Friendly staff and very tasty food.

We are absolutely thrilled! It's been a long time since we've eaten so well. As much as we love German cuisine, Georgian food is simply in a league of its own. The khachuk, the khinkali, the fresh salads, the chacha, and the coffee... it was a true feast! And on top of that, the incredibly friendly staff gave us a warm welcome. We felt completely at ease. Next time we're in Passau, we'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

We've become regulars at this family-run restaurant because the food is delicious, the portions are generous, the prices are fair, and above all, everything is prepared with love. We especially appreciate that the dishes aren't overly salty or spicy – ​​everyone can adjust the seasoning to their own taste. The only thing that unpleasantly surprised us was the 10% service charge included in the bill. Especially since a tip is apparently also expected. We've never seen anything like that on bills in Bavaria before. Nevertheless, we wish you much success and many grateful customers ❤️

As always, a fantastic culinary experience! We come here every time we're in Passau. It's a small, authentic, and cozy restaurant. The Georgian food is simply special – spicy, interesting, and very delicious. Kinkhali (dumplings), Tsibili salad, roasted eggplant with nut cream, eggplant stew, chicken with nut sauce – we've tried almost everything on the menu, and everything was superb.

An excellent Georgian restaurant! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy—warm and inviting, like visiting friends. The food is beyond praise: the shashlik is fresh, the khinkali are juicy, with a rich broth, and the spices are perfectly balanced. I'd especially like to highlight the presentation and quality of the ingredients—everything is authentic, without compromise.

The atmosphere was more like a fast-food joint. There was no way to get any help identifying the individual dishes. Sides, main courses, etc. So we just ordered whatever we wanted. Well, what we got was mostly overcooked meat skewers and bland side dishes. But it was really cheap.

The food was okay and the service was also okay, but I've eaten better in Passau.

We had lunch, and the portions were good and plentiful; I enjoyed the food. The owner and his wife make a lot of effort. The 10% service charge surprised me and is unusual here in Germany. I think the restaurant would do better without it. We expected bread to accompany the goulash soup and eggplant stew, but we found it on the bill. Therefore, only four points.

Unfortunately, it's very disappointing! This place doesn't deserve to be called a restaurant, as it doesn't have a proper kitchen, and almost all of the food is frozen and simply boiled in a pot or heated in the microwave. The price-performance ratio is completely unacceptable. All of the dishes I ordered tasted rather bland and unseasoned, such as the borscht, which I had to add salt and pepper, and the plov, which tasted far too dry and consisted only of rice and a few pieces of dry beef.

Amazing food on a quiet street in the middle of the Old Town. This great restaurant was a very nice break from spending too much money on mediocre food just because it was in a tourist area (happened way too often). But Meko was excellent food, served on cute Cafe tables, with really kind and friendly service. Our waitress was very patient with us, letting us order in English with the aid of Google translate and the well-photographed menu. This was our first time having Georgian food, and it was wonderful. Reminded me a bit of Indian and even Thai - mostly in the sense that the flavors were really complex (eg 5-10 herbs and spices in every bite). That complexity made the meal both delicious and fun as we tried to figure out exactly what was in each dish (without Google). Meatballs, a soup, and a rice entree were just over 20 euros combined. And tea was cheap! Finally in Germany, something other than milk was less expensive than alcohol or bottled water. We really enjoyed the meal and will be back on our next visit to Passau.

I can't say whether the food here is authentic, as I've unfortunately never been to Georgia - but that doesn't matter to me personally! What I can say: The food is very tasty. Simple Georgian dishes with good ingredients, very aromatic! Communication with the service was a bit difficult, but I still got what I wanted! ;) The location in a small alley is also very beautiful, with a view up to the cathedral. I consider the price/performance ratio to be very good - for this reason, and because it's a good alternative to the usual local cuisine, it's a 5-star overall! Note: The sodas are very high in sugar - for people like me who need to be careful. (I opted for water instead.)

