We ate and drank well, but it's a pity that there were annoying wasps that also thought it was a nice place to eat and drink.

Attention parents with small children - mobile children are a nuisance! Delicious food, great ambience, nice waiters - that's why this was our choice every time we visited the city! But now our child is mobile, wants to run and explore the world. Even though the child was walking at my side, the waiter pointed out to us during a single walk through the restaurant that the child was not allowed to walk here! He made it very clear to us that he works here, that mobile children are a nuisance and that friendliness is not to be expected from him! Instead of such an announcement, perhaps another seat at the back or in the beer garden would have helped... What a shame! We left and are now looking for a new favorite restaurant in Darmstadt.

Very good and rich food. Price-performance ratio fits

Have been here several times and the restaurant always impresses with its great price-performance ratio. We were given a place outside, even though everything was very well occupied. Our son also got the fries in advance, which made our meal easier afterwards. In addition, the service is simply unbeatable, not only totally friendly but also quick. Gladly again!

We are currently on vacation and saw this restaurant. It looked cozy and we were happy to get a spot without registering. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Some service providers could do something for themselves. The food was simply good in terms of appearance and taste. Thank you for a nice end to the day. They are highly recommended.

I had a good meal there I had a straight bill and didn't give a tip. As a result, no greeting was returned when I said goodbye. There can be no question of being friendly there.☹️

Great brewery. Rustic atmosphere, with the best beer in Darmstadt and the surrounding area, good menu with delicious dishes. We like to come here on Saturday lunchtime (it's good in front of the stadium, for example) because the lunch menu is a great deal. There is always a schnitzel variation (alternatively a vegetarian dish) plus espresso for under €10. The service is always quick and friendly. Also suitable for larger groups. Reservations can be made online, work perfectly and are confirmed very quickly.

Good home-style German cuisine with a Bavarian touch, simply delicious. Table reservation is advisable as it is also busy during the week.

The restaurant design exudes a real feel-good character. There is also delicious food and even tastier beer, complemented by attentive staff. My only criticism is that the side dishes are a bit small. There could easily have been one more potato on the plate

Liver soup was delicious Main course rump steak with wild garlic and mushrooms was very tasty/meat was butter tender Salad was tasteless, no salad dressing and only lettuce leaves were served / plate too small / no space to cut the large leaves.

The food is very tasty and so is the beer. The prices are very good and the staff is friendly. I go here at least once a month and it's always a treat for me. I'm already looking forward to my next visit :)

We've been going there for 8 years but this time it was our last time! The side dishes were lukewarm, prices were increased again and the side salad was deleted (for the cooked cheese Cordon Bleu - €18.50!). Already the 4th time, a third of the Cordon Bleus (thickest piece) was not through. It was dubbed “the stain of the ham” and when it was presented at our table, people picked at the meat. No refund/no compensation! Unfortunately it's not child-friendly there either

Unfortunately our meal this time was disappointing. The spare rib was too dry and stuck to the bone. The marinade was already dry. The beer minced steak had too large pieces of onion in it and the portion of the bun was too much.

I had now started the second attempt and thought I would give them a chance. Unfortunately, I can't understand the good reviews regarding the food. If you don't like deep fried foods but want large portions, this is the place for you. I had a PNP schnitzel (breading/nix/breading) and the breading was of poor quality, the schnitzel was very lightly fried, but rather greasy and slightly crunchy. The fries looked good. They were brown on the outside and still half raw on the inside. The salad was tasty, but half of it was brown. The espresso we received as an apology was lukewarm. There were three of us eating and we all had the same impression. The smell in the place was also a bit strange. The waiters were friendly.

Wir haben ein Restaurant in der Nähe des Staatstheaters Darmstadt gesucht und gefunden. Unser Essen war sehr geschmackvoll. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und bedient. Die Zeit bis zum Beginn der Musicalaufführung mit Essen und Getränken im City Braustüb’l haben wir sehr positiv empfunden. Das Team war sehr nett. Wir würden dort wieder einkehren und empfehlen dieses Lokal auf jeden Fall weiter.

