Modern but cozy brewery, nice location, also for larger groups. Service is always on point and very friendly. Beer and Giesinger Spritz are delicious and drinkable. Food is good, but the portions could be a bit larger for the price, but the taste is good. Dishes are designed to be more modern with small, beautiful decorative twists. It's also nice that there are many different vegetarian and vegan alternatives.

The Giesinger Bräustüberl is a very nice brewery with various small beer gardens around the building. There are also various dining areas, some near the brewing kettles or at the bar. There is also a separate stand-up bar with music, separated from the actual bar. The location close to the Holy Cross Church is also charming. Because the brewery is shielded from the street by a wall on one side and surrounded by trees and wild vines on the other, it's easy to forget the big city here. The food is solid, but especially the beer is excellent. The dishes are Bavarian standard, but have a more modern design and are sometimes slightly reinterpreted. It should be positively mentioned here that as a vegetarian you not only have to eat Kässpatzen, but you can also choose from an unusually large menu. For me, the Bräustüberl has the character of a local pub.

I didn't like it. The food was only lukewarm, one meal was apparently forgotten, delivered later and was not cooked. The order could only be placed after a long wait. We had reserved, there were only time slots of 2 hours. In my opinion not recommended. Too bad

I've eaten in the Bräustuben several times - and I'm always happy to come back! The beer is simply great, especially because there are several varieties to choose from that are great to try your way through. The Bräustuben are not only a great place for Bavarian food, but also for a real tavern atmosphere. The tavern is a wonderful place to sway, especially when things get a little more sociable. The atmosphere, food and beer simply go together here - for me it's a classic that I enjoy visiting again and again.

Very good beer, good selection. But the food is absolutely not recommended for the price. Overpriced and the quality wasn't great either. A no-go for the hefty price.

Um, how cool is that? Extremely good beer, great selection, there is something for every taste. Excellent service staff. And the card - deserves an innovation award. I've been eating vegetarian and like meat alternatives for 15 years. This vegan steak aka "Vegan Onion Roast" is the best I've ever had in presentation, texture and taste. Thanks to the kitchen team for this experience. Absolute recommendation! ♡

We sat at a large table outside on the terrace. Service was great. The speed too. Nothing to complain about. A variety of different beers, very tasty. We would come back straight away! Update 2024: We were here again and again we really enjoyed it. The beer selection & the food. The service was super nice. Many different and unusual vegetarian and vegan dishes. Update 2025: Here again a year later and on the advice of the restaurant, this time I ate the vegan onion roast. And what can I say? I still dream about it. Really a great pub where vegans also get their money's worth.

Good bye! Yesterday we went to the event “Two goulash and two Seidl beers” at Giesinger and we really enjoyed the program. You know the beer, but we were once again very disappointed with the food. If the program invites you with goulash, then you would think that you would get goulash - but far from it. It was more like schnitzel with cream sauce (small shredded chunks of meat) - what was that? Doesn't the cook know goulash????? But we were already disappointed last summer; the cheese plate back then was also a disappointment. Mini chunks of Emmental cheese with hard, dried edges and 2 more, well, pieces of cheese. We can't really recommend eating at Giesinger.

Great local. The Giesinger beer is super delicious and what particularly stands out are the vegan options on the menu! I would like to come here again.

Ate upstairs in the evening. Chose fish which was tasteless and very small portions. My friend chose roast beef which was also not a large portion. Despite both starter and dessert, there was a kebab later in the evening, which rarely happens after eating dinner in a similar place. Won't be back.

Where else in Munich can you get a good beer for €3!!!!

I can almost copy the text from Dom, Local Guide. We also had Kässpatzn and wild garlic dumplings in cream mushrooms and! You'll be amazed: carrot straw! The "straw" turned out to be four! Perhaps fried wafer-thin carrot strips were draped on the dumpling alongside some cress. The cream mushrooms and the dumplings looked good at first, but left a lot to be desired in terms of taste. The Kasspatzn were a single sticky lump that required a knife. The service was attentive and present, friendly and focused on the guest is different... but there wasn't really much going on. The daily menu with the slightly cheaper dishes was only available upon request... Despite the beautiful beer garden location, sitting outside for the first time of the year, only 2 disappointed ☆☆. Never again. Oh yes: and we also paid €45 for 2 veg dishes and 2 drinks.

