We had our Christmas party here...it was great lol...the food was delicious...Manuela from the service team took excellent care of us...she's worth 5 stars...unfortunately it was very noisy because there were so many guests...but we'd love to come back again.

We recently visited the Hacklberger Bräustüberl and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The food was excellent – ​​we each ordered a starter, main course, and dessert, which were not only delicious but also beautifully presented and more than ample. Our dog was also warmly welcomed and received a friendly greeting. We particularly remember the attentive service, the fantastic food, and the pleasant atmosphere. We are already looking forward to our next visit and are curious to see what the Bräustüberl will look like after the renovation.

Perfect beer garden weather today, very friendly welcome, you get a seat without any stress, when ordering it was pointed out that it might take a while today, but after 10 minutes the food arrived, it was simply very well made and the price-performance ratio is fair and inexpensive, can only be warmly recommended, this was our second visit today and it is simply very good, absolutely friendly top gastronomy and the service is just very warm and friendly

The pumpkin risotto wasn't a "sloppy" risotto, but rather a very dry, solid portion of rice with chunks of pumpkin. I pointed this out to the waitress.

A very rustic brewery. The house beer, Urhell, is also available non-alcoholic, so you'll still be fit to drive after drinking it. We recommend the Hacklberger Reindl (a kind of beer) and the bread dumpling with mushrooms. Both were excellent! There's plenty of parking right next to the building.

Good food, reasonable prices, great beer garden

This was our first time there; the outside area was okay, nothing special. The beer garden wasn't open. The interior is traditional, modern, and upscale, which I rate as 10/10. The food was delicious, the beer drinkable, although I found the price too high for its location right next to the brewery (example: Augustiner Munich Brewery). I had the schnitzel, which was offered with cranberries on the menu. However, I was then brought ketchup, and when I asked, they only brought cranberries, which were charged extra. That's unacceptable. Addendum on the beer garden: It was open. The beer garden isn't particularly nice or inviting. The "sweets" shop was closed (it was a nice Saturday in September). Drinks are brought out, and you have to get your own food. So, of course, you end up tipping much more in the long run. The chicken was awful, the pretzels too, and way too expensive. The one that was pulled out was also awful. Overall, the food was a 0/10 at these prices. This was definitely the last time.

We celebrated our wedding at Hacklberger and were thrilled with Daniel and his team from the very beginning – uncomplicated but highly professional preparation and fantastic service.

A Bavarian beer garden under shady trees is a great place to relax. A buffet with typical delicacies. Friendly service that doesn't lose its composure amidst the hustle and bustle. Additional stands include the Alm cheese stall and, above all, the wonderful Hacklbräu beer in various varieties. Ample parking. A dignified Bavarian restaurant is located in the main building.

We had reserved a table at Hackelberger for about 40 people for a family reunion. The day before the reunion, we received a call saying we could only stay from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. because that's when the next reservation would be. We had already made a reservation in April for August. Up until that day, no one had told us we could only stay for three hours. Not even when we asked a few days before whether the restaurant or beer garden would be open, as we had to dress for the weather. However, since we had relatives traveling from Munich, Hamburg, and Lörrach especially for us, we decided on a different restaurant. They wouldn't travel for three hours. It's impossible that we would simply be "kicked out" if we had been there. Thankfully, we found another restaurant. It's not easy to get a table for 40 people at such short notice, and they also serve hot meals throughout the day.

I had the fried chicken salad, which was very, very good. The potato salad that accompanied it was also very well-seasoned. The service (Adrian) was friendly, polite, and very prompt; I was impressed. Please keep it up! The ambiance is modern and comfortable. Excellent value for money.

A beautiful, large beer garden, there's always room. We got there late, and the kitchen was already closed, but they still had pretzels and cheese to go with the wonderful beer, which alone makes the visit worthwhile.

The restaurant is also busy in the afternoon on weekdays. Reservations are recommended! The food and ambiance are excellent. However, points are deducted for the service staff's initial friendliness and for the fact that only one pastry/dessert was available.

The food (Bavarian tapas and roast pork in a traditional Bavarian dish) and, above all, the service from our waiter Christoph were excellent. It's a lovely place to sit under old trees. Plenty of parking is available. Food and drinks are self-service. Well organized. The food is fairly standard in terms of quality. Pork knuckle, meatloaf, half a chicken, etc. And we enjoyed it.

