Gaststuben im Zunfthaus der Schiffleute in Ulm

We were there on a Saturday at lunchtime, with a reservation. We were there 15 minutes early (because we were frozen), but it wasn't a problem. We had a nice seat on the gallery, the service was friendly, quick and attentive. We enjoyed the food. Good roast venison with freshly prepared dumplings and fine red cabbage with a good bite. The only criticism is that the actually nice leaf salad that my wife got with the good spinach dumplings was a bit drowned in dressing.

Fast service, excellent taste, nice atmosphere, a place that can be recommended

It was very enjoyable to eat in a 500-year-old restaurant. The interior is very authentic and beautiful. We ate two local beers, one potato salad and one portion of maultasche. The bill came to 27.00 Euros. It was very delicious and came quickly. The gentleman who took care of us was also very polite.

We sat at a comfortable table. The food was again very rich and good, the service was very attentive. We'd love to come back!

Food was OK. Unfortunately there was an allergic reaction. Comments were also ignored and glass on the floor was not cleared away. Toilets weren't clean. Overall it was okay, but we expected more.

We were there on a Friday evening. The inn was full but still cozy. The furnishings and feeling in the guild house are simply beautiful! The service is also top notch! Our waitress was very polite, responded to special requests (gluten-free, other side dishes, etc.) and was always attentive. Unfortunately I have to deduct one star for the food. The Allgäuer Schnitzel (breaded) was drowned in sauce - but of course it still tasted delicious! But maybe. you could serve the sauce in a separate bowl on the plate (it would look nicer then ;)) Unfortunately, most main courses don't come with a salad. You can order the small salad for 7.50 euros. However, this is just a side salad and the price is in no way reasonable. All in all, good 4 stars and recommended!

We were at the guild house for the first time for the end-of-year dinner. Everything was perfect! From the ambience, to the service, the incredibly friendly staff and the great food. We'll definitely be back.

It has exceeded all expectations. We ordered the goose with apple, cranberries, potatoes and roast beef glazed chestnut, and it was all very good. 100% recommended

The dishes were extremely excellent, but the amount of vinegar in the lentils, potato salad and sausage salad was not appropriate; all three could have used more. The Maultaschen were very soft and didn't have much consistency or taste. The dessert, see picture, the spaetzle and side sausages were very tasty. It's definitely a pleasant place to eat and drink.

A restaurant with a unique atmosphere. We ate very well. The dining room was full to the last seat, but the service was still relaxed and friendly, with no long waiting times.

Nice, rustic restaurant with Swabian food. I had a delicious Maultaschen soup and a mega onion roast. My wife had chestnut soup and porcini mushroom ravioli with truffle butter and Grana Padano. Great food, fair prices and great service. Despite reservations, we only got a small seat directly in the passage. But that was ok and didn't take away from the enjoyment!!

We had a wonderful Christmas Day in the guild house. The food was excellent, from the goose leg with dumplings, red cabbage, chestnuts to duck or porcini mushroom ravioli with truffle butter. Top quality and price-performance ratio! The lady in service who was responsible for us should also be highlighted; it is rare to receive such friendly, attentive and loving service. The rest of the staff also deserve high praise!

We were there with a group, 30 young people. You have to be a little quieter there, not a place for loud beer hooting, but otherwise absolutely great. The food was excellent, the service was friendly (even organized a spontaneous happy birthday), and the location was simply great. Despite the well-known name, it's not a tourist rip-off at all, but well done and definitely worth a visit.

We were in the restaurant with 4 people and a dog, we were greeted very nicely. The conditions were accommodating and recommended the day menu. We chose our food and were very excited about what we ordered. The food came a short time later and was of top quality, large portions, and tasted excellent. Service always very attentive. Wir waren zu unserem Jahrestag in Ulm und im Zunfthaus zu Gast. Zusammengefasst kann ich sagen, dass diese Gaststube zu Recht die Nummer eins auf Tripadvisor ist. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und unaufdringlich aufmerksam, das Essen und die Getränke waren sehr, sehr lecker. Die Soßen waren unglaublich gut. Wir hatten als Vorspeise Maronensuppe mit Jakobsmuschel, Allgäuer Schnitzel mit Spätzle und Soße, Paniertes Schnitzel mit Pommes, gemischten Salat und als Nachspeise einen Schokoladenkuchen mit Eis. Es war ausnahmslos gut. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Ulm gehen wir wieder hin.

Wir haben bereits einen Monat vorher reserviert. Und es hat sich einfach nur gelohnt. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Wir hatten auf der Estrade einen zweier Tisch. Das Restaurant war auf den letzten Platz besetzt, und trotzdem hatten wir die volle Aufmerksamkeit unserer Kellnerin. Das Essen war einfach nur Top. Wer gerne fein isst und sich wohlfühlt, für dem können wir das Restaurant nur weiter empfehlen. Preis Leistung stimmt voll und ganz. Wir kommen wieder.

We were at the Ulm Christmas market and had ordered a table online. The ordering system is exemplary with all the information you get. The evening was pure relaxation with delicious food that left nothing to be desired. Very friendly staff who never noticed that they had a lot to do. For us the perfect end to a short weekend break

Very cozy restaurant in the Fischerviertel. We are here every year in winter and enjoy the traditional and Swabian specialties. The vegetarian dishes are also highly recommended. You should also try the white wine Pinot Gris here. Tastes excellent. The staff is very friendly and always with a smile. The atmosphere is very clean. You should definitely make a reservation.

Food is delicious, i got mine after 5minutes! When asked about amazing speed, waitress just told me- that's Germany😉 place is packed, so get reservations👍 old baen type of look style, staff is great,. Be aware-menu is in German, but i used google photo translator, so all good

Incredibly high quality products and preparation, the meat was incredibly tasty. The service and employees that we saw and could judge were all very, very friendly, in a good mood and all in all a very well-kept condition from an "old" and cozy restaurant. It was an insider tip and I'm very happy to pass it on.

Brilliant...the ambience...even though we were early, we were welcomed and served in a very friendly manner...food was excellent, and upon request a small portion for me, and that was really a lot, I don't know how The normal portion is large, ...note: mine was baked zander strips on mixed salad with homemade remoulade sauce... and my husband had a crusty roast, I was allowed to try it, a dream for all meat lovers.. so tip/top 1A. Highly recommend this restaurant including dessert

We had our Christmas party there today with a larger group. Big praise to the kitchen for the delicious food and, last but not least, big praise to the lovely, warm service. The girls and boys were really on their toes and looked after us really well. THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN FOR THIS 🥰 We'll definitely be back soon.

Food, service and ambience are very good. However, the prices are in regions that make coming back doubtful. Over €31 for an onion roast with spaetzle but without salad is a lot, even compared to the competition.

We were visiting today on the holiday. The restaurant was very well received by the newcomers to Ulm. Ambience great, food very tasty with large portions. We were served very friendly. I suspect the direct, honest but still warm nature of the guests doesn't go down well with some more reserved people. But we found it just right for a rustic inn. We'd love to come back again

Even though the restaurant was completely full and because we had not made a reservation, the friendly employee still tried to offer us a table for 2 people. Really hospitable. Me and my wife had a really delicious meal here. Highly recommended

The food is brilliant, the service is attentive, fast and very friendly with good sayings! We had a very small “table for two” in the passage - behind it was a large room in which a group ate. The toilet was behind us and the group was in front of us - so there was a lot of through traffic.
