Es war wieder einmal ein sensationeller Abend bei Robert, Philipp und Leis im „Oben“. Dreizehn phantastische Kombinationen mit hervorragenden Produkten aus der Region zubereitet, die nichtalkoholische Getränkebegleitung sucht ihres gleichen. Leis im Service macht einen hervorragenden Job und war immer unaufdringlich präsent und locker. Robert und Philipp in der Küche über die Schulter sehen zu können ist immer wieder ein besonderes Erlebnis und der „Schweinewedel“ darf natürlich auch nicht fehlen. Es war ein wunderschöner entspannter Abend mit netten Gesprächen und wir freuen uns sehr euch nächstes Jahr wieder besuchen zu dürfen. Tausend Dank an euch dreien.

The seating is very comfortable and I find the distance between the tables to be extremely decent. There you don't get the feeling of having an evening meal like cucumbers in a can. Not only was the attentive staff the absolute bestseller during my visit, but also the great ambience. I was absolutely positively surprised. We will all definitely appear again. Everything here tastes delicious. The portions are an attractive and filling size.

On a windy but sunny day in Heidelberg, my buddy and I were looking for a place for good conversation, delicious beer and excellent BBQ. We found what we were looking for in the monastery courtyard and experienced a culinary adventure in a class of its own. The “Guerrilla Menu” offered a variety of BBQ specialties, complemented by additional portions of beef ribs. The friendly employee gave interesting insights into the preparation and aroused anticipation for future creations with the reference to a beefer. The spareribs were the absolute highlight. Perfectly prepared, without disturbing bones and with a harmonious combination of sauce and spices. The shine of the sauce was a visual delight, the taste unsurpassed. The pulled pork impressed with its juiciness and spicy note, especially in combination with the coleslaw. The only point of criticism: the consistency could have been a little coarser and the BBQ sauce could have been more subtle. The brisket was tender, juicy and slightly peppery. Although the smoke ring was not complete, the taste was completely convincing. The beef ribs impressed with their full meat flavor, perfect seasoning and a sticky, delicious glaze. The attached bone skin was the only small flaw. The side dishes, especially the surprisingly good coleslaw, rounded out the menu. The rolls were fine, freshly baked focaccia would be a welcome addition. Overall, the Klosterhof offers BBQ at the highest level. For "Texas BBQ" lovers, a little more heat could be offered. However, the quality and taste are unmatched in the region. The Klosterhofbräu's stout beer proved to be the perfect accompaniment. You are guaranteed to come back to try the other specialties such as feta and chicken pieces. The BBQ experience in the Klosterhof is definitely worth recommending and caused envious looks from the other guests.
