I was passing through and ate a very tasty kebab there. The whole thing was full of meat and salad and only cost €6. In our area the kebab costs €8-9. I can recommend this kebab shop to everyone. Until next time :)

Solid kebab right on Bismarckplatz. Very inexpensive, in contrast to most other kebabs in Heidelberg. The meat is good, seared nicely and the salad seems fresh. The service was reserved but friendly. Overall, a clear recommendation!

Underground service As a local guide, I share our experience at Babylon in Heidelberg. We wanted to get our salad and meat on one plate. However, the employee insisted on putting it in a box even though we made it clear several times that we wanted it on a plate. To make matters worse, two of his colleagues came along who also didn't understand anything. When I asked again if I could get it on a plate and how much it cost, he just replied coldly: "It's right there." After this outrageous treatment we left. They will never get a single euro from us and we will definitely pass this experience on to friends and family.

Decent kebab right next to Bismarckplatz, you can definitely do it if you happen to be there. Prices are pleasant.

Just given a cheap napkin. When I wanted more, the employees were very unfriendly. When we wanted tea the staff were extremely unfriendly and we didn't get any tea. We only got the fries when we had already finished eating and only after repeated requests.

Ja der imbiss ist nicht der schönste, aber die Qualität war heute sehr gut. Wir haben Hähnchen döner und falafel Pommes Box gegessen und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Brot backen die evtl selbst auf, es war noch sehr heiß und lecker. Wir kommen wieder.

We got delicious kebabs here late on Sunday afternoon.

Ich esse schon seit Jahrzehnten regelmäßig vegetarischen Yufka in verschiedenen Döner-Läden und ich finde das Babylon o.k. Hier kostet der vegetarische Yufka noch 4 Euro während andere Döner Läden die Inflation schamlos ausnutzen und mittlerweile 6-7 Euro verlangen für ein bisschen Salat im Brot. Das Personal ist trotz großem Stress und Andrang freundlich und geht auf meine Wünsche ein. Wenn ich Extra-Wünsche hab, gebe ich natürlich ein bisschen mehr Geld bzw. Trinkgeld. Leider gibt es kein Bulgur, der Salat ist auch relativ einfach, aber dafür gibt es leckere Knoblauch- oder Hummus Cremes. Das Ambiente ist nicht so toll, schlichte Einrichtung, aber mir ist es wichtiger, dass das Personal freundlich und das Essen bei akzeptablen Preis gut ist.

Falafel wrap and Chicken Döner are my all-time favourites and go to dinner here. The falafel wrap is quite big and you get fresh bread and falafel inside it. Being Indian, we like spicy food, so the cook makes it spicy for us which is an important factor. And the best part is that it is open till late somedays so it becomes a life-saver too.

We spent 3 days in Heidelberg and just happened to stumble across this place right around the corner from our hotel. What a great find! There are 2 restaurants side by side (the other is bei Baumhaus) that are owned by the same gentleman. During our three days there we saw no need to go anywhere else for lunch or dinner. While we didn’t try anything aside from pizza at this restaurant (because it was one the best we’ve ever had) I am confident that the same would hold true for anything on the menu. We had salads, burgers and fries from the neighbouring restaurant and the food there was also excellent. The owner always came out to greet us and ensure that we were satisfied. He is the most pleasant man and while our German is pretty much non-existent, we managed to communicate our love of the food and service to him. On our last night there we tried to tip him but he respectfully declined. And the price! Where we are from these items would be at least twice the price. These restaurants are away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town but well worth a visit. Try either one, or both, you won’t be disappointed. A happy Canadian traveller😊

Bin in den Mittagspausen immer wieder gerne hier. Das Essen ist lecker, die Zutaten sind frisch und man wartet nie lange. Vor allem den Yufka kann ich nur empfehlen.

Ich habe viele Jahre einen großen Bogen um alles gemacht, was mit Döner zu tun hat. Bis ich einmal hierher eingeladen wurde: Wie schon jemand schrieb, der beste Döner in Heidelberg. Alles blitzblank sauber, frisch und einfach lecker. Preise absolut angemessen. Mittlerweile sind wir seit vielen Jahren Stammkunden, der Chef ist ein prima Kerl, gibt immer etwas Süßes für die Kinder mit. Dicke Empfehlung!
