We ate there today, everything was perfect. Superb service and top-notch staff, all friendly and in good spirits. It couldn't have been better. Thank you so much!

Fantastic restaurant right on the beach, incredibly friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, and delicious food. We've been there twice for lunch and again tonight, and each time it was superb. We enjoyed sitting in the cozy conservatory and savoring the tasty dishes. Definitely a highly recommended spot.

Hi everyone, the Beach House is definitely worth a visit, or as we do, several. The staff are very attentive, very friendly and very humorous. The food is amazing, there is enough on the plate and the taste is sensational. We can definitely recommend this restaurant.

First things first: The location and view are unbeatable. The service staff were also very (child-)friendly. The ambiance is also nice. Unfortunately, the food consists mostly of convenience food. The burger was dry, and the fried potatoes had a consistency more like deep-fried or twice-fried. The schnitzel, however, seemed fresh. Bottom line: If the food were also good, it would be unbeatable.

We spent a week in Döse in August and ate almost exclusively here because it was simply unbelievably delicious. I ate my way through the menu and loved everything. Perfectly seasoned, great portion sizes, and everything tasted freshly prepared. Highly recommended. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. And to top it all off, depending on where you sit, you can even see the sea. I'd love to have this restaurant in Cologne 😅 Looking forward to next year! 🥰

Tables overlooking the beach and sea. Reservations recommended. Fast and attentive service. A varied menu with delicious food and drinks.

The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the great location and the times we live in. They're not on welfare, after all, and they have to make ends meet... It was a shame we were seated right by an exit, and it was a bit chilly there. Hence, 4/5. The service and food were really good and of a reasonable restaurant standard. We had fish and steak.

Summary: Great location to enjoy the sunset after an evening stroll. In detail: It was a mixed day, but the clouds clearing promised a beautiful sunset. We only had one drink, but we still felt like welcome guests. Even though a strip of clouds prevented the perfect sunset, it was a lovely evening in a great location and a welcoming atmosphere. Our second visit was another great evening with friendly hosts, this time even with a great sunset.

Highly recommended. We spent a week in Cuxhaven and ate here every day. Everything on the menu is fresh and highly recommended. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back.

Right on Cuxhaven's beach, with a view of the sea and the beach chairs. It's a bit of a walk from the Kugelbake (a lighthouse), but it's worth it. The food is well-seasoned and worth the money. The staff is consistently friendly (our waiter even offered to pour water into our glasses at peak times). There's seating outside (even in gusts of wind), partially covered inside (sometimes with wind "around the corner"), and completely inside (a change when the sun is shining). We were so impressed that we went back after two days. The prices are "average for Cuxhaven" (we tried a few places between the ferry port/Grimmershörn and the beginning of Döse). Our conclusion: If it looks "okay," it's actually "okay." We'd love to come back here again.

The seating is very nice on the beach, inside or outside. Service was mixed. It started to rain, and we were given a table inside. The waiter spilled some of the soda while serving. He apologized, but that was it. The least he could do was wipe it up. The fish soup, which was delicious, came with one small slice of baguette. The veggie bowl was poorly prepared and lacked flavor.

I highly recommend it! Björn H. has good restaurants: Björn's Beach and the Beach House (formerly Café Behrens). Björn H. has modernized the former Café Behrens and created a pleasant atmosphere. The beach house is located directly at one of the main entrances to the sandy Doese beach. You can walk either toward the Doese beach hall or toward Duhnen beach. A fee of €4.20 is charged at all entrances to the sandy beaches in Cuxhaven, Duhnen, and Doese, collected at the entrances. The beach house is easily accessible by car (parking spaces in front of the dike in Steinmarner Trift), bicycle, and even on foot.

We had a relaxed meal with our family of seven, and everyone had a varied menu. The food was top-quality, and we all enjoyed it very much. A big compliment to the team there, the excellent service, and the courtesy of our guests. We look forward to our next visit. A must-visit if you're in the area.

Hello, I ordered the redfish with potato salad. The plate was nicely presented, but the redfish was really tiny. It's a shame it was a child's portion. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and the ambiance was lovely. Unfortunately, the only thing that was disappointing was the value for money...hence only 2 stars.

