Delicious! There were eight of us and we each ordered different schnitzels. Everyone was happy. The schnitzel comes with salad and fries. Maybe spaetzle. Everyone has had their fill. A portion costs around €20 If you are nearby you can take a look.

Delicious, large schnitzels. Unfortunately there is nothing on the menu about side dishes but don't worry, fries and a mixed salad are served with every schnitzel. Very cool jungle bath! Otherwise rustic as you would imagine.

Not sure if this place changed ownership or staff. Have been there many times and every time was a very positive experience. However today we were 4 adults for dinner. Had already reserved a day in advance. The food was very good like before. Restaurant was not full during any time of our visit. But the service attitude of the staff was just pathetic. In one sentence there was negative energy. It was not that something bad or wrong was spoken by the staff to us. It was the entire body language that was negative. As a result we focused on consuming the food and then left at the earliest. Not a pleasant experience at all

Were on May 21st. there. Good reviews from my predecessors are incomprehensible. Food carelessly prepared, price overpriced. Service unfriendly, puts on makeup behind the counter. Guests who just wanted to drink were thrown out. Not recommended to visit. Not a single star.

Plates were broken, my schnitzel was gratinated with broccoli and cheese cream sauce wasn't great... I'm sorry. Spaetzle had no taste. Salad was delicious.

Haven't been there for a long time, the prices have become more expensive but that's just the way it is. Unfortunately only a limited menu today because someone was sick... I wanted to deduct a star because the Osterburkener wasn't included in the smaller selection of 36 schnitzels... but I asked politely and got it anyway :) But what I have to praise - the store was full, and yes - as you can read in other reviews - it is a bit chaotic, a reservation was entered incorrectly, people had to wait, etc... but to praise: it came despite the full house The boss from the kitchen went to each table and at the end asked if everything was good and if we wanted a desert - we didn't say no and so we had Kaiserschmarrn flambéed by the boss at the table - very nice. I love it when the boss himself goes to the guests and asks what is right and has a little chat... Happens very rarely - great Update 2024 May: Phew, was there again today, the sunflower seeds were capped on the finished schnitzel, the sauce was ready, the service was unfriendly.... Hmmm... we really had the feeling that the Metro schnitzel were today :(

Very large variety of dishes. What we got was excellent and large portions since each schnitzel comes with an individual bowl of salad and fries. The owner Dali very friendly and cheerful, we felt as if we had known each other for a long time, while he also helped us with various information!! I definitely recommend it!!

We visited the Schnitzelhaus in March, so no seating was set up. Rather inconspicuous from the outside but very rustic, cozy and cleanly furnished inside. Service is very friendly. An incredible number of schnitzel variations are offered, and in a variety of breadings. The menu states that the meat comes from a local butcher. I thought that was really great and so I thought €18.50 for a garlic schnitzel was absolutely worth it appropriate. The portion was huge and the schnitzel was delicious.

Nice, pleasant atmosphere, nice service and really tasty schnitzels! Good cuisine and decent portions! Clear recommendation if you want to eat a really good schnitzel without the usual stuff!

A real gem! I have been twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. A little quieter than the Altstadt but with lovely views and a great outdoors area, perfect for the summer. The schnitzels are sensational and I can recommend the Wiener Art, the Paprika (red pepper) sauce and the Mushroom sauce. They were served with salad and fries. The serving staff are very friendly and even remembered me from previous visits! The atmosphere is bustling but not so much so that conversation is difficult.

Frozen schnitzel like from a school cafeteria. Definitely not a visit and not worth the money. The waitress coughs constantly behind the counter and all you hear from the kitchen is a sniff and a throat clearing. Keep your distance from the store.

What can I say! Schnitzelhaus, the whole thing doesn't do it justice. Actually, we should have been surprised at the menu, which offers over 100 schnitzel variations. Canteen schnitzel with ready-made sauces. But not edible anymore. I'm really surprised at the reviews. We really expected more from a shop that offers nothing but schnitzel. The only really tasty thing were the fries. Save your money!

We came to the Schnitzelhaus around 12:20 p.m. There was only a mini-map; we only reluctantly received the large map when we asked. The apparently overwhelmed chef immediately complained to the waitress about what that was all about. Either there is a map, or you should point out a small map on the Internet. I have never experienced something like that. In addition, the bored waitress behind the counter was putting on makeup, which looked very appetizing. In any case, no more coming.

The vegetarian schnitzel was very tasty, but the mushrooms came from a jar/can and the gravy also tasted like ready-made sauce. First of all: there is also a vegetarian schnitzel version! That was definitely a plus. Overall, very tasty schnitzels and sauces, everything was super fresh and really hot. Very friendly service. But you should definitely make a reservation!

