small, so some of the salad spilled out when mixing. A larger one would be perfect. I would also like to highlight the staff; they were super friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being intrusive. Thank you for the lovely visit. We'd love to come back... August 25

Great food, great staff and nice ambience

A great place to dine, with very friendly and welcoming staff. I arrived around 7:30 p.m., but I should have made a reservation earlier. The gourmet fish platter with salad was very delicious and balanced, with Williams brandy for dessert. The value for money is more than just right for a restaurant of this location, and the excellent cuisine and the wonderful staff round out the visit. Thank you very much, see you next time.

Personally, I don't eat fish or other seafood, so I can't really comment on that, but the others found the food in that category very tasty. I had chicken with potato ragout, and that was delicious in my opinion. So, in that respect, I'd definitely recommend it. Of course, the location is also very good; you have a great view of the water.

We ate here yesterday. My mother uses a walker; however, access to the main entrance is via a staircase. We saw a sign directing us to a bell to call the elevator. So we rang the bell, and downstairs, a very friendly service employee personally escorted us to the elevator and into the restaurant. That was the first plus point for us. The restaurant itself is beautifully bright, and you have a view of the sea. The furniture is high-quality and comfortable. We were very lucky to get a seat, as it gets very busy. We recommend making a reservation! The food came quickly and was delicious. My mother had chicken with potato casserole and salad, and she loved it. I had Mediterranean tagliatelle with salmon. I love salmon, and this one was divine. We were both very satisfied and impressed with the food, the ambiance, and especially the great service. The prices were also fair and reasonable. A 10/10 for us.

We've been coming to this restaurant every holiday for 10 years. We're pleasantly surprised every time. The price/performance ratio is just right. Great restaurant! Keep up the good work!

We were there for dinner. The ambience is nice and functional. The food is good to very good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The wait staff are very friendly, but apparently very inefficient. We had to wait a very long time (around 20 minutes) before we could even order, and then it took a good 30 minutes for the starter to arrive. The main course was served 20 minutes later. We then wanted to order dessert, but it also took another 25 minutes before we could place our order. Luckily we weren't stressed, but it was really annoying to always have to wait so long. They didn't even offer us a coffee as an apology. What annoyed us most was that the wait staff simply chatted for longer with apparent regulars at the table. We're talking 10 minutes or more. That's simply not acceptable, especially when the restaurant is full of guests.

Great location restaurant with very attentive staff

I found a snail in my side salad. These things can happen, but the key is how the staff handles it. Unfortunately, the plate was neither cleared nor replaced. Instead of an apology, the only comment I received was, "That's disgusting." When I asked if they would at least deduct something from the bill, they said no. Instead, I was simply offered a shot of schnapps—not an appropriate solution for me. I didn't feel taken seriously at all in this situation. The entire handling of the situation was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable for a restaurant.

Without asking too much, we were able to push tables together and find a nice spot. The service was more than friendly and accommodating. The view is breathtaking, and you can watch the ships pass by. What's special is that the names and significance of each ship are always announced. This is done in a quiet and pleasant tone so as not to disturb anyone. However, I found it very interesting and would have liked to have heard it a little louder, but that's a matter of personal interests, and you can never please everyone in these matters. But all in all, all I can say is: Absolutely recommended!!!

We've been visiting this restaurant several times during our vacations for many years. The menu is varied. A weekly daily special with very good dishes. Excellent value for money 👍 We also stopped by in the afternoon for coffee and cake. We absolutely had to try the cream puff, which has great reviews, is incredibly delicious, and topped with ice cream and fruit. We had to share it, which was quite a challenge for one person 😂 Very friendly staff. Special praise goes to the young man (trainee) in the service. Absolutely courteous, friendly, and motivating. We'd love to come back on our next North Sea vacation 😊

A very nice restaurant. Very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable. We had a nice seat by the window. The "giant cream puff" is unbeatable, and lives up to its name. We'll definitely be back.

A dream, great service and food

The biggest cream puff I've ever seen and eaten. It was about 20 cm in diameter! Filled with cream, fruit, and vanilla ice cream. All the other dishes served looked delicious, too. We just couldn't have finished them before the cream puff :-) And a pot of chocolate with cream.

The Seeterrassen are a true gem on the coast! You're greeted warmly upon entering; the staff is attentive, friendly, and always cheerful. The menu offers a fantastic selection of regional specialties – my favorite: the tender cod fillet! The desserts, especially the giant cream puff, are also a highlight. The ambiance is maritime and cozy, with a stunning view of the Elbe estuary – a truly memorable experience, especially at sunset. The value for money is excellent, and even with a dog, you feel welcome. A visit here feels like a vacation. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back.

Und nach genau zwei Stunden (für ein Essen unter Freunden, welche sich nach 8 Jahren zum ersten Mal wieder gesehen haben) kommt prompt die Aufforderung, das Restaurant doch bitte zu verlassen. What a great place!!! We asked in the afternoon if a table was available for the evening... They said they couldn't say for sure, but if we came shortly after 7:00 PM, they would definitely be able to arrange something... AND??? A table had been reserved!!! The service was AMAZING and the quality of the food blew us away!!! We've enjoyed a lot of very high-quality food, but this one took it to the next!!! Thank you so much and keep up the good work!!!!

Update: 05/2025 Nice staff, great reservation for space with a dog, great food, great value for money for food. Simply charging 3.40 euros for a 0.2l Jever compared to 5.20 euros for a 0.4l Jever is not my understanding of the price. A difference of 1.60 euros for the same amount is noticeable. Fall 2024: There is still great food here at great value for money. The window seats are also awesome. I like to come to this place again and again when I'm in Cuxhaven. Keep it up!

We were there late Sunday afternoon with our 2 1/2 year old daughter. Unfortunately, when we made the reservation, we weren't informed that fries were currently not possible - but we didn't think it was that bad, after we were finally served after a very long wait and ordered pasta for our daughter, they were forgotten and only brought 15-20 minutes after our food had been brought. Of course without much apology but only with an ironic comment “… the best comes last …” Unfortunately, we also had to wait forever for the bill at the end. The food was good. We won't be coming back, at least not as long as we have children. Forgetting children and not even apologizing, a long wait when it wasn't full - that's not okay for us.