We sat in the conservatory, where it can get a bit chilly at times, but it was a wonderful, relaxed experience with a magnificent view of the North Sea. The service was humorous, prompt, and reliable. It's really affordable, and you can easily add dessert. The two of us were able to get a spontaneous seat, and the menu included vegan dishes and, above all, a particularly varied menu with plenty of choice. I would come back again and again!

We ate there for the first time "on a whim" and were delighted. All the fish dishes we ordered arrived after a reasonable wait and were plentiful and incredibly delicious. The fish wasn't half-raw or overcooked; it was as it should be. The side dishes were fresh and plentiful. The staff were pleasantly friendly, and you immediately got the feeling "I'm welcome here" rather than "I'm just a guest." The ambiance, directly 30 meters from the North Sea, had something to it. Well, if you're expecting a 7-star gourmet palace where you address the waiters formally and give tips, you've come to the wrong place. But everyone else shouldn't have any reason to complain. The only downside, though, which the restaurant owner probably can't be blamed for: The parking fees were quite high (€6 for about 2 hours). There's definitely room to improve this.

We were there last week evening for sunset. Great atmosphere, delicious drinks, very friendly waiter. The next day we went for dinner. Since everything outside was occupied, we went to the winter garden and wanted to sit at a table for four. This was refused. We were told to sit at a table for two. There were exactly two free ones in the middle of the crowd and exactly 1 cm apart from the neighboring table. A couple arrived after us, and they were then led to the table for four, which we had been denied two minutes earlier. Then another couple arrived who were supposed to sit at a table for two, but didn't, instead sitting at a table for four. So, after the third couple sat down at a table for four, and I was bumped into at least five times by the aforementioned waiter because we were squashed in the middle, my daughter and I got up and wanted to sit at another table near the edge. We were denied this again (!), supposedly because they needed a table... yeah... I felt completely ripped off. Anyone could sit at a different table, except for my daughter and me. We then moved to the right side to a table for two at the edge, where we were served by another, very nice waiter. We spent a lovely, delicious evening there.

The view is fantastic, if you can sit outside. The service is okay, but not outstanding. The food is excellent. The redfish and cheeseburger are very good.

This great restaurant/café is located right on the beach in Duhnen. It's very quiet and offers a beautiful view of the North Sea and the beach. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside. I ordered the Alpine cheeseburger with fries. It was served very quickly and not only looked great, but tasted excellent too. Absolutely top-notch value for money. The service staff is very attentive and friendly. They even brought me a new napkin because the old one was already smeared (the burger had a good amount of sauce on it). I've never experienced such unsolicited service anywhere else. I will always eat here when I'm in Duhnen.

Beautiful place, good food, attentive and friendly service. It's a shame that many Cuxhaven residents are averse to dogs. They are among the most social creatures in the animal kingdom and a true enrichment for us humans.

We only had something to eat and drink. The food (Finkenwerder plaice fillet) was unfortunately very salty. The fried potatoes were so-so. The price was quite high at €24.90. The service could be improved in some places; they weren't really paying attention. They weren't attentive either. But that's something we can work on. And who knows, maybe they'll smile.

We were there for dinner and parked behind the dune (free parking/many parking spaces are free after 6 p.m.) – a maximum of 5 minutes on foot. When we arrived there at around 6:15 p.m., the restaurant was already busy. Since the weather was nice, we decided to sit outside. It's simply beautiful to sit outside. The prices are a bit expensive, but we can say that it's absolutely justified. Firstly, the great location, then the friendly and attentive service, and the great food. We had burgers, and they were truly something special (fresh and good ingredients, and a little different from "classic" burgers). A great restaurant that we can happily recommend!

Very nice atmosphere, right on the beach. The restaurant is divided into different sections. The menu is a bit confusing in terms of style (Edame or Spanish Piedmont?!). But overall, the food is very tasty. The redfish with potato salad was delicious. The fish fillet burger is also highly recommended. Service was friendly and attentive.

I asked for an ice cream menu...they replied he didn't have any. I asked if they didn't have any ice cream...yes, they did...very arrogant service. The guy had already struck me as very arrogant during the previous owner's visit. The renovations have made everything very dark inside... You don't have to go there...

Overpriced and food could actually be better for the price.

