World-class food, child-friendly with children's menus, friendly service, got a table on Friday evening despite no reservation

The food, being purely organic, is understandably a bit pricey. You'll think twice about whether to come once or twice a month. But the quality and taste were truly excellent. The staff were also friendly and accommodating. And it's true: It was (so far) the best schnitzel in Munich.

Good food, decent ambiance, so-so service. Everything took a very long time, even when the place wasn't that busy anymore. They forgot the bill and brought it back 20-30 minutes later. The food was good, but not very good. €21.90 for nothing more than decent spinach and cheese spaetzle is quite a lot. The ambiance was okay, at least outdoors, but nothing special. Overall, the service and the excessive price are the main reasons for the two-star deduction.

We arrived as the kitchen was closing, but they still welcomed us with great warmth. The food was good and organic, but pricey, like in the rest of the city. The place is unique; it feels like a trip back in time.

The five of us, standing in the rain outside, four of us not going to eat organic. Two hours later, when are we going back? Haha, German, Beyers, and delicious.

The dishes were all delicious (side salads, schnitzel, goulash, sausages with sauerkraut, apple strudel, Bavarian cream). The service was excellent, really friendly, fast, everything was top-notch. The prices are a bit steep, though. I don't know if organic justifies everything, but even the schnitzel at the Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg costs €4 less.

A restaurant we've been visiting for many years. Especially with our kids, it's one of our favorite places, where everyone can enjoy a relaxed meal together. We've rarely experienced such a warm welcome. Thank you for everything!

The food is okay. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the selection is satisfactory. Unfortunately, service is a bit slow, and some investment could be made in the furniture and bathroom facilities.

We celebrated a birthday in a small group. The food was delicious, and the service was very good and friendly. We really enjoyed the Gröstl (small German schnitzel), schnitzel, and the lukewarm chocolate cakes... The meat was from Hermannsdorfer, so it was top-quality organic produce and well worth the price. We sat comfortably outside - fantastic!

I expected more from the atmosphere. Everything was too simple, and the atmosphere wasn't pleasant enough. The food is okay, although the value for money is questionable.

A superbly quaint and traditional restaurant. Unfortunately, we were there with a large group on a very hot summer day. Unfortunately, the ventilation wasn't adequate, so it got quite stuffy. Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht! Wir waren schon öfter hier, fanden es immer recht teuer, aber auch gut. Heute hatten wir u.a. das Wiener Schnitzel, natürlich vom Kalb für 41,90 mit Salat und Bratkartoffeln. Wirklich kein Schnäppchen, auch wenn man weiß, dass Bio-Fleisch viel teurer sein muss, als sonstiges. Das Schnitzel war am Anfang ganz ok, aber mehr sicher nicht. Dann waren manche Stellen zäh, sehnig. Wir hätten es bei dem Preis zurück gehen lassen sollen. Unser Fehler. Wir haben es dann leider erst beim Bezahlen der Rechnung geäußert. Unser Fehler. Dennoch: bei diesen Preisen muss andere Qualität geboten werden.

I had a roasted pork with 2 kinds of dumpling as well as one helles beer and one red wine. Taste of beer is no doubt because it is German beer and red wine is also good one recommended by a staff. The roasted pork was quite fantastic both meet itself and source. I think it is worthwhile to try. The staffs are working quickly and professionally that made me very comfortable. I will visit again if I have a chance to come to this area.

Cuisine: Delicious food, better elsewhere and not as basic. The prices are really at the limit, and the wait time was almost an hour. Service: Unfortunately, this evening, there was only a table and plate delivery, clearing, and cashier service, with no greeting or farewell. Conclusion: A disappointing first and therefore last visit. The hype is incomprehensible.

Der Klinglwirt bietet eigentlich sehr gute traditionelle bayerische Küche in Bio Qualität. Das hat seinen Preis, der erheblich über den vergleichbarer Lokale in Haidhausen liegt. Leider ist das Personal derart inkompetent, dass allein das Warten auf eine Begrüßung und das Anbieten eines Tisches zum Gnadenamt wird obwohl die Tische nicht alle besetzt sind und die Bedienung gelangweilt herumsteht, würd man als Gast weder begrüßt noch bekommt man einen Tisch angeboten. Man wird einfach ignoriert, es wird an einem vorbeistilziert ohne Begrüßung und so wartet man auf den Gnadenamt, bemerkt zu werden und einen der freien Tische angeboten zu bekommen oft vergeblich. So ging es uns inzwischen schon zum wiederholten Mal. Und irgendwann wendet sich der Gast genervt ab und sucht sich bei der Konkurrenz einen Platz, wo man sich willkommen fühlt. Schade, das Essen wäre ja wirklich fein, aber diese mindestens unprofessionelle Behandlung muss man wirklich bei diesen Preisen nicht dulden. Uns sehr ihr sogleich nicht mehr.

