Beach House - Restaurant, Cafe, Bar in Cuxhaven

The service was nice and friendly, as was the ambience. Veggie burger with fries went like this, fries were partly hard, pattie was more breading than (indefinable) interior, price 17 euros. To be honest, Andalö Spritz is a disgrace, for 8.50 euros you get a completely watered down drink in which the sea buckthorn liqueur has been used at most as a drop of color. All in all, just three stars, but I think you really enjoy the location here. There are enough tourists coming by...

The store benefits from location location location! The prices are usual for Cuxhaven-Duhnen and are adapted to tourists, unfortunately the quality of the food is not good. Price-performance is better among competitors. Unfortunately, the owner Julian-Philipp didn't present himself as a likeable fellow.

Tourist trap in a nice atmosphere The food for three people came half an hour apart. The portion of fried potatoes was a joke and a third of it was burnt. The French fries were dry. The fish okay. During AND after the meal (when cashing out) no one asked if everything was okay or if we wanted anything else. In response to the factual and detailed complaint, a cup of coffee was offered upon request: “We always do it this way and no other way.” Asked again and with a reluctant look you found yourself ready for a scoop of ice cream. Things can sometimes go “off”. But if the opportunity isn't used to turn a negative experience into a positive one, then the store obviously doesn't need it. After all, there are enough first-time tourist customers. Never again for us!

Very nice view, cuisine is commendable, price “normal” for a restaurant on the coast.

We waited an hour and a half for our food. The citizens were good. Unfortunately, nothing more, my Champions Schnitzel was so greasy and if I hadn't been super hungry, it would have been returned straight away. Unfortunately it was already so late that we couldn't get any food anywhere, so I choked down my food. Not to mention the lack of spices in Allen. At the end we were asked how it tasted and when we described our displeasure, we weren't even asked why.

The food was simply fantastic – tasteful at the highest level and prepared with great attention to detail. The service was extremely courteous, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. What was particularly impressive was the fantastic view of the sea, which created a very special atmosphere at sunset. An all-round successful experience – we will definitely be back!

Insane location! Right on the beach, staff super nice!!! Tristan deserves special mention. He still remembers our last stay and was really nice! In terms of price, it's not necessarily the cheapest in the area, but it's compensated for by the service and location. I'd be happy to pay a euro more! Always my favorite on the beach in Cuxhaven!!! Great ambience in a prime location right on the beach, modern and cozy furnishings, outdoor area with bistro for the day, delicious drink or bread rolls on hand. Be sure to reserve the indoor area. Super nice guys in service and on their toes, despite the full house. We can recommend all the dishes that we didn't try and they also looked very good on the neighboring tables! We have tested cod loin in cornflake breading, house plate, crispy chicken burger SEVERAL TIMES. 😉👍🏻 Be sure to try the sea buckthorn ice cream!

Super excited!! We ate here with 4 couples - schnitzel and burger dishes - and we were all completely satisfied. The service was quick and very nice. The ambience with a view of the beach and the North Sea is super beautiful and absolutely worth a visit - whether you “just” stop in for a cold or warm drink or stay for dinner. 👍🏻👍🏻 We'd love to come back

It's just something like a snack bar, but it's very nice to sit outside (if you can get a seat) and watch the sunset. Fish sandwiches, drinks, etc.

The portions are becoming smaller and less loving. The waitress didn't feel like it right from the start and seemed very irritated.

Since the change of ownership, I think things have been steadily going downhill. The employees all seem relatively cool, but they forget that we, the paying guests, pay their salary and not the junior boss who also thinks he is very cool and hip. Not all guests like that. Sometimes less is more and it's better to concentrate on perfect service. On the positive side, in my opinion, the good home-style cuisine is good and I can recommend it.

Location is of course 1a!!!! Food is good, home-style. Most young waitresses are very attentive despite their lack of professional experience. What struck me negatively was a young man (3.4.25.) with slightly reddish hair and a white jogging jacket with Paulaner Keller lettering. Hello, thank you and please and a little more commitment instead of just being cool would be more effective when dealing with guests. Everyone else I've had as waitresses has been top. All in all, I can recommend the Beaxh House.

