Lovely neighborhood spot, with good bavarian fare (spinach späzle was delicious) and fresh beer on tap. Service is courteous and to the point. Bar area looks cool, will definitely pop back for drinks.

Really enjoyed our roast duck and dumpling lunch sitting outside here. Very well cooked and nice staff too.

As a Lower Bavarian, I can only say it couldn't be better. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, everything was delicious. We ate very well every day for a week. Service was courteous and friendly. Regards to the Lower Bavarian waiter. We'll be happy to come back on our next visit to Munich.

Very bad. We waited an hour for our food, and in the end, we only got it after complaining loudly to the head waiter. In the end, out of six dishes, two were dishes we hadn't even ordered. We accepted them because we were tired of waiting for more food.

We loved the schnitzel and ravioli. Great decoration and atmosphere. Polite and smiling waitresses. If we are newrby again, we ll definitely visit this restaurant once more.

A fantastic traditional Munich restaurant with very witty and authentic service. The two of us went there and had a very pleasant evening. Even though the restaurant is right next to a major road, you don't notice any traffic. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We sat in the cozy outdoor area, the service was very friendly, and the food (mushroom dumplings, spinach spaetzle, and apple pie) was excellent. The only thing I could have done with a bit more of a cheese flavor was the spinach spaetzle.

Invited by friends for a reunion, this was my first visit and I was rewarded for the 170km journey. The welcome was warm, the service (primarily from Anna – friendly, polite, humorous, prompt, and very attentive – truly fantastic, I wish there were such wait staff everywhere!) was outstanding, and all four or five meals I ordered were delicious, including the deliciously dressed salad. The restaurant itself, despite its rather historic and rustic setting, was absolutely pleasant and perfect for our chat. I would definitely be happy to come back.

My wife, daughter and I visited Munich for the first time together. We twice had occasion to enjoy a meal at Leib und Seele. On a rainy Saturday afternoon in August we enjoyed a late brunch, and then on a misty Monday we enjoyed a late lunch. The breakfast offerings were varied and delicious. The beers and spritzes were refreshing. The lunch offerings were also delightful. The restaurant appears to have mostly locals as their clientele. However they do have English menus available. We highly recommend this restaurant!

We had a birthday party in the adjoining room last Saturday, and it was a complete success. The contact beforehand was very, very pleasant. The food was excellent, and the waiters and waitresses were very nice and friendly, especially Monika, who was in charge of our dinner that evening. We chose the venue carefully, and we were not disappointed! We also received a lot of positive feedback from our guests.

Four of us were here on a Friday evening. Our food: roast pork, roast beef, fish, asparagus, and beef fillet was delicious. Noteworthy: Good, very friendly service. We felt very comfortable. I would gladly go back.

A cozy Bavarian restaurant with decent food and attentive service. The spacious interior is particularly pleasant, without the Munich habit of overly crowded seating.

We had a lovely girls' night out on a Tuesday. (We had a reservation.) The waitress Monika was very attentive, but not intrusive. Every dish (pike-perch, tagliatelle, risotto) was very attractively presented, tasted excellent, and everyone was truly filling, which isn't often the case in Munich anymore. The restrooms are a bit dated, but clean, and that's what matters most. We'll be back.

We were lucky with the parking, could be a problem. Staff super friendly, large selection, my dish of the day was very good. Very cozy interior. We were outside, a bit of traffic but ok. But it's not a real beer garden. Everything was actually great, go there 🍺👍🏻

The food others were eating looked delicious. This is my first visit and had just beer which was very good - Fanzsikaner-Keller. Very comfortable atmosphere and lovely lighting. Near great museums so I plan to return with an appetite.

