Unfortunately my Cordon Blue was completely raw on one side. As “compensation” there would have been a schnapps on the house. It doesn't work at all. Spaetzle with asparagus (there was no asparagus, at least none was discovered) weren't good either. In addition, the hygiene there doesn't seem to be the best. Various mousetraps in the women's toilet. Otherwise very “rustic”, to put it nicely. Staff friendly, but one star more. Unfortunately we cannot recommend it any further. Answer to answer from Dorfschänke: There was no question of exchanging the raw cordon bleu for a new one. A schnapps on the house was the only thing that was offered to me! And that at a price of over €20 for a relatively small cordon bleu. Sorry, doesn't work at all. There is definitely spaetzle with asparagus and goat cheese (see picture). Anyway, we paid for it. And there was no asparagus to be found. It's unfortunate when you don't know your own menu.

Difficult. Went there with a larger group and had already pre-ordered the food in the morning. It still took almost two hours until the mediocre food was there. Partially undercooked (chicken) and with lots of pepper. Fried potatoes were very greasy. Cheese spaetzle wasn't sparkling because it was cooked for too long and wasn't very tasty. Cordon Bleu was good. I would say that we don't eat there anymore.

The evening in the village tavern was simply great! Without question, one of our best decisions eating here tonight. Really friendly service who was able to give us a lot of information about lactose-free options. Fantastic food that tasted great. Super rustic atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. Cool that we could sit outside and enjoy the sunset. Homemade specialties and a varied menu. Extremely attentive – the service was great! We have never eaten so quickly and so well. Delicacies that will stay with us for a long time. Simply perfect for a relaxing evening. Overall, we can only warmly recommend the Dorfschänke. Everything is perfect here – from the atmosphere to the food.

If you are looking for delicious and fresh food, you have come to the right place. The Dorfschänke impresses with a sufficient selection of dishes. I can especially recommend the salad with Bulgarian sheep cheese. The staff is attentive and very friendly. Allergy sufferers also get their money's worth, as special requests are no problem here. I would love to come back here.

Listen, we've gathered in the village tavern for food and drink. Thanks to the extremely patient and very knowledgeable service, we were given detailed advice and received all the information about the ingredients of the dishes. We were served a tasty Sauvignon Blanc that was pleasing to the palate. The dishes were fresh, prepared by hand and perfectly rounded off the enjoyment with excellent seasoning. There is a small deduction because of the construction fence that surrounded the terrace. Otherwise, a wonderful evening in the Heidelberger Dorfschänke - we would love to come back! A little tip at the end: don't miss the braised vegetables ;)

Food seemed unnecessarily oily.

We've been coming to the Dorfschänke for some time. The landlady and the staff are very nice. A very friendly young lady works there on Fridays and she always has a nice, quick saying on her lips. The food is good, traditional, German/Bulgarian. The portions are plentiful and filling. It's something different than fries and ketchup. I have tried many things and am satisfied every time. The restaurant is rustic and has a cozy atmosphere. We always enjoy coming here.

The “Dorfschänke” restaurant is located a little away from the tourist center, which is why you can also enjoy your meal outside in peace - very nice when the weather is good! The food is a mix of traditional German and Bulgarian cuisine and tastes very good! The dishes stand out for their freshness, their taste and their authenticity. The staff is very friendly, the food is served quickly - all in all: top, highly recommended!

We ate there twice during our stay in Heidelberg. No matter what we ordered, it was a delight. In addition, a very friendly atmosphere and service. Quality takes time. Therefore, don't be impatient. Price performance is appropriate. So don't go out to eat directly in the city center, but rather away from the tourist area.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Ich hatte ein perfektes Rumpsteak, knusprige Bratkartoffeln und einen kleinen Beilagensalat. Freundlicher Service. Familiäre Atmosphäre. Um 18.00 Uhr nicht zu voll.

Service was friendly and the food consisted of good robust traditional dishes. Beer was nice too. Located north of the river so a little off the tourist trek.

Zufriedenstellend. Einfaches Menü mit allen wichtigen Sachen. Tolles Bier (Dachsenfranz). Weniger tolles Personal - das sich untereinander recht laut nicht auf deutsch, sondern slawisch (?) unterhält. Radio/Musik genau das gleiche Spiel. Mittags sehr leer. Preise sind etwas zu hoch (Schnitzel für 17€).

A really nice spot just outside of the busy center of Heidelberg. Simply good food for an honest price. Cash only though so come prepared. First evening live music on the terrace, great atmosphere! We went back the next day which didn't disappoint. Good beer on tap, Dachsenfranz.

