Fantastic Lebanese/oriental food. Some of the best Fallafel I've had, the shwarma is nice too, but their mixed platter is honestly a collection of pure goodness!!! A+ would recommend.

Akam's in Heidelberg is simply fantastic! Fresh, delicious food, generous portions, and a friendly team. The value for money is absolutely spot on – for me, it's one of the best places in the city for a truly good meal.

Good value for money. For around €7, you get a delicious wrap that's also reasonably filling. It's a great place to end the evening on the terrace with a gentle breeze after a hot summer day.

One of the few restaurants in Heidelberg where you don't feel ripped off.

The quality was quite good at first, but unfortunately it's steadily declining. The meat is too dry, the rice isn't fresh, and there are fewer sauces on the plate, but everything is getting more and more expensive. There are no suitable portions for children.

Delicious food – we had the Akam's special platter, as per the reviews – and found it to be very flavorful and reasonably priced. The food was prepared right in front of us, which is great – there's nothing to hide. We'll be back next time we're in Heidelberg.

Highly recommended! I had a special chicken dish, which was incredibly delicious. Everything is prepared with fresh ingredients. It was one flavor explosion after another... Everything was very clean... and the staff was friendly.

Located 2 minutes walk from our hotel, we just had to have our evening meal here! Excellent food with lots of vegan choices! I had the baba ganoush falafels and lentil soup. Full of flavour and very filling! Excellent value for money too.

The Akams is located in an industrial district of Heidelberg, not far from the main train station. The first impression of this Arabic restaurant was absolutely great: very nice design, super clean and tidy, from the counter to the toilet. The arrangement of the food at the counter immediately whetted our appetite for delicious Arabic specialties. Even though there were a few customers in line ahead of me, I got there quickly and my fresh shawarma was handed out to me quickly. Unfortunately it wasn't quite my taste, probably because I'm used to a different way of preparing it. Therefore a point deduction. Nevertheless, I will go back and try other dishes - I couldn't decide what to order from all the good looking treats. It's definitely worth trying out, I've heard it's the best Arabic restaurant in Heidelberg... :) Addendum: I've been here two more times now and have to say: the Akams special plate, whether veggie or not, is absolutely recommended!

Unfortunately a very disappointing order from Akams Heidelberg. We had looked at the homepage on the Internet in advance because we wanted to order vegetarian food for a birthday. According to the homepage, a vegetarian plate (Akam's special plate vegetarian) costs 10 euros per person. We ordered the record by phone in advance and arranged a pickup time. The record was not ready at the agreed time. I was told she needed another 10 minutes. In total I had to wait almost 30 minutes. Uber eats drivers who arrived after me received their orders before me. Among other things, a large record like ours. The reason given was that they had unfortunately forgotten my order. The next nasty surprise was the price. I didn't have to pay 10 euros per person for my plate as I thought, but 15. The amount entered in the cash register was 13 euros and then somehow rounded up to 15 euros. When I asked the cashier about it, he gave me a flimsy explanation that that was the price. I didn't receive a receipt. Since we needed food for the guests and I had already lost a lot of time, I grudgingly paid for the plate and took it with me. I thought it was a shame that no goodie or discount was given for the unreasonable waiting time. About the food: the falafel on the platter was really tasty. But a lot of other ingredients were saved. There was so little halloumi on the plate that not every guest could even get a piece. The board was also tight in other respects. There were almost only women in attendance and so the creams were just enough. The flatbread, the fried vegetables and the halloumi mentioned were quickly empty. For the price I definitely had different expectations and I didn't think the way I was treated in the store was okay despite having pre-ordered it. Not recommended.

A very nice atmosphere, extremely delicious food and an extremely friendly and attentive team - including the boss. I can only recommend eating here or just trying it out. You feel like you're at home.

The food was great and the falafel was delicious with great side dishes. The restaurant is self-ordering, simply furnished and clean. A lot of items are also picked up there for people taking away from home. We ate there twice and it was consistently delicious. We'll be back!

The selection of dishes is large and the price-performance ratio is absolutely harmonious. Everything tastes fresh, well seasoned and is perfectly balanced. I chose the Akams special plate, and I was not disappointed. The chicken was tender, juicy and excellently seasoned. The homemade creams that went with it were simply delicious and rounded off the dish perfectly. Overall, I can only praise the food, service and value for money. It was a very tasty dinner and I will definitely come back.

A culinary delight all around. We had the vegetarian special plate. Overall, very pleasant atmosphere: Pleasant and friendly service, aesthetic furnishings, a large selection of dishes (including many vegetarian and vegan dishes) and also more than run-of-the-mill drinks (Ayran, Fritz Limos, homemade mint tea, club, mate, and much more)! Food is prepared freshly and hygienically, a lot of it is home-made, lots of fresh vegetables, very nicely and skilfully arranged on the plates. Great value for money! And, last but not least: it tastes excellent and is very filling - also on an energetic level (speaks for the good quality of the ingredients). A feast for all senses! The stars are absolutely deserved and I'm already looking forward to the next time! Thanks!

Schwarma Wrap was very tasty in terms of taste, but very plain and without much depth and had no taste peaks. In my opinion, it was very similar to the wraps in the supermarket. There is definitely no music in the restaurant. All in all it seems a little cold.

The food is amazing! Everything was super tasty, freshly prepared. The only drawback is that you have to get your own dish from the counter. Ordering is ok, bringing it to the table would be great since you don't know which one is yours. :)
