Cool location, it was a lot of fun, unfortunately the food was too expensive for what you got and unfortunately the roast pork wasn't particularly good either :( Hope that was just the exception!

Very good food and beer in a cozy atmosphere

A visit to the Giesinger Bräustüberl is a must for every beer lover and friend of Bavarian pub culture. The ambience is authentic and inviting, with rustic wooden furniture and a cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. Here you immediately feel the charm and warmth of a real Munich brewery. The menu at Giesinger Bräustüberl offers a wonderful selection of traditional Bavarian dishes. I tried the Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and it was perfectly cooked - the meat was tender and the breading was golden brown and crispy. The white sausages with pretzels and sweet mustard were also a real treat and fully met my expectations. The heart of the Giesinger Bräustüberl is of course the home-brewed beer. The selection ranges from classic light beer to wheat beer and seasonal specialties. Every beer is fresh and of the highest quality. I was particularly impressed by the Giesinger Märzen, which, with its malty note and pleasant bitterness, goes perfectly with the hearty dishes. The service at the Giesinger Bräustüberl was friendly and attentive. The waitress was always on hand to fulfill our wishes and was happy to give recommendations on food and drinks. You really feel welcome and in good hands here. The Giesinger Bräustüberl is not only a place to eat and drink, but also a meeting place for sociable hours with friends or family. It offers the perfect combination of Bavarian cosiness and culinary enjoyment. It's definitely worth a visit and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Update: The restaurant manager contacted me directly and explained the matter and cleared up the misunderstanding. Thanks. Original: I visited this restaurant with a few colleagues on 04/06 and at the end of a lovely evening, the waitress did not understand the payment information being processed and asked for another payment. I ended up paying for the meal twice and the next day I asked them to refund the additional charge that was made. I sent an email the very next day asking for a refund. In the last 15 days after that I haven't heard a single word and I'm dealing with my banks about €31. It's certainly not a big amount, but the feeling of being cheated is really unpleasant.

Overall ok if you come for the beer. The white sausage was good, but the pretzel was unfortunately too dry. The Obatzde was pretty good, there is also a much better one. The service was good and attentive.

The Giesinger Bräustüberl tempts with illustrious beer names and is establishing itself on the Munich beer market. However, the cuisine doesn't score at all: the prices are too high and the quality is subpar. How can you go wrong with a traditional southern German dish like Käsespätzle? Just the presentation in a soup bowl, without onions and with a mush that was neither cheese nor anything else, is an imposition. Another dish, a vegetarian schnitzel, only had fatal effects some time after eating. Maybe you can drink beer, but not food. A big drawback and an impertinence for every palate and stomach.

Great service, staff very friendly and accommodating. The beer (tried four different ones) was great. The food was also very tasty and freshly prepared. The highlight is the Kaiserschmarrn, which you absolutely have to order. Overall, absolutely recommended!!!!!

You have to be careful because they give you bad things and charge you double. Or they offer you things that you think are an invitation from the house and then they charge you for it. After that the food was very good.

Drinks were really tasty - Atmosphere was "quite nice" outside - Service was unfriendly - I didn't feel welcome - No real "host qualities" - Menu was more intended for those who are very hungry: the question of another portion of fries (or something similar) was asked rejected with unkind words. The brewhouse in particular is highly recommended because of its individual activity. On Father's Day it was particularly popular with fathers' groups.

Food good but too expensive, cheese spaetzle (organic) for 17€. If you can have an aftershock, then the portion should fill you up. Beers beyond any doubt.

The evening we visited there was a card game, the atmosphere was very friendly. We didn't play but it was still possible to chat without problem despite the atmosphere. The dishes were OK, the beer is homemade and they have quite a choice but you have to be careful some of the beers are bottled. It's a little expensive for this quality but it was a good time.

For a Bräustüberl with a deliberately relaxed atmosphere, the prices are too high even for Munich residents. The portions are also not for larger appetites. The roast pork is good, but the baked potato for just under 18 euros is almost a disgrace.

You can definitely drink a beer or two here, but the food is not recommended at all. The roast pork was an impertinence and this in a quaint, Bavarian restaurant. That shouldn't be the case.

Check it out on a Sunday from 10am for white sausage breakfast with pretzels and beer. Very traditional Bavarian way to have a breakfast for a special occasion.

Highly recommended great beer and food

I was there with friends before a football game and I have to say, the location is absolutely amazing, as is the selection of drinks. Fabulous. I can't say anything about the kitchen (yet) but I'll definitely take a look when there's no game. Keep it up!

Been a guest several times over the last few years. Always satisfied so far... The last visit was also the last: the table reserved for 12 people wasn't ready on time, the service was annoyed, not really friendly or even attentive, the beer had no foam, the food wasn't tasty, but almost cold. Prices are now horrendous & definitely not commensurate with the quality. Incredibly loud in the guest room; A conversation across the table is hardly possible. After 2 hours the table had to be cleared, even though there were still guests eating. Ultimately, a really unsatisfactory experience for all 12 guests. You felt like you were being priced out and in return you received inadequate quality.

The beer is the best here in the Bräustüberl, my cheese spaetzle was a disgrace. The service was very decisively friendly, after 2 hours we were then very urgently asked to leave the table we had reserved. We were told that the table had been reserved twice more that evening. I don't feel comfortable in this atmosphere. One I am very reserved about visiting again.

Locals don't like it. For some reason! Arrogant service. No normal communication possible - seriously disappointed! The second time! A pity. It was good at first...

Absolutely unbelievable... You need a German passport to buy anything, there is a scam voucher system and a half hour queue to be told your passport is not accepted even thought your date of birth is pretty obviously printed on it. Avoid like the plague, brain dead staff complete the mess of a brewery.

Despite the praiseworthy regionality and partly organic origin of the products, it is also borderline. Biobreze for just 2.90.. Assuming you get something warm from the menu in the evening, because unfortunately the kitchen is cold from shortly before 9 p.m., even if the Schwemme is open until 1.

Nice, cozy place. I had the onion roast and have to say that I have eaten better. Meat ok, a bit tough. The supplements e.g. Potatoes were lukewarm at best. For the price you can expect more. I won't come here again because of the food, there is better for this price.
