The interior is air conditioned.

It was a very nice evening in a really great restaurant. The traffic situation is favorable and there are more or less sufficient parking spaces available. If possible, I would recommend a taxi, as the restaurant is always busy and offers well over 100 seats. And in summer there is also a very large beer garden. So at full capacity, things can get tricky. The service and the kitchen are obviously battle-tested, because everything went quickly and still looked appealing. In terms of taste, I can only send high praise to the kitchen. Personally, I really liked the sinat pralines as a starter, although the beetroot was also tasty. However, you have to be allowed to have a favorite... As far as the choice of food is concerned, there is a wide range from good home-style to German-style, with something for everyone. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free are noted on the menu and, what I think is great, the local suppliers are shown. I really liked the concept. The rooms are bright, clean and recently renovated. The toilets also make a decent impression, which usually indicates a decent kitchen. In summary, I would definitely recommend a visit and it is best to make a reservation in advance. Went to the Gugelhupf inn for dinner for the first time. The ambience inside and outside is very nice and inviting. The food is freshly prepared and of very good quality. In terms of taste, it was a delight. I would like to emphasize the very friendly and courteous service. No matter who served us. The waitress always asked whether we needed anything else and whether we were satisfied. As a guest at the Gugelhupf Wirtshaus you feel very well looked after!

I would like to lodge my complaint about my recent visit to this restaurant. Unfortunately the service was very unfriendly from the start. The lady (Ana) who served us looked at us with a long face. When we received the food we discovered that it was not cooked thoroughly. However, we decided not to say anything. While paying, the guys in our group made some jokes in our own language (Romanian) which had nothing to do with the service but were just internal jokes for us. However, the waitress misunderstood what was said and reacted very aggressively. She directly asked our names and threatened us that we would never be allowed to come to the restaurant again. She did not attempt to interact with us in a friendly manner to understand or defuse the situation. When we asked for the manager she continued to be condescending and we had to insist in order to speak to him. Unfortunately, the manager was also unable to resolve the situation to our satisfaction, even when he attempted to bring the waitress to our table to resolve the conversation. Overall we were very disappointed with this experience. We expected to have a pleasant evening in your restaurant, but the behavior of the waitress and the lack of support from management completely prevented this. Edit with answer: The staff should limit themselves to the languages ​​they know and not other languages ​​where they do not understand the connotations, especially since we only addressed the staff in German at this restaurant. I find the management's response very disappointing, especially when it comes to discriminatory behavior that was evident from the beginning. The disappointment also remains because the management did not listen to the customers' opinions from the start and acted with a preconceived opinion. Your answer continues to show little professionalism and reinforces behavior that should not be the case towards foreigners in Germany today.

Guglhupf stands for: easy to reach, good food, perfect service and it's very pleasant to sit, both inside and in the beer garden. Always worth a trip for us.

Never been treated so badly in a restaurant! I asked and the person who treats the guests so badly is the “head” of service. I wonder how someone like that can allow himself to do that! Very poor performance for Egelsbach where there is such good service in town.

Great atmosphere and delicious food

Friendliness is not their quality. They "allowed" us a reservation only for 1h, and when we arrived all the tables were empty, and continued to be, for the next 2h there. Food: Undercooked schnitzel, undercooked liver. Our "dinning attendant" was not so interested in helping, serving and taking care of our table, and always assigning tasks to other trainees there. Ordering food was terrible, making fun of the words pronunciation in german, when german is not the mother tongue. When I had to pay I didn't left any "trink geld" due to the above mentioned reasons, and she started to make a scene that we don't come anymore there.. very funny.. we asked the manager to come. Nothing was settled. We had issues also with the languages, as not all of us speak german, so speaking a different language than german in their restaurant is not recommended, as advised by the manager. I recommend that the manager and server goes to a customer service training and language training. Include, under their badge name on the chest, the languages they speak. You visit a restaurant to enjoy and have a nice evening, but not the case here.. they forgot that the client needs to be welcomed with a smile on the face and needs to placed on the #1 spot until is leaving the restaurant. Not going there soon.. :) never say never.

Highly recommended, regional dishes, very tasty and varied. Nice service, whether inside or outside, you can sit well everywhere. There are enough parking spaces available. We were very satisfied and would like to come back.

Our first visit after the renovation, as it is not possible with a dog. Had a lovely evening with delicious food. Great praise that the meat comes from good, regional sources. You should see it more often.

We eat with two small children. The waitress brought the food so that the children ate first so we could enjoy our warm steak. Kudos for that. The two rump steaks were fried to perfection as ordered medium/rare and medium. The vegetables on the side were fresh and delicious. We'd love to come back.

Great ambience, super friendly service, but once again the food didn't live up to expectations in any way. For us, the restaurant was once part of upscale gastronomy. The times are over. In terms of quality, the Gugelhupf can now be placed in the chip shop category. The starter salads were delicious. But the rump steak, cooked sour vide and then panned over high heat, was cold. The vegetables were mushy, the fried potatoes were mushy, still okay, the completely burnt ones were discarded. The Jägerschnitzel also arrived cold, the hot but watery, tasteless sauce warmed it up a little. The sauce couldn't hide the fact that it was apparently a finished product that had been baked in the deep fryer, it was tasteless cardboard. At least the sauce was made with fresh mushrooms. Maybe we'll visit the Gugelhupf for a cold beer after a hot summer day, because it's nice there. But we definitely won't eat here again.

The service was super accommodating, attentive, fast and incredibly friendly and gracious (despite the house being full AND two medium-sized parties at the same time!). The food was absolutely excellently prepared, the courses were not served too close together but not too long in a row either. The ambience is cozy and modern at the same time, inviting you to linger for a longer period of time. All in all excellent!

Stopped here for lunch in the afternoon. The restaurant is located on a busy main road (noisy background) and the beer garden is right next to the parking lot with plenty of shade. The service was attentive and not unfriendly. Large portions, quite reasonable for the price. The food was well-crafted, just a little under-seasoned. But salt and pepper were on the table. The salad was very fresh and the dressing was delicious. What we like... that there is always hot food and that we can eat warm food at lunch time.

FOOD POISONING!!! We ate there with our children on Sunday. We have already complained several times on site about the rump steak we ordered. The taste is just incredibly bad. After I left half of the rump steak left, it would have been more than appropriate if the chef had come straight to the table and asked why half was left behind at such high prices! Unfortunately my wife also tried this rump steak with fatal consequences. That same evening I went to visit a friend and had to go to the toilet four times within 30 minutes. After I just wanted to go home because I was struggling with sweats and diarrhea, I collapsed in front of my car. Afterwards my friend had to drive me home because I was no longer capable of anything. During the same period, my wife had to vomit several times, which made it an indescribably great night in a negative sense. The next morning around 11:40 a.m. I tried to reach the owner myself. They didn't want to give this to me. Instead, I was connected to the chef, Mr. E., who immediately knew what it was about. I quote his statement: "Of course I heard about the rump steak that was complained about and of course I looked into it and admit that it didn't taste good and that's why we threw it away afterwards. But it wasn't bad." You have made a fool of yourself with your statement made. I'm sorry, but making the guest pay the bill in full after such a statement is questionable and shows a very weak character! It's not about the money, it's just about the principle! For the future, I wish you the decency to go directly to the customer. The only thing I don't deny them is the quality of their schnitzels. Luckily, our two boys didn't try any rump steak and were therefore left unscathed. As much as we praised your restaurant to heaven on our first visit, our conclusion is now negative! Catastrophic rump steak, catastrophic communication, let alone customer-oriented action!
