Very nice restaurant, the food is great. If I'm in Ulm again, I'll eat here again. I would recommend a table reservation.

We were at the Ulm Christmas market and had ordered a table online. The ordering system is exemplary with all the information you get. The evening was pure relaxation with delicious food that left nothing to be desired. Very friendly staff who never noticed that they had a lot to do. For us the perfect end to a short weekend break

Very cozy restaurant in the Fischerviertel. We are here every year in winter and enjoy the traditional and Swabian specialties. The vegetarian dishes are also highly recommended. You should also try the white wine Pinot Gris here. Tastes excellent. The staff is very friendly and always with a smile. The atmosphere is very clean. You should definitely make a reservation.

Food is delicious, i got mine after 5minutes! When asked about amazing speed, waitress just told me- that's Germany😉 place is packed, so get reservations👍 old baen type of look style, staff is great,. Be aware-menu is in German, but i used google photo translator, so all good

Incredibly high quality products and preparation, the meat was incredibly tasty. The service and employees that we saw and could judge were all very, very friendly, in a good mood and all in all a very well-kept condition from an "old" and cozy restaurant. It was an insider tip and I'm very happy to pass it on.

We had our Christmas party there today with a larger group. Big praise to the kitchen for the delicious food and, last but not least, big praise to the lovely, warm service. The girls and boys were really on their toes and looked after us really well. THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN FOR THIS 🥰 We'll definitely be back soon.

Food, service and ambience are very good. However, the prices are in regions that make coming back doubtful. Over €31 for an onion roast with spaetzle but without salad is a lot, even compared to the competition.

Brilliant...the ambience...even though we were early, we were welcomed and served in a very friendly manner...food was excellent, and upon request a small portion for me, and that was really a lot, I don't know how The normal portion is large, ...note: mine was baked zander strips on mixed salad with homemade remoulade sauce... and my husband had a crusty roast, I was allowed to try it, a dream for all meat lovers.. so tip/top 1A. Highly recommend this restaurant including dessert

We were visiting today on the holiday. The restaurant was very well received by the newcomers to Ulm. Ambience great, food very tasty with large portions. We were served very friendly. I suspect the direct, honest but still warm nature of the guests doesn't go down well with some more reserved people. But we found it just right for a rustic inn. We'd love to come back again

Was very satisfied! The local beer, like “Gold Ochsen”, is really good and is served fresh from the barrel. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, the staff was friendly and the service was quick. Even though it was well attended, everything went smoothly. I'd love to come back!

Even though the restaurant was completely full and because we had not made a reservation, the friendly employee still tried to offer us a table for 2 people. Really hospitable. Me and my wife had a really delicious meal here. Highly recommended

The food is brilliant, the service is attentive, fast and very friendly with good sayings! We had a very small “table for two” in the passage - behind it was a large room in which a group ate. The toilet was behind us and the group was in front of us - so there was a lot of through traffic.

Went to the restaurant for lunch at lunchtime! The food was great (my wife's spaetzle was too cold - they were warmed up again) My meal (with dumplings) was super delicious!! Service very friendly and competent - price/performance very good - I recommend it!

The two-story dining room is rustic, and when the weather was nice we were able to sit outside. The food is home-style and was delicious. We were with a group of about 10 people and as far as I can tell everyone was happy. When it came to drinks, I noticed the good regional beers and that there is Africola here! Since the restaurant is only a few steps from the Danube, you can also take a digestive walk!

The half-timbered house/inn has a nice atmosphere inside and out. The hospitality was very friendly, accommodating and open to every wish. The food was very very very tasty. We'll be back.

The best Swabian cuisine in Ulm!

We were lucky enough to get a small table without reservation. Our waiter was less than friendly and not at all interested in serving you. From the receptionist at the hotel we heard that other people had issues with this same waiter before. The food was really good, the setting very nice almost next to the Danube river. The waitresses were much friendlier. It's a shame for this place because this waiter guy kind of ruins your evening.

Cozy get-together outdoors for dinner and hanging out with a group of women. Super attentive, friendly service staff who are up for a joke. Excellent food, delicious, light summer beer. Highly recommended. The interior is also very comfortable and tastefully decorated.

Food probably delicious. Unfortunately it didn't happen because a waitress with red glasses doesn't like it when people smile at you. That's why we were refused a seat despite asking and having free tables. Very questionable and a shame!

Auf allen Tischen steht ein „Reserviert“ - Schild. Zufällig vorbeikommende Paare oder Gruppen finden sofort einen Platz und werden bedient. Ich als Sologast wurde des Platzes verwiesen.

En nuestro día de turismo por esta ciudad con mucho encanto me dejé aconsejar por la plataforma para ir al mejor restaurante de gastronomía alemana y local en horas de comida. Se ubica en un precioso barrio a orillas del río. El local es de estética tradicional y el personal bastante amable teniendo en cuenta el carácter de algunos alemanes. Servicio rápido en la comida aunque algo lento en el postre. Higiene correcta… Por lo que respecta a la comida, hay muchas opciones interesantes pero nos decantamos por dejarnos aconsejar por ellos, pues yo quería tomar comida típica. Todo estaba riquísimo. Las raciones son abundantes y no pudimos terminarlo todo. El postre que pedimos también estaba bastante bueno. A destacar: la pasta y el helado son caseros. Como aspecto de mejora he de decir que la mostaza me pareció muy fuerte, así como también el acompañamiento caliente de cereza con el que venía el postre. Las sillas, además, no son muy cómodas… Por todo lo demás, de 10.

Delicious food and very friendly service. In my opinion, value for money is definitely okay. I highly recommend the tripe with boiled potatoes; delicious. There was also a cellar beer on tap. FYI: Hot kitchen closes at 9 p.m. No parking spaces available directly at the restaurant.

Very rustic and cozy inn in the Fischerviertel right next to the Leaning House. Extensive menu with local specialties such as spinach spaetzle and delicious beer. 5 stars!

We saw this restaurant on our tour through Ulm, and once we looked up reviews, it had the best for the area so we decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. I had the chicken salad (daily menu) with banana chips. At first I thought it was an odd combination, but I am so glad I got it. Everything melded perfectly and it was really good. Hubs got the schnitzel and spaetzle, which he absolutely loved as well, especially the gravy. The square gets really busy with tourists as the building used to house the boats (learned from our tour) and in the square is a "boat statue". It is a beautiful area and sitting outside (besides it being extremely hot) was quite enjoyable.

We were in the outdoor catering area, not in the restaurant. It was okay, with a view of the Danube through an archway.

The service is provocative. Guests wait half an hour to order or pay, even though the restaurant is hardly busy. The waitress cannot be seen.