Mein Mann und ich waren heute mit unserer 11 Monate alten Tochter zum Mittagessen dort. Unsere Tochter ist ein wenig dort auf dem Boden rumgegrabbelt. Aufeinmal wurden wir von den Chef des Ladens sehr unhöflich aufgefordert unsere Tochter hier wegzunehmen. Der Ton macht die Musik. Die Kellner dort waren allerdings alle sehr zuvorkommend und höflich.

It was my first time in the Braustüb'l, nice shop and nice service. But what I was overwhelmed with was the black sauce for the beef. Unfortunately, that wasn't my case at all. For me, neither the consistency nor the color has anything to do with beer sauce.

We were there spontaneously. At this point the restaurant was full and the service was therefore understandably disruptive. The food was delicious and we enjoyed spending our time there. We decided to order beer again and then wanted to pay. However, one of our colleagues was not feeling well and asked us to cancel the drinks. the person asked the waiter for it and later the manager of this restaurant possibly came. As described in another review, he then angrily told us that something like that was absolutely unacceptable. Since then, apart from temporary workers, we have only been treated badly. We are very sorry that we had to make an extra request in such a stressful situation and we completely understand how frustrating this can be, even though the situation is very stressful. But to bully customers and make them feel ashamed and bad? In a place where the customer should feel comfortable...? Very unfortunate. The food is delicious, but the presumed owner (unfortunately I'm not sure) is tripping himself up and scaring away some visitors. Such experiences are passed on very quickly and this can greatly damage the reputation of this store. I would like to come back, but unfortunately it feels a bit uncomfortable to go in there. For everyone else who at least has no special wishes or concerns, I can still recommend this restaurant!

Very tasty food! Food came after just a 10 minute wait. One star deducted because of the seating. Otherwise absolutely recommended.

Warm and welcoming environment, the staff is friendly. The food is excellent, the menu is made up of really good typical dishes. The price is right, just over 20 euros per person including beer.

Das Essen war früher viel besser. Service aber top. Sehr freundliche Bedienung.

1. Weihnachtsfeiertag essen mit der Familie. Es war sehr gut besucht. Bedienung zügig und schnell. Leider wurde eine Bestellung vergessen, nach Rücksprache noch zubereitet.

Wir gehen gerne zum Mittagstisch ins Braustübl. Ein Mittagessen, z.B. Schnitzel mit Pommes und danach noch ein Espresso für 9,- EUR - super! Die Bedienung ist nett und freundlich, die Kundschaft etwas betagter und somit eher ein ruhiger Platz zum Essen. Das Bier schmeckt, ich bin selbst auch Mitglied der Braustüb'l Freundesclubs. Empfehlung!

Super nette Bedienung verhalf unserer kleinen Gruppe zu einem gemütlichen kleinen Tisch - den sonst vielleich keiner wollte - aber uns hat es Spaß gemacht auch mal 'besonders' zu sitzen.

Essen war sehr gut, Bedienung auch super, hst sehr gut geklappt. Nur die Heizung war ziemlich auf sparflamme gestellt und wir waren alle durchgefroren, sonst wsrs super.

Uns hat es nicht geschmeckt. Wir werden das Lokal nicht mehr besuchen.

Essen war gut, hatte das Brauereisteak gegessen und es war gut. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und flott auf den Beinen, daß Ambiente des Lokals ist allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen

It's an ok place, but there are better ones around. I ordered a Flammkuchen, but for some reason they put cheese on top instead of the more typical topping. This made it less enjoyable.

Schöner Laden, freundliches Personal und sehr leckeres Essen!

