Wir hatten uns auf die Schnitzel gefreut. Leider haben nicht mehr die frühere Qualität gehabt… Die Kartoffeln schwammen im Fett. Und eines war doch ziemlich blass. Früher das beste Wiener Schnitzel in München, aber leider jetzt nicht mehr ☹️

An unbelievable operations manager for me! There was obviously a problem with the ventilation in the restaurant, which meant that the guest rooms were a bit cold, especially the table reserved for us for six people was right next to a window in the front area. I invited my host family from Australia to dinner in a traditional German restaurant. I then took the liberty of testing the table in the upper area, as there were no windows here, in the hope that there wouldn't be a draft there. I asked the waiter to set the table upstairs, he replied that he would first have to ask if that was possible. That alone is anything but hospitable, because everything was empty and the waiter knew about the status of the heating system and also agreed with me that this place was a bit cold. Then I happened to hear another person commenting to the waiter about what this was all about, since it was the same room. I then said to the waiter that the comedian at the front (it turns out that he was the manager) would like to try out sitting here. I was then given the other table where there was no draft through the cold windows. After the pancake soup, I recommended the traditional roast pork to my host family. In the menu it was shown as two dumplings and root vegetables. Other dishes included red cabbage and fried potatoes. When I asked to swap the root vegetables for the red cabbage and for one dish the dumplings for the fried potatoes, I was told that this was not possible. Because of my lack of understanding, the waiter went to the kitchen specifically to ask whether this was possible, because I explained to him that I have an Australian family with three children here and would have liked to leave a professional impression. The waiter came back and expressed his regret that he had to follow the menu's instructions. An absolute absurdity! I then ordered the red cabbage as a separate portion with the root vegetables and in one dish I also ordered the fried potatoes, mind you, with the dumplings. Here I can only say that Germany is the service industry. In particular, I will neither recommend this location nor enter it myself in the future. I come from Mannheim and often visited the Paulaner when I was passing through or because my girlfriend at the time lived in Munich, but that was the last time! A so-called operations manager in such a position is intolerable. The nice thing about services is that such businesses are avoided in the long run, which is no problem in Munich. Willy Kuntz

Die Heizung funktionierte nicht und es zog erbärmlich. Kein Hinweis des Kellners beim Betreten des Lokals, kein Angebot eines warmen Getränkes oder sonstiger Entschädigung. Lapidarer Kommentar des Kellners: Mir ist auch kalt…. Das nächste Mal gehen wir lieber wieder ins Wirtshaus in der Au - dort schmeckt es besser, das Personal ist freundlicher und warm ist es noch dazu.

Zum einen war es heute super kalt und als wir es anssprachen hieß es lediglich, die Heizung würde wieder spinnen… Zum anderen bestand „Unser Brettl“ fast ausschließlich aus Aufstrich-Varianten. Beim letzten Mal waren auch div. Fleischsorten und mehr Auswahl auf dem Brettl - geschmacklich war es ok. Der Kaiser-Schmarrn war leider super fettig. Sehr schade - bisher waren wir hier sehr zufrieden.

The conditions on booking are outrageous, 20€ in case of no show per person is simply unacceptable, considering we had 2 kids. Now, obviously, I did show up. But 1. It took me ages to book, and I had to change two credit cards. 2. We had two kids with us, and basically, with consumption, we paid almost 40€ more. Now the question is... with no food and service to pay. Is 10€ per person with a minimum of 50€ in case of no show, already enough? With a menu' which honestly it has not much to offer, although everything we had was good, and the service was great, it left me with a bitter feeling. And I believe it is my last time at the restaurant.

