It's hard to just walk past the red tram. The Halloween decorations, with skeletons, cobwebs, a psycho clown, and other things, are so well done that you're drawn in. The entire 50s interior, with its bright plush sofas, picture frames, jukebox, and signs, feels like stepping back in time or into a Wim Wenders film. Everything is absolutely gorgeous and very cozy. I loved it. The sandwich was good, and the menu is extensive. The cool, blonde waitress was incredibly busy, and it was extremely busy with lots of people running around, but she was still very nice and friendly despite the stress. I highly recommend it.

Attention! Cash only! A beautifully decorated American diner in a 1950s-1970s style. It's amazing that an old railway carriage can provide such a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are always very friendly, and the music is great if you like classics like Elvis, Madonna, etc., but it can be a bit loud. Seating is limited due to the small size of the carriage, but you can usually find a seat. The food is really good, but typically American—very greasy—and unfortunately, a bit pricey. Nevertheless, it's always worth a visit.

It was my first time here, and I have to say the atmosphere was amazing, the food was great, and the atmosphere was very friendly. What more could you want? The only downside was that there were five of us, so the space was a bit cramped. Update: five of us again, and it was very cramped. But the food was good. The smashburger wasn't. A shame. But we'll be back.

We came in for a spontaneous lunch. There was only one server hence we were seated at the bar to wait for a table to free up. We ended up waiting for fifteen minutes. The server was quite friendly though! I had a vegan burger, which was ok. I might just personally not be a big fan of the „pulled meat-substitute“. The fries were very bland. After adding salt they were fine though. On the bright side: all day breakfast! Lots of vegetarian/vegan options. My American boyfriend thought his breakfast was authentic!

For an authentic burger and fries, I took my wife there to get a taste of the nostalgic America. Just like the yesteryears of days gone by, Mandy’s has the wall hangin’s that would make any truck stop look like an imitation! Go and enjoy!

The restaurant is an institution. The ambiance and decor are fantastic. You feel like you've been transported to a vision of the American past. The food is good, but the burgers in particular are too greasy for me, a bit soggy, and the food overall is very rich. But that's a matter of taste and doesn't deduct a star. I'm annoyed that I couldn't pay my bill of almost €100 with a card. That's not contemporary and, in my opinion, poor service.

Friendly owner, great service, good coffee! If you are looking for an authentic American diner experience—this is it. Buttermilk pancakes, bagels, the whole 9 yards. This kind of gem is rare in America so I was thrilled to find one in German. After eating here it looks under-rated on Google Reviews. I had a great time so my guess is not everyone is a fan of traditional diner food and vibes. I will absolutely be back.

At Mandy's – a good place for anyone looking for an afternoon breakfast for decades – it's Spooktober right now: In front of the train carriage, there's a richly decorated "graveyard" with all sorts of skeletons, inside there are cobwebs, Halloween decorations, and even more skeletons. Even in the restrooms. The service, as always, was attentive and friendly, the food was solid, and the coffee was practically bottomless. I am and will always be a Mandy's fan!

I was here for breakfast. It was really delicious and the ambiance is something special.

Poor value for money. The most expensive fries, and the worst at that. Two small drinks, one fries with mayo, and one small portion of cheese fries for a mere €20.30 each. Disgraceful. The atmosphere was good, though, but it won't fill you up.

The vegan burger was delicious, but small, and much too little for €15. Prices are generally very high, especially for the amount of food you get. A portion of fries (maybe 200g) costs €5. The waitress looked at me a bit strangely (at least in my perception) because I ordered so little, as I didn't want to spend more money. The diner (which is very nice) was full and quite loud, but you could still hear your tablemates.

Great food, large selection, but unfortunately, there are long waits on weekends. Otherwise, I'm always happy!

Unfortunately, it's gotten worse and worse over the past few years, but at the same time, it's gotten more expensive. I can understand that inflation has made things difficult, especially for restaurants, but cutting corners on quality isn't the solution. It's just "good" these days, but nothing special anymore.

The diner is very cool, they fully dwell into their concept. However, the realistic rating for the place is a solid 3. Primarily because we waited more than 25 minutes just to be handed the menu and then addition 15 minutes until we could actually order. After that, the orders arrived in about 10 minutes. Now for the food: portions sizes are huge which justifies the price points of the dishes. However, I was eating the blueberry pancakes and one would expect to have blueberries in the pancake batter, however, the pancakes were plain butter pancakes with a few blueberries on the side. It's a much better option to just take plain pancakes since those are also much larger. They were also very sugary, but that is also on brand. In general, I would recommend visiting the place for an American expirience, but for me personally, a second visit will not be an option.

We were there again after a while and really enjoyed it. The interior had been renovated, and there were also some new dishes on the menu.

We highly recommend this diner!!! We were there for the first time today, and we were beyond impressed. I couldn't stop being amazed. Everything is so beautifully decorated, and there's so much to see. The portions are more than generous. I would go back anytime :-) They were also very kind and attentive to our little one. The order and cleanliness were top notch.

The food was good. The service was terrible. I specifically asked for a burger well done, but it was ignored. A canned drink that was two years old cost €4.90. And the drink was also prepared incorrectly. We then had to order a new drink, which was also two years old. Good customer service doesn't look like good. €53 for two meals and three drinks, two of which were expired. Definitely too expensive. Any other restaurant would have at least given a 50% discount on the expired drinks or not charged at all.

