"We had a fantastic morning at Mandy's Railway Diner! The food was simply amazing. We ordered two burgers and there were sweet potato fries, which tasted absolutely amazing. The burgers themselves were also good - juicy and full of flavor. The ambience was breathtaking , especially now at Halloween. The decoration, both outside and in the carriages, was designed with great attention to detail and created a special atmosphere. The service was incredibly friendly and made the morning even more pleasant - we'll come definitely again!"

A diner with a real American feeling! The diner is located inside an old train carriage. We were happy to have been there in the fall and were able to admire great Halloween decorations - even inside and out. The selection is huge in diversity and quantity. The club sandwich is a great deal.

Great service and the best pancakes around. But the prices are quite high. 10€ for a small salad. Or €13 for a medium-sized burger without any side dish. You have to want it. We'll still come back because it was really tasty.

Nice team. Delicious food (also vegetarian). However, the insistence on cash payment is outdated. Everyone can do whatever they want, but not offering card payments these days is like chopping firewood before cooking. In any case, it doesn't do much for the authenticity of a diner. Was expecting 100% all beef burgers for the price we paid (very high for what you got), but it was meat with fillers—don’t know what it was, but it wasn’t good. There were no hot dogs, burgers were on the bigger side, but also very pricey. All day breakfast, Atmosphere was really cool and service was good, but the burgers need to be improved!

The food was very good, but the price was rather higher. Sometimes we waited a long time for service to arrive, even though it wasn't too busy (it was definitely already full). If you compare it with 10-15 years ago, you notice that the charm is increasingly being lost.

Food at Mandy's is always great. Great service, great atmosphere and great food. Unfortunately it's not exactly cheap but it's understandable since everything else is correct. We would love to come back and my daughter loves your waffles.

The burger doesn't have a price-performance ratio at all and is overpriced. It didn't taste good either. The fries with chili, on the other hand, are good.

The sandwhiches are awesome. There are drinks from the USA and the ambience in the railway carriage and American style is something. Just a little expensive.

Great restaurant, Burgers are very tasty. The Grant Burgers with 380 gr of meat are highly recommended. Points deducted for bringing the wrong burger, it should have been a hamburger instead of the farm burger. Veggie burgers are also highly recommended Ambience absolutely great.

I ordered the largest burger on the menu which, surprisingly, is very large. Unfortunately I had very loose stools that evening and I don't know if that had anything to do with the burger. If you ever go there, I would recommend the “Super Hero Burger” (~27€), but you can also eat it for two and it’s relatively cheap.

Looks very nice. Typical American food, just fine. There was some disagreement among the staff. They responded very slowly and grumpily. We only received the additional mayo when we were almost done, and we never had napkins again.

Today we were guests with 5 people. We were forbidden to sit outside in the back where there was enough space. There were only tables for four at the front and we weren't allowed to move anything. Even in the interior we were only offered to sit separately. Just like that without explanation. Totally unfriendly.

The location is something special. In the style of an old railway carriage. Great and tastefully decorated. Modern, clean toilets. There is also a small area for "sitting outside". The food is mainly American, i.e. burgers & co. I found the service particularly good 👍. The way it should be and is now rare.

At Mandy's you always feel like you're in an American diner of the past. This makes the burgers and shakes taste even better than they already do. The prices are still fair.

Mandy's burger leaves a disappointing impression. The waiting time is very long, which makes the visit unpleasant. When the food finally comes, it is lukewarm, which isn't exactly appetizing. The fries are nothing special and in no way justify the price of €4.90. The meat patty definitely seems to have come from the freezer, which further reduces the quality. Overall, Mandy's Burger is overpriced and offers below average quality. In comparison, the two well-known burger chains offer better value for money and do not disappoint. Conclusion: Mandy's burger is not worth recommending. PS: - About 20 minutes of waiting until you received the card, even though the waiter walked past several times. We had to actively ask him to please let us be served. Where can you find something like that? - We also had to actively ask for ketchup. - Waiter didn't seem happy that he didn't receive a tip and had to spend change down to the penny. To summarize the service: Changing jobs would certainly not be a bad idea. Positive: The draft beer is good.

Looks like a cute spot but we were waiting for 30 minutes with no service not even drinks. I could understand if she was swamped, but it was not very busy. The only time our waitress came up to us was to tell us our table (that she sat us at) was in the walk way and we needed to move - she didn’t take our order while leading us to the new table. While we were leaving a waitress was outside having a smoke. Had to laugh at how bad it was.

