We had dinner and breakfast there twice, it was wonderful 🫶 The food was delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly 😊 And the breakfast buffet is unbeatable for the price! There was everything you could wish for, even specialty coffees, tea, and juices were included! 👍 A big compliment to the restaurant; we will definitely come back when we are in Sahlenburg again, and probably stay overnight at the Wattenkieker next time 👍

Great hotel, superb location. We stayed for two nights and spontaneously extended our stay. The rooms are modernly furnished and the breakfast is excellent.

The hotel is right on the beach, but unfortunately, it's surrounded by a campground, which can often lead to noise from campervans coming and going. Some of the rooms are quite noisy. Otherwise, the rooms are very modern and stylishly furnished, the breakfast is delicious and offers a wide selection. The service is excellent and very attentive.

This was our first time eating there; we had reserved a table for two upon check-in. We were shown to a table, given a menu, and asked for our drink order. The drinks arrived promptly, and our order was taken at the same time. We were delighted with the food and would have eaten there more often if our vacation time hadn't been so limited. We highly recommend it!

We stayed one night in this wonderful little hotel and had a room with a partial sea view. The room was very nice and super clean! We also had breakfast included, and that was also excellent! The staff was very accommodating and incredibly friendly. This certainly won't be the last time we stay there.

We booked at short notice, and everything was arranged so we could stay for two weeks. Everything was perfect. We've already booked again and are looking forward to it. We can only recommend it.

Beautiful hotel, great room, and a sea view from the balcony. The parking space with the room number was also great, so there was always one available when you left. Towels were available for dogs when they came in from outside and were dirty or wet. We'll be back. Thank you for everything, and keep up the good work.

The room was large, and we had a very large balcony, although there are also smaller balconies. We had the balcony on the side, but we could still see the North Sea directly, as there was also a campsite on that side, so there were no other houses in the way, and we still had a good view. The beach was only a few meters away, and restaurants and a souvenir shop were also nearby. Hotel staff were very nice and friendly. Parking cost extra, but for €5 a day, it was perfectly fine. Breakfast was always very good, and there was a wide selection. We've already decided to spend our vacation there again. We'll be back on October 26, 2025, and we're really looking forward to it.

We were just there for dinner. It was really delicious. 1x roulade with red cabbage and 1x chicken breast with roasted onions and croquettes.

We only stayed at the Wattenkieker for a weekend and would love to return. We had a lovely double room with a partial sea view and a beautiful view of Neuwerk. The room was a good size, very well-equipped, and very clean. The breakfast is lovingly prepared as a buffet, with something for everyone. Vegans can request special cold cuts, cheese, etc., brought to their table. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Parking is available upon request for €5 per day. We were also allowed to leave our car in another spot until the evening on our day of departure. We would love to return.

A magical hotel right on the North Sea beach. Everything was immaculately maintained. We had a fantastic room with a beautiful view of the mudflats and the sea. We were able to relax wonderfully on the large balcony. The beach is just a minute away. High-quality furnishings, superb beds. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. The hotel's restaurant offers first-class cuisine. We brought our dog with us and appreciated the dog-friendly atmosphere. He even received a welcome gift. We stayed there for 10 days; it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We'll be back.

Our first impression on the first day of our vacation was spot on! The two weeks flew by, and the entire hotel staff made us feel right at home. So we've decided to come back soon. That says it all!

A wonderful short break in Sahlenburg thanks to the Hotel Wattenkieker! The reception, the rooms, and the location were all perfect. It's truly a very dog-friendly hotel. I can also recommend the restaurant; the Sahlenburg one was excellent. The staff are all friendly, especially the housekeepers. We'll be back!

This was our second time here (8 days), and at the family-run Haus Wattenkieker, customer satisfaction is a top priority. The location, right by the sea, is fantastic, as are the spacious, modern, and clean rooms with balconies and sea views. Special requests were immediately fulfilled (we had an extra pillow and a small refrigerator). The breakfast buffet is excellent – ​​fresh food, beautifully arranged. There are two beautiful breakfast rooms – the window seats offer sea and dune views. The small selection of cakes in the afternoon is homemade. Even on our off days (Tuesday and Wednesday), we, as our guests, were served coffee and cappuccino on the terrace. The restaurant menu is small but excellent. Good home-cooked food at reasonable prices. From the cleaning staff to the reception and the service staff, everyone is very friendly. We felt welcome and well-rested. We enjoyed the last two days and would gladly come back.