New Year's Eve Gala 2024 A 3-course menu was offered (two types of veal, salmon trout fillet or as a vegetarian option, three types of dumplings) including all drinks for €189.00 per person Location: The ballroom was tastefully decorated according to the event with candlesticks on the tables, cloth napkins, chair covers and everything that goes with it. Menu: There were three different spreads in advance with a choice of cheese pretzels and Nockerberger Trentino (bread) The first course is a wintry minestrone, then the menu of your choice and Black Forest cherry tiramisu as a dessert. All dishes on offer were of convincing quality both in terms of quantity and taste. A big thank you to the entire kitchen team. Service: There was absolutely nothing to complain about, fast - attentive and extremely friendly. Our warmest thanks for that too. Entertainment: A great live band that served all genres of music and also a top-class show act. Conclusion: The event was worth every single euro. We left nothing to be desired and anyone who wasn't there for this event missed out on one of the most beautiful New Year's Eve celebrations in Munich. We hope for a repeat in 2025.

The price is a bit high and the food is not generous. Still, it's very delicious and I like it. I wanted to try the rib dish recommended in several reviews, but I was able to wait long enough as orders were allowed after 3pm. However, around 2:30 p.m., I was told that the menu on the same page, including ribs, could not be ordered today. I plan to come back for ribs because the other food was delicious and the unfiltered beer was delicious.

Das bayrische Edelbrauhaus, fein und endlich mal nicht so derb! Architektonisch offen und als Statement, zeigt sich das Paulaner am Nockherberg. Optisch leicht, ein wenig moderner, die Einrichtung. Ein Augenschmaus. Trotz der Größe, trotz der unendlichen Fläche, fällt die Akustik über alle Maßen sehr gut aus! Die Getränkekarte, zeigt neben den ortsüblichen Bieren, auch naturtrübe Paulaner Biere, gute Weine nicht nur aus deutschen Landen, und Mixgetränke. Die Speisekarte hat zwar auch typische bayrische Speisen, ganz wie man es in einem Münchner Brauhaus erwartet. Doch die Zubereitung z.B. des Schweinsbratens, ist endlich mal modern interpretiert. Fein, edel, harmonisch, leicht und fettfreier als anders überwiegend kredenzt, kommt hier dieser auch fürs Auge fein hergerichtet auf den Tisch. Mit 2 kleinen Knödeln, einer sehr angenehmen und fein abgestimmten Soße, frisch geschnittenem Gemüse, einem nahezu fettfreiem Braten, ist es für mich der absolut Beste. Der erste Schweinsbraten, der mal mit Bedacht und Feingefühl komponiert wird. Aber auch die anderen Speisen, fallen angenehm anders aus. Nicht Viel, nicht Fülle, nicht Fett, - lautet hier die Devise. Vielmehr Geschmack, gute und bessere Ernährung. Hier funktioniert es auch auf bayrische Art! Bravo! Ich komme gern wieder!

Im Biergarten kein alkoholfreies Helles, musste dazu in die Wirtschaft gehen, in der Wirtschaft dann mit größerer Gruppe gespeist. Sehr lange Wartezeiten, andere Getränke als bestellt geliefert, Kellner nur selten zu sehen, Gläser regelmäßig leer und kein Kellner zu sehen, Speisenqualität in Ordnung, aus wenig viel herausgeholt, Tischreservierung online hat im dritten Anlauf dann geklappt. Telefonische Absprachen wurden in diesem Zusammenhang nicht eingehalten, auch wenn wir diese wie vereinbart in der Reservierung mit angegeben haben. Haben uns vor Ort dann einfach selbst beholfen.

Wir waren zur Taufe unseres Enkels zum Essen dort. Unsere Bedienung hatte schon Schwierigkeiten für den ganzen Tisch die Bestellung aufzunehmen (13 Personen 600 €). Kindergerichte gab's nur auf Anfrage. Mein Mann hatte sein Wiener Schnitzel nur zur Hälfte geschafft. Wollten es gerne mitnehmen. Da wir aber die Plastikbox für 5 € Pfand nicht nehmen wollten haben wir auch keine Alufolie bekommen. Lieber das halbe Kalbsschnitzel weggeworfen als eine Alufolie zu bringen. Sind sehr enttäuscht und werden nicht wieder dort Essen gehen.

