Our evening at Stories was an absolute highlight! I was particularly impressed by the ambience of the individual, creatively thought-out rooms combined with the coordinated, high-quality dishes. Wonderful idea with great food, well thought-out concept, very nice staff - it was a great evening of star food, music, art, holiday feeling.

We asked whether gluten intolerance could also be taken into account. Unfortunately, we received no response to our request in the reservation. We asked again by email and there was no response here either. We also tried to call but unfortunately there was only a telephone number in the legal notice and it was not assigned. We wrote to two other email addresses and received no response. We then canceled our reservation. We then received an email saying that you were sorry that our request was lost on you and that you could not take gluten intolerance into account. I think it is impossible that a star chef could not take this into account; rather, there is a lack of will here. It's a shame that the integration of people with intolerances into our society is not wanted here.

Great visit, great concept, we are so excited that we will definitely come again. The food is of the highest quality and the event character makes it a very special evening.

We actually had a fun evening and ate really delicious things... ... but... When you advertise with a 2-star chef (I really appreciate Boris Rommel's cuisine) then you obviously set your expectations VERY high. And that's why I unfortunately have to deduct rating stars: 1. the timing of the kitchen and the service was really weak at times. Actually, exactly the same menu is sorted every evening, which is why it's surprising that the pairing wine is served 30 minutes before the course, then at some point the plate came - and the rabbit was almost cold when it was served... and then stayed another 15 Stand on the table for minutes until the warm liquid has been poured in. People also said something like "oh, that was quick today" and more wine was poured to compensate - because everything took a really long time. 2. the bento box with the braised Wagyu something was warm, but the "sushi rice" was completely lumpy and dry. We and the Korean at the table were amazed at what was called kimchi (we wouldn't have recognized it as such without the name) My advice: if the kitchen can't keep up (like it apparently did yesterday evening), please plan fewer guests and also plan dishes that don't require another step at the table (like pouring the sauce) and that are also better suited to keeping warm/warming up. Maybe just don't set your own "gourmet" bar unnecessarily high - with a simpler, simpler meal it would have been a really well-rounded evening.

We had booked the evening with friends and were very excited about what to expect. Even the check-in was very friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the evening could begin with a good chilled glass of champagne. The small “pralines” to accompany the champagne were very tasty. All other courses were a real pleasure. I don't want to go into too much detail here so as not to reveal everything to the people who are still attending the event. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The wines excellent. The evening was a complete success for us and we would happily recommend it to others. We will definitely be there again in 2025 when there is another pop-up restaurant. Thank you very much for this lovely evening.

Our evening together at “Stories” was a perfect experience. High rooms, impressive street art, great atmosphere with coordinated lighting and music, friendly and very attentive staff and, above all, culinary high-quality dishes, it was just perfect. I would have expected the concept of Stories to be more likely in a major European city. The approach to the parking lot and the first steps into the building gave us no idea what would await us behind the black curtain. The wines and other drinks were perfectly matched to the food. And every course was also available in a vegetarian version that was very appealing in terms of appearance and taste. My culinary highlights were the monkfish, the Wagyu and of course the artfully prepared “tangerine” at the end. “Stories” was a little culinary trip around the world for us. And if you have a little interest yourself, you can't really avoid striking up a conversation with other fellow travelers. A great, culinary, entertaining evening with many surprises.

Had a very entertaining evening at Stories on the old military site on February 17, 2024. This was partly due to our table neighbors, but not only. The entire concept, including the boarding cards, was well thought out and lived up to the title “around the world”. The wine accompaniment included was valuable (e.g. Reichsrat von Buhl Sekt during “boarding”) and good. I found the food varied, exciting and delicious. Due to the concept, it is certainly a little removed from real Michelin stars in terms of food and service, but very successful. I found the environment very appealing and the furniture for a pop-up very good. For me, real value for money and a successful evening. I'm looking forward to a repeat.

So I wavered between 4 and 5 stars for a long time when rating it, but in the end I decided on 5 stars. But everything one after the other. The first thing to say is that the experience is definitely worth the money. The service is really top, and the price also includes alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks that are matched to each course. You only have to pay extra if you want different or more drinks. In addition, significantly more food and drinks were offered than described on the website. But I think you should be surprised, which is why I won't go into it in detail. But what bothered me is that the whole event has been going on for a long time and this wasn't announced on the website. All in all, we were there for a good 5 hours until all the courses were finished. The food was really good, but there were little things that bothered us, for example the rice was quite dry or the food didn't exactly match the menu.