Waren hier an Weihnachten und waren sehr enttäuscht. Unser reservierter Tisch stand direkt neben den Toiletten, die nur durch einen Vorhang abgetrennt sind. Bereits bei der Ankunft konnte man die Toiletten riechen. Sehr unappetitlich beim Essen, wären am liebsten direkt wieder gegangen! Die Feiertagskarte war sehr fleischlastig, sodass ich gezwungen war einen mickrigen grünen Salat mit zerpflücktem gebackenem Feta zu essen. Das Schnitzel war zäh und sehnig und die Soße des Schweinebratens ungenießbar. Die bestellte Cola Light war irgendetwas Gepanschtes, aber keine Cola Light. Lieblichen Wein gab es auch keinen, uns wurde nicht einmal eine Getränkekarte ausgehändigt. Das einzig Positive war der Service, die Bedienung war durchweg sehr nett. Was aber leider auch der einzige Pluspunkt war... Hier werden wir definitiv nicht mehr hingehen.

Wie bekamen auch spontan einen Tisch für 2. Kellnerin war super, kannte sich aus, war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen Haxe und Braten war sehr lecker. Ambiente war Brauhaus typisch. Wir habe n uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Leckeres Essen in entspannter Atmosphäre. Leider waren wir heute alle etwas enttäuscht. Schnitzel wären etwas zu lange gebraten und dadurch etwas hart. Das war sonst besser

For Indian Vegetarian, this place has good options. Must try veg snitzel with potato salad. It is good. They have speciality in drinks. Good place to hang out.

So ziemlich mein Lieblingsrestaurant in Darmstadt. Das Essen ist durchweg von gleichbleibend guter Qualität. Der Service ist super und das Ambiente schön urig, im Sommer auch mit nettem Außenbereich. Achso und leckeres Bier in vielen Variationen gibt es natürlich auch.

Gute deutsche Küche. Schönes Restaurant mitten in Darmstadt. Hier kann ich gut entspannen und habe oft gute Gespräche mit anderen Gästen.

This is a rare experience. Food quality is exemplary, flavours are mouth watering and the menu very wide and varied for all tastes and requirements. Stunning local sourced ingredients and beautiful weiss beer (the HELL is great!). Had the beef stew with freshly made dumplings and deep gravy sauce of red wine, onions and seasoning. Desert was a very light but flavour packed apple strudel with delicate vanilla ice cream - not a cheap ice cream either. Absolutely brilliant place and great atmosphere. Great location to walk too and superb for work related evening meals out etc.

Bester Mittagstisch den ich kenne

Mein Besuch im City Braustüb‘l hat damit geendet, dass ich meinen Kollegen beim Essen zu geschaut habe. Der Chef hat - laut Aussage der Bedienung - die veganen Gemüsepuffer von der Karte zu entfernt und sie werden nicht mehr angeboten. Der Service war gut - auch wenn ich mich es unangenehm fand, dass die Bedienung fragte, ob Alle das haben was sie wollen und mich dabei anschaute. Mein Getränk war okay.

Wir waren sehr oft hier essen und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Doch am vergangenen Samstag war das jedoch unser letzter Besuch! Wir haben Ramazotti und Baileys bestellt. Beides war nicht gut und somit haben wir angezweifelt, dass das originale Produkte sind. Diese Spirituosen waren sehr wässerig und die Farbe entsprach nicht einem authentischen Ramazotti/Baileys. Kurz darauf kam der Restaurantleiter zu unserem Tisch, schreite uns an und sagte wir seien unverschämt sowas zu unterstellen. Er war äußerst aggressiv und wurde ziemlich laut sodass plötzliche Stille herrschte. Er hat uns weder zugehört noch hat er sich für irgendetwas entschuldigt. Sein Verhalten war absolut unangemessen und unprofessionell ! Nach diesem Vorfall wurde die Bedienung auch immer unsympathischer. Das Verhalten spricht für sich!!! Sehr Schade…

Nachdem wir ein Getränk bezüglich der Qualität reklamiert hatten, kam der Manager (vermutlich war er das) und hat uns angeschrien sodass das ganze Lokal darauf aufmerksam wurde. Ein richtig schlechtes Benehmen und unprofessionelles Verhalten von diesem "Manager". Von weiteren Besuchen ist dringend abzuraten. Nie wieder City Braustübl.

