Restaurant Zur Lochmühle in Ulm

The food tasted good but was only served lukewarm. The staff was friendly.

So much home-style German cuisine, the economy is firmly in foreign hands. Food was lukewarm, probably warmed up from the day before. Roast meat bland and dry. We could have saved the €50. Not to recommend the economy.

We had a wonderful evening in the Lochmühle today, not least because Tamara was such a wonderful person for us. Even if we were a little demanding every now and then. We would be happy to come back if we were to be in Ulm again. We are happy to recommend it because the food, ambience and, above all, the friendly conditions from Tamara were fantastic. Thank you very much for that 😀👍🙏

We found the restaurant spontaneously for lunch and were convinced! The staff (Sabine) is super nice and humorous and makes you feel comfortable. The food is great, we had lots of different dishes and everyone was completely satisfied! Highly recommended

Simply great! We had a wonderful afternoon in your inn! The food was excellent – ​​fresh, tasty and prepared with a lot of love. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, exactly how you want it to be. Special praise goes to Sabine, who made our visit perfect with her friendly and attentive manner. She was always in a good mood, quick and made sure we didn't miss anything. We will definitely make the trip from Tyrol again and can only recommend this inn! :-)

Very nice location, and one of the best schnitzels I've eaten in many, many years👍👍👍👍👍 absolute top class... Prices aren't cheap but I think they're still normal these days. The only negative, when I asked if they had original Coca-Cola, I couldn't get the answer right, what I got was something stale, non-carbonated, definitely not Coca-Cola, but the food made up for it all... the fries were spot on. Schnitzel and soup perfect....

There's nothing to complain about here. The service, ambience and food were excellent. I had also imagined it to be more expensive in terms of price. Great view when you sit on the terrace in summer. I recently ate the best spaetzle here. The roast pork was also excellent. Great portion

The coach roast or onion roast is fantastic. They also offer super tasty turkey sticks Viennese style. Nice location. Highly recommended when it comes to German food.

We made a short-term reservation online on the morning of January 6th. It worked well. We even arrived 30 minutes early and were lucky that our table was already free. Despite the restaurant being full, we received friendly service and our food came quite quickly. Everything was tasty and looked very good. It is positive that there is food for children up to the age of 14 and that many dishes are offered in smaller portions.

Delicious Swabian and Swiss cuisine awaits you in the restaurant with a 'romantic' name. Berg Bier (smaller brewery in the neighborhood) is rarely and recommended on tap here - light or Pils tastes good. Both guests of the city and locals come here. For New Year's Eve 2024-25, steak made from Japanese Wagyū beef from the area (Witzighausen) was offered.

Cheese sparrows and salad were very tasty. Price was under 10 euros in the afternoon. Fast, friendly service. Always my pleasure.

As always, the food was very good, but yesterday was especially good! Every bite was a treat *-* The waiter came very often and asked if everything was okay and the food and drinks came super quickly for such a large group. There is a point deducted because everything was a bit cramped, it was extremely hot, there was no network or internet (and no WiFi was public), and it was also freezing in the toilet/basement. And the toilet could have been cleaner too. The toilet paper holder is also hanging and you can only get one piece of paper out. But otherwise the food and service was perfect! Any time!

The Restaurant Zur Lochmühle has now become one of our favorite places for us as a family when it comes to good food in a rustic atmosphere. We have been here several times and particularly appreciate the rustic cosiness of the house, which immediately welcomes you, as well as the consistently friendly manner of the staff. The food always impresses us. The dishes are fresh, lovingly prepared and taste excellent. We particularly like the diverse selection and the consistent quality. This time, however, there was a small disappointment: Unfortunately, the duck couldn't keep up with the usual quality and the taste was a little below expectations. The other dishes, however, were, as usual, very tasty and we were completely impressed. Despite this small slip-up, we always enjoy coming here because the overall package of delicious food, an authentic and cozy atmosphere as well as the courteous and friendly service makes Zur Lochmühle something special. Went to dinner at Lochmühle this evening. Unfortunately, I have to say that the staff is completely unprofessional and unfriendly. In my opinion, they have no idea what they're doing, orders come to the table incorrectly, the waitress can't remember who ordered what, etc... The highlight of the whole spectacle was the food. Totally overpriced for what is on offer, classic run-of-the-mill cuisine that every snack chef can do better. It was definitely a culinary kick in the ass, it's a shame I expected more🥴🥴

We had our company party for ADMIN INTELLIGENCE GmbH in the Lochmühle and were thoroughly impressed. The food was perfect for everyone, the taste was a dream and the price was great. The service was also super friendly and always in a good mood, despite all the seats being occupied. We will definitely eat at the Lochmühle more often and can recommend everyone to go there too!