Traditional restaurant with its own brewery on the high bank of the Isar. Chic atmosphere but still somehow traditional. We got a nice seat on a Sunday evening even without a reservation. Super nice and attentive service (Dave). Even though it was really busy, service was quick and attentive. Small but quite varied, sometimes even unusual menu. The food is of absolutely high quality and is also a visual experience. Also a great offer for vegetarians. We would love to come here again

Was here for the “Frank und frei” event and both the wine tasting and the beer garden are recommended. However, prices are typically high to very high in Munich. Examples from the winter menu: Wiener Schnitzel €32, beef roulades €28, fish fingers made from zander fillet €32, wheat beer €6.20. Price/performance is therefore not entirely justified for a beer garden, the only point deducted.

The whole inn looks stylishly modern, but it lacks a bit of cosiness. The food, we had roast pork and spare ribs, was okay, but nothing more. The taste is very neutral (but I think the meat quality is good). Portions rather generous, prices high. The bad habit of charging extra for the coleslaw with the roast pork is also practiced here. In summary, you can eat better and cheaper in Munich. I didn't really like the light (Nockenberger), it's of course a matter of taste...

The food and the drinks are great, too bad it takes you to beg and make a show sometimes for the waiters to go to your table. The last time that I was there, the guy with the black long hair was actively ignoring us for the better part of an hour until his very nice colleague Anne actually noticed us and got us a beer. Worth for the drinks, hopefully never again in that section of the restaurant.

Update from April 27, 2024; Visit to the beer garden. A clear selection of hot and cold dishes. However, everything is extremely good. Also beautifully presented on the plate, rather atypical for a beer garden. In my opinion the best beer garden in Munich. The location of the restaurant and beer garden is beautiful. The guest rooms are modern in combination with Bavarian tradition. The huge tavern including a show brewery is impressive. One of the always very friendly employees will bring you to the table and serve you very well with charm and humor. A large selection of different beers is available. With a “beer tasting” of 5 or 10 different beers you can taste your favorites. The menu is not overloaded. This is expressed in the absolute top quality of the food. Everything here is fresh and homemade. There is star level there! This quality and the great presentation of the food justify the slightly higher prices. Everything absolutely perfect.

I have been to the Paulaner twice so far. Once in the summer, in the beer garden and recently in the winter time. Both visits were entirely positive. The food is very tasty and the portions are good. Personally, I like to experiment with traditional cuisine alongside the classics. The beer garden is not too cramped and is nice and big. The inside of the restaurant is simple with no frills and the Christmas decorations are not over the top, which I personally prefer. The restaurant offers a beautiful view over Munich. The waitresses are nice and unobtrusive. On the last visit, the young gentleman made a mistake when serving, but politely apologized. The toilets were clean. There are also free smartphone charging stations. The connection to public transport is not ideal, but that is complaining at a high level. The price increase has become clear, but classics are still within limits. A good alternative to the louder, more rustic Hofbräuhaus.

Man könnte fast sagen, etwas im Niemandsland gelegen erwartet einen trotzdem ein geschmackliches Highlight. Das hausgebraute naturtrübe Helle war sehr gut und wurde auch schnell nachgeschenkt. Die Tische stehen nicht zu dicht zueinander und das Licht ist auch gut. Ich hatte die Sparerips mit Entenkeule und war mehr als überrascht. Die Entenkeule war nicht Gummi sondern weiches aromatisches Entenfleisch. Die Sparerips empfand ich als die besten, die ich bisher überhaupt hatte. Alles jeden Cent wert. Publikum ist sehr international aber das ist in München ja überall so, und die Bedienung sehr freundlich und schnell.

Always best food and atmosphere. The dishes are well-prepared and thoughtfully presented, and the staff are friendly and efficient. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable and well taken care of. Definitely worth a visit for a nice meal.

Wir hatten Spareribs und Entenkeule vom Grill und Rehbollonaise. Spareribs waren gegrillt, Entenkeule cinfirrt. Insgesamt sehr ordentlich aber leider in einem viel zu kleinen Pfännchen serviert. Die Rehbollonaise kam gerade mal lauwarm, der Teller war heiß; das Essen also nicht frisch zubereitet und auch nicht frisch zubereitet. Es wurde anstandslos zurückgenommen und nach kurzer Mikrowellenbehandlung warm serviert. Bei dem Preisniveau alles in allem nicht befriedigend.