Essen: Der Schweinebraten in dunkler Biersauce, Knödel und Krautsalat ist ein Gedicht 😋👌 Das Bier - egal ob dunkel oder hell - sehr schmackhaft! 🍻 Service: Sehr aufmerksam, schnell, sehr nett und bemüht. Ambiente: Genau so stelle ich mir ein Braustübl vor. Gemütlich und urig. Fazit: Sehr empfehlenswert! 👍

Hier gibt's Kaaspressknödelsuppe! Lecker! Spontan eingekehrt und lecker gegessen und ein alkoholfreies Bierchen getrunken. Bedienung wirkte etwas unbeholfen aber war nett. Ambiente im Lokal ist angenehm. Toiletten etwas zu rustikal und Türen nicht ganz intakt.

Leckeres Essen, leckeres Bier, nettes Personal und schöne Location. Preise sind auch sehr verhältnismäßig!

Teuerstes Bier in Darmstadt und dann wird noch unterfüllt. Wird systematisch nicht voll gemacht. Finde ich geizig af und macht einfach einen schlechten Eindruck.

Bester Kochkäs in DA! Richtig tolles Brot und zuvorkommende Kellner, die etwas von ihrem Handwerk verstehen, vom Bier ganz zu schweigen. Herrlich!

+ Das Bier war sehr lecker. - Die Käsespätzle haben im Vergleich zu früher stark nachgelassen, dafür sind sie teurer geworden. - Der Oberkellner war sehr unfreundlich und hat uns am Ende 1€ mehr abgebucht als vereinbart (trotz ca. 10% Trinkgeld). Bin seit Jahren Stammkunde. Das wird sich nun ändern.

Seemed nice place and service. Beer great, food was so so, was looking for famous German traditional food. Krautsalat - bit too watery. Kochkase snack - bread was very hard, but with beer okey. Bier-Hacksteak, not my 'favorite' for sure, potatoes were nice though. Found strange that there was some sort of insect trap under the table. Any mice in the house? Place seems to be let down, maybe will be great in the future.

Käsespätzle kann ich nicht empfehlen. Das andere essen scheint gut geschmeckt zu haben.

So meine Lieben, bin leider gezwungen mich negativ zu äußern, da gibts auch kein wenn und aber. Folgendes Szenario. Ich habe ein Bier getrunken, preis 4,95€. Wurde nett bedient; mein Kollege kam an den Tisch, der mich nur abholen wollte und nichts getrunken hat, aaaaber! Der Kellner wie er sich schimpft, der mich nicht bedient hat, kam mich abkassieren, nachdem ich drei mal darum gebeten habe. Er kam auf mich zu, ich hatte nur einen 50€ Schein. Er zu mir, „hast du es nicht kleiner?“ Ich „nein tut mir leid“. Seine Antwort, „ja tut dir leid“, gibt mir 45€ Rückgeld dreht sich um und geht. Ich bin gerne dorthin gegangen aber das geht einfach nicht. Der Laden war voll, verstehe ich. Aber das war von Anfang an Konfrontation. Habe den Laden für Mich abgeschlossen. Schade. Aber so nicht.

Wir waren jetzt das 2 te mal dort ,und meine Lenden war zäh der Rest verkocht und auch noch lauwarm. Der Service ist gut ,das Personal ist Nett. Die Damen Toiletten sind eine reine Zumutung,eng und Renovierungsbedürftig die Türen kann man nicht abschließen. Preisleistungs Verhältnis echt übertrieben. Für das was wir bezahlt haben müsste das Essen wenigstens heiß sein . Ich habe vor Ort nichts gesagt da ich es versprochen habe ,mich nicht zu beschweren.

Wir haben in der City Braustüb'l während der Mittagspause das Tagesgericht bestellt und ein großartiges Schnitzel bekommen. Um das Erlebnis abzurunden hätte man sich vielleicht noch einen kleinen Salat dazu gewünscht. Jedoch gab es zur Mittagskarte einen Espresso auf's Haus, sodass man dem Ganzen durchaus volle Punktzahl geben kann. Tolle Atmosphäre, besonders im ruhigen Innenhof! Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, so hat man sich sofort wilkommen und wohl gefühlt.

Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Essen war sehr gut. Gerne wieder.