The place is beautiful, traditional Bavarian, however there are many things to improve. A. Food: It is not the best, the Schnitzel was very small, for that price in Berlin in Austrian restaurants they give you a larger portion of meat. B. Service: Very improvable, although they were not rude, if we noticed something strange, we arrived first and they brought us the menu cards after another family that arrived after us. The food and drink also arrived after the other family that arrived after us. In short... it seems that we were not the waiter's priority... perhaps because we were foreigners. In my opinion we were not invited to return, perhaps it is a cultural issue or a misunderstanding... but it did leave us with a bad impression.

We had made reservations for lunch as a group. The table was set reasonably close for the number of people we had, even though the restaurant wasn't full. Otherwise, care was taken to ensure that all meals were served almost at the same time. Good taste and fair price-performance ratio for Munich. This also includes coffee prices!! Unfortunately no bread dumplings. That should be part of it in Munich.

After what I was served as “Käsespattzn” yesterday, that was probably my last visit to Body & Soul. Instead of homemade sparrows with three kinds of cheese on top and fresh fried onions, I was served a flour and cheese mash with cold fried onions. Unfortunately, my guess is that the Käsespatzn were delivered as they were and were just warmed up, which would explain the short waiting time and the discomfort in my stomach. It's a shame because the service was great and the location was really nice.

Decent Bavarian inn with a lively atmosphere. On Friday evening, four of us could only get a seat with a reservation - the inn was very busy, which was also reflected in the loud background noise. The service was friendly, but we had the impression that our young waitress was very busy. The drinks arrived late, and the food also took a long time to arrive, with a wait of almost an hour - although this was understandable for us given that it was at full capacity... Overall the food tasted good. The roast pork was nice and juicy, but there was only one dumpling as a side dish - so the portion was rather small. The Wiener Schnitzel was delicious, the fried potatoes were crispy and well seasoned. The prices for food, drinks and the atmosphere are still completely reasonable for Munich in this location. The toilets were clean, although a bit old. Street parking was easy to find within walking distance on Friday evening. The entrance and the restaurant are barrier-free. Overall, a very lively Bavarian restaurant where you can go out to eat in a rustic, convivial atmosphere without hesitation.

Das Servicepersonal ist sehr aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Es gibt auch mal einen kleinen Smalltalk. Sehr angenehm. Die Hauptspeisen waren sehr gut. Der Höhepunkt war der Kaiserschmarren. Dafür fahre ich gerne nochmal 50 Kilometer.

Cozy place, friendly waiters, nice food. The main dish was great (pork medallions in pepper sauce), side dishes that go with it (rosti and vegetables) were ok, but pretty basic. Plenty of options for vegetarians, nice daily selection. Kaiserschmarn dessert is nice, but its for 2 people at least.

Why is there an English menu when you're going to ignore English orders? The rudeness of the staff throwing bowls.

The body and soul is an absolute institution. Anyone who is nearby should plan a visit. An absolute cult restaurant. Roast pork is a classic that is cooked to a high standard.

Great food and atmosphere, service a bit slow at times

Ate here last week, possibly my favorite meal on my visit to Germany! Friendly and helpful staff, warm atmosphere, and great food!

It's a very nice Bavarian restaurant. It is located away from the city at the English Garden. It's quiet and not overcrowded with tourists.

Die Reservierung war chaotisch. Die Buchung war nicht existent. Wir haben einen anderen Tisch bekommen. Sonst war alles ok.

Come and eat here only if you speak German. Reservation with The Fork, confirmed but not taken into consideration by the restaurant. Difficulty ordering: for us the courses were "finished" and difficulty communicating in both English and Italian...until the moment of payment. They spoke Italian for the bill and asking for a tip.

Came here excited to try some authentic German food, but our group of 6 (Americans) was placed in the back and then basically ignored by our waiter. Waited 45 minutes and then we just got the bill for our coffee and found food elsewhere. Would not recommend for tourists!

