Alte Apotheke in Radebeul

No information that it was a Christmas market and that parking was half a kilometer away. Small, curly hairs in the bathtub, water damage in several rooms. And cobwebs on the ceiling in several rooms. Never again! P.S.: And the dirty sock next to the sofa was the absolute highlight.

It was a wonderful evening. The food was excellent, and the service was superb. We immediately booked again for next year's Christmas party. I highly recommend it.

Yesterday, two of us had lunch at the Alte Apotheke – and it was a complete success. We found a cozy spot outside in the partial shade under the trees, perfect for a relaxed lunch. Even though it was quite busy, we were served quickly and friendly. I had potato soup for starters, followed by a schnitzel with boiled potatoes and fresh chanterelles. My wife opted for pasta aglio e olio. Everything was served promptly, arrived piping hot, and tasted delicious. The ambiance in the restaurant itself is also very inviting, well-kept, and comfortable. Add to that the high standard of cleanliness – what more could you want?

Uncomfortable, but the service was nothing to complain about. Friendly and professional. My chicken breast pasta was overcooked, way beyond al dente. Portions (for me) were much too large.

Relaxed ambiance, super friendly service, and truly good food. Even a simple salad was lovingly prepared and delicious. The atmosphere is pleasantly informal, and you immediately feel at home. The value for money is absolutely spot on here :)

Wir waren am Freitag , 18.07.25 zu 4t in der Alten Apotheke in Radebeul essen. Radebeul ist ein kleines Städtchen mit wunderschönen Flair, kleinen Gassen, einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Das besondere für mich, das Restaurant war gut besucht, wobei andere Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe leer waren, aber nach dem Besuch war mir klar warum…. Als wir ankamen war unser Tisch reserviert. Wir wurden direkt sehr freundlich von allen Mitarbeitern begrüsst. Die Getränke 3 Aperol Spritz und 1 Cola waren sehr schnell bei uns und wir konnten direkt unsere Bestellung für das Essen aufgeben. Eigentlich wollte ich Matjes nach Hausfrauen Art bestellen, aber als dann die Zusatzkarte uns noch schmackhaft gemacht wurde, war meine Entscheidung eine andere. Pfifferlinge! Somit entschieden wir uns für. 2x gebratenes Schnitzel mit frischen Pfifferlingen und Bratkartoffeln 2x Rindsroulade mit Rotkohl und Klössen/Kartoffeln und zusätzlich Pfifferlinge 2x Quarkkeulchen Die Umbestellung der Beilagen, kein Problem. Das Essen: Der Koch versteht sein Handwerk. Das Schnitzel frisch paniert, in einer Pfanne gebraten, so wie ich es eigentlich erwarte. Die Pfifferlinge, ein Wow-Faktor. sehr gut gebraten, sehr gut gewürzt, NICHT Bitter. Die Bratkartoffeln. Lecker. mit Zwiebeln und Schinkenwürfel Die Roulade. sehr zart ,nicht trocken und mit der Sauce ein Traum Das Rotkraut. gekocht wie von „Mutti“. das sagt alles aus. Die Klösse. einfach perfekt. Quarkkeulchen. frisch gemacht, leider ohne Rosinen, sehr lecker und luftig. Das Essen war einfach Top. Gutbürgerlich einfach nur das beste. Der Service besonderst hervorzuheben, denn wir haben nie vor leeren Gläser gesessen. Auch die Sprüche, total passend. Ihr macht Euern Job drüber hinaus. Bleibt so und macht weiter so. So macht Essen gehen Spass Wir kommen wieder, auch wenn es sehr weit ist von Zürich aus. So wünsche ich mir jeden Restaurantbesuch.

On Friday, July 18, 2025, four of us ate at the Alte Apotheke in Radebeul. Radebeul is a small town with a wonderful atmosphere, small alleys, and a cozy atmosphere. What was special for me was that the restaurant was busy, even though other restaurants nearby were empty, but after the visit, I realized why... When we arrived, our table was reserved. We were immediately greeted very warmly by all the staff. The drinks – three Aperol Spritz and one Coke – arrived very quickly, and we were able to place our meal orders right away. I actually wanted to order herring, traditionally cooked, but when the additional menu was presented to us, I changed my mind. Chanterelles! So we decided to go. 2x fried schnitzel with fresh chanterelles and fried potatoes 2x beef roulade with red cabbage and dumplings/potatoes, plus chanterelles 2x Quarkkeulchen (curd dumplings) Reordering the side dishes was no problem. The food: The chef knows his craft. The schnitzel was freshly breaded and pan-fried, just as I'd expect. The chanterelles had a wow factor. Very well cooked, very well seasoned, NOT bitter. The fried potatoes were delicious. With onions and diced ham. The roulade was very tender, not dry, and with the sauce a dream. The red cabbage was cooked like "Mommy's" used to make it. That says it all. The dumplings were simply perfect. Quarkkeulchen (curd dumplings) were freshly made, unfortunately without raisins, very tasty and fluffy. The food was simply top-notch. Homestyle, simply the best. The service deserves special mention, as we were never left with empty glasses. The sayings were also absolutely fitting. You go above and beyond for your job. Keep it up and keep it up. This is how eating out is fun. We'll be back, even though it's a long way from Zurich. This is how I want every restaurant visit to be.