I visited this restaurant specifically and was sadly disappointed. The service was very friendly – ​​high praise for that! – but the offerings are unfortunately difficult to describe as Georgian cuisine. I would describe it more as Soviet-influenced cuisine with Georgian overtones. Perhaps that, too, has its justification and a distinct audience – but: First, it misleads guests who have never tasted authentic Georgian cuisine. Second, the taste is unfortunately not convincing. The khinkali, which were supposed to be filled with beef, contained only a minimal amount of indefinable green filling – the meat was barely recognizable. The khachapuri were plain, with little cheese and no distinct flavor. The shashlik was overseasoned (significantly too salty) and lacked the typical Georgian spices. The vegetable salad was okay, but also lacked Georgian herbs or flavors. The "Olivier" salad, which I also tried – a classic in the post-Soviet world – had no meat or sausage and was rather bland in taste. The "Tarkhun" was just a green-colored lemonade flavored with Lithuanian flavoring – not a true tarragon drink. Only the Georgian wine, which we bought by the bottle and enjoyed at home, was truly delicious. In my opinion, it would be better to invest a little more but offer truly authentic flavors. I wish the team continued success – but the cuisine should be more in keeping with what you'd actually get served in Georgia.

This is not a restaurant, not even a cafe, an eatery. The food is terrible, the kebab is like rubber, they heat it up, not in the heat of the moment. I didn’t see anything Georgian. Disappointed. If you don’t want to spend money and ruin your mood, I absolutely don’t recommend it. The only thing that could be eaten and prepared was khachapuri. Khinkali is not about anything.

Small snack bar with hardly any space to sit, more to be taken away, but very nice owners and food homemade like at home, very tasty, really traditional and tastes what is most important. Very interesting change from everyday western food. If I'm ever in Passau, I'd love to eat there again.

Unfortunately, I ordered something really bad for dinner... the mashed potatoes consisted of 80 percent water and 20 percent potatoes, and at times it looked like someone had spit in my food. Just like the dumplings, which unfortunately had no taste at all and were definitely not fresh, but bought... (you can make them all yourself at home) The salad was ok but very, very slimy somehow (as if someone had spit in my food😭) I spent almost 50 euros and I wish I could take it back 😐

