Gino’s in Heidelberg

Unfortunately, Gino's in Heidelberg could not fully meet my expectations. Although the location in the old town is very convenient, the service left a lot to be desired - the waitress seemed stressed and inattentive. The food was okay, but not exceptional: the tacco was well topped, but a bit bland in taste, and the dough could have been crispier. You also had to look for the minced meat. It used to be different! The waiting time was also relatively long despite moderate crowds. Overall, I would have expected more for the prices. I give it 3 out of 5 stars."

We came across the shop today by chance during our spontaneous and first visit to Heidelberg. The food is delicious, the service and staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting and the prices are perfectly reasonable. Clean, quiet and tidy. We came out full and satisfied and would come back at any time! 😊👍🏻

We have been there for lunch on Sunday the 24th of November. Order was taken and a nice guy with very good English who told us to sit down outside and that the food would have been brought to our a table. In spite of that, after a few minutes the man on his 60s at the counter waves at me asking to collect the food...despite an employee beside there was not buy... I was not given a tray and I had to do two trips to bring the plates to my table!!! Food was ok but nothing special. When we were leaving the same man started to complain and moan because we did not return our plates to the counter inside!! Unbelievable ! Avoid this place and this awful service but if you decide to go be careful because you might be even asked to wash your plate at the end of your meal!!!

If you want to eat something similar to kebab, you've come to the wrong place. We ate ready-made yufka dough, but it didn't taste like anything. It was really disappointing for us. The place is nice, but we didn't like the food that we ate as a group of 6 people.

Today we ordered from this restaurant. 1 pizza, fajita and a special chicken wrap with mozzarella. It was really, really bad. The mozzarella was dry. The pizza and all other dishes were very cold. If you don't want your money to go to waste, stay away. If you can't work with Uber, don't take jobs everywhere. And if the distance is too great, don't even accept the order. We'll complain to Uber.

Were today on November 30th. with Gino. Great food as always!!! But always leaving the door open when it's 5 degrees isn't possible. Closed the door myself three times and complained twice to the now very moody boss. But it didn't really matter and kept opening the door. What an arrogant ignoramus. Leaves people out in the cold. Definitely never coming back.

Gino is always worth a stop. The tacos taste good, especially the meat mix or the taco special. The staff is usually always friendly to us and we feel like we are in good hands. However, I'd rather take the taco with me than sit in it.

Before talking about the food, the people working there were rude As we entered, he started screeming at us, we didn't understand why, They took some time to clean the tabel, he screemed at us again to take our order... We should've left at the very beginning.. idk why we stayed.. The food was edible, not mexican, the only good thing is that it is not expensive, 3 of us ate for 20 euros.... not recommend

From the outside, the restaurant makes a very pleasant and tidy impression. However, upon entering we were neither greeted nor greeted with a friendly “Hello”. We were served straight away, which is generally positive. However, I emphasized several times that I only wanted my kebab with green salad, onions and spicy, while the other kebab was ordered with everything but no spiciness. Unfortunately we got exactly the opposite: My kebab had everything and was spicy, the other one only had lettuce and onions, but not spicy. Despite repeating it several times, our order was carried out incorrectly. The meat was very dry and the amount of sauce was too small for the above average price. In addition, the portions were smaller than expected, so we weren't really full. The interior of the restaurant is very attractive, but unfortunately the maintenance is lacking. I had to sit on a damaged seat, which further spoiled the overall impression.

Taco special was very tasty, the fries were also great and everything was perfect. Unfortunately, the toilet wasn't very clean and the tables hadn't been cleaned yet, so you should pay attention to that.

You can get everything under the sun at Gino's. I chose the tortilla. Actually the exact same content as a classic Dürum, just different bread. I don't know what's supposed to be Mexican here... The taste of the tortilla was good, but unfortunately it had a very bitter aftertaste, could be due to the salad and significantly worsened the entire taste experience. All in all, an okay store but nothing outstanding!

Was really excited to see all the "Mexican food" on the menu but turned out they have no clue what they're doing. Burrito is a large Taco. Taco is the size of a burrito. Fajita is the same as a Taco and a burrito. None of them taste how they should, nor do they contain what they are supposed to. The place was clean but empty and the staff was friendly.

They forgot my order and I waited 15 minutes. They are not excused. As for the food, my god it's salty.

Evaluation is difficult. Very nice staff. The last time I was here was 20 years ago and I could tell the food here from any other. The tacos were unique and that's what differentiated the food here from any kebab joint in this city. Now 2024 the food will be wrapped in regular wraps. It's still fine, but it's lost its uniqueness.

Very tasty Mexican food (gives the impression of a kebab snack bar) but when you enter the location there are a few tables in the next room with a cozy atmosphere, and above all the food is freshly prepared. The service is friendly and you don't have to wait long until you get the food you ordered. The toilets are also clean.

Food wasn't to my taste. Next time I'll go to the Turkish restaurant and eat good Dürüm, it's tasty and cheaper. Service was very bad, there was no service. Had to get food and clean up myself, don't know what the service was like 🤔 Ambiance was standard. Of course it was my impression that everyone should have their own experience. Personally, I didn't like the service or food; for the price in the middle of Heidelberg, my expectations were a bit high.
