So I don't want to be petty, the waiter looks Japanese, I drink a white wine, he wants to pay, he says €8 for a 0.2 Riesling, I give him €10 and he says thank you and moves on🤔 and there was no paper in the toilet That didn't work either... the store used to be called Berens and it was great.

Update 2024 Unfortunately, the bistro doesn't convince us either. Drinks, snacks and ice cream are very expensive. The fried fried fish roll costs 7 euros. The little beer 4! 2023: Location and view are really great. But unfortunately you also pay for that. A small plate of simple, almost unseasoned pasta with spinach cream sauce 15 euros! The burger was ok but nothing special. Unfortunately, the food is not price-performance ratio at all. The service staff were all friendly. I would come back for a drink. Definitely not for a meal.

Unfortunately no recommendation despite delicious food. The young Keller who served table 45 today has obviously not heard the term “service”. Very disappointing. When ordering, we asked that enough SoureCream be served with the potato. He said this wasn't necessary & of course it wasn't enough. When asked to bring a little more, he said it would cost extra. With a price of €23 for the potato with crayfish, I definitely expected that 1 spoonful of SoureCream should be manageable. I asked him to clarify this with his superior. The SoureCream arrived - without comment. Only after payment did we receive the invoice - surprise - the SoureCream had now been charged. Outrageous. Thanks to the service we won't come back, even if the food was tasty. Too bad!

I went to dinner with my two kids today. The service was great and very friendly to the children. The food was very tasty and sufficient. The schnitzel for the children was freshly breaded and not a conventional frozen schnitzel. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. If I had to criticize something, it would be the temperatures inside, but that's really complaining at a high level. Thanks to the friendly staff!

The hotspot in Döse. Great place. Even if you spend a euro more - it's worth it. Friendly, good - great atmosphere.

We wanted to reserve a table at 6 p.m. - which was only possible at 5 p.m. - even though there were a lot of seats available at 6 p.m. The pasta with spinach was totally overcooked. Among other things, we ordered crabs with fried potatoes and a fried egg - we got crabs with baked potatoes The salad crunches from all the sand. Probably okay for drinking coffee - but not for eating out. Behrens was 1000x better!

Absolute recommendation 👍🏻! Of course it's a little more expensive, but it's a great location. The food and long drinks were very tasty and the service was great 🔝! As far as we could observe, everything was done to accommodate the guests. We'd love to come back!

I was in the restaurant twice and found the staff to be below all standards (listless and unprofessional). One evening I entered the restaurant and simply wanted to postpone a reservation for an hour. 3 waitresses were talking to each other and no one wanted to deal with my request. I asked one of the seated waiters to please stand up and come to me and the reservation book. He replied to me in a harsh tone, what do you want!!! I would have preferred to cancel the reservation completely. My request was then handled with difficulty. Today we were there again and the next blast. I asked for a small 0.1 liter. Glas of wine. The waiter's brusque answer: "No, that doesn't exist here. You only get a small glass if you first order a 0.2 liter glass." Impossible! I have never received such a stupid and cheeky answer in a restaurant.

You should definitely stop by here. It's definitely worth it and offers something for every taste when it comes to eating, drinking (or just relaxing with little things)! Beach bar and restaurant located directly on the beach with an unbeatable location for sundowners! The menu is extensive with a wide and delicious selection. Drinks, wine & cocktails etc. same selection. The food is impeccable in terms of quality, preparation, taste and quantity. A flower picking for the senses and especially the palate. Went there with 5 people, 2x schnitzel (great quality and taste. Preparation to the point), shrimp pans (also great), Kaiserschmarrn (really tasty, pure sin) and chicken cordon bleu. Service is really on point and everyone helps at full speed where they can without generating chaos. Strongly attended! Price and performance are absolutely ok. Plenty of space inside and outside.

Sat down at a table to have a beer. Waited ten minutes and no one came to take my order. Around me, other tables with new guests were also being served. I then left without ordering. A pity

Great location/view and attentive service. We only shared a few vegan and vegetarian snacks because we were just a little hungry. However, we found other dishes on the menu that appealed to us. Definitely going to remember it for next time :)

Unfortunately the food wasn't tasty. Fries were very salty and chicken chips needed some more color. 9.50 is not exactly a small amount for a small portion. Service was very nice.

The food was freshly prepared, not frozen goods. I had schnitzel with mushrooms and onions and fries. The food was very tasty and since it wasn't frozen goods, the price wasn't too expensive either. All in all, pretty cool. Pasta with spinach cream sauce tasted great, but cooked a little too long, the pasta was a bit very soft. The fish house plate was really great and the tartar sauce was definitely homemade. The three different types of fish were on point and the fried potatoes were also great. The service could be a little more attentive, sometimes you had to make sure you caught someone to order a new drink. Unfortunately we sat in the winter garden because it was super full, so a point was deducted for ambience. The restaurant itself has a view of the sea. Also very important for us: No problem that we had our dog with us.

The restaurant used to be called Behrensen and was absolutely top notch anymore. Unfortunately, we've been here once and that's enough! 14 euros for a currywurst I can only say they didn't hear the bang! The location doesn't justify the prices either! Once and never again !!

