Bistro AUBERGIN in Heidelberg

The seating is very comfortable and I find the distance between the tables to be extremely decent. There you don't get the feeling of having an evening meal like cucumbers in a can. Not only was the attentive staff the absolute bestseller during my visit, but also the great ambience. I was absolutely positively surprised. We will all definitely appear again. In terms of taste, everything here is a delight. The portions are an attractive and filling size.

The evening at Adriatic Seven was an absolute experience and deserves 5 stars. Every course was unique, the ambiance was fantastic, and the chef and staff were very friendly and guided us through the menu brilliantly. However, there are a few small things that I think could be improved: - First of all, the food and drinks were excellent and justified the price. What struck me later on, however, was the homemade limoncello for dessert (approx. 2 cl), which was charged at €10 each. Especially considering that a glass of wine also costs €10 and the fermented liquor is on the house in many restaurants. That's not my standard, but I think €5 would have been enough. - Payment is made via invoice, which must be paid either by bank transfer or via PayPal. This requires a great deal of trust in the guest. However, direct payment by debit card would have been more convenient. - We were very unlucky to have made a reservation on a very hot day (approx. 35 degrees Celsius). The temperature inside the restaurant was estimated to be around 30 degrees Celsius, which caused beads of sweat to run even while dining. Unfortunately, such a temperature significantly impacts the experience. For a restaurant of such high standard, I would actually expect some cooling. Nevertheless, the evening at Adriatic Seven was an absolute highlight of the highest quality, one we would gladly repeat in the future.

It's heavenly up there... Even the reception with personalized menus gives you the feeling of a warm welcome. The table in the small but beautiful garden was lovingly prepared, without any unnecessary frills. Surrounded by lavender, we were able to concentrate entirely on the menu, which words simply cannot describe. Each course was a feast for the eyes and an explosion of flavor in the mouth. Creative, imaginative, and expertly prepared delicacies that linger long afterward. What impressed me most were the combinations of the various ingredients. Who would think of combining five different beans with mushrooms and porcini mushroom powder with red currants? (My secret favorite of the evening, but I can't and won't commit to it in retrospect :) The entire menu was simply unique. Not to mention the fantastic wine pairing, which certainly required a lot of preparation from Leis. Also worth mentioning is the attentive, unobtrusive service of the two chefs, who personally served and explained each dish. Several times during this wonderful evening, I was simply speechless with excitement, and as I write these lines, I realize: even now, I can't really put into words how special this evening at Oben was.