Eating and drinking in a cozy restaurant with friendly service and delicious food was good for body and soul

A table was booked at lunchtime via OpenTable, when we arrived at the restaurant we were told we didn't have a reservation (even though I showed it, I was told 3 hours in advance that this was probably no longer possible, ah that of course makes sense... I almost had to apologize for that 😅). After a short discussion, we were given (oh surprise, the “last” one, of course) a free and uncomfortable seat in the middle aisle, where neither we nor the neighboring table could eat properly because no one really came by (not even the nice staff). In case I haven't mentioned it yet, the entire staff was very unfriendly from start to finish and didn't give the impression that they were happy to serve the guests, and there was no apology for the circumstances (funny insert: the neighboring table also had to leave because of a "reservation problem “Turn around and have your Kaiserschmarrn at the bar, that was really amazing, dear friends 😂). The food was average at best, the Wiener Schnitzel was a better pork schnitzel and the sauerbraten with red cabbage was a floating feast along with the “sauce”. After the beers were empty, the staff walked past it in a very businesslike manner, but they didn't ask for a new round (even several times) (after all, you can't force your dear friends to sell). The theater play was quickly over after a good hour, we paid in no time and left the restaurant into the beautiful outside area where, thank God, we found a better place afterwards.

Never as unfriendly as today September 27th. Was turned away by a service employee at 8:10 p.m. When asked if there was still a table for two, only an unfriendly "No.", no "please wait" or "when?" Just "No."

Hatte einen Tisch mittags über OpenTable gebucht, im Restaurant angekommen hieß es wir hätten keine Reservierung (obwohl ich diese ja vorgezeigt habe, hierfür musste ich mich fast schon entschuldigen😅). Anschließend haben wir einen ungemütlichen Platz im Mittelgang erhalten wo weder wir richtig essen konnten, noch irgendjemand vom Nachbartisch vorbeikam. Das ganze Personal war von Anfang bis Ende leider sehr unfreundlich und hat auch nicht den Eindruck erweckt die Gäste gerne zu bewirten, eine Entschuldigung für die Umstände ist unterblieben (der Nachbartisch musste wohl auch wegen einem „Reservierungsproblem“ umsetzen und seinen Kaiserschmarrn an der Bar einnehmen, das geht gar nicht liebe Freunde!). Das Essen war allenfalls Durchschnitt, das Wiener Schnitzel war ein besseres Schweineschnitzel und der Sauerbraten mit Blaukraut war ein schwimmendes Festspiel mit der Sauce. Nachdem die Biere leer waren hat man das mehrmals gesehen und ist ganz gschaftlich dran vorbeigelaufen aber für eine neue Runde wurde nicht nachgefragt (man kann die lieben Freunde ja auch nicht zu Umsatz zwingen aber gut). Das Theaterspiel war dann auch relativ schnell erledigt, in Windeseile zahlten wir und verließen das Lokal in das wunderschöne Draußen wo wir Gott sei Dank noch ein besseres Plätzchen gefunden haben.

Wanted to have breakfast with a Neotaste 2 for 1 voucher. After arriving and waiting 20 minutes for the unfriendly conditions, we asked whether the two-person breakfast for €28 was included at half price, which was answered in the affirmative. When we paid we noticed that it was stated on the bill as €18. We didn't think so crazy because the food itself was good and since we came out with a cappuccino and extra bread for €28, I wanted to round it up to €30 with a tip. The fact that I later saw on my cell phone that the waitress had deducted €35 ​​from my card (which of course I didn't check when paying) is really just criminal and cannot be excused by any typos on the card machine. It seems as if someone wanted to enrich themselves from us and smelled easy money. As I said, the food itself was good, but we honestly won't be coming back because of crap like that!

The restaurant and beer garden are wonderful. The food was delicious. But the service was disappointing. The spritz almost spilled out when served. Too bad.

This place is a real discovery! Not only the food is delicious but they have the best waiter in town! Gasi (Gazment) is super efficient and friendly, he also welcomes you with charm and treats clients with so much grace. Mostly local clients but they communicate in English and other languages. They have English Menu and the tap beer is phenomenal. Dear restaurant owners you better take care of your staff, they are one of kind or some else will do it for you in another restaurant