Mein Besuch in diesem kleinen georgischen Café war eine wahre Freude! Die gemütliche Atmosphäre und die herzliche Gastfreundschaft haben mich sofort willkommen geheißen. Das Café hat einen einzigartigen Charme, der mich sofort in die traditionelle georgische Kultur entführt hat. Das Essen war absolut köstlich! Die georgische Küche ist für ihre reichhaltigen Aromen und traditionellen Gewürze bekannt, und dieses Café hat sie perfekt umgesetzt. Die Speisen waren frisch zubereitet, authentisch und einfach nur lecker. Mein persönlicher Favorit war das Khachapuri, ein georgisches Käsebrot, das mich mit seinem einzigartigen Geschmack begeistert hat. Was dieses Café wirklich besonders macht, ist die familiäre Atmosphäre. Die Besitzer und das Personal sind freundlich, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, sicherzustellen, dass sich die Gäste wie zu Hause fühlen. Man merkt, dass hier Leidenschaft und Liebe in jedes Detail gesteckt werden. Ich kann dieses kleine georgische Café nur wärmstens empfehlen. Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach einem Ort sind, an dem Sie traditionelle georgische Küche genießen und sich wie Teil einer liebevollen Familie fühlen können, dann ist dies definitiv der richtige Ort für Sie. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Das Positive zuerst, denn das ist leider schnell notiert: Schaschlik-Fleisch war geschmacklich überraschend "europäisch" gewürzt (Salz/Pfeffer), ohne Spirenzchen oder ungewohnte Marinaden. Lecker wars auch, Holzkohle-Aroma vom Grill eben. Kann man nicht viel falsch machen. Dann aber schon zum Negativen: Preisgestaltung leider völlig daneben bzw. zusammengewürfelt. Wo Pommes pro Portion €1,50 kosten (kriegt man faktisch nirgends für den Preis) oder eine Teigtasche mit Hackfleisch gefüllt €3 (die als Vorspeise für 2 Pers. gereicht hätte), hat das Schaschlikfleisch (vom Schwein, wohl Nacken/Schulter in Würfeln) einen Kilopreis von €50,00 (100g-weise €5,00). Für Schweinefleisch wohlgemerkt, das höchstwahrscheinlich im Großmarkt für nen Kilo-Preis von €6,90 oder dgl. gekauft wird). Das dann für das fast 8(!)-fache weiter zu verkaufen, grenzt nicht nur an Wucher, sondern ist es leider auch. Für €50 bekomm ich beim Fleischer auch 1kg Dry-Aged Entrecote oder Rinderfilet....aber Schwein? Zumal auf dem Notizblock, der hinter der Theke zum Notieren der Bestellungen dient, eindeutig "0,400 = 25€) zu lesen war. Da das Fleisch nicht auf einer sichtbaren Waage gewogen wird, wurden wohl auch hier 100g weggelassen. Dressing vom Beilagensalat (€3) war ok, der bestand leider zu 3/4 aus (nicht kleingehackter, sondern nur grob "gezupfter" Petersilie samt Stängelabschnitten) und nur zu 1/4 aus Tomate (3-4 halbe Tomatenscheiben und 2-3 Streifen Paprika sowie ca. ein TL kleiner Frühlingszwiebelscheiben). Die Petersilie war in der Menge und Größe schlicht nicht genießbar und wurde übriggelassen. Pommes wurden (2 Personen) auf 1 Teller serviert, wobei das nicht wirklich störend war und das kleinste Problem darstellte. Schlussendlich muss man sagen, dass man (obwohl das Fleisch geschmacklich echt gut war) für knapp €40 mit 1 kl. Salat, 1 Getränk 0,5l (Cola Zero), 2 Port. Pommes und 2x200g gegrilltem Schweinefleisch (Selbstbedienung!) in einem Restaurant besser aufgehoben wäre. Aber für einen Imbiss, in dem maximal 10 Leute Platz haben (2x4er und 1x2er Tisch, Außenbestuhlung nicht vorhanden, bei 6-7 Personen im Innenbereich ist es aber bumpenvoll, so dass nicht mal mehr der Kühlschrank aufgeht), ist das (das Fleisch betreffend) ein viel zu überzogener Preis. Mit der Hälfte könnte man zufrieden sein, ein normaler Hauptspeisenteller belegt mit 10-12 Schweinefleischwürfeln und garniert mit einer halben Zwiebel in Streifen für €25 (wohlgemerkt NUR das Fleisch, ohne Beilagen) ist einfach zuviel des Guten. Abschließend wars ok, aber für den Preis werden wirs kein 2. Mal essen. Wenn der Preis vom Fleisch entsprechend angepasst wird, kommen wir gern ein 2. oder auch 3. Mal vorbei. Inhaber, trotz quasi vollkommen fehlender Deutschkenntnisse (ja/nein) freundlich und zuvorkommend. 18 Bewertungen mit ausschließlich 5 Sternen kann ich leider nicht nachvollziehen. Da jede einzelne ohne 1 Wort an Kommentar gewertet wurde, kann man (was schade wäre) eigentlich nur davon ausgehen, dass da Freunde/Bekannte um Bewertungen gebeten wurden oder selbige gekauft wurden. Alles in allem okay, aber 5* gehen leider nicht in Ordnung. Ausschließlich? No way.

Хорошая грузинская кухня. Пришли в ресторан на день рождения сына-заказали : шашлык,чебуреки,салат,суп -харчо..и от заведения получили в подарок-хачапури с сыром!🎁 Все просто очень-очень вкусно 😋. Обязательно попробуйте еще грузинский лимонад. Рекомендую-вкусно и не дорого. Все по -домашнему..😁