Sind spontan hierhin gegangen, da wir eine "gut-bürgerliche" Küche wollten. Waren überrascht davon, wie viele vegetarische Optionen es hier gab, unter anderem die Maultaschen, die wirklich zu empfehlen sind. Die Spätzler waren ebenfalls sehr sehr gut. Service war sehr gut bei uns (das Paar am Nachbartisch hatte seine Gerichte in sehr großem Abstand bekommen, kann aber auch Pech gewesen sein). We went here spontaneously since we wanted to eat at a german restaurant. We were surprised at the amount of vegetarian options, most prominently the swabian pockets, which we heavily recommend. The swabian noodles were also very very good. We had good service (the couple next to us got their dishes at vastly different times, but that might have just been bad luck).

Essen wirklich gut. Hält, was es verspricht. Service auch gut. Ambiente gewöhnungsbedürftig und verbesserungswürdig. Dennoch empfehlenswert.

Schnitzel fritiert, Pilzsoße war eine weiße, undefinierbare Mehlpampe. Die Kluempchen noch sichtbar . Salat war okay.

Essen ist sehr gut, einfache Küche, frischer Flammkuchen, leckere Salate. Man kann im Freien auf der Straße sitzen. Ist nicht so wirklich schön, könnte ein bißchen gemütlich er sein. Für ein kurzes Essen aber in Ordnung

Das Essen ist soo lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hat die Bestellung zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit erfüllt. Ich kann die Bratkartoffeln empfehlen und den Fleischspieß, allerdings könnte da noch Soße mit dazu serviert werden. Salat und Brot waren ebenfalls sehr lecker.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Die Ambiente war neutral. Man kann mal dorthin.

Die Dorfschänke hat leider viel von ihrem früheren Glanz verloren. Ich war nach langer Zeit (10 plus x Jahre) mal wieder mit einem Freund da und wir waren beide enttäuscht. Das Restaurant war bis ca. 20.00 Uhr nahezu leer und kalt (gut es ist Winter und wir müssen alle Strom sparen, aber …). Die Salatsoße war nicht wirklich lecker und hat den Salat auch nicht wirklich gewürzt. Mein Cordon bleu war leider an den Rändern etwas scharf (schwarz) angebraten, obwohl es das erste Essen des Abends für den Koch war. Die Maultaschen meines Freundes waren mit einer Gemüsebeilage in einer undefinierbaren und völlig unnötigen Sahnesoße umrahmt. War nicht lecker! Für uns war es nach früher vielen Besuchen der letzte Besuch in der Dorfschänke.

I went to this restaurants on a weekday night around 18:00. The restaurant was completely empty. When I stated that I only wanted to order soup, they told me that it would cost more if I ordered nothing else. I left then but they should have been happy to have at least one guest!! LOL!!!

Freundlich Personal, und gute Küche es ist zu empfehlen essen war liebevoll zubereitet.

Freundliche Bedienung gutes essen alle 5 Besucher waren glücklich mit der Wahl ihrer Speise. Also alles gut. Zweites Mal da gewesen wieder super essen sehr nette Bewirtung und gutes essen ich denke günstiger Preis für mich ein Geheimtipp in Heidelberg.

Das Essen war sehr gut! Die Einrichtung ist sehr rustikal und etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung.

Wir haben die Dorfschänke zum Mittagessen besucht. Die Karte ist umfangreich, die Gerichte die allerdings an der Tafel angeschrieben waren, doch recht teuer, wie z.b. das Wildschweingulasch mit Rotkohl und Spätzle für 25,50€!! Allerdings war alles sehr lecker und der Service sehr aufmerksam. Was wir allerdings nichts verstanden haben, ist dass vom Service in keinem Moment eine Maske getragen wurde. Auch wenn wir der einzige Tisch zu dem Zeitpunkt waren, ist dies keine Entschuldigung.

Es ist gemütlich hier, in dem schönen Neuenheim nahe des Neckars. Leckeres Essen, freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung Endlich wieder ein kühles gezapftes Bierchen genießen. Das Testzentrim ist auch ganz nah am Neckar. Sehr empfehlenswert Dorfschänke

Bin selten begeistert, aber hier wurden die Erwartungen deutlich übertroffen. Das Ratatouille war mega mega lecker und 100% frisch zubereitet. Die Pfifferlinges Suppe war ein Traum und das geschetzelte in Riesling Sahne souse auch sehr gut. Dazu mit dem dachsenfranz ein leckeres Bier. Preislich auch im Rahmen. Also ich hab ein neues lieblingsrestaurant in HD gefunden :)

Acabo de visitar este bonito lugar que parece un alemán anticuado, pero es mucho más que eso. Tuvimos muchos platos variados con verduras a la parrilla y un filete de cerdo perfectamente cocido. Muy bueno y los precios muy razonables. Muy buena relación calidad-precio.