Wir waren an 2 Abende nicht enttäuscht worden. Beim ersten mal hatten wir Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat. Alles perfekt auch die Getränke. Am 2. Abend hatten wir mehr Zeit und haben dann Kabeljau Loin gehabt mit Salat und auch Bratkartoffeln. Der Fisch war auf den Punkt gegart - lecker- Salat und Bratkartoffeln wie man es erwarten darf - toll. Der begleitende Wein wohl temperiert. Abschließend noch ein Marillenbrand.

The food is rather mediocre. Some of it tastes like a lot of additives and not very natural/homemade. But service is great and the atmosphere is also very nice.

Since the change of management/ownership, I've been here several times and can recommend it without reservation. I ate the salmon fillet and the Kaiserschmarrn a few times. Everything tasted really good. The day before yesterday, I ordered "penne with wok-fried vegetables and roasted chicken breast." I had seen it pass me by a few days before and was eager to try it. I really enjoyed it. And even though it was really busy, I received very friendly service.

We spent three evenings there in a row and enjoyed it too. Without the Beach House the vacation would only have been half as good. The prices are debatable, but what do you expect in a holiday region right on the beach? We recommend you 100% and will be your guests again and again! Keep it up 👏

New restaurant between Duhnen and Döse. Otherwise it was Café Behrens. Has been remodeled and is now called Beach House. We only had a drink there, but we really enjoyed it

We were at the Beach House on March 7th and wanted to have dinner. The service staff was rushed, didn't take much time and forgot our order the first time and then asked the next table after 15 minutes what we would get. We decided against dinner at the Beach House after we got a completely wet beer, which was spilled in front of our table. No excuse. Not again.

Our food was very tasty and freshly prepared. Only the salad as a side dish could be a bit larger.

Service is terrible. You take a seat and are not served. If you see a waitress you have to call her if she clears the table next door and doesn't think of serving herself. And then super rude. You ask for the bill and wait and wait and nothing comes...

We come to Cuxhaven very often and have always been to the Behrens beach restaurant (name before the change of operator) several times and have always been very satisfied with the service and the quality, quantity and the price-performance ratio. After changing operator we would stop by again for a drink or coffee and cake, but definitely not for food. Such exorbitant prices for fish that wasn't cooked (it wasn't translucent, it was raw and hard) and tasted unseasoned. The rice cooked mushy. However, the service staff responded very nicely to our complaints, we were offered a coffee as compensation and also offered to bring something new to eat. When it comes to the ambience, you have to say that it has become very nice, you feel comfortable, and the outside area has also been changed positively so that you can sit outside even when the weather is bad.

Had dinner yesterday. For us a new, more modern design than last time. Not so cold anymore thanks to the winter garden in front of the entrance. Cozy lighting, rather more subdued. Off the menu, large version of kale with pearl barley, is thinner, Mettwurst is not as salty, smoked pork steak is not as dry, but more fatty, pee grainy sausage, spread out the filling. Fried potatoes nice and crispy and NOT burnt. You'll get full delicious food there. My favorite yeast-wheat “MeiselsWeiße”. Dessert was latte macchiato. Attentive service. Parking NOT on the last P, but one earlier or on the street, then free.

So we stopped here for a hiking stop. Great ambience, great view of the beach and sea. Staff friendly and quick. The quality is in line with the other “Björn’s” restaurants - I really believe that the food is as good as the drinks. In our case - Grob, mulled wine and 2 coffees (these were a little weak for us)

Went here to warm up during a rain shower, had grog and mulled wine, then coffee. Mulled wine was good, nicely presented with a dried orange slice, very aromatic. Grog was too watered down, just like the coffee was very thin. Given the high prices, which are of course also due to the exclusive location, this shouldn't actually happen. With grog you got a 0.3l glass, 0.2 would have been enough with the same amount of rum. The atmosphere was very nicely decorated, you can easily watch ships.

Great evenings at the Beach House! I was very impressed with the Beach House! Fresh, high-quality food, super tasty and first-class prepared - you can simply taste the quality here. Added to this is the cozy atmosphere - perfect for switching off and feeling good! The service? Simply great! I was particularly impressed by Tristan, the aspiring restaurant expert, with his relaxed, professional manner. He fulfilled every wish and was super personable. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your final exams, Tristan - you rock it! If you are looking for really good food, a great atmosphere and first-class service, you should definitely go to the Beach House. I'm happy to be with you again every year.