The Wattenkieker is a fantastic hotel! We ate in the restaurant every evening because the food was excellent. The room was large, spacious, and very clean. The balcony offered a unique view. The value for money is excellent, and the service is exceptionally friendly. In short: we were and still are thrilled!

Beautiful, modern and very dog-friendly hotel in a prime location in Sahlenburg. Very nice welcome from the trainee. The superior room offers more than enough space and is modernly furnished and impeccably clean. Sea view sensational. Breakfast and dinner sufficient and tasty. Service here is also excellent. Were repeatedly in the Wattenkieker and would always stay here again if we end up in this area. The rooms are great, very spacious and well furnished, the view from the room and of course from the balcony is great. Great: the bathroom and toilet are separate and there is a lot of storage space, so you could easily spend a good two weeks here. The breakfast is very good, with a good selection of high-quality products, for example there are several types of honey. Very great: we were able to borrow rubber boots for free for our mudflat walk. And what should generally be highlighted is the pleasantly personal warmth with which everyone in the house treated us. (That was the impression after Easter 2024) ADDENDUM from April 30, 2025: Went there again and felt very, very comfortable again! This time we had a really great family room with 2 bedrooms. And for the first time we had the opportunity to dine in the in-house restaurant - until now we had unfortunately always had the rest days (Tues, Wed) when we were in the Wattenkieker. Outstanding cuisine! And nice service - that applies everywhere and at any time in the house. It was again no problem to borrow rubber boots for free. Breakfast great again. We'll be back!

A short vacation that will be remembered! The Wattenkieker is located directly on the beach and in the forest area. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this hotel is the right place for you. The hotel is comfortably furnished and very clean! There are even towels for the dogs in the entrance area. We had a room with a sea view, which left us speechless when we opened the door. The room cost 10€ more with this view and is definitely worth it! Some of the rooms are carpeted. Everything smelled very fresh and the carpet looked like new. The staff is very friendly! We had a dog with us who was lovingly greeted with treats. The interaction was rather relaxed and relaxed, which we really liked! We were given tips on possible excursions and were also given good advice when we had any questions. Breakfast in the morning is included in the price. There was enough choice for everyone and enough coffee at the table. We also enjoyed it very much. The view of the sea from the restaurant was the highlight for us. In the evening we ate in the restaurant. The menu is clear, but the food is really perfectly prepared and very good. The service here is also exceptionally nice and courteous. Wonderful location, good, friendly staff, only the cleanliness of the breakfast buffet was worth improving, at least during our 3-day stay. But at a high level. You can't go wrong here, the sea view is wonderful.

The hotel is just great. The location is perfect, close to the beach and dog beach. As dog owners, we have never felt so well looked after. The Wattenkieker employees are incredibly attentive and kind. We also rarely experienced that our little Paul was allowed to have breakfast with us. We have booked again for next year. You can do so much on foot or by bike, there are nice places to stop for refreshments. The location of the hotel cannot be topped. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!

It's a shame that you can smoke on the balconies. Smoke also moves into neighboring rooms when you want to ventilate. Otherwise ok.

The food was absolutely amazing! We were a little disappointed at first that there were no more crabs, but the Sahlenburg plate absolutely made up for it! Service great, view very nice and the food was really fantastic!!

Everything is very, very nice about 50m and you are by the sea the rooms perfect on the balcony could be more comfortable chairs as well as in the room next time it will be a comfort room again unfortunately it didn't work out this time. Enjoy 4 more days, the weather cooperates and the next holiday will be booked upon departure, of course in the Wattenkieker in Sahlenburg.