Very disappointing. There were 5.6 small pieces of meat floating in the beer goulash, all carelessly presented. The same can be said about the goat cheese salad, bland and cafeteria-level. The quality does not correspond to the price level.

This is a small boutique style restaurant, had local organic food full of flavour with out standing service, and great beer. We were in Munich for a full seven days and it says a lot as the team visited twice for the right reasons. I would highly recommend this as a great experience. Enjoy.

Restaurant with typical Bavarian cuisine. We booked a table for 5 people and they sat us on a small table, so we were a little cramped. Very friendly waitress. very slow service, we waited more than an hour to eat. Very good food.

Five stars from the bottom of my heart! We were at the Klingelwirt for the first time the day before yesterday – and we loved it so much that we came back the next evening! The food is not only organic and high quality, but prepared with so much love that you can taste it in every bite. Yesterday everything was fantastic again – fresh, creative and beautifully prepared. I would especially like to thank you for the fact that our spontaneous reservation change was received in such a friendly and uncomplicated manner. The entire team is warm, attentive and authentic - you simply feel comfortable and welcome. For us, the Klingelwirt is a place to enjoy, arrive and feel good all around. Thank you for this special experience – we will definitely be back!

Fluctuated slightly between 3 ⭐️ and 4⭐️. The ambiance and service deserve a 4⭐️, but the food, at least on the occasion of my visit, did not. I had the venison ragout, the other two had the beautifully presented roast pork in varying portion sizes (see photos). The venison ragout made from local game fell well short of expectations. The visual presentation was rather mediocre, and the ragout was too dry, with very little flavor of its own. If I were a Swabian, the side dish, the homemade organic spaetzle, would have been embarrassing. Not at all creamy, and bland in taste. I ate it all rather listlessly. The other two, however, enjoyed their roast pork. The sauces served with it were not artificially enhanced, as is so often the case. When I tasted it, I realized that the roast pork also tasted a bit too dry and a little stringy. I've had much better experiences in ordinary restaurants. There, you can get it for as little as €14; here, depending on the portion size, it costs between €23.90 and €36.90. My affogato for dessert was also a disappointment. I didn't try the other two desserts. They looked good, though. Conclusion: It's reasonable to suspect that although very good raw materials, such as those from the Hermannsdorfer Landwerkstätten (a local farm), are used, they are not processed optimally in the kitchen. Perhaps, because everything is organic, the operators are somewhat forgiving. The hype, also driven by the SZ newspaper, is not entirely justified, especially considering the prices.

The food was very tasty. I had the goulash, which was super tender and tasty. The salad with it was also good. The lemonade was delicious and the chocolate mousse from the season menu was also a dream. The service was quick and friendly. It's great that many dishes are offered in different sizes. So I had the small position with “only” one bread dumpling. That was easily enough. Unfortunately, since we were there with company, I didn't take any photos of the food.

The three of us ate at the Klingelwirt and overall had a very pleasant evening. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff friendly and attentive. I had the roast pork, which tasted good, but unfortunately a little dry. Personally, the gravy was too thin for me - I usually like it to be a bit thicker. It wasn't bad, but I would have expected a little more for the price. My friend had the Kasspatzen and was thrilled – nice and cheesy and perfectly seasoned. I personally had the medium dish, which was a bit too rich for me personally, but my friend was able to finish it without any problems. Apart from the small criticism of the roast pork, everything was great. The ingredients seemed fresh, the dishes were made with love, and the portions were definitely generous. I would come back, maybe next time I'll try something different from the menu!

Ordered turkey in a pepper cream sauce with noodles (small portion). I was informed about half an hour after ordering that they were out of noodles. No good substitutes. Chose Bratkartoffeln (fried potatoes). Ask the waitress to keep the Bratkartoffeln separate from the pepper cream sauce because I thought it would clash. When the food finally arrived about one hour after ordering, everything was swimming on the same plate. This is not a discount restaurant but quite pricey, and I expected better and more friendly service. The pepper cream sauce comprised 90% of the entrée and there was almost no turkey. Very disappointed. I was then overcharged for a large portion after ordering small. The waitress was not pleasant or apologetic in the least. The atmosphere is nice. The entrée was much too expensive for what I got. And not satisfying in the least. Very disappointed, had high expectations.