I've been to the Beach House several times, twice in the evening for dinner, but during the day to have a coffee. A very nice atmosphere, a great view during the day. The food, the service, I really loved it. If I'm nearby, I'll definitely go there again!

We just had a drink, there's not much we could do wrong. The Kaiserschmarrn was i. O. However, if you notice that you are only seen as a tourist and are therefore processed, that is bad! Price/performance doesn't fit.

The beach house is very full in the evenings, so it makes sense to make a reservation. The service is friendly. The food OK. The Piementos de Padròn were very salty. The Kaiserschmarren is not recommended, completely saturated with butter, it's more hard than fluffy. Camembert was good.

We were on holiday in Cuxhaven for two weeks and the Beach House was practically around the corner. The prices are a bit more expensive, but with this view and the location it's completely okay. In terms of taste, we weren't disappointed once in our 5 visits. No matter whether it was fish, burgers, bowls, schnitzels etc. it was always good. Personally, I thought the chicken burger was absolutely delicious! The service was always friendly and damn attentive. There was also a high chair for our offspring. The bistro next door is perfect for a “quick” snack or coffee to take away.

I ate a portion of fried fish here in the bistro. Quality and taste were good. Unfortunately, the bistro's tables are a bit out of the way. If you want to have more choice of food and see something of the beach, you should eat in the restaurant.

The restaurant is in a great location, right at the entrance to the beach and you can see the sunset in the evening. We liked the food so much that we only ate there on our weekend. Good quality, everything freshly prepared. Very nice service, despite the full outdoor area. We'd love to come back!

During a break on a tour, we were guests in the outdoor area of ​​the Beach House. Self-service is the order of the day here, and we were greeted warmly when we ordered. The typical dishes (currywurst, nuggets, fries, various fish rolls, etc.) for this type of gastronomy are offered here. This also needs to be evaluated and it was very good. Both the fries and the nuggets were just right. The fried fish rolls were plentiful and tasty. The prices were okay for the location, as were the drinks. All in all, a perfect location for a short break, therefore full stars.

We ended up here for lunch. Great ambience, beautiful views and cozy outdoor spaces. The service was very good. The food, especially the fish, was a little underseasoned for our taste. This is of course a matter of taste. After we added a little salt and pepper, everything was fine.

We were in the winter garden of the Beach House on Friday evening. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. All extra requests such as extra crispy fried potatoes, Lillet without fruit and blankets when it got cooler were fulfilled. We quickly came into contact with Björn personally and immediately had a great recommendation for the rest of the evening. (Björn’s Paulaner Keller) Unfortunately it was low tide, so we can only give it 6.5 out of 5 stars at this point 😂😂😂 We had a really good time and the evening was rounded off with a fun jaunt along the promenade. 🤪 The 3 Angels for Charlie would love to come back 🥳🥳

The bistro team (visited on September 7th, 2024) is super friendly. The fries were excellent, crispy and tasty. Recommendation!

We were there as a group today. We arrived and I was told straight away by the waiter that I should please park my stroller away from the table by the ashtrays. For food we had 2x fish & chips, 1x currywurst and 1x the house plate; all dishes with fries. The fries were unseasoned and dry. They tasted like sausage, so you can assume that all dishes are fried in the same fat. The mayonnaise bottle standing on the table in the sun was empty. We had to get another one from the next table. The fish was coated in an extremely thick breading that was fried far too dark. My mother had a hair on the fish. The currywurst didn't taste good either. My apple spritzer was stale. The house plate costs €25. 3 pieces of fish were carelessly thrown onto the plate, the side salad was just decoration. Here you get maximum snack quality at upscale restaurant prices. But what annoys me the most is that I asked if my 10-month-old daughter could have a small potato. The menu lists the baked potato with sour cream as a side dish. I would have gladly taken this and paid extra. The waiter said that this potato is only available in conjunction with a main course. He suggested buying a baked potato with herb quark as an adult meal for my baby. I find that really bizarre. We won't be visiting the store again.

Beach house restaurant main vibe is seating at the dawn and watching the sunset on the horizon while sipping your favourite beverage 😉 I had a vegan burger which was okay and also the staff were quite helpful.

You can get everything here, not just fish. I tried several things, fish, schnitzel, burgers, fries, fried potatoes, boiled potatoes. I like to come back every year! Service is TOP!
