Erstes Ulmer Pfannkuchenhaus - Allgäuer Hof in Ulm

I know that service in Germany is generally poor. But the rudeness of the waitress here just to answer a question is on a whole other level. How can they expect people to come back?

We were in the lovely beer garden. Our sweet pancakes were simply delicious. Prices are good, and service is very attentive and fast. We'll be back again.

Super tasty. Applies to both pancakes, one with fried egg and meatloaf, the other with turkey strips, onions and tzatziki. Prices around €17 each. And we were full.

Okay, the location is a bit hidden, you have to know a little where the inn is, otherwise it's a nice, quiet location and anyone who can't find pancakes to eat here has no idea about pancakes

In the middle of Ulm, the Erste Ulmer Pfannkuchenhaus, a must visit in Ulm, simply brilliant.

Good home cooking combined with pancakes, highly recommended. We have enjoyed coming here for years when we are in Ulm. Always friendly staff and a slightly older but extremely well-kept, rustic restaurant round off your visit to the Fischerviertel. When the weather is good you can sit outside, but it's also very comfortable inside in winter.

We ordered cheese spaetzle for €15 each and got a small children's portion. Accompanied by a small sad salad drowned in dressing. The portion was so small, we finished eating after just 7 minutes. Absolutely outrageous for €15.

Unfortunately, this restaurant was a failure and the service was a disaster. You couldn't pay with a card in the beer garden and you had to go in, but no one was responsible anymore. The price was overpriced and the taste was okay. I won't eat there a second time.

The waitresses are very friendly, committed and in a good mood. We ordered a Cordon Bleu and the Schneiderpfännchen for dinner. The Cordon Bleu tasted good and was also large, and the fries were also very good. Unfortunately, the sauce in the pan was very oily, but that didn't hurt the taste. The side potatoes are excellent. Overall, highly recommended. We also got a place without a reservation, but it certainly makes sense to reserve for times after 7 p.m. and with several people

The Allgäuer Hof is a cozy, traditional Swabian-style restaurant. I stopped by this evening. The ambience is harmonious, really rustic, as befits an old inn. I found the food very good, schnitzel with spaetzle and sauce, a pan cake with apricot coating and a dark from the barrel. Everything tasted wonderful and the portions were very generous. Despite being very hungry (I haven't eaten anything since breakfast), I felt full. It was busy so I had to wait a little longer for some things, but that's totally fine with me. The service was friendly and attentive. The sanitary facilities are clean, there is nothing to complain about here either. I particularly like the prices and the performance ratio. €23.90 for beer, main course and dessert, with tip €27. It couldn't be fairer these days. All in all a recommendation, great restaurant.

If you like pancakes, this is the place for you... good service... rustic character... parking garage 100m away. There is some criticism of the loveless food presentation.

Ordered this mushroom pancake. The Pfannkuchen in itself was tasteless, the tastes only is from the Beilage. But the mushroom with onions and creme was just amazing. May be I will come back to try a sweet pancake. May be may be not.

We were here for the first time today, my boyfriend and I, and we were satisfied! The onion roast with cheese spaetzle was delicious, but the beef was a little tough. The salad was also delicious. The atmosphere, interior and location are very good. Only the prices are perhaps a bit too high. Everything else was great!

We were there today, it was very empty at 1 p.m., our luck. The pancakes were a sensation, great variations and very good portions. The only thing I found stupid was that I couldn't pay with a card because the device was apparently broken. So I had to ask my companion for money. Particularly noteworthy: They even offer gluten-free pancakes if you let us know a day in advance, a great service!

Unbelievable but true. Telephone reservation. Conversation with the employee on the phone. Would like to know the name of the employee in order to be able to make a reservation if necessary. Because the 8 of us would have liked to eat something here and otherwise it would be difficult to get a replacement on the weekend. I quote: I don't say my names, none of us do that on the phone... Speechless about such outrageousness, we won't eat there, not at all!

Mega selection and super tasty. You should make a reservation if you really want a seat, we came spontaneously and just got the last seats at the counter.

We were spontaneously in Ulm and asked if there was anything else available and the ladies made it possible. According to my husbands, the food was great. Unfortunately I was only allowed to eat one soup but that was great too. We notice and the inn. Hmmmmmmm top top!

We managed to get a table despite the house being full. Super friendly service. Large selection in the menu, not just pancakes. Pancakes, whether savory or sweet, have a sufficient portion size and we all enjoyed them very much. We are happy to recommend it 👍

Well, like it's out of time. Unfortunately, our daughter was sick at night.

We were a bit curious and went there! Totally full! Sat at the bar! Service team super nice and attentive! The food was delicious! However, I think 17 euros for 1 pancake with chopped strips is a bit expensive! A salad with it would be great!

Two steps to the entrance. Therefore not wheelchair accessible. A really nice restaurant where you can eat from afternoon to evening. The menu is varied and everything is very fresh and delicious! When I'm back in Ulm, I'll go here again. Toilet very well maintained Tourism and tourists like to stop here, so there may be longer waiting times. But that shouldn't be a problem.

I can't quite agree with the good reviews. The pancakes from me and my companion (cooked ham and cheese & Swabian bacon pancakes) were really nothing special. The careless arrangement was particularly disturbing (sausage and cheese slices slapped on top, tasteless bacon cubes fried into the equally tasteless dough). With a little more love and spice you could get so much out of this, and that's what you can expect given the prices. The service wasn't unfriendly, but overwhelmed. We won't be coming back.

We had a very good time at the Pfannkuchenhaus. The pancakes were delicious and relatively big. A friend came with her dogs and this was not an issue. The place is cosy with rustical wood.

The atmosphere is really great and you immediately feel at home. The team is super nice and friendly. We got a table straight away without a reservation. But you should reserve in advance as it is always full. The food is delicious and plentiful. Would love to come back. Unfortunately it is not suitable for wheelchair users as the entrance is difficult to negotiate with two steps.

A very nice idea in itself, but unfortunately the outdoor area is right on a street that is traffic-calmed, but you still feel like you're about to become a drive-in.

We were at the pancake house yesterday. The food was delicious, but the service was terrible from the start. The staff were unfriendly, seemed annoyed and didn't create a feeling of well-being. The empty plates were also cleared away even though not everyone had finished eating yet. They were also treated rudely when paying, so I didn't tip for the first time. So we definitely won't go there again.

Firstly, I had the feeling that I had been pressured into ordering by the waiter. Then when the food came and I later discovered a hair in the pancake, I called the waiter and showed him the hair. He then offered me a coffee as compensation, which was unacceptable. He said that I still had to pay for the food with my hair. AN INSURANCE. NO RECOMMENDATION

The Ulm pancake house in the Fisherman's Quarter belongs here like the Eiffel Tower belongs to Paris. Definitely a must for pancake joy (and if you don't like it, there is also schnitzel). There are huge portions with different taste explosions from sweet to definitely everything is included. See for yourself, it's worth it.