If you want to go to a typical Bavarian restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, but have vegetarians/vegans with you, this is the right place for you. Our group ordered everything from meat to fish to vegan and vegetarian and we were all happy. Even a weekend reservation for a larger group of seven people was no problem.

Organic Bavarian Bombastic for 20 years. Portions so big that you think grandma meant too well.

The ambience in the Klinglwirt is typically Bavarian rustic, but it doesn't seem exaggerated. The service is very courteous and friendly. The menu is not overly crowded and the majority of the meat products used come from the people of Hermannsdorf. Everything is offered in organic quality. The roast pork here is served without a crust and is a really, really good piece of meat. The potato dumpling was very good, but I found the bread dumpling to be too firm. The sauce is unbound, which I think is very good. The chef could have been a little bolder when it came to seasoning, but that is also a matter of taste. All in all, a worthwhile visit.

Leger, lockere Wirtschaft mit freundlichem Personal. Innenbereich: ehemals altes Lokal neu gestrichen, aktuell weihnachtlich dekoriert, dies aber wenig attraktiv, sondern unstrukturiert. Preisgestaltung: gut, das Biofleisch ist vom Herrmannsdorfer, also guter Ruf, was die Qualität betrifft. Aber der kleine Schweinebraten kostet 23,90, Spinatkäsespätzle kleine Portion 18.90 etc. das sind auch in München gehobene Preise und dafür erwarte ich mehr als durchschnittliche Hausmannskost, das passt nicht! Auch der Nachtisch in Form von 2 Nocken Lebkuchenmousse mit Zwetschgenkompott, dargebracht auf kleinem schlichten weißen Tellerchen liegt mit 10,90 unter Niveau. Anscheinend rechtfertigt das Wort BIO, welches mindestens 200x in der Karte vorkommt, alles.

Delicious all organic, or “BIO”, restaurant that seriously has the freshest ingredients. This was definitely the best schnitzel in town, even better than Andy’s Krablergarten. We had a goulash made of venison, mind blowing. And then just the simple sauerkraut alone was perfectly tangy and sour and possibly the best sauerkraut we had in all of Munich as well. The most surprising part of the meal was the organic red wine which we’ve never had good experience with… we ordered two. A must eat if you’re in town.

Christmas party with probably the worst Eating for years. The chestnut soup was a vinegar broth, the main courses were inferior. The butcher's products also didn't taste good. Service very good and friendly. Maybe the regular menu is better

Starters (soup and salad) were really very good. The main course was unfortunately too salty, both the roast pork and the dumplings. However, the coleslaw was very good. The dessert (apple strudel) was so sweet that one bite was enough. The strudel no longer seemed really fresh. The vanilla sauce had a slimy consistency and was really unappetizing. The sensation of the evening was the service. I have rarely experienced something so unpleasant. She is obviously unfamiliar with greeting, and her willingness to take the order was communicated non-verbally by conspicuously positioning herself next to the table and pulling out her notepad. She didn't want to or couldn't clear the plates, so we just put our dishes on the neighboring table. And she only came to pay after I called the restaurant. No fun. Of course, she couldn't say whether it was tasty or not. It was also unpleasant that a guest stood at the door every 20 minutes and smoked so much that everyone moved into the dining room. Of course the waitress wasn't interested in that either. She couldn't say goodbye either. She was probably mad at me because I only tipped 20 cents. Regardless, I'm sure I won't do that to myself again.

It calls itself "Bavarian" but doesn't offer Bavarian cuisine. Rather, it makes it organic in modern German. There isn't even sausage salad. So I only ordered roasted potatoes (which they call "fried potatoes"), but they weren't served even after 45 minutes. So I left. The beer is Löwenbräu, not exactly Bavarian either. And the service is definitely great. The crowning finale was the cockroach that crawled around on my table, under the eyes of the cashier, who didn't say a word about it, let alone act. A no-go! Stay away from this place!

Excellent restaurant in Munich for German organic cuisine. The atmosphere is a little quieter than in other restaurants, but very cozy and the service is very attentive. The venison goulash was super good, the spaetzle was also exceptional. We had a good evening and will come back.

Beautiful Bavarian inn where you can get almost all organic food. Beautiful, hearty home-style cooking and Bavarian delicacies are of course the main focus. My all-time favorite is the classic roast pork, simply great. Plus super friendly service staff and a beautiful location. It's (almost naturally) not the cheapest restaurant, but the food, service and ambience are worth it to me.

Typical Munich inn with a Bavarian menu even in organic quality. The restaurant pursues a sustainable strategy that is worth emulating, so that the food is served almost exclusively in organic quality. Our dishes are to be recommended and the service staff were extremely quick and attentive.