It was okay really, I love the atmosphere but the food is quite pricey. It was about €30+ for 3 items; ain't it chief. I will say tho the burger was quite massive.

What's not acceptable, though, is that we waited a whopping 50 minutes from the time we arrived until the food was delivered... And the criticism wasn't really taken seriously either... The food was okay; I had an American New York hot dog with sauerkraut.

We ate at Mandy's Diner while passing through. I highly recommend it. The meat was very fresh and delicious. The portions were truly ample for us. Of course, if you're used to eating three portions for the price of one, I'm inclined to believe that the gentleman (who wrote this review) thought everything was too expensive and too little!!! We were very satisfied. The service was also excellent. We were even asked if everything was okay or if we had any other requests. The ambiance was also well thought out and implemented accordingly. In fact, you could almost imagine it being a little "other world." The restrooms were very clean. That, I think, is a very important aspect. We'll definitely be back next time we're passing through. Whenever I'm in Heidelberg, Mandy's Diner is a must. With the beautiful weather, I sat outside for the first time, even though the interior is incredibly beautifully decorated. The new Double Smash is delicious, and the service is fast and friendly—everything was perfect again!

Really friendly service and a cool American diner feel – we loved it right away! I had the "Down Under," my husband had the "Smash Burger." Both were delicious, although I personally wasn't so keen on the pineapple in the "Down Under" – but that's a matter of taste. To finish off, we had the "Barbie Blast" milkshake with strawberries – super fresh and incredibly delicious! We'll definitely be back.

I was very disappointed this time with my visit to Mandy's RWD. The waitresses were very uncoordinated and took a very long time to do everything so they could chat with each other. The worst thing was that you could hear the gossip and the tone of voice between them. Furthermore, the price-performance ratio is not right: charging so much for a mini sandwich and chips (packet chips) spread over half a plate is outrageous. The food arrived lukewarm and cold (my companion's burger/fries). With each visit, the quality and selection on the menu got worse. Unfortunately, in the future, I will be going to Joe Molese in Heidelberg instead of Mandy's RWD.

For me, coming here at least once a year is a must. The food is simply perfect; the pancakes are amazing. The staff is beyond friendly, you don't have to wait long for your food, and the ambiance perfectly matches the name; you just feel at home. All in all, I highly recommend this diner. It's definitely worth driving 100km to eat there.

Why are the seats at the counter always empty? Because there's no room for all the junk! It's a shame for non-couples or people who just want a casual burger, especially when the whole place is usually pretty busy.

Been to Hberg so many times over the last 10 years but only found this place 2 years ago and won’t go anywhere else for breaky. Amazing little American diner. Spent all weekend in there for breaky this time around.

The ambience is great but unfortunately the food is nothing special. We were there for breakfast. I chose my pancake with peanut butter and jelly because it wanted fresh strawberries... There was a strawberry cut into 4 pieces... Really disappointing! In addition, the pancakes were boring and nothing special. I make better ones at home. Really disappointing. The service was okay. When the woman was with us, she was very nice, but the waiting times until she took our order or paid us were really too long...

Philly is fine, needs a lil more tenderness. cookie is cool, could be softer. fries are ok Make sure if you get the cookie, ask for the amount of powder.

My 2 boys and I stayed across the street at the Meninger hotel and ate here one night. They nailed the look, ambience and food, it was great. Only thing I recommend is that they get Hellman's mayo and give people the option to get Miracle Whip or mayo. Next time we're there will l we will visit again for sure.

A bit outdated, the entire area and also a bit out of date! On the positive things: great service, really nice atmosphere, well connected! Not so pleasant: the burger was incredibly greasy and the taste was simply nothing special, the minced meat in particular was not very seasoned and the sauce was saved - overall the burger was also very small and expensive in comparison! I won't be coming back!

This is the best American diner I have visited in Germany so far. The food is great and comes quickly. The service is friendly. The ambience really screams USA, USA! It might be a little cheaper, but it's a good price. The prices are reasonable.

A very beautiful and atmospheric place. There are lovely details everywhere that you can look at while you wait for your food (which doesn't take long, by the way). The food is delicious, the service is good and the prices are affordable. There is a clean and well-maintained toilet in the premises, which is also decorated decoratively - everything is nicely decorated and quite comfortable. A portion of fries costs €4.90, mozzarella sticks €5.90 and chili con carne fries with sour cream cost an impressive €10.90. The taste of the latter was okay, but the portions were rather manageable for the price. The American soft drinks like Dr. Pepper or grape soda are not served in the original can, but in a glass - unfortunately the taste is a bit stale. At €4.90 per glass, the drinks are also priced at the upper end. The menu seems a bit wild and confusing, which makes choosing difficult. The music was quite loud and hectic, which made the stay a bit uneasy. The service was friendly, but not particularly attentive or engaging. The taste was also great. I needed to add salt and I prefer a little bit hotter. But maybe salt is just right for you. The atmosphere, the posters was amazing. I have a new place where I could bring my guests and clients confidently. I ate a mega burger, 339 gram meat which is 18.50 Euro. The portion and the price is a match in my opinion. I was hungry and it was big enough to fulfill me. I want to come back to taste the other options and the rib eye steak🥩 P.S. I am a very well eater

You can dine on typical American cuisine here, which is very tasty and sumptuous. Well furnished and waitresses in petticoat outfits ensure the appropriate ambience. Reservations are not possible on weekends. The no-carb burger is recommended