A lovely, cozy brewery pub with delicious beer, excellent food, and a large beer garden in the summer.

We had lunch here in the cozy beer garden with its beautiful old trees. It's self-service. Our chosen dishes: currywurst with fries, half a grilled chicken, potato salad, and meatloaf were delicious, and the portions were very generous. The staff was extremely friendly and very efficient. At the end of May, there weren't many tourists like us.

If you're looking for good Bavarian food in Passau, this is the place to be. Whether it's a restaurant or a self-service beer garden, the atmosphere is great, the service is friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. The beer 🍺 is delicious and the food is plentiful. The staff is super friendly and answers any questions. The apricot spritz is an absolute must; you simply have to try it. We definitely recommend it, and we'll be happy to come back next time we're in Passau.

A rustic Bavarian restaurant with a lovely terrace and a wonderful beer garden. To start with, the food: The roast pork was truly outstanding. Succulent, hearty, with an excellent sauce – definitely recommended. The house beer is a poem. Unfortunately, we didn't have a great experience with the staff – it seems very cold and crisp here. After being kept waiting for a while at the entrance, we were called out to choose a seat. No sooner said than done, we went inside (since there was no room outside on the terrace) and were immediately intercepted by a waitress inside who asked us to "please wait outside until we are invited to sit down!" After an explanation, we were seated at a table and made to wait again. Then, another lady handed us two menus – without comment, without a word. This was the afternoon menu, and a brief note that half of the menu found online isn't actually available would have been nice. We were already looking forward to the Reindl (a pot of wine). But okay. By the way, there are no drinks on the afternoon menu – so you're expected to know the drinks menu (?). On my first attempt to eat, I gave in and asked for the drinks menu – which, almost a bit annoyed, was handed to us as well. On the second attempt, everything worked out – we ordered, and the food arrived in no time. Unfortunately, there was no cutlery; before we noticed, the server had already disappeared. We quickly organized it ourselves because we didn't want the food to get cold. In short – the food was excellent, but the staff could have done with a lot of improvement. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon; only the terrace was full; inside, everything was empty, and the restaurant wasn't overcrowded.

After we had a nice trip we stopped at the brewery. A very nice building from the outside. Unfortunately the beer garden was not yet open at the beginning of May. But the small outdoor area right next to the brewery was also very nice. The atmosphere was cozy and we were served quickly. The employees were very nice and the beer was excellent. We were actually looking forward to the beer garden, but it won't open until May 13th, 2025. Still got a table outside. My meal (Surbraten) was very tasty, and of course the beer was outstanding!

Annoying! Unfortunately, the Bräustüberl is not in the city center. And that's why you have to go there by car. And that is the only criticism. Since we really couldn't find a middle-class restaurant for us in Passau on the Easter weekend, we went to the Bräustüberl for the first time. Everything was great from starters to desserts. Staff class. Unfortunately an order was forgotten twice. If everything goes well on the next visit, there will be 5 stars. Definitely a recommendation

Everything looks nice, but unfortunately it was closed. We were annoyed because Google maps said it was open. 20 minute walk along the street there and 20 minute walk back vs. Keep opening times up to date on Google maps. It's work for the host, but he should take the 5 minutes.

We always enjoy going to the Hacklberger Bräustüberl. The atmosphere in the interior of the restaurant is cozy, rustic and stylish, the outdoor dining area in front of the restaurant is also nice to sit in and in the summer the huge beer garden is an inviting place to stop off. There is also a large playground for the children. The menu is varied and consists of regional dishes and there is also a children's menu. The food tastes great, whether Kasspatzn, South Tyrolean Kaspressknödel, cod fillet, Wiener Schnitzel or Sudhaus-Pfandl. During the week there are changing lunch dishes and there is a "dessert of the day". The staff are very friendly and you feel completely welcome.

A top restaurant in Passau. The ambience invites you to linger. Friendly and considerate staff. Allocation of space promptly and friendly. The food is Bavarian and tastes great. It wasn't the first and certainly not the last visit to the restaurant. An absolute recommendation if you are visiting Passau and are looking for a good restaurant.

I had the Haxen and the stout. To be honest, I wasn't that impressed, but it was above average beer. The Haxen tasted classy. For my purely personal taste, the food was a bit salty.