The Giesinger Bräu is a restaurant where you can eat well and drink very well. Whether outside or inside there is enough space for everyone, inside you can sit at the old brewing kettles, which creates a special atmosphere. The menu is clear and also has good vegan alternatives to meat. If you want a hearty meal, you're in good hands here. The beer comes in many different varieties, a little different than usual. The best beer and the best Bavarian food in Munich. At Giesinger you get a wonderful roast pork with the best salad in the whole city. The beef tata is also highly recommended! There is a large selection of beers, I personally recommend the “Red Ale”. 🍻 Cheers!

Been here many times, always amazing. Food may seem pricey but it is worth every cent. Have never eaten anything that wasn't absolutely delicious and portions are decently sized. Beer selection is perfect, wide variety with classics always available but seasonal options often widening the options. Service is great, it always feels as if the people working there are enjoying it. Definitely reserve a place before going, it can get very busy there.

Great choice of beer, all taste absolutely good. The service was quick and food was cooked very well, especially schnitzel. I also appreciated the atmosphere, there were places outside with view of green trees, so it was a pleasure to drink their beer, eat and having a rest.

Never at events, don't even see the artist because of the column, you'd rather watch TV, failure of the technology can happen wasn't so tragic because the artist was good and spontaneous, food (cheese spaetzle didn't look good visually and tasted even worse than it looked), service staff very good and quickly, even extra wishes were fulfilled, so my summary a nice location, good for something to drink and chat too, but don't bring any events and don't be hungry.

Friendliness leaves much to be desired. Guests are usually greeted as they arrive or depart. That's not the norm here. The food was no more than average and doesn't make me want to return.

Wir waren im Giesinger Bräustüberl zum Abendessen - unter der Woche. Das Brauhaus ist einfach aber gemütlich eingerichtet und gut besucht. Eine Reservierung wird daher empfohlen. Hinweis: Es gibt auch einen etwas feineren Bereich zum Abendessen. Die Bierauswahl ist groß und lecker. Der Service war ausgesprochen nett und zuvorkommend. Das Essen hat uns in Summe gut geschmeckt. Die höheren Preise sind uns aber auch aufgefallen. Das Fleisch war gut und der Kaiserschmarren lecker. Kartenzahlung ist natürlich kein Problem. Fazit: Wer leckeres Bier und Essen in ungezwungener Umgebung sucht, wird hier fündig.

Whenever I'm in Munich (Giesing), I eat here. The Giesinger Bräu is the only restaurant I know in Munich that, in addition to delicious beer, also offers typical Bavarian vegetarian and vegan food. And not just cheese spaetzle and cream mushrooms. The vegan onion roast was really good. I can only recommend it if you, as a vegetarian, want to go out for a hearty Bavarian meal.

Unfortunately it's no longer what it once was. Eating (roast pork) yesterday was an absolute disgrace. Two end pieces, totally dry and impossible to chew. Rails were like the day before, they weren't fresh. Two more people tried it and no one wanted to eat it. The second person at our table also received the same dry meat. The service was fine after some teething problems. Sorry, that wasn't it

We were with a group at the Giesinger Bräustüberl. We had a great place and felt comfortable. All the waiters were very friendly and we never had to wait long for new drinks. The vegan food was excellent and I would definitely order it again but also highly recommend it. Payment also went perfectly and everything was spot on. But a table must be reserved as all seats were occupied during the week. All in all it was great.

I was here with friends last weekend and pretty much the whole evening. It's very comfortable and I immediately felt at home. Our waiter Okcan was very nice and always looked after us well, even though it was full. There are many types of Giesinger beer, Giesinger Erhellung is my clear favorite, but maybe I'll try a few other types next time. I didn't order food, but my friends did. I'd love to come back.