We first went to Björns Beach – we ate there, and then went to the Beach House for a drink on the beach. The food was delicious, freshly prepared – the service was really fast even though the place was packed – but we never had to wait for a second drink. The caipirinha that evening was very generously mixed and actually consisted of cachaça and ice... the mojito was delicious. €10 for that size is on the high end of what I consider acceptable – but the beach location and "only restaurant open after 9 p.m." will also play a role, and that's totally fine. The staff at both restaurants were super friendly, and we immediately got a tablecloth for outside when it suddenly got cold. This is a great place to go! (There were also a few nasty seagulls, just like they belong on the coast. They were there voluntarily, but they delighted all the guests (and made them cover their drinks))

We went there several times during our vacation. The service was always excellent, very friendly, and attentive. The restaurant is located right on the beach, which is reflected in the prices. Overall, we were satisfied with the food. Some dishes were very salty, but not overly salty. We usually went around 5 p.m., and the wait for our food was 15 minutes. After 6 p.m., it gets considerably busier, and without a reservation, you'd have to be lucky to get a table.

We received a very friendly welcome and were quickly offered a seat. Unfortunately, it's very cramped, which naturally makes it very noisy. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. However, for the price of around €19 for a schnitzel with fried potatoes, I expected a little more. The schnitzel was very small, unfortunately. But all in all, it was a nice evening. In my opinion, the staff did a very, very good job and were more than friendly and accommodating.

The price is quite steep. But when the food arrives, you know you haven't made a mistake. The chili cheeseburger is definitely delicious!

The food was okay, but we wouldn't necessarily go back just for the food. The amazing view of the beach and the sea and the overall atmosphere were great. That's definitely a reason to go back, and I would recommend it. The service was friendly, and considering it was quite busy on a Sunday, everything went relatively quickly. All in all, it was a nice visit to the restaurant.

Apparently, they've been remodeling here. It looks really chic. The food is fantastic. The prices are the same whether you sit outside or inside. Well, that's Cuxhaven if you want to sit by the sea.

One of my favorite spots for enjoying peace, ambiance, and excellent food after a hard day at work. I've often made the 60-minute drive straight after work just to unwind here for a while. I'd go back anytime!

The prices are quite steep. French fries with calamari on a paper plate with disposable wooden cutlery cost around €13.50. For that, I got two fish sandwiches and a beer at the Landungsbrücken in Hamburg.

It was simply amazing! I had the chicken bowl, my husband had the 🍔. The service was absolutely attentive, courteous, friendly, and simply incredibly professional. Unfortunately, that's rare. Value for money 1 with * Absolutely recommended 😘

The service was nice and friendly, as was the ambience. Veggie burger with fries went like this, fries were partly hard, pattie was more breading than (indefinable) interior, price 17 euros. To be honest, Andalö Spritz is a disgrace, for 8.50 euros you get a completely watered down drink in which the sea buckthorn liqueur has been used at most as a drop of color. All in all, just three stars, but I think you really enjoy the location here. There are enough tourists coming by...

The store benefits from location location location! The prices are usual for Cuxhaven-Duhnen and are adapted to tourists, unfortunately the quality of the food is not good. Price-performance is better among competitors. Unfortunately, the owner Julian-Philipp didn't present himself as a likeable fellow.

Tourist trap in a nice atmosphere The food for three people came half an hour apart. The portion of fried potatoes was a joke and a third of it was burnt. The French fries were dry. The fish okay. During AND after the meal (when cashing out) no one asked if everything was okay or if we wanted anything else. In response to the factual and detailed complaint, a cup of coffee was offered upon request: “We always do it this way and no other way.” Asked again and with a reluctant look you found yourself ready for a scoop of ice cream. Things can sometimes go “off”. But if the opportunity isn't used to turn a negative experience into a positive one, then the store obviously doesn't need it. After all, there are enough first-time tourist customers. Never again for us!

Highly recommended, very nice staff eat anyway

We waited an hour and a half for our food. The citizens were good. Unfortunately, nothing more, my Champions Schnitzel was so greasy and if I hadn't been super hungry, it would have been returned straight away. Unfortunately it was already so late that we couldn't get any food anywhere, so I choked down my food. Not to mention the lack of spices in Allen. At the end we were asked how it tasted and when we described our displeasure, we weren't even asked why.
