I had dinner and ordered deer meat that was good but I expected a stronger flavor. The beer was great, and the ravioli soup was also delicious. The staff had a very pleasant and friendly attitude, which made the experience enjoyable overall.

A very cozy restaurant in the fishermen's quarter. We come here every year in winter and enjoy the traditional Swabian specialties. The vegetarian dishes are also highly recommended. You should also try the Pinot Gris white wine. It tastes excellent. The staff is very friendly and always has a smile. The restaurant is very clean. Reservations are definitely recommended.

A place in the historic center but very local We were lucky enough to stumble upon this pub for lunch in September. Very good traditional dishes at excellent prices. We sat at the large shared table with other guests and chatted with a very kind local man. 👍 I recommend it if you happen to be in Ulm.

A highly recommended inn and restaurant. The service deserves an extra star. I wanted to order tripe in a sour sauce, which I'd never tried before. A typical Swabian dish, you see. But before I was disappointed (not everyone likes tripe in a sour sauce), Roland, my waiter, offered me a sample from the kitchen. It was—just as I'd expected—exactly to my taste. Many thanks to Roland and the entire Schubert family team.

The retro building & setting really impressed me. Service was prompt and polite. We ordered the beef fillets in medium done. The meat was tasty & juicy, and what impressed me more was the fried onions as the beef topping, crispy & full of onion fragrance. However we mistaken the Allgau Snitzel with the Wiener Snitzel (this was want we original wanted) The Allgau Snitzel come with gravy and it has a slice of ham in between the pork and gave the extra dimension of taste. A diff way of savoring Snitzel from different. Overall very grateful to visit the restaurant on Germany Unity day. The street was less congested and shopping area was closed. A pleasant visit to Ulm.

Nice small location with the local cuisine.

It's a restaurant for groups—definitely not for two people. For couples, there are only small tables on the gallery, where every minute you're being waited on or people 5 to 10 cm away from you and your food are pushing past you. That's unacceptable. And here, a roast beef with onions that costs over €30 is supposed to taste good? Never again. Simply disastrous.

The food was very tasty, but unfortunately a bit too salty. The Maultaschen, however, were incredibly good. We also had to wait quite a while and didn't get our food at the same time. I don't usually like that, as I like to eat together when I go to a restaurant as a group. The ambiance was great, really authentic.

We were very satisfied with the service. The waitress was competent and friendly. We had reserved a table for seven people. When we mentioned upon arrival that one person was sick and another would be arriving later, it wasn't a problem. On the contrary, we were asked if we wanted to wait to order until everyone was there. That's what I call service. When the food for six people was served, it was handled by three restaurant employees. The food was truly excellent.

If you want to try Swabian cuisine, the Zunfthaus is the place to go! The restaurant is beautifully located in Ulm's Fishermen's Quarter and features authentic and cozy decor. The service is attentive and prompt, the selection of dishes is extensive, and the portions are truly impressive. The taste is simply dreamy – down-to-earth, fresh, and typically Swabian. Local specialties include lentils with spaetzle, Maultaschen (as a starter or main course), tripe, and much more. Anyone who loves regional cuisine should definitely stop by – and make a reservation in advance!

Expectations weren't met: the sausage salad was very sour due to the vinegar, the Tafelspitz was bland, but the Schlachtplatte was very good. I was surprised that guests were simply seated at the same table as other guests.

Every guest after us got 1h20min, and we just 1h. Funny huh?! Never again. The food was super oily like cheap restaurant, but the price wasn't 😂

What do you mean by spontaneously requesting a table? We got one right away. The food came extremely quickly. It took less than 10 minutes. It was delicious and highly recommended. It's a bit more expensive than other places, but aside from the location and the space, it's perfect. It's definitely worth a try; I would go again. I also saw the other dishes from the neighboring tables, and they all looked delicious.

It was a hot day and we had to adjust the umbrella ourselves but no one objected. The vegetarian options are limited but sounded good. I had the spinach spätzle. Would love to go back and try more.

A typical and very welcoming restaurant, serving traditional local dishes: you won't find anything international, just authentic cuisine and generous portions. The staff is friendly, although a bit rushed—probably due to the high number of customers—and sometimes requests get lost. The bill is average.

Nice surroundings, a mixed review from family of four’s meals. Daughter asked for still table water. Delivered sparking, told as we asked for table water that means sparkling, so was our fault it seemed. Sausage Salad - was Sausage and very little salad with a pool of water. Two handfuls of sliced poor quality ham. A bit like billy bear if you have eaten it. Strips of fish and salad was better, at least it had some salad. Two other meals were ok. One Waitress needs to increase awareness of surroundings. I waited at the steps in the entrance for a large family of children and elderly, the waitress pushed past me and made the family stop for her to exit. She then just stood outside.

You simply have to eat here! Delicious, home-style cooking at reasonable, but not overpriced prices. The staff is super friendly, professional, and efficient, plus the cozy atmosphere. We spent a wonderful, warm summer evening in the beer garden. Highly recommended!
