Nice restaurant, service ok, but food only mediocre and unfortunately too loud.

Highly recommended ☺️ I went there with my vegetarian friend, and the selection of vegetarian dishes is very large and varied for a restaurant. I had roast pork. Upon request, they even served me spaetzle instead of sauerkraut. Totally no problem. Very good value for money. They also offer large drinks! 0.5 liters 😍 Please keep them 🤗 We'll be back! ☺️

Tasty Bavarian style food. The linsen with grilled vegetables was good.

1. Asked for Coke without lemon. It came with lemon. 2. In my opinion, the food was so oversalted that our tongues were still burning 15 minutes later. 3. My payment request was not passed on. 2. I had to ask for it. Hence, 3 stars deducted.

The cheese pork chop is so damn good. The beer is also delicious.

Unfortunately, neither the food nor the service were such that I would recommend the restaurant. The meat was dry and tough, and the cream sauce was watered down. The waitress was rude and couldn't even answer simple questions (Does the suckling pig come with sauce? As someone from a non-Southern German, you might simply not know).

We found the perfect location in Ulm right away. Even though it's still in Baden-Württemberg, right on the border with Bavaria, it has a truly Bavarian atmosphere.

The food was very good, and the portions were huge. We did have to wait in line to get in, but it was worth it. I highly recommend it.

We stopped in spontaneously and were lucky enough to be seated. The service was very friendly and even joking. The food and drinks were excellent. The whole atmosphere was authentic and incredibly cozy. Despite the large number of guests, the restrooms were super clean.

The pretzel is an absolute must when you're in Ulm. The food quality is very high, the cuisine is excellent, and the service staff are super friendly. It's a traditional Bavarian restaurant, even though Ulm is in Baden-Württemberg, but the border to Bavaria/Neu-Ulm isn't far away. ;-) Reasonable prices, great quality, friendly people, and a great atmosphere. We'd gladly go back. :-)

I was there with my family and had a reservation, but we still had to wait forever for our food, and they lost at least one or two rounds of drinks because no one came to order. The waiter was extremely rude and, without warning, spilled a drink on one of us without even apologizing. The food was fine when we finally got it. Unfortunately, it wasn't the experience I wanted to share with my family.

The service was excellent, and the ambiance was very nice, too. However, the giant portion of onion roast beef was barely distinguishable from the "regular" portion, which was a real shame. It almost seemed as if the regular portion had been served on a larger plate. The rest of the dishes, however, were very tasty and freshly prepared.

It is just not the same Brezel which I went some years ago. Food is plain and cold and service is below average. The restaurant is decorated with some strange purple neon light 😫 One overweighed senior waitress is extremely unfriendly 🤮

A lovely spot in the heart of Ulm's old town. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had drinks and Kaiserschmarrn. Incredibly delicious. Generous portions at reasonable prices. Thank you.

The food was good overall. Unfortunately, the potato and coleslaw with the Cordon Bleu (dish of the day) was not tasty at all. We mentioned this to both servers when we asked them about it during the meal... but they didn't take it up with us... a real shame (the potato and coleslaw were, in my opinion, awful - reheated and finished with a dash of "everyday vinegar." The roast beef with onions and fried potatoes was very good.

We've eaten and drunk here several times. The staff is absolutely top-notch! Always motivated and very friendly. You also get very generous portions for a reasonable price. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The food was okay, but it was very warm and a bit loud in the restaurant. The waiter seemed overwhelmed, it wasn't possible to order in peace, he often forgot what we wanted, booked the food for the wrong table, and finally, he laid the bill on the table and asked us to calculate how much each of us should pay ourselves, which was a bit cheeky for a party of six. We won't be going back to this place.

The casual atmosphere in this restaurant is fantastic and immediately creates a relaxed feeling. The dishes are simple yet surprisingly flavorful.

Very unfriendly staff! Very dirty, lots of traffic, not a nice place to sit. You ask for a small portion from the kids' menu because you can't eat any more for health reasons, and you're refused! Only for children, very friendly staff... we'd rather spend our money elsewhere!

We were at the wine festival. The best cheese spaetzle I've ever eaten. I had Wiener schnitzel, which was supposed to come with fries, but I asked if they could serve it with cheese spaetzle, and my request was granted. I was very pleased. The schnitzel was a bit tough but still okay. Highly recommended.

Good, great. Large and tasty portions of local food. The staff were visibly busy but otherwise did their best. A mistake on the bill was resolved without any problems.

We ate there today. A very nice restaurant with a spacious outdoor area. The salads are fresh, the dressing is excellent, and the warm pretzel is a real treat. The turkey schnitzels (2 pieces) were also fresh and nicely pan-fried. That's unfortunately rare these days. The spinach spaetzle were excellent (even if you're not a spaetzle eater). Overall, it was a really tasty, down-to-earth, and very good meal. The restaurant has standard prices, and every cent is well spent. Keep it up!