Food average, nothing special and priced rather more expensive. The waitresses are pretty stinky and unfriendly and some of them don't know their own menu! Although the menu states that waitresses are required to print the receipt, none was given to us. Well - better for the environment. There are definitely some better places in Ulm. No recommendation from me.

Today we had the honor of eating here. The hospitality was super nice and very accommodating! High praise, something like that is no longer a given these days. The food was also really tasty, the price was right and you got a huge portion! Overall conclusion: you feel like you're at grandma's house and it tastes the same, I think that says it all. ☺️

We sat outside and waited 20 minutes for a waiter. Another table tried to pay for 30 minutes in vain and after they wrote an email with personal information and were almost outside, the waiter came after them. Strangely enough, there was time to read the email, but not to serve the tables. When another table (that was there before us) got up and left without being served, we did the same. I have to add to the owner's answer that of all the tables outside, less than half were occupied. And that some people noticed how the waiter told the other guests that a simple e-mail was not enough and that they could simply disappear.

I highly recommend it, very good cuisine and friendly environment. We were really very pleased 💫💫

The Lochmühle in the popular fishing district in Ulm is worth seeing with its historic half-timbered architecture and picturesque location on the Große Blau. Especially since the food, the delicious beer from the local Berg brewery and the service are worthy of the good location.

I liked everything. I tasted delicious chocolate fondant for the first time in Germany. There is everything necessary for children, a chair, coloring pages, food. I recommend it to everyone.

Delicious food and a large selection of drinks, friendly service, and the price is still acceptable

More appearance than reality: The reservation for a whole group worked online - nothing special! Ordering drinks and food was relatively quick and the service was attentive (it wasn't busy yet). Afterwards, the restaurant became full and the attention towards the guests, who had already invested most of the evening in planning, was noticeably reduced! They were no longer in control of the situation, no one was interested in us and when we tried to pay several times we were repeatedly ignored. As part of the group, I was about to leave without paying because I was under deadline pressure. But I couldn't do this to the group because it always depends on someone, so I left a contribution of money for someone else to cover my bill. After over an hour, three notices, it was not possible to pay. The waitress was also unable to process billing via card and quickly became aggressive (probably due to the lack of organization and division in all areas). It seems to me that this restaurant is more profit-oriented and doesn't take customers into consideration - more throughput brings more money! I also missed the original Swabian tradition of food in terms of the love for its preparation, as production was more based on tourism! Statement on my part: None of the waitresses or employees spoke Swabian and were rather distant from the kitchen. My impression (and the impression of everyone in the group) was that you might visit this restaurant again but would give preference to others. In my opinion, I wouldn't come as a guest again! The price-performance ratio was also not rewarding (even considering the expensive location). Tip: Find a great restaurant in a side street and you will be happier. Further note: my dish was the most expensive on the menu - there was little on it and little intensity in the taste.

Quaint restaurant with good local cuisine. The day ticket offers good options in addition to the season ticket, for example “treats”. There is no truly dark beer, but Ulrichsbier is an interesting semi-dark option. The service was very friendly, the drinks came at different times, but the food arrived synchronously. Even if some of the group have ordered starters, everyone has their main courses at the same time.

At short notice we decided to eat here as a group of four. We found it positive that we got a seat in the busy restaurant and that we were served friendly and quickly! The beer is super delicious! 🍺 We had a bit of bad luck with food. The grit sausages were cold and the spaetzle wasn't tasty and crispy, but rather watery and carelessly prepared. Too bad! Normally I would have expected an apology from the kitchen or a small compensation from the kitchen or from the bar. But nothing came. Too bad.

Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated significantly. The spaetzle here used to be really tasty, but now we went back to eat spaetzle after a long time and we were really disappointed. Unfortunately, the cheese spaetzle I had today has never seen cheese. Tasted more like egg dishes. Unfortunately, the onions were also soggy and hardly available. Unfortunately the price was too high for that. However, the salad was very tasty!

Actually a very nice restaurant in a good location with delicious food. But what was clearly a dampener was the older waitress who approached us quite briskly when we thought we had made a reservation. In her “friendly” way, she then looked in the system and told us we didn’t have a reservation. A younger person then came along and found our reservation straight away. The older colleague then ran off to show us a table. It's a shame... Everything would have been great, but unfortunately the lady didn't go at all. Direct and unfriendly.

Good home cooking at a price level aimed at tourists!

We had a good meal here during our visit to Ulm. My Tafelspitz was very good and so was the beer.

The food was very tasty. We sat outside right on the Blau! The service was friendly and good. Chairs and benches could be a bit more comfortable. You can park nearby in the Fischerviertel car park.

I would have loved to give it six stars! Very nice location, the food is an absolute dream, very well-kept beers and a waiter who really enjoys his job. It couldn't be better, keep it up!👏🏻

All in all it was ok that our conditions weren't that great, the store itself can't be blamed.