The food was ok, I like the new seating outside, the interior is visually nice as long as the restaurant is not full, otherwise the seating is too tight, too loud, canteen atmosphere. The menu is more geared towards fast food, schnitzel, burgers, currywurst, fries, fried potatoes, salad, a few fish dishes, you can't go wrong, the prices are in the upper segment, the quiet, dignified atmosphere and the varied, high quality Unfortunately there isn't much left of the previous owner's menu! Some guests have already dubbed the location a “pub.” What a shame!

For decades this was the “Cafe Behrens” and was always well attended because it was located directly at the beach entrance. The location of this restaurant is brilliant, and visitors enjoy the view of the beach. A fast-food kiosk also tempts with cakes, drinks and quick small hot meals (sausage, French fries/fried potatoes) and ice cream, especially for families with children.

We spontaneously decided to visit the beach restaurant on a Friday evening in March and were more than thrilled! Despite a last-minute decision, we easily got a table for five people. Ambiance: The ambience of the restaurant is simply stunning. The stylish and modern furnishings combined with the fantastic sea view create an incomparable atmosphere. Particularly noteworthy is the cozy design, which guarantees a relaxed and pleasant evening. Service: The service was excellent. The staff was always friendly, attentive and quick. Our orders were taken quickly and the food and drinks arrived at our table in no time. What was particularly nice was that the plates were warm so that the food didn't cool down so quickly. The food: The absolute highlight, however, was the burger that I ordered. Juicy, perfectly grilled beef, fresh lettuce, crunchy cucumbers and a wonderfully spicy sauce made this burger a real taste experience. The fries served with it were crispy and well seasoned – just perfect! My companions were also very happy with their dishes, including the fried fish in beer batter and the veal Wiener schnitzel. Conclusion: The evening in the beach restaurant was a complete success. Not only did we enjoy delicious food, but also the wonderful views and pleasant ambience. Without question I will come back here on my next holiday and can highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who is in the area.

We come here 1 or 2 times every time on our vacation (or just to drink some wine (Pinot Gris...😜) .... every time we are thrilled with the food and service ... the atmosphere is also fantastic .... big thumbs up. ...keep it up!!!!!!!!

Right on the beach, expensive and not for families, a shame

Tolle Lage am Strand und freundliche Bedienung. Nach der Bestellung wurden Getränke und Essen sehr schnell serviert. Alle Gerichte waren auf den Punkt gegart und sehr lecker. Auch kann mit allen Karten gezahlt werden, ausser Amex. Man wird uns auch hier wieder sehen.

Great location, very tastefully decorated The service and the food were also absolutely top. Highlights were the matjesfilet housewife style and the brownie for dessert.

What a taste experience. I had vegetarian curry. Never eaten so well in Cuxhaven before. Pinot Gris very tasty. The ice cream is awesome. I can only recommend this location to everyone. And then when the sun sinks into the sea. Is there anything more beautiful. Many thanks to everyone at the Beach House. You made our last evening a highlight.

My girlfriend and I ate fried eggs, mushrooms, vegetarian curry and the vegan burger with fries there, and everything was completely convincing.

Great selection of salads, bowls also vegan, but also currywurst, matjes and much more. It's definitely worth a visit and if the weather cooperates it's even more beautiful

A nice location in Cuxhaven on the beach

I wanted to wash my hands quickly before ordering. I asked the employee behind the counter where the toilets were. Her answer: “They are here only for our guests”. When I tried to explain that I wanted to wash my hands first, I was very rudely told that the nearest public toilet was 200 meters away. You can certainly understand why I didn't consume anything here anymore and instead went to the next beach bar, where this wasn't a problem.

No reservation for dinner was no problem at all. Waiters are friendly and attentive. Food and drinks were served quickly. It was also nice that the plates were warm so the food didn't cool down so quickly. Despite the full house, reordering went quickly. The view right on the lake is a dream.

Very nice, attentive and capable waiter, today I got the recommendation from him to eat pork salmon on spaghetti gorgonzola sauce with bacon and it was just super delicious!! The ice cream is also highly recommended! Great location, clean and tidy and right on the beach. We'll be happy to come back! Keep it up!

Very nice restaurant. There are a few tables at the very front of the podium in front of the beach, which are perfect when the weather is nice. The children play in the sand, the handcart fits next to the table and you can eat in peace. The staff is on point, the food is good and comes quickly. It also looks very nice inside. We were there twice and will be back!

Just quickly picked up two portions of fries and 1x rice pudding as I was passing by, everything was tip-top: Even if it was the simplest cuisine, everything was perfect, plus nice staff and a chic bistro. You can also sit outside very nicely. Price-wise upscale, but worth the money.

Everything was very nicely done, the price of the food was pretty exorbitant!!! Baked potato with crabs for €20! Curry with salmon for €28.50!!! Sorry it does not work! 20% over!!! We are not in the city center here in Hamburg!! It's a shame otherwise very nice to sit and drink, but the joy of eating goes away there!!