This quaint restaurant is the hottest spot in Radebeul. We're thrilled with the entire team, and Adrian is the perfect and coolest employee in the restaurant. We've known Adrian for three years, and he's arranged for us to rent space in the old pharmacy every year for Pentecost. A big thank you to the entire team, including the kitchen staff. What a beautiful and cozy restaurant in Altkötzschenbroda...I come here very often and am impressed by the very good staff...the consistently delicious food and the great atmosphere...Keep up the good work!!!!

I ordered pasta with aglio olio. How can you cook aglio olio badly, I ask myself? Instead of cherry tomatoes, they just put in regular tomatoes. They were soft and so weird. And the pasta smelled funny. Also, the arugula wasn't washed. I'm ashamed of the restaurant. And after I contacted the restaurant, the waiter said it's not our problem. So arrogant. If you want to make your day and evening bad, feel free to visit the Alte Apotheke and then see a doctor.

It was very pleasant at the "Alte Apotheke" (Old Pharmacy); the food was plentiful and very good. We had Sauerbraten (sauerbraten) with dumplings and red cabbage, all homemade, no specials, and there was plenty of the delicious sauce, too. 😋 Everything was just as you would expect. Friendly and quick service, lovely ambiance.

Urig und schick. Wir hatten Rouladen und diese war absolut gut zubereitet. Leider wirkt und ist es auch ein wenig beengt in der Gaststube, was aber auch auf eine gute Auslastung schließen lässt. Der Preis ist relativ hoch angesiedelt, jedoch für die Qualität durchaus gerechtfertigt. Der Service klappt und der Rest auch. Alles in allem eine gutbürgerliche Gastronomie.

On the occasion of my birthday in April 2025, I had dinner in the vaulted cellar with 26 guests. Not only I but also my guests were very satisfied with the arrangements made in advance, the food overall and the very friendly service from the service staff. Thank you to all employees.

Was there in March and felt completely bad. Not good service and the atmosphere wasn't pleasant either. Drinks 0815. I can cook food at home and it tastes just as good. I can't recommend it!

Weekend breakfast in the Old Pharmacy. What a great location. Friendly staff and a buffet that leaves nothing to be desired (cold meats, jam, eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, muesli, cornflakes... jelly and pudding) And the price is simply unbeatable ;)

The good reviews and the beautiful, rustic ambience gave us hope for a nice end to our “Saxony tour”. But things turned out differently. We both had grilled knuckles with fried potatoes and some sauerkraut that was hidden under the knuckles. The crust was hard not big, impossible to cut or chew; The meat wasn't seasoned - 2 small bowls of mustard and horseradish should probably compensate for that. The fried potatoes tasted like they were 3 days old. Guys - there's a better way! Unfortunately there was also a dispute with the waiter.

The map is manageable but sufficient. The quality of the food is also good and sufficient for a cozy evening. The prices are a bit high, but fair for ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars. If the drinks and food were cheaper, it would easily be 5 stars.

We were here for dinner on September 7th, 2024 with a group of 21 people from 4 different federal states. Luckily, as hosts, my husband and I were there a little earlier than our guests. We would have been ashamed of our Saxon compatriots if they had seen how we were received. Unfriendly, grumpy and listless. Since the assigned table did not correspond to what had been agreed weeks before, we asked. The waiter we spoke to told us that he was just a “little stupid GDR waiter” and had nothing to say!!! So literal! How can you present yourself like that and make yourself so small?! Unfortunately, the designated event manager has not responded to our emails to date. Very unprofessional and incomprehensible. Even the food, which we didn't actually want to focus on here, couldn't score points with its originality and quality. When the waitress asked us about it, we stayed neutral so as not to spoil the very good mood in the group to ruin. We still had a very nice family reunion, which we wanted to round off with dinner together. Unfortunately, we didn't quite succeed. What a shame!!

Wir waren heute in vierköpfiger Familie zum spontanen Mittagstisch Vorort. Nachdem die Servicemitarbeiter ihre anderen Aufgaben erledigt und sich unserer annahmen, wurden wir zügig, freundlich und unkompliziert bedient. Erwähnenswert ist die abwechslungsreiche Kinderkarte. Ebenso Weißbier vom Fass. Die bestellten Gerichte waren alle sehr gut, reichlich und ansprechend angerichtet. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Die zwar schöne (wie alles hier in Alt Kö) aber leider ziemlich staubige Außenanlage kostet leider den 5. Stern. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Trauriger Restaurantbesuch. Das Essen war lieblos und dafür sehr preisintensiv. Vom beschriebenen Yoghurtdressing im Salat gab es keine Spur. Das grob geschnitte Gemüse war stattdessen gar nicht gewürzt, sondern wurde vom salzigen Schafskäse geradezu erschlagen. Selten so einen schlechten Salat gegessen! Schnitzel mit Pfifferlingen konnte man essen, von lecker aber weit entfernt. Wir werden nicht mehr wiederkommen.
