Nice old restaurant, well decorated. The food was very tasty and the staff was attentive and very friendly. The smell of grease that remained on the clothes after the visit was unpleasant. Maybe the exhaust in the kitchen should be checked. Otherwise very nice restaurant

We went there for dinner as a married couple with our two adult children. For dinner we had onion roast, lentils with spaetzle, Swabian platter (pork with dumplings and cheese spaetzle and asparagus with rum steak. The dish with asparagus had 5 asparagus spears. Various drinks complemented the meal. Everyone was very enthusiastic about the quality of the food. The very good service is particularly noteworthy. We will definitely come back and pass on this extremely good experience to our friends. A huge compliment to the team.

We were there on Sunday evening and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed. We immediately felt at home, very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Food was very tasty. The waiter was super super friendly and relaxed, really good quick service. Due to a food intolerance, we were offered a great solution on our own initiative. Great! Food was tasty and good quantity.

Nice restaurant with very friendly staff, where you can feel right at home. We particularly wanted to try local Maultaschen and it was delivered competently. Cheese spaetzle, potato salad - we've had better everything, but it was really solid pub food, beautifully presented.

A small menu with very good food. The onion roast beef is sensational. It's cooked exactly as ordered and is a decent size. The Wiener Schnitzel is also excellent. The prices for children's portions are comparatively low. Very good wine selection. The overall ambiance is very harmonious. The service is extremely courteous and attentive. You always want to eat like this.

Wiener Schnitzel was probably fried as it was dripping in oil and potato salad was unfortunately tasteless. My companion also had to season the spaetzle with sauce (meatloaf). For me personally the price-performance ratio wasn't right.

There were limited vegetarian options, but overall, the food was delicious, the ambiance was perfect, and during Christmas, it felt even more festive and magical. It added a nice touch to the whole experience.

Were there for the Christmas party. All in all too expensive. Vegetarian dish cauliflower, honestly you can do more with it for this price. Half a blanched cauliflower, lightly seasoned, on the plate with a few leaves of arugula, overcooked peppers and beans, 4 cherry tomatoes and on top some green sauce, pesto or whatever - that's bland food in the truest sense! You can offer that in a clinic but certainly not in a restaurant. Chestnut soup was ok and so was the Kaiserschmarren.

Ristorante individuato su TripAdvisor, non potevamo trovare di meglio, location tipica del luogo ma con un tocco particolare di eleganza e raffinatezza, piatti della tradizione tedesca serviti con un leggero tocco moderno. Abbiamo preso birra del luogo e due secondi, una cotoletta viennese, ed un Lucioperca adorabile. Alla fine per dolce la panna cotta con lamponi più buona di sempre. Una menzione particolare al personale, attento alle nostre esigenze nonostante la difficoltà della lingua.

Despite making a reservation at short notice (during the Christmas market), we still managed to get a place for two. We were welcomed very friendly and served quickly. Had a "girls' night" there, quite pleasant service and delicious food. Today my partner and I - admittedly - asked at relatively short notice whether there was still the possibility of a table for two in the evening/afterwards. This was answered in the affirmative when we asked whether we would also sit at a high table. This wasn't a problem for us, so we said yes. Unfortunately we didn't get this high table; It was probably a mistake on the part of the employee. Instead we were given a seat at the counter. This is not a problem for us either. But unfortunately this place was right before the exit to the toilet and also - as we were then informed - to the lower guest rooms... Unfortunately, this meant that we mostly sat in a draft; because many people didn't close the downstairs door. The “crowning highlight”, however, was the statement of a service employee who said they had to leave this door at least partially open “since they still had guest and storage rooms downstairs... Sorry, that’s not the guests’ problem... When we asked, the service employee offered us a seat further to the right at the counter. If this had been offered to us earlier, no problem, gladly... Above all, we believe communication is the be-all and end-all! In other words, you can simply say when you are fully booked, so the store is “full”, so to speak. So the following conclusion: Communication about everything. If we had simply been informed in a timely and realistic manner - no problem or we would have gone home safely... I don't want to say anything bad, but "communicating" with each other (in a timely manner) is extremely important for us - in terms of customer service/social media etc.!

Wir haben in der Krone im Kronenkeller unsere Hochzeit mit ca. 30 Gästen gefeiert. Alle waren von der freundlichen Bedienung, dem guten Essen und dem Ambiente sehr angetan. Auch das wir aufgrund eines Krankheitsfalles unglaublich kurzfristig unsere Feier noch einmal verschieben mussten war kein Problem und wir wurden bei der Umplanung sehr unterstützt. Wir freuen uns sehr, hier wieder herkommen zu können.

