Kebab & Pizza Babylon in Heidelberg

Man kommt rein - niemand da. Sitzt der einzige Mitarbeiter entspannt auf dem Stuhl hinten. Bin hin und hab hallo gesagt. Nach einer Minute hat er sich dann mal aufgerafft und ist nach vorne gekommen...um dann auf seinem Handy rumzumachen. Bin dann wieder gegangen.

Ich habe ihren Döner Kebab (im Brötchen, umhüllt von einem dreieckigen Papier) und Pommes probiert. Beides hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wenn ich wieder in der Gegend bin, werde ich dort wieder essen.

Der Döner ist geschmacklich und von allen Zutaten immer sehr frisch. Finde ihm am besten in Heidelberg, alles was in der Nähe ist kommt nicht dran. Verkäufer auch jederzeit freundlich gewesen

Guten Tag! Bevor ich mit Sightseeing anfing, beschloss ich, spät zu Mittag zu essen und suchte nach einem Kebab in der Nähe. Ich hatte gute Bewertungen gelesen und ging zu Kebab & Pizza Babylon. Ich bestellte Schaum und Salat. Es war lecker. Ich wünsche K&PB alles Gute!

Best döner place in Heidelberg city center. I always order falafel wrap. It is cheap but really tasty. I often come here when I am too lazy to cook but want something tasty and fast.

A small hole in the wall with big taste and friendly service. We ordered two doners to go, one spicy and one regular, from a super friendly guy who was extremely pleasant. Price was very affordable, and they were delicious. Would highly recommend if looking for a tasty, quick bite to eat!

It tasted awful. The manager was incredibly rude, and I had severe stomach pains afterward. I absolutely do not recommend it. Mangal döner is ten times better and worth the 200-meter walk.

Saw the shop while waiting for the bus and decided to get some kebap to go. Best decision - the people working there were really friendly and the food was incredibly tasty! Will definitely be back :)

The food is excellent value for money, and the owner is very nice. The kebab with its slightly spicy sauce is the highlight for me. Plenty of sauce and plenty of filling – highly recommended :)

I can fully recommend this shop. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations when I arrived, as the place didn't look particularly impressive, but we found the kebab to be truly delicious, hence the 5 stars. In my hometown, you pay €8 everywhere these days, but here it's €6.50. The kebab tastes twice as good. A definite thumbs up 👍

🤮🤮🤮 Absolutely disgusting. This place serves rotting, moldy meat disguised under layers of sauce. Even if you beg them not to add sauce, they drown it anyway — probably to hide the stench. I went back a second time thinking maybe I was wrong. Big mistake. The meat was even more rotten, with a foul, nauseating smell. I couldn’t believe they had the nerve to serve that to customers. I only ate the potatoes to avoid vomiting. This isn’t just bad food — it’s dangerous. This place should be shut down. Avoid it like the plague.

I ate a doner kebab at Babylon Kebap in Heidelberg – unfortunately, it was a very bad experience. The meat smelled strongly of mold, which is absolutely unacceptable. Even though I specifically didn't want any sauce, they added it anyway – presumably to mask the moldy smell. Even with the sauce, the smell was extremely unpleasant, and I couldn't eat the doner. Very disappointing and definitely not recommended.

we ordered döner box and normal size döner and were disappointed for its small portion and the quantity of the meat we were getting. for the price that we paid, it felt like a rip off. this place is very popular among young people so we were intrigued to try. but based on our experience, we wouldnt come back to this place

Schreckliche Erfahrung in diesem Restaurant. Der Besitzer (ein Mann mit Brille) verhielt sich eindeutig rassistisch gegenüber arabischen Gästen und behandelte sie unhöflich und respektlos. Sein unangemessenes und diskriminierendes Verhalten hat den gesamten Abend ruiniert. Ich kann diesen Ort niemandem empfehlen, der eine freundliche und respektvolle Umgebung sucht."

The kebab was really tasty, the bread in particular was a highlight - nice and crispy and tasted great! The quality of the ingredients was also great and the taste was convincing. A small point with room for improvement is the friendliness of the staff and the portion size, as a little more could be done here. Overall, a really good kebab that I would happily eat again!

The Babylon is very inconspicuous from the outside and the interior and the associated ambience are not very inviting. The quality of the advertising and menu leaves a lot to be desired. The portions of the food were very small, but the price was ok. Not bad in taste, but not good either. However, it was fresh, quickly prepared and warm. The staff was particularly excellent, as they were very friendly, helpful and professional.

The kebab and yufka are very, very good and recommended, among other things. Juicy dough freshly made and there are fresh ingredients unlike other kebab shops. The service is fine and the ambience is OK. Today I got fries with mayo on a plate, even though I wanted to take them with ketchup.

The worst kebab I've ever had. Get cold meat from the shelf below. When asked, non-fresh meat was cut off. The spicy cocktail sauce is also probably intended to replace the missing flavor. Last time

Solid kebab right on Bismarckplatz. Very inexpensive, in contrast to most other kebabs in Heidelberg. The meat is good, seared nicely and the salad seems fresh. The service was reserved but friendly. Overall, a clear recommendation!

Underground service As a local guide, I share our experience at Babylon in Heidelberg. We wanted to get our salad and meat on one plate. However, the employee insisted on putting it in a box even though we made it clear several times that we wanted it on a plate. To make matters worse, two of his colleagues came along who also didn't understand anything. When I asked again if I could get it on a plate and how much it cost, he just replied coldly: "It's right there." After this outrageous treatment we left. They will never get a single euro from us and we will definitely pass this experience on to friends and family.

Just given a cheap napkin. When I wanted more, the employees were very unfriendly. When we wanted tea the staff were extremely unfriendly and we didn't get any tea. We only got the fries when we had already finished eating and only after repeated requests.

Considering what you see in the area, fair prices. Doner box tastes good, delicious sauce, crispy fries and enough meat on it. I would go there again.

Pizza Margarita für 8,5€. Teuer für den Verhältnis. Etwas hat sehr bitter geschmeckt. Ich weiß nicht, ob es das Kräuter war. (Habe aber nur Margarita bestellt ohne Kräuter?)