Nice place to eat, reception was very nice, everything was reserved but empty 😄. We sat down at a table that didn't have a reserved sign. However, the waiter said it fell down. Of course it falls down. It was Sunday 4:30 p.m.! As if everything was reserved because that is the typical time for dinner. Oh well The food was beautifully prepared and also delicious, my salad dressing had a weak taste but all in all it was ok. Böfflemot and deer excellently and modernly presented. Come again. Even if you couldn't change the attachments! But gastronomy is not easy, neither for the guest nor for the restaurateur!

Very nice location and friendly staff, but unfortunately the food was a disaster... You can't use a different side dish or generally change components for any dish. It's a real shame for a restaurant like this. We all ordered the spare ribs for €28 and all of them were charred (see picture), as if they had all been forgotten on the grill. The meat was therefore very dry... there wasn't even any sauce. (Luckily we were able to reorder). But for €28 it's very overpriced for my taste. The waiter was very embarrassed and apologized for it. Unfortunately only 1 star because for us the food comes first with the price.

It was a really great evening. We had reserved for 20 people, our service was very friendly, attentive and super fast. We all always had drinks and the food came quickly and at the same time. It was very tasty, fresh and creative. Gladly again, we all really enjoyed it. The only drawback is perhaps that half a beer costs 5.90, even though you are in/near the brewery. Otherwise highly recommended.

Very Bavarian. Actually delicious food, not ideal for vegetarians. However, I was brought the wrong food. Then we could no longer eat together. The error was not paid for on the invoice. Then we were given €4 as compensation, but it was immediately taken away again because another mistake was made on the invoice. All in all, poor service considering that you have to pay €7 for a bottle of still water...

Event with around 700 people, Oktoberfest style, unfortunately the food wasn't that good, it felt like the starter board had been on the table for half a day (liver cheese had already turned red, the spread had a dried edge..) Desserts weren't really good, the main course was okay . Everything in buffet form.

We made reservations for about 25 people, everyone got their drinks and food almost at the same time, nothing was missing. The food not only looked great, but also tasted excellent - from spare ribs, pulled pork burgers or roast pork - really perfect. The price is high, but definitely worth it. The service was exceptionally great!

On November 9th, 2024 I was part of a mega event of 1000 women who celebrated an Oktoberfest. The banquet hall was beautifully decorated, the food was extremely good, the buffet had several stations, so the waiting time was short. It was also quickly refilled. The numerous waitresses were friendly and quick. All in all, super organized. It was an unforgettable celebration.

Were on Saturday November 3rd. for lunch. once Pigners, once Böfflamotte. The meat was very good, as were the vegetables and the side dishes, unfortunately the temperature was only lukewarm, so only 4 points for the food. It was also inexplicable to the waiter why this was the case. We didn't have to pay for the espresso we ordered at the end, which was a very friendly gesture from the house. We will definitely come back because the taste and quality were simply first class.

We got the schnitzel plate and it was amazing! So much food, it could have easily fed 3 or 4 people 😅 I think my favourites were the spätzle with the mushroom sauce and the brezel-crusted schnitzel, but the regular one was super tender and delicious too. And you can’t beat the location! Traditional Bavarian beer garden 🍻

Absolutely recommended, you walk in the door and are immediately greeted and seated by a very polite service person. Despite the high occupancy, the service was extremely friendly and super quick. Very attentive and highly professional. All dishes were very tasty and beautifully prepared. Only recommended!!!

A nice Bavarian pub, just as you would imagine. Here you can notice that a lot of cooking is done from scratch. I would go out on a limb and say, like mom. They even have a lunch menu with very moderate prices. You can also see this in the clientele who come to eat here. I had a currywurst with homemade curry sauce, a dream 😊😋. The half pork knuckle was also great, absolutely recommended.