We celebrated our wedding in the Kronenkeller. The planning in advance was wonderfully uncomplicated and pleasant, even when we had to reschedule and postpone everything at short notice due to illness. All guests highly praised the friendly and competent service and the food, and we can only agree with that. The Kronenkeller is also very suitable as an event location and I can imagine one or two events where you can make even better use of the atmosphere. Restrictions on food (gluten-free guests) were also easily implemented and met with trained staff. Gladly again! (But then for another occasion ;-))

Ambience: Really very nice atmospheric interior ambience that visually invites you to linger for a long time with its rustic, warm character. A special highlight is the historic vaulted cellar, which is ideal for large celebrations. :) Service: The service employees on site are all very friendly and very accommodating when it comes to customer requests. :) Food: The kitchen offers very good, varied, delicious Swabian dishes. There are also a variety of additional seasonal dishes on the menu. Overall, super tasty food that also goes well with certain diets (vegetarian/vegan). When it comes to drinks (whether hot or cold), everyone is sure to find the right, tasty drink here. :) In terms of the overall impression, it is a very nice restaurant that scores with good traditional food and drinks, a pleasant atmosphere and friendly, professional service. Clear recommendation from me to visit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit here. ^_^

Luckily found. A really very good restaurant. A bit remote, but if you know where, it's almost an insider tip. Disabled toilet. Access with steps, but I think there is a possibility. The food was very tasty. The waiters were very attentive and regularly asked if anything was needed. And not intrusive. Mega good restaurant. Top!!!!

Nach einem kürzlichen Pächterwechsel können wir die vorherigen negativen Bewertungen nicht bestätigen. Es hat jetzt alles gepasst: vom Service bis zum Essen waren wir sehr zufrieden, der Zwiebelrostbraten war hervorragend, ebenso wie auch das Rumpsteak mit den anstandslos gelieferten Pommes Frites statt der vorgesehenen Spätzle. Wir können dieses historische Lokal empfehlen und würden wiederkommen.

Fantastic place, the oldest and most typical of Ulm, it began its activity in 1300, kings and emperors have been guests, the typical Bavarian food is truly excellent, the service is very professional and friendly.

Ein schöner Sommerabend, wir saßen draußen, hinten im Biergarten. Die Bedienung war super nett. Vorspeise Datteln im Speckmantel, Hauptgang Wiener Schnitzel mit Pommes, Wein dazu, alles sehr lecker, grosse Portionen und alles wurde zeitnah serviert, obwohl alle Tische besetzt waren. Ist zu empfehlen, wir würden sicher wieder kommen.

I had pike-perch followed by a panna cotta all washed down with a Grey Burgunder and a Spätburgunder in the back yard of this venerable institution. The fish that was correctly cooked was accompanied by 11 potatoes which is not very sophisticated but OK according to German culinary standards, and the red wine by the glass was of rather mediocre quality. My waiter was attentive and quick and understood my concern about the number of potatoes.

Steak only with herb bread, no vegetables, no salad, way too expensive. Easy to use. We sat in the courtyard, wooden chairs were very uncomfortable, everything was wobbly because of the cobblestones.

This restaurant is very nice. The waitress knows english quite well and the food is brought to the table quite fast relatively to other restaurant nearby. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is nice. This restaurant is also kids friendly. I definiely recommend eating here.

Fantastic dinner. My wife had the rumpsteak and it was prepared perfectly. I had the Schwabenteller, and that was on point. The spaetzle was some of the best I've ever eaten (I grew up with it in home, and I have the body to prove it). A perfect regional dish. The service was pleasant and attentive.

If you want to give your taste buds an explosion, you should go for the cheese spaetzle. A dream for all cheese lovers! The rustic but pleasant interior design of the restaurant and the service lead to a positive and pronounced sense of well-being.

Great experience. The place itself holds tons of history and the food takes it to a new level. For me, the highlight was the freshly made Maultaschen and Spätzle. I knew I had to try them in Swabia and they didn’t disappoint. As for the dessert, let them surprise you. It’s definitely a special place to visit and enjoy a delicious meal in one of the oldest buildings in town!

You should know the Krone in Ulm! It convinces me with its fair price-performance ratio, fresh taste and unique service. Nowhere is this combination as good as in the Krone. My current favorite on the menu are the delicious apple fritters with ice cream and fruit sauce!

Yesterday we spontaneously stopped and ate there for the first time. Had the original Wiener Schnitzel with spaetzle/ a salad - it was phenomenal, I have to say. Waitress very professional and friendly! Highly Recommended

Hatte ein Krimidinner für meinen Partner ( Geschenk zu Weihnachten) und mich gebucht. Das Ambiente und die Schauspieler fanden wir sehr gut, es war lustig und unterhaltsam. Das Essen hatte Mängel, die Spätzle waren matschig und schmeckten nach nichts, wo war der Käse?? Hätten Käsespätzle sein sollen. Die Bratkartoffel waren nicht gewürzt . Der Nachtisch, Panna Cotta, ein winziges Gläschen sah mir nach Fertigprodukt aus . Alles in allem zu teuer, der Service war ok . Carola aus Senden

Super Servicepersonal! Wir hatten im Dezember hier unsere Weihnachtsfeier von der Firma aus und wir hatten für 70 Personen den Raum im Kellergewölbe reserviert bekommen. Das Personal staunte nicht schlecht wieviel Getränke wir bestellt haben aber hielt mit unserem Tempo wunderbar mit und es kamen alle Getränke flott nach Bestellung wieder am Tisch an. Das Essen war insgesamt lecker. Beim ambiente könnte man sich im Kellergewölbe noch was einfallen lassen, es hat sich etwas leer angefühlt aber wir hatten ja den Raum dafür mit viel Hall und Klang gefüllt. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Abend gewesen! Großes Kompliment an das Servicepersonal, die waren echt auf Zack!