ATTENTION: OPERATOR ATTEMPT TO PROHIBIT NEGATIVE REVIEWS! Here are my original ones. 3 year old review: We were at the 1st Stories Pop Up Kitchen in the railway signal box. We really liked that back then. It was new, it was interesting and very well done. With this positive experience, we went back to the Stories Pop up Kitchen full of anticipation. Unfortunately we were completely disappointed. At the beginning we had to queue at the bar for half an hour because there was only one bartender who interpreted his job very comfortably. Unfortunately, in our opinion, the food was subpar. I know tastes are different, but for a price of almost €90 p.a. P. was simply outrageous! Conceptless (no, it is NOT a concept to turn any games and series into strange food), over-seasoned, uncreative and incredibly lacking in inspiration (a bit of smokey flavor in almost all dishes does not make good food). Our next table (five people) got up and left during the second course. The service was also totally overwhelmed, partly. The dishes were on our tables for 10 minutes, but we weren't allowed to eat them yet and nobody knew what exactly they were because the explanations were given by other waiters than those who distributed the food. partly. These “bookmarks” were also completely forgotten. By the way, we had vegetarian once and meat/fish once. Unfortunately they weren't able to offer a meat version without fish. The drinks prices are comparatively insanely overpriced. If you compare that to really sophisticated restaurants/bars, it's crazy what you pay there. The interior consists of a few scattered colorful cubes and a ball pit in a location that is far too oversized. You can't help but get the impression that due to the short-term change of location, a replacement had to be found quickly, but unfortunately it didn't meet the requirements in all respects. There were a few carelessly chosen games. The highlight were 2 remote-controlled cars that quickly became unusable because the battery was empty. By the way, we also told the waitress personally at the end of the evening because I'm not a fan of writing reviews anonymously. But the ignoring reaction makes me write this anyway. All in all we paid €270 for a very disappointing evening. We are less disappointed by this than by the fact that a new restaurant concept that started well at the time was unfortunately ruined in such a way.

Yesterday we were at Stories “Wonderland” in Heidelberg. It was a great evening with a great wine selection, inspiring food and the friendliest service. This year's location is in a huge, abandoned shopping center. When you enter the inconspicuous entrance door, you immediately see the intention of the hosts: a rainbow behind a bar for an aperitif, a popcorn machine, huge wooden cubes in wild colors, remote-controlled Mario Karts for the guests, a ball paradise a la Ikea and nestled in between tables and chairs with beautifully set tables, the atmosphere that arises here is a mixture of excitement about what to expect and the feeling that you have discovered something here that is really cool. It starts with an amuse from a Japanese coffee machine that has been used for a different purpose, in which a boulabaisse with gamba and all sorts of things is served, great, it continued with creative courses from "Homer Simpson" to "Minions" I would say experience rather than betray, but a pastrami tuna donut I can say you should have eaten it at least once. The creativity of the operators runs like a common thread throughout the entire evening, the service is always attentive and the wine glass is never empty. Great concept, great cuisine, great service Rating: recommended

The three of us were here on a Friday evening for a birthday. We became aware of the “Stories pop-up kitchen” through a friend’s recommendation. The offered menu price of €88 (+€50 wine trip) per person raised our expectations accordingly. The welcome from two ladies was very warm, the cloakroom was taken away from us straight away and a table was assigned to us using a card. We found the concept very interesting, but unfortunately the implementation didn't convince us. The furnishings were simple but colorful. The room is very spacious and has the character of a market hall. The range of games, consisting of two remote-controlled cars, a side table full of board games and a ball pit, is original but not enough for around 50 guests. We passed the time between arrival (approx. 7 p.m.) and seating of the guests (approx. 7:30 p.m.) with an aperitif at the Rainbow Bar. The prices here are similar to hotel prices, e.g. Negroni (12€). The food itself was very original and imaginative, mostly beautifully prepared and tailored to the concept. In terms of taste, the evening was like a roller coaster ride with more lows than highs. The vegetarian depths were the repeated use of smoke and herb as well as the cucumber “smoothie”. The high points were the Simmental beef and the dessert (except the tart). On the wine trip, the price has no relation to the service (5x0.1L for €50 per person = 1.5L (2 bottles) of wine for €150). The presentation of the wine by the service was great, but exactly 0.1L was poured and not refilled, so that you sometimes had an empty glass in front of you when the course was served. The service team for the evening consisted of 3 people + bartender. During the course of the evening, one person from the service team was repeatedly taken away to take care of things. Therefore, a service that would have corresponded to the price could not be guaranteed. There were no questions about whether the food was tasty, whether you would like something to drink (e.g. an exclusive bottle of water) or whether coffee specialties were offered for dessert. The toilets were scary: there was only one working one for the ladies. There was dead silence among the men. Tip: it's better to put on an extra layer, we (2/3) were cold all evening. We missed the warmth of the reception when we said goodbye. Unfortunately, the last impression is often the lasting one. Conclusion: A visit may be worth the experience. Not recommended from a culinary point of view. Price/performance unearthly.

