The two of us were warmly welcomed and quickly offered a table. The table was cleaned immaculately again and the cards were handed out. Our dishes were served hot and delicious and at reasonable prices. Thank you.

Food tastes very good. Staff quite polite and quick too. You don't have to like the atmosphere, it's okay. I found it dark and heavy. The price is quite high. We had a wonderful evening with friends.

Amazing and authentic Bavarian restaurant serving great beer and Bavarian food . The menu is in German but the staff was very helpful to translate the menu for us . The food was very authentic . Will recommend to friends and family traveling in the city

The food was OK. I would have liked steak knives for the meat. It was difficult to cut through. It tasted good, the cheese spaetzle was tasty, but lukewarm. Our waiter wasn't present at all. He took our order in a half-distracted manner and didn't ask once if everything was okay. Not even at the end. Other colleagues of his were very friendly and smiled.

Was here for dinner. Was a total disappointment! It's not what it used to be! The main course “venison ragout with hazelnut spaetzle” was served in a dirty plate! - Hazelnut has zero taste, probably only looks good in the name. Tasteful and prepared like in the canteen! Highly priced for that! Then Kaiserschmarrn was actually an egg omelette with powdered sugar - there were far too many eggs in it, which you could see and tasted strong. It was probably my worst Kaiserschmarrn ever! And it was because of him that I came to this restaurant. The only good thing was the friendly service. Conclusion: Quality in the kitchen has been reduced, but prices have been raised!! Expensive disappointment! 40 euros just for food for one person is not a small amount. (I'm happy to pay for quality, but not for that!) Don't come back again.

First the good. Service is good. But the food is not good. Ate there 3 times for lunch. Mini portions with a bland taste. For tourists, but nothing for natives. Found something better.

Most of the waiters were courteous and friendly! A man with a black beard and thinning hair worked behind the counter, who was unfortunately really unfriendly. I was really surprised that you could turn away your guests so rudely. It's a shame, because otherwise I think the brewery is fine. Therefore unfortunately only one star.

Good roast pork (piggy bank) as a lunch special. The Wirtshaus zur Brezn offers a good selection for lunch. The portion of roast pork with dumplings, dark beer sauce and crispy crust for €13.50 tasted very good and was fairly priced for the portion size. However, I find the drink prices at €5.50 for a beer and €2.50 for an espresso to be too high for a pub despite the location. The ambience is inviting, but the music in the background bothered me personally. The service was quick, friendly if quite non-committal.

Arrived and got a seat straight away without a reservation. Drinks were brought quickly and so was the food. Only the side salad came very late, by which time I had almost finished the main course. We ate in a pan with various things on it (for 2 people). The sausages were good. The duck was good, but unfortunately a bit cold. One sauce (out of two) had hardly any taste, the other was delicious. The knuckle was a bit dry inside. The red cabbage was very tasty. The potato dumplings tasted very good. The bread dumplings were “ok”. The side salad came late but was good. A little too much vinegar for my taste. I would eat here again and try a different dish. I would give the food a 5/10, which is unfortunately just mediocre. But overall a great shop and friendly staff.

Really rustic yet modern inn in the middle of Munich. Super fast and nice service. Everything very clean. The taste of the food was excellent. The only drawback was that the food was only lukewarm. But it can happen. I'll come back and recommend you!

We were able to spontaneously get a table with 7 people. A phone call is better than making an online reservation. The food (Wiener Schnitzel & Kaiserschmarren) was very tasty and more than large enough. Always important… the beer tastes very good here too. The service was always attentive and friendly.

This is the first place we tried in Munchen, and it was delicious!!

Super tasty and nice atmosphere, but a rip off. We ordered a schnitzel with salad and additional potatoes. They didn't bring the salad because that's what the potatoes were for. We thought, “Okay, if the price stays the same, it’s fair.” But we still paid €2.00 extra. Unfortunately, it's a shame!!

We were there with a relatively large group (19 people) and made reservations for lunch and dinner and it worked out brilliantly, on a Saturday evening! The store itself was otherwise very busy, but justifiably so. The waitresses were very friendly and drinks were brought quickly. All requests for changes to the supplements were also implemented without any problems. We all enjoyed the food very much. Unfortunately - and that's why I have to deduct a point from the service - it took forever until our dessert (Kaiserschmarrn) arrived. But it was also great and we were able to share it between the three of us without any problems. For people who don't eat meat or, like me, don't really like eating meat, the selection is a bit limited. This should be considered beforehand when visiting. We were there for quite a long time because we had a great time! Always happy again!

Enjoyed an excellent lunch just before 2 p.m. on weekdays in the middle of Schwabing. Roast pork in dark beer sauce, sufficiently large portion. You can't get apple spritzer without added sugar from Auerbräu everywhere. My companion was able to enjoy bread dumplings with chanterelles. We'll be back!!! 😊

For us it is always a “must” when we are traveling in Munich or Schwabing. Delicious food, rather expensive in price.

Food was very tasty. Dumplings with chanterelles are recommended. Service was very good. Acoustically slightly too loud because it was very crowded, maybe a little more material for insulation.

The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. The location is right on the promenade of Munich. Sit and look - perfect. A Pig with Miro dumplings without cabbage doesn't work at all. Kraut can be ordered for an additional charge. The meat didn't have a proper crust either. A breaded chicken schnitzel is not a bakery dish. The salad was very sandy. But overall the food was okay.