Ich bin am 6.12. 2023 mit meiner Frau ca. 17:15 reingegangen. In der Linke Seite war eine Gruppe mit ca. 12 Personen und an der rechte Seite keine Gäste. Da meine Frau an der rechte Seite sitzen wollte, damit wir in der ruhigere Atmosphäre essen können, habe den Kellner höflich gefragt ob wir sitzen dürfen. Leider wurde abgelehnt, da alle Tische reserviert wären. Ungern haben wir Platz genommen. Dem Kellner habe ich gesagt, dass er nicht die Wahrheit gesagt hat, dass alles Reserviert ist. Er hat gemeint, dass ab 19Uhr alles besetz wird. Sogar er hat mit mir für 500 Euro gewettet, dass ab 19 Uhr voll wird. Das bedeutet, er war faul lange Wege zu gehen, deshalb hat er gesagt, dass alle Tische reserviert wäre. Als ich sagte, dass wir längst mit dem Essen fertig werden, er hat gesagt, dass es linke Seite schöner ist. Noch schlimmer war, dass wir gegenüber Theke neben der Tür natürlich freiwillig gesessen aber dadurch konnten wir sehen was er gemacht hat. Er hat l seine Nase geputzt und seine Rücken und Kopfhaut selbst gekratzt und dann ohne Hände zu waschen Brot in die Körbe getan und zu den Gruppen serviert. Zum Glück er hat vergessen uns Brot und Butter zu geben. Wir haben 2 Rumsteak und zusätzlich ein Portion Pommes bestellt. Steak und Pommes war sehr gut und auch wurde appetitanregend angerichtet . Trotzallem war Servieren auch sehr gut gewesen. Außer Sitzplatz Probleme alles sehr gut gewesen. Ich würde nicht mehr besuchen wegen der Vorfall. Da er nicht versucht hat gut zu machen. Er könnte ein Kaffe oder ein Schnapss auf Haus ausgeben, damit ich verzeihe. Schade eigentlich.

Gehen eigentlich recht regelmäßig dort essen, werden es jetzt in der Zukunft aber deutlich reduzieren, da leider der Geschmack des Essens extrem schwankt. Sie haben dort 3 verschiedene Köche und je nachdem, wer an dem Tag da ist, kann man "Glück" oder "Pech" haben.. dafür ist es dann leider zu teuer, als dass man einen Tag phänomenales Essen und beim nächsten Mal unterdurchschnittliches Essen bekommt. Leider :(

Wir waren zum Krimidinner in der Krone. Die Veranstaltung war super. Das Essen leider weniger gut. Zu erst wusste die Bedienung nicht was es zum Essen geben wird.dann war das Essen,Suppe nur lau warm. Der zwiebelrostbraten war am ganzen Tisch (8)noch nicht mal medium gebraten. Keiner hat aufgegessen.Zwiebeln waren aus der Packung. Und nachdem der halbe Saal schon fertig gegessen hatte, kam die Soße. Personal übertrieben freundlich und schnippisch. Vor dem Hauptgang war das alkoholfreie Bier schon leer.

Girando tra le vie di Ulm, per caso ci siamo trovati a cenare all' aperto in questo ristorante. In attesa delle nostre portate, ci hanno fatto aperto le papille gustative con delle olive e fettine di pane. Decisamente tutto ottimo, prezzi nella norma

Es hängen Spinnenweben überall an den Wänden, haben wir schon Halloween Bedienung am Anfang noch freundlich später dann nicht mehr und unsere Gläser blieben leider leer, denn keiner kümmerte sich um uns und als wir uns beschwerten wurden nur die Augen verdreht Essen brauchte 2 Stunden bis es kam, kalt und war für Schwaben eine Zumutung Spätzle waren nicht gewürzt und schmeckten nicht Fleisch war nicht lecker und hatte Konsistenz von einer Schuhsohle Zwiebelrostbraten war der schlechteste in der ganzen Altstadt. Haben uns sehr gefreut jedoch haben 10 von 11 Leuten ihren Teller nicht leer gegessen. Kommen auf keinen Fall wieder außer wir wollen nicht satt werden und zu viel zahlen

Wieder auf der Suche nach Essen sind wir in der ältesten Gaststätte in Ulm gestrandet. Das Restaurant macht einen soliden Eindruck und sieht sehr wohnlich aus. Die Karte bietet viele lokale Spezialitäten. Jedoch kommt das Bestellte etwas anders als erwartet. Irgendwie eine Kombi zwischen altbewährtem und neuem. Wir jedenfalls waren begeistert, alles war sehr fein und schön angerichtet. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und geht auch auf Sonderwünsche ein. Die Preise sind für das Gebotene im absoluten Rahmen. Eine Empfehlung für alle, die die Traditionsküche etwas anders erleben möchten.
