Iconic and cozy restaurant. Divided into several guest rooms and a cozy hallway. Delicious and hearty cuisine at reasonable prices. We were served very nicely and had a lovely evening. THANK YOU👍

Good beer but disgusting service!! The beer selection at this place was impressive, with 40 taps and a lot of bottled options. However, the quality of service we experienced was simply very bad. After ordering a beer and a dessert (biermisu) while laughing and playing, my pregnant wife and I were abruptly told to leave our table within 20 minutes of sitting down. One of the staff members approached us, rudely informing my wife that she HAD TO order a drink, or we couldn’t stay. We fully understood that space might be limited, so I tried to offer to move to the bar to free up the table. Shockingly, they wouldn’t even listen to us. My attempt to express my discomfort and suggest a compromise was interrupted with a short of justification and a curt command to “pay, leave, and do not bother me more.” It was clear that their priority was to maximize profit, not customer experience. But there are far more polite and considerate ways to manage these situations, especially when dealing with paying customers. This behavior was disrespectful, out of line, and left us feeling totally unwelcome. First time that this happened to us. Disgusting and totally nonsense.

I have loved the steam beer brewery since my first visit almost 30 years ago. The service was great - as usual. What was annoying was that there were no more pork knuckles or associated dishes. It's doubly annoying when you plan your weekend around it and travel 80 km. The pulled burger ordered as an alternative was certainly poor in quality. However, I liked it. Then I noticed that I needed a meat cake. From a purely culinary point of view, it was rather “so-so” for me. Sure - pork knuckles are a must; But I could remember at that moment that this was the third time. Maybe You can also order 2 more pieces on the weekend. ;-)

We are known by the entire staff and the top chef DITI as the Bamberg “steak eaters”😄 We have already celebrated birthdays there and always enjoy coming back to Schwarz 🦅 Diti makes the BEST STEAKS around. On Saturday we enjoyed his fantastic steaks again, the staff were very nice, even though they were busy. Keep it up 👍👍👍

The food is good and the beer too. However, I don't think it's a good idea to completely forego service and rely entirely on self-service. This sometimes results in very long queues for drinks and long waiting times for food. When you look at the prices it's hard to understand.

Normally we always loved this place. But after the service today, I don't know if we will come again. The restaurant was relatively full, but the sign on the door said 'free seating'. We then accidentally sat at a reserved table (it was really hard to see from the wooden stand - you might want to rethink that. There were people sitting there again after us.) then we went to the neighboring table, which was already empty, but still had the two empty glasses on it. After all, there was a lot going on, so it wasn't a problem for us to wait. The waitress then asked us why we were sitting at a table that still had the dishes on it and who gave us the drink tickets (which were lying on the railing next to it). And in a very unfriendly way, because “there are 10 tables free on the other side of the restaurant”. When we asked what the problem was, he then asked whether we would also sit at a dirty table at home. (Unfortunately I still don't understand what the problem is...) He then said, "I would like to just let you sit here for an hour and not serve you, because you don't do that. But today I'm in a good mood, so you can have something." ...I've really never experienced anything like that!!! Unfortunately, I lost my hunger, even though I was really looking forward to the restaurant and the food. After he brought us the drinks, he didn't even look at us again. He didn't even come to pay, even though we sat right in front of the kitchen with empty glasses for almost 30 minutes, so we had no choice but to put money on the table. It was truly a shame the way he treated us. I work regularly in service myself and know that it is not an easy job and that there are really difficult customers. But such behavior as a waitress is absolutely unacceptable. Since I always found it nice here, I got a 2-star rating. I would like to give 0 stars for this service! To the Air-Bräu: Please assign the tables or put up a sign stating that tables that have not yet been cleaned may not be occupied. I really don't want you to lose any more customers as a result. You don't even experience something like that in an underground restaurant...
