Very good indian food. The service is great and very relaxed and childfriendly. Our kids would love to visit the restaurant again.

We ordered empanadas with meat to take away, but later it turned out that they were vegetable. The cooks worked and served food without gloves.

A reservation from December 13th, 2025 for December 25th, 2025 was canceled by email "today", i.e. on the day of the restaurant visit at 1:38 p.m. Reason: none. Unbelievable! Good thing we found a table in another restaurant!

Poor value for money, run-of-the-mill food, and very unfriendly, arrogant service. Perhaps someone could help on Sundays? Unfortunately, we can't recommend it.

Everything's too expensive, it's never open, and the baby is annoying. Where's Jan-Erik? But the coffee is stable.

Quite nicely decorated and a young, friendly clientele – but that's where it ends on a positive note. Pizza rolls swimming in the dressing of the decorative salad, with the undersides correspondingly disgustingly slimy, extra cheese in the burger that wasn't there at all, then only partially melted, and was still used very sparingly. The crowning glory of this unspeakable dining experience was a long hair in the burger. We did get new pizza rolls (again with salad, even though we specifically ordered it away, but at least without the dressing), but no apology, not even the smallest discount, or a free drink to make up for the hair in the burger, which really spoiled our appetites. This place and we at least share one thing – everyone involved is surely glad never to see each other again. We would recommend giving the restaurant a wide berth, where we unfortunately also celebrated our 50th birthdays.

The taste was also great. I needed to add salt and I prefer a little bit hotter. But maybe salt is just right for you. The atmosphere, the posters was amazing. I have a new place where I could bring my guests and clients confidently. I ate a mega burger, 339 gram meat which is 18.50 Euro. The portion and the price is a match in my opinion. I was hungry and it was big enough to fulfill me. I want to come back to taste the other options and the rib eye steak🥩 P.S. I am a very well eater

Pretty good food if you find yourself in Heidelberg late!!!

Unfortunately our experiences weren't so good, there were very long waiting times for the food on Friday evening, unfortunately there was also a lot of confusion at the tables, in some cases the wrong dishes were brought to the tables. The service really tried, but was ultimately overwhelmed. The food itself was mostly quite good when it was finally brought properly. So we won't come again. P.S. An espresso or schnapps on the house would actually have been a nice gesture.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right at all. €9.90 for a thin slice of apple strudel with three plums and a drizzle of whipped cream is absolutely excessive. We indulged in this since they don't serve cake. We can't comment on the main courses, but the other desserts and the salad were also very modest in quantity, and the price was very reasonable. Thanks to the friendly service and the ambiance, it still gets stars...

Really Excellent food, very nice ambiance. Reasonable prices. I haighly recommend the place.

This evening, four of us (four women) dined at the Wirtshaus zum Spreisel. The service was very friendly, the food was excellent, and we felt completely at home. We can only recommend it wholeheartedly!