Really great family hotel in an excellent location with a view of the Wadden Sea. An incredibly beautiful view😉 . The staff and the cleaning fairy were extremely friendly. The food in the attached restaurant was good and the price was ok. The beers are also nicer 😉, because they were often flat (stale) but beer was always poured on top instead of bringing the drinks to the guests themselves because the service staff didn't have time for that and the young man was standing around at the counter . That's what we call teamwork! The bed was super comfortable, good mattresses so we were able to sleep well. The balcony with table and 2 chairs and the view of the sea invite you to linger and switch off. Just let your mind wander and observe nature, so you can relax and unwind. When we were there it wasn't high season yet so the promenade was nice and quiet. Great breakfast, it was always freshly replenished if something was missing. A tip from us, if something isn't there, PLEASE speak to the service staff! What we didn't like was that when you had to go to the toilet at night, the light in the hallway with a motion detector went on, so you were basically wide awake. Actually you could turn it off, as the light in the hallway is minimal all night long! We give the hotel a clear recommendation.

Wir haben dort 3x zu Abend gegessen, ohne Tischresevierung das Ende Sep.-Anfang Okt. 2021! War schon ein Problem, aber das wurde durch den sehr freundlichen Empfang am Eingang ganz toll und souverän gelöst und wir hatten immer einen schönen Fenster Platz und eine tolle Küche hat uns begeistert. Wir können nur sagen EMPFEHLENSWERT !!!

Ein tolles Hotel . Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick nach Neuwerk. Für unseren Hund gab es ein prima Überraschungspaket mit Knabbereien, Spielzeug und Kottüten. Toll, wenn sie abends Essen gehen mit Hund kein Problem- es gibt separaten Speiseraum. Personal sehr, sehr freundlich. Frühstücksbuffet und Speisekarte zu empfehlen. Wir waren nun dreimal zu Gast.

Waren zum Abendessen da. Pannfisch mit Bratkartoffeln kann so lecker sein. Leider waren die Bratkartoffeln so Fett getrunken und weich, obwohl ich bei der Bestellung um gute Bratkartoffeln bat. Die Bedienung hat beim Abräumen professionell reagiert: ich sage es in der Küche. Standort gut, Wetter gut, Essen bestenfalls mittelmäßig allerdings waren die Preise auch nicht überteuert.

Bewertung betrifft das Kaffeeangebot. Für 5,90€ bekommt man einen Pott Kaffee und ein großes Stück Kuchen von einer großen Auswahl. Perfekt!

Das mit großem Abstand hundefreundlichste Hotel, welches ich bisher erlebt habe. Sowieso bietet der Wattenkieker einen sehr guten Service (uns wurde sofort ein kleiner Kühlschrank aufs Zimmer gebracht, da wir diesen für das Hundefutter brauchten), die Zimmer sind sauber und modern, das Hotel in bester Lage und das Frühstück reichhaltig. Darüber hinaus sind hier alle sehr freundlich. Würde das Hotel jederzeit weiterempfehlen!

Restaurant Besuch war enttäuschend. Mäßige Qualität vom Essen zu überdurchschnittlich hohen preisen. Z.b. Cola Light bestellt, bekommen Sinalco Cola ......

Ich hatte gestern zum Abendessen das überbackene Schweinefilet und nur kurze Zeit später bitter bereut. Erst hatte ich übelste Bauchschmerzen und zurück im Zimmer musste ich mich dann heftig übergeben. Auf meinen Hinweis das es mir nach dem Essen so ergangen war wurde ich sehr unfreundlich und teilnahmslos angehört, so etwas hätte es noch nie gegeben. Darauf das wirklich viele Fliegen im Restaurant herrumflogen wurde gelogen, dass das nicht so sei. Meiner Meinung nach ein Fall für das Gesundheitsamt!

Super schönes Hotel in bester Lage direkt am Nordseestrand mit Blick auf das Wattenmeer. Schöne Zimmer und super Service. Wir kommen bald wieder.

Wir waren mit unseren 2 Kindern dort. Sauberes Hotel, nettes Personal und der ausblick direkt aufs Meer war sehr schön. Es gibt allerdings auch Zimmer die keinen Meerblick haben. Restaurants, ein Abenteuerspielplatz ,der Strand ,eine kitesurfschule und weitere läden sind fußläufig in kürzester Zeit zu erreichen.