Waren unter der Woche dort und wurden herzlich empfangen. Noch bevor das Essen startet, kann man der tollen Rainbow Bar einen Besuch abstatten, und bspw. Flaming Homer probieren, super Idee. Das Bällebad ist top, die ferngesteuerten Autos mit Mario und Yoshi sind super. Das 5 Gänge Menü ist toll gestaltet, geschmacklich sehr gut und passt sehr gut ins Spielzeug Thema. Achtet auf die Musik im Hintergrund während der einzelnen Gänge ;)) definitv eine Empfehlung. Erstaunlich, was man mit ein bisschen Farbe aus einer leer stehenden Halle machen kann.

Wir waren begeistert. Die Raumgestaltung inkl. Musik und Licht hervorragend abgestimmt auf die Geschichte von "Alice im Wunderland - Nichts ist so wie es scheint". Die Präsentation der Speisen sehr originell; das Menü qualitativ hochwertig, alle Sinne wurden angesprochen. Der Service 1A, aufmerksam und mit Freude bei der Arbeit! Rundum ein besonderer Abend für alle Genießer, die sich gerne überraschen lassen.

Ich war mit Freunden und Kollegen Anfang Oktober im Stories und wir waren uns allesamt einig, dass die dahinter stehende Idee ausgesprochen interessant ist. Zum einen werden die Speisen jeweils individuell auf bestimmte Weisen inszeniert und somit selbst erklärend dargestellt, zum Anderen spricht die Qualität und die Art des Anrichtens der Speisen für sich selbst. Es hat nichts mit einem Varieté oder ähnlichem zu tun, bei dem das Essen eher zweitrangiger Natur ist, sondern hier steht der Genuss der Speisen im Fokus und nichts anderes. Es ist ein Konzept, auf das man sich einlassen muss, um es zu verstehen, aber es macht auf jeden Fall Spaß, es zu erleben. Um die Spannung noch ein wenig zu steigern, entschieden wir uns für die große Weinbegleitung und auch hier bleibt nichts anderes zu sagen, als: Chapeau! Die Paarungen waren in jedem Fall absolut stimmig. Der Service war aufmerksam, hat etwaige Fragen ohne Probleme beantworten können und verströmt eine nahezu mitreißende Begeisterung für das Produkt als solches. Vielen Dank für einen rundum gelungenen Abend.

Liebes ‚Stories’ - Team, leider hat sich jemand ein wenig weiter unten meinen Facebook Namen (Anna Praha) unter den Nagel gerissen und keine all zu gute Bewertung hier gelassen. Da ich selbst aus der Heidelberger Gastronomie komme, finde ich das richtig mies- denn ich gehe davon aus, dass diese Anna Praha weiter unten ein Fake Profil ist. Da ich persönlich bereits auf schlechte Bewertungen in „meinem Namen“ Anna Praha angesprochen wurde, möchte ich noch einmal klarstellen, dass keine dieser Bewertungen von mir stammt. Bis her habe ich es leider noch nicht ins Stories geschafft, ich werde aber mit Sicherheit bald vorbei kommen. Vom NEO war ich bereits total begeistert und ich freue mich auch schon auf einen Besuch bei euch. Liebe Grüße, Anna

Sensationelle Küche erfahrbar gemacht mit allen Sinnen

War cool! Sowas hat man nicht alle Tage. 2x würd ich jetzt nicht unbedingt hingehen weil dann der Überraschungseffekt weg ist. Bzw. erst wenn es dann wieder in einer neuen Location mit neuen Gerichten ist. Ich persönlich fand es schön mich mit meiner Begleitung auch mal zwischen den Gängen angeregt unterhalten zu können und nicht wie bei Palazzo durchgehend mit Programm "zugeballert" zu werden.

Ich war jetzt schon 2x da und bin noch immer begeistert. Stories bringt einen zum Staunen. Einzigartiges Ambiente, jeder der vielen Gänge ist eine Überraschung, äußerst lecker, sanft mit Klängen und Licht untermalt und erzählt seine eigene kleine Story. Ich bin gespannt wo es mit Stories ab Februar hin geht und welche Geschichten dann dort erzählt werden.

Wir hatten unsere Firmenweihnachtsfeier dort. Perfekt, da es einen mit einer Glaswand abgetrennten Bereich gibt und man so mitten im Geschehen aber trotzdem irgendwie unter sich ist. Das Essen war natürlich auch erstklassig.