The Giesinger Bräustüberl leaves a mixed impression. The ambience is great – you immediately feel at home here! 🙌🏼🍻 The food is visually a real eye-catcher and lovingly prepared, but the taste was not entirely convincing. 😕🍽 The cheese spaetzle was bland and barely seasoned, the roast pork was very fatty and streaky. The service could be friendlier, some of the staff seemed a bit arrogant, which dampened the mood 😬🙄 Unfortunately, the price of the whole thing is in the upper range, which weakens the overall package somewhat. For two dishes and two beers 45€ - too expensive for the quality offered! 🫥 Overall it's only enough for 2 stars - there's still room for improvement!

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience at the Giesinger Bräustüberl today. The beer and the ambience are great. Giesinger also knows how to market himself well. However, we were not completely satisfied with the food - we had the Giesinger Wirtshauspfandl. Unfortunately, the red cabbage was only lukewarm, the roast pork was slightly dry, there was clearly not enough sauce and the portion wasn't big enough for two people (at a price of just under €30 per person). Unfortunately, the service from a young waiter with shoulder-length brown hair who unfortunately displayed an arrogant demeanor did not improve our experience. We sat at the table for a long time with empty glasses, were then told that the red cabbage only had to be lukewarm and were then relatively harshly asked to pay with "card here" during the payment process. Basically, Giesinger is definitely doing a lot right. Only today we were anything but satisfied and would definitely not recommend it or come back.

Very tasty food (blood and liver sausage with delicious sauerkraut), very attentive service. Unfortunately, a reservation without an extra follow-up reservation is actually only valid for 2 hours and the table is then given away again.

As is well known, Giesinger is one of the newer beers in this city. I'm not at all surprised that it has already gained a lot of fans. Of course, a visit to the Bräustuben should not be missed. Of course, there is not only a restaurant and a small “Giesinger Shop” here, events also take place here on an irregular basis. I would almost describe the Austria and Schlager parties as legendary. Even when it gets busier, there is always a great atmosphere there. Be it in winter or in summer when a small beer garden is also open. There's no need to talk about the beer. Of course, as always, this is first class. The only point of criticism, if you want to find one, is the relatively small menu. I would perhaps have liked one or two more selections.

We rediscovered this place. Unfortunately on a very cold day between the years (the heating in the dining room had failed). We only had one Obatzter, but it tasted very good. Regarding the failed heating, we were allowed to choose a schnapps. Thanks for that! We would have liked to have stayed longer and eaten more food, but unfortunately the cold was uncomfortable.

We had an extremely successful Christmas party with buffet at this location. Not to forget the beer specialties that are available there... Highly recommended...😀

Bad beer and bad menu…. We ordered the 1/4 duck, they brought us the 1/2 duck and its not even written on the menu….. When we told them, they said ah sorry but we still had to pay that….. the beer isnt good at all only the weißbier is acceptable, NO haxe, and they sat us at the ugly part that is cold and looks like a factory…. I paid 50 euros for 2 bad beers and the worst german food ive ever had….. dont come here its not even cute

Great chef / new menu concept at least compared to 2-3 years ago. Before it was more snack style, while now the dishes are really top, 400% better, absolutely impressive and is now becoming the standard when it comes to Bavarian evenings. Not to mention the wonderful Giesinger “Enlightenment”. Just go in.

We were spontaneously in the area for dinner and, despite countless Christmas parties and without a reservation, we got a nice seat after 5 minutes. The food and beer are of course excellent. Always happy, great location and highly recommended

It was a very nice evening with former colleagues. A little loud at times. But very fast and attentive service, good food and delicious beer. Our mood was also good, exuberant, and perhaps not always exactly quiet. 😉

More modern brewery than the classic Munich breweries. In my opinion, absolutely worth a try if you are in Munich and want to try something different. It offers a large amount of craft beers and beers like IPA which is not very common here in Germany. The food portions could be bigger but the quality is unquestionable