I ate a very large piece of meat. beer was delicious Even if I wanted to come next time, I probably wouldn't be able to come... I enjoyed my business trip to Germany.

Amazing night, with amazing food and the service team was very kind!!!

We were traveling and looking for an inn. We came across this inn via the internet. Since we were only a little hungry, we ordered a sausage salad. Highly recommended for in between. Service friendly and quick. The best thing for me is that there is a charging safe for cell phones. Mine had become empty due to the many pictures in the Harry Potter exhibition and maps.

We very spontaneously got an outdoor space for 4 people. The service overall was very nice and friendly. A meal was forgotten during preparation but was delivered 5 minutes later as a very large portion as a gesture of goodwill. One of the waiters answered our question about salt with “I’m off work.” We found that a bit strange. He could have quickly informed his colleagues. But we then asked the friendly lady and she apologized often and was very helpful and took care of our salt matter. :-) At the end there was a delicious short on the house as an additional apology. That's what I call service! Great service, great service, very tasty food and the beer is also highly recommended! Priced well too. We stayed for 4 people at roundabout 100€. You can't complain about that. We'd love to come back if we're nearby.

Typically Bavarian atmosphere. The service staff is friendly. The food was very tasty - but you also pay a lot for the food here and even for the 1/2 Helles you pay a lot of money. Should be reconsidered.

Light and shadow. The fried chicken salad was great, the meat was great and a decent portion. I had loin gratinated with cheese and bacon, with spaetzle and cream sauce. I have NEVER had such bad spaetzle, they were more reminiscent of half-raw bread dough. The cream sauce was a bland ready-made sauce, there was no cream in it. One of the sirloins was dry, the other was excellent. Something must have burned when it was baked in the oven, which gave the entire dish a pungent soot taste. Unfortunately, everything went wrong at the court. Our complaint was responded to in a friendly and professional manner and a different dish was offered.

The Pork knuckle was delicious and cook to perfection and tender in texture. BBQ Pork Ribs also good. Not to sweet and the meat was tasty. Recommended, will come back. Great service too.

Went there spontaneously for an early dinner today with my son, the fried chicken salad is a really large portion with extra salad dressing and the roast pork with crust was great. Very friendly staff and large selection of dishes.

I just went here for some beers early on a Friday evening with a friend, so I can't comment on the food. But the service was painfully slow. The staff were friendly, but getting them to take our order took forever. Once ordered, the drinks came quickly, but we sat with empty glasses for so long before we could get the attention of the stuff.

Being travelers from distant West Coast USA, we loved the food, but a bit much for a hot and muggy summer day. Sauerbraten and it's gravy was fantastic. Being upstairs, the help didn't make it to us too often. Funny story, another helper brought the bottle of water we ordered, but no glasses. When I pointed that out, he gave a sheepish "sorry". Expecting water glasses soon, not until 10 minutes later when the waiter showed up, and I pointed out the missing water glasses, did we get them. Maybe that's European charm, and then maybe not. The beer was fresh and cold, so can't go wrong there. Prost!

Ate here while walking around Munich. I was looking to try some cheesy Käsespätzle and this is the location my hotel recommended. We were seated upstairs in this pretty cute little old looking restaurant. The Käsespätzle was pretty tasty and paired very nicely by my server to a beer. @210booze

Great Bavarian breakfast 😉 Weißwurst and the Kaiserschmarrn were a dream

After 20 minutes we ordered drinks and still didn't come even though there were enough staff and few guests. On top of that, when we asked the waiter if he could dry the table in the meantime because it had been raining, the waiter cheekily replied that we shouldn't stress, so that the tables next to us were surprised by this statement. The store urgently needs trained staff!!!

We were there to eat and watch football. Despite the large crowds, the service was very quick and the food was very tasty. We will be back! 😃

Definitely not a recommendation for public viewing and watching the EM!! Please find something else!! On every television the picture is different, the sound is 30 seconds delayed or forward and it is not improved. A catastrophic European Championship opening, where I can only recommend that every football fan avoid this shop. To make matters worse, instead of 1 cyclist and 4 beers -> you get 4 cyclists and 1 beer…

Last Thursday I was in Munich for a long weekend with my husband and daughter. Luckily we found this restaurant. We went there and were immediately impressed. The service was unique😃. Four of us had dinner at the Wirtshaus Zur Brez'n in downtown Munich. Lunchtime was already over, but warm food was available until late in the evening. A nice, rustic inn with typical Bavarian dishes. The service was very friendly and the food was simply delicious. We had roast pork with a crunchy crust, dumplings and, if you wanted, red cabbage or salad. For dessert we had Kaiserschmarrn and curd cheese. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended.

You can sit outside, but it is extremely noisy because it is right next to a very large, busy road. After we were finally served, the food came very quickly (too quickly for anything to have been made fresh) and so was the quality. Half warm cheese spaetzle with extremely chewy onions. The salad with it is really okay, plus the fresh pepper on the spaetzle. It's better to buy ready-made spaetzle from the supermarket and put it in the oven with cheese, then you will save yourself this disappointment. Cheese spaetzle costs €17.90 here; average price in the area