Ich möchte mich beim gesamten stories pop up kitchen Team für einen sehr schönen und außergewöhnlichen Abend bedanken. Direkt beim freundlichen Empfang mit einem Glas Sekt habe ich mich wohl gefühlt. Die Räumlichkeiten sind eine gelungene Mischung aus urbaner Lässigkeit, schlichter Eleganz und Behaglichkeit. Das den Abend umspannende Thema waren Kindheitserinnerungen, deren unterschiedliche Aspekte sich in den einzelnen der sieben köstlichen Gängen widerspiegelten. Auch die musikalische Untermalung, die kreative Präsentation der liebevoll angerichteten Speisen und die Tischdekoration waren auf die Menüabfolge abgestimmt. Als Gast wurde man auf eine Reise mit magisch besinnlichen bis hin zu heiter fröhlichen Momenten mitgenommen. Die Servicemitarbeiter sind aufmerksam, kompetent und auf angenehm natürliche Weise freundlich. Das Bedürfnis des gesamten Teams, dem Gast ein unvergessliches Erlebnis zu bereiten, ist spürbar. Und es gelingt dem Team auf ganzer Linie. Der einzige Nachteil des Abends: er ist wie im Flug vergangen.

Rundherum ein extrem schöner Abend. Besonderes Konzept mit hohem unternehmerischem Risiko in traumhaftem Ambiente umgesetzt - Sehr guter Service - geschmacklich hervorragende Speisen und Getränkeauswahl. Bin schon auf die nächste Überraschung gespannt.

Vom sehr herzlichen und freundlichen Empfang, über das angenehme Ambiente, der sehr aufmerksame und genau richtige Service, bis zum - last but not least - ausgezeichneten Essen. Wer hier meckert , der versteht nichts von Essen. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder ...

Ich war sehr fasziniert von dem Ambiente das so viel gemütlichkeit in den Raum bringt. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich den ganzen Abend. Und das Essen war erstklassig. Ich habe schon viel probiert aber das war sehr gut. Ich werde das Pop-Up auf jeden Fall noch einmal besuchen.

Der Weg von Tübingen nach Heidelberg, war es wert, für dieses Erlebnis. Wir waren zu dritt, alle aus der gleichen Branche und durchweg begeistert. Empfagen von einer lockeren Atmosphäre in der wir uns gleich, wohl und aufgehoben, gefühlt haben. Von ebenso lockerem, höflichen Service bekamen wir dann gleich unseren Aperitif. Das Design des Pop Up Restaurants, wirklich beeindruckend, mit einer klaren Handschrift des Designers. Es war toll zusehen, dass nicht auf mehr Plätze, mehr Umsatz geschaut wurde, denn es ist wirklich ausreichend Platz zwischen den Tischen um eine angenehme Privatssphäre von Tisch zu Tisch zu erleben. Die Show begann... Es wurden bei wirklich jedem Gang konsquent darauf geachtet alle Sinne in das Geschmacks- und Genusserleben mit einzubinden. Das handwerklich und optisch einmaligen Menü, war kreativ und sehr schmackhaft. Ich hatte das vegetarische Menü bestellt, beim Anblick des Fleischgangs war ich aber so voller Lust darauf es auch zu probieren. Gegen einen Aufpreis, logischerweise, konnte ich dann auch noch in den Genuss kommen. Danke für die flexibilität. Die Weinbegleitung sehr passend!! Zu dem 5. Stern hat noch gefehlt, dass ich mir gewünscht hätte mehr zu den begleitenden Weinen zu erfahren. Wir empfehlen dieses Erlebnis

Dieses Restaurant hebt sich definitiv von anderen Locations in Heidelberg ab. Man merkt wie viel Liebe zum Detail in die Dekoration, Ausführung und vor allem Zusammensetzung des Menüs hineingesteckt wurde. Die Portionen sind selbstverständlich nicht mit asiatischem Take-Out zu vergleichen, aber man muss sich entscheiden ob man Qualität geboten bekommen möchte oder einfach nur billiges Essen will. Ich finde, dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Man kommt außerdem nicht nur kulinarisch auf seine Kosten...es wird auch eine kleine Show geboten und eben eine schöne Geschichte erzählt. Man braucht aber nicht zu befürchten, dass man dadurch keinen gemütlichen Abend in Gesellschaft verbringen kann. Die "Show" wird nicht die Überhand ergreifen... Das Servicepersonal war professionell, freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Wein zu jedem Gang war einfach nur herrlich. Ich finde, dass das Pop Up das repräsentiert, was Heidelberg ausmacht: Das Moderne und Alte, das Unkonventionelle und Exklusive im Einklang...

Essen wow! Location wow! Echt was Besonderes in Heidelberg und nur für kurze Zeit. So ein Dinner-Menü kann / sollte man sich mal gönnen. Bin gespannt wie und wo es weitergeht.