The place look great with America Diner vibes! Ordered the Pitburger, Onion Rings and Earl Grey Tea. The burger was recommended by a waitress, which was pretty nice - bread could be better. Took quite a while to get my order taken, and food service took some time as well - buffer your time when you come! Would not recommend the onion rings.

Very nice and special atmosphere. Typical American food at reasonable prices. We really enjoy coming here. Definitely recommended. The waiters are also very nice and the food is on the table quickly after you order. The homemade lemonades are delicious and you can also have breakfast for dinner.

The structure is very nice, it recalls the clichés of the 1950s and we American fans immediately entered. They don't accept credit or debit cards but CASH ONLY and without even indicating it with a sign! Not bad food but the biggest shame is the service. We were there for the second time today and left because we couldn't get a seat. The service staff is inflexible and was not willing to put a chair at a table so that we could sit together and order a drink. We ended up waiting in the hallway for 30 minutes and finally left. It's totally overpriced. The service is ok but not good and the drink prices are just cheeky... Small beer 0.33 4.60 euros... The burger is ok but in no way compares to the price. Fries aren't worth 5 euros. Burgerking has a better price-performance ratio and tastes similar, little sauce and no fresh ingredients, dry salad etc. Let's not do it again. Music is good.

For me, Mandy's Railway Diner is a real journey back in time to the US 70s. The homemade lemonade and pickle sandwich were delicious. The atmosphere in the old train compartment is simply fantastic. As a long-time fan of the diner, every visit reminds me of the good old days when the Americans were still stationed in Heidelberg. It is a piece of history and a culinary enrichment at the same time. If you like classic American food and vintage flair, you should definitely stop by. A must for nostalgics and connoisseurs. We've eaten there before. And I can remember much better food than now… we all ordered burgers. The patty was some pressed, indefinable piece of “meat”. It was less than lukewarm, the cheese was just lying on top - nothing could melt at that temperature. I asked and received a new burger in less than 5 minutes. This could just have been rehashed. Unfortunately, the taste of the burgers is poor given these high prices. Unfortunately, card payment is not possible either, so Mandys should keep up with the times (that's almost old-fashioned... in other restaurants/shops you even pay with your cell phone). I'll look for another burger place.

I was really looking forward to it, but was unfortunately disappointed. It took a long time to even get our tickets and the music was way too loud. So the first impression was modest. The food was tasty, but we would have expected more for the price. In my opinion, a burger should have fries - but Mandy's sees it differently. You have to order them separately here. And you can get mayo for €0.90 - without informing about the additional costs. Charging just under €10 for a banana split with cheap ice cream is also quite outrageous. If you want to pay for the ambience - go for it. But I won't come to the Railway Dinner again.

Its been so long we werent there for years. They might have changed something. I didnt like the taste of the meat as my earlier experinces with Mandys. But the atmosphere is always good.

Great location that you can't find everywhere. The service was extremely quick and very accommodating. I had a classic burger with fries. The best was the Coleslow! Definitely try it! And the homemade lemonade is also highly recommended.

Incrdibly expensive for the style and quality of the food. Everything from patty to bun is off the shelf. So to pay 15 euros for a mediocre burger is way too much. Also very inflexible on drinks for kids. Been there once, wouldn’t go again.

50s, here you are at home. A converted train with a 1950s American restaurant. From the tables, the walls, the service and the food. Simply great!!! However, you have to remember to have cash with you or a voucher. It's not directly in the city, but that's not a disadvantage for the restaurant. I've eaten there a few times. The food comes quite quickly and it tasted very tasty. Some days the food was served halfway, but some days it was wonderful. The service varies, some are moody, others are very friendly. The service laughs and observes among themselves. The music could be quieter so you don't have to shout at each other. Otherwise it is a filling meal and recommended. When you take it with you, it will be beautifully packaged.

We have visited this location several times and are thrilled every time. The ambience is stylish, the service is excellent, the music is appropriate and the food is always delicious. Free parking is available which is another plus. A clear recommendation from our side. The only disadvantage: Payment is only possible in cash.

Very tasty, good selection and a great ambience. However, only cash payment, parking is a bit tight (as you have to pass a lot of people waiting) and there can be waiting times in front of the door if you want to eat at peak time. The service is very friendly and everything came quickly. Not exactly cheap, but everything tasted very good and the quantities were absolutely sufficient. Unfortunately it's too far away from us to eat there regularly, but we'll definitely come back again.