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant. The food was average at best. What I was served as a "bread dumpling" was a kind of dough ball and defied description. The service also seemed overwhelmed and unmotivated, so the waitress couldn't even remember or assign simple, individual orders. The location in the center of town is beautiful, and there's also an area where you can sit outside. The ambiance inside is typical of a typical restaurant, with dark furniture and light tabletops.

Nice restaurant with a small beer garden. Attentive service and excellent Swabian/Bavarian cuisine. Reasonably priced lunch! And the best lentils with spaetzle in the entire city! Hot food served all day. Be sure to try the pretzel frozen shandy – delicious and very refreshing. We always enjoy eating here.

Regional cuisine with Swabian specialties and friendly staff. The interior is cozy and rustic, with a bit of a beer garden feel outside, and the somewhat hidden courtyard (almost an insider tip) offers a very cozy, quiet garden restaurant in the heart of the city.

The female server was incredibly unfriendly and rude. Ordered drinks never arrived, and we were immediately insulted while ordering, so much so that we didn't even want to ask questions. Questions were generally not answered or only answered rudely. Orders for alcoholic beverages, for people over 18, were sometimes refused, and orders were canceled without notice and only served after repeated inquiries at the counter. When distributing the food, there was also no response to our request for ketchup and mayo. This only happened after we asked another server, who brought the requested sauces in a friendly and timely manner. We felt unwelcome and couldn't enjoy our visit. If the server in question was present, we unfortunately cannot recommend such a visit.

It was okay. In the summer, you can eat outside and enjoy a beer. The food was also decent. Service was a bit lackluster. I ordered a beer, but initially received the wrong one. Then I had two beers and had to pay for both...

We had a great time and great food. Wirthaus zur Brezel is in the city centre, we tried the local food and weren't dissapointed. The lentils with sausage, pork and spätzle were great, the lentil was more to the sour side thou. The Maultaschen were splendid, probably the best potato salad I've ever had and onion sauce was the hero of the dish. Wießbier was good but the service were the main star - fast, friendly and helpful. Definitely will return back when in Ulm someday!

Wir sind spontan dem Tip nachgegangen und haben es nicht bereut! Nette Sitzmöglichkeiten, ruhige Ecke, sehr gutes Essen und sehr freundlicher Service. Der Hund wurde auch bestens platziert, der gesamte Abend war echt gelungen! Essen sehr, sehr gut! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

One of the best Käsespätzle I’ve had! Definitely recommend this place. The interior looks not so typical (because of the hotel maybe), but the food is great. There is no connection and WiFi inside.

As soon as we walked in, we were very impressed by the courteous and friendly welcome from the two ladies behind the counter. We were quickly asked about our drinks and food and the food didn't take long to arrive. We had the dish of the day (3 fried eggs, spinach and fried potatoes) and the pretzel cordon bleu. The food was great, you can taste that the kitchen is really fresh and home-cooked! Finally, we have to mention the great service; we had the pleasure of being served by Tobias that evening. :) We can definitely recommend the Wirtshaus zur Brezel and would come back at any time.

За это удовольствие 13,5 евро. Мы ведь приходим в ресторан за гастрономическим удовольствием. Было очень невкусно. Возможно, это особенности национальной кухни, но лучше пойти в итальянский или азиатский ресторан.

Actually, I shouldn't give a star at all. I was in the restaurant with my family on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at around 4:00 p.m. and the waitress said we could choose a seat. Unfortunately we were forgotten and ignored by the waitress, even though there was almost nothing going on, who preferred to drink cocktails with her two colleagues at the counter. Since we weren't noticed or served, we left. The service cannot be recommended.

We were greeted, we were also seen, but unfortunately we were not served. But the service with drinks at the bar had a nice afternoon. Not recommended!

Hello, we were at the "Pretzel Night" with the Dart Club yesterday at your restaurant. My conclusion: a lot of quantity and very little quality. I was really disappointed. I don't want to go into the details, but for me, that's just not enough for a pub. Sorry

The two of us went to Wirtshaus Brezel at short notice on a Wednesday evening without a reservation. We were served very quickly and we received our drinks very quickly, and the food also arrived very promptly. The food was very tasty and there was nothing to complain about.

Ate a super delicious cordon bleu. What was missing was a small side salad. I didn't notice that none was served with it. The price was a little higher so I thought the salad was included. It was definitely delicious and the service was super friendly too.

We were in Ulm on business and ate dinner at the Wirtshaus zur Brezel on four days. Everyone was very satisfied. The food is of very good quality and portion size, tastes great and is great value for money. If the path takes me to Ulm again, I will definitely come back here.