An almost perfect evening, everything was right. We were all very satisfied, not only the diverse range of schnitzels is outstanding, but also the preparation.

You have to like it. No chic but honest cuisine with a great selection of schnitzels. Super fast service and really tasty. Ok, the inn has the patina of many years of hospitality. But that's how it is! Gladly again when I'm hungry for schnitzel.

If you're an English speaking individual, this is a good place to get a variety of schnitzel. You can download the menu in English, making it very convenient and easy to order. My wife and I relaxed here after touring the castle and it is a very small spot to discuss our experience. The beer was cold, the service was excellent and the food was timely and delicious. We finished our meal off with a mini dessert that featured vanilla ice cream and espresso. It was fantastic, if we find ourselves craving schnitzel in Heidelberg again, we will come back.

Très bonne adresse ici ! Bien placé, doit être très Agréable en été avec la terrasse. L accueil était chaleureux et professionnel. Le lieu est très typique. Et les plats étaient bons pour un prix vraiment pas élevé. Petite salade en entrée et frites en accompagnement et le plat était vraiment copieux. Tout ça pour 20e avec boisson. Je recommande ! + pour la déco des toilettes femmes ! Rare pour être signalé :)

Auf Anraten unseres 4-jährigen Nachbarn sind wir hier essen gegangen. Trotz seines Alters kennt er ein gutes Schnitzel. Vielleicht das nächste Mal draußen auf der Terrasse. Wir mussten eine Weile warten, bis das Restaurant öffnete, aber der zusätzliche Spaziergang über die beiden Brücken hat sich mehr als gelohnt.

Ich habe hier das Weltmeisterschnitzel gegessen, meine Frau das „bosnische Schnitzel“. Beide Schnitzel waren köstlich, heiß und mit knuspriger Panade. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Als Heidelberger kommen wir gerne wieder. Und bei rund 100 Schnitzel auf der Karte sollte für jeden was dabei sein.

Waren hier, um leckere Schnitzel zu essen. Die Auswahl war sehr groß, fast schon zu groß. Da hat die Auswahl sehr lange gedauert. Aber immerhin ist für jeden etwas dabei. Die Schnitzel wurden zügig zubereitet und waren geschmacklich in Ordnung. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Leider war das ganze Personal an diesem Tag krank, sodass man viel Husten und Rotz Hochzieherei aus der Küche und von hinter dem Tresen gehört hat. Das war etwas unappetitlich. Das Ambiente war in Ordnung und urig. Wir waren leider alleine, sodass man sich auf Grund der kleineren Raumgrösse beobachtet und etwas unbehaglich gefühlt hat.

Came in to Heidelberg for the day to see the sights, learn about the history and eat like a German! Our kids loved this restaurant and we loved the cozy atmosphere and the wonderful owner who took the time to come sit with us, talk and arm wrestle our boys. What a great experience. Delicious food, great prices and wonderful host who made us feel like family. What more can you ask for?!

I came here with friends for the schnitzel and it didn't disappoint us. The foods were amazing (I had the ratatouille one, if you really love mediterranean spices, I recommend this). The owner advised us what to order according to what we love, and it was really good. He's extra friendly, and you could always ask suggestion for what to order and drink. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so good that you could enjoy a great dinner with friends or family. Do not forget to reserve, otherwise you have to wait.

Wir hatten gestern einen sehr angenehmen Abend. zwar war am Anfang etwas Verwirrung wegen einer sehr kleinen Speisekarte aber das wurde auf Nachfragen sehr gut gelöst. Essen war sehr reichlich und lecker. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Besser kann man Schnitzel nicht präsentieren. Die riesige Auswahl und die kreativen Ideen dazu bringen einen zum Staunen. Ich hatte eine überbackene Variante, ober lecker 😋 Und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Wir haben endlich ein Tisch reservieren können mit Zeit Vorgabe und das ist für mich persönlich nicht schon haben wir in kauf genommen. Wir freuen und fahren von Mannheim nach Heidelberg mit vollem Elan über 100 Schnitzel Sortiment wir bekommen ein Tisch und einen Kleinen Karten mit ca. 15 sorte von Schnitzel ohne etwas zu sagen, nach frage von uns man bekommt eine Antwort: Heute ist unsere Chef Koch krank und nach dem Motto das ist alles, und noch besser ist, Jäger Schnitzel mit Champignons aus der Dose keine frische, Schnitzel mit gebratenen Zwiebeln nicht gebraten, und und und. Wir haben gegessen und bezahlt aber ich glaube war Erste und Letzte mal. Meine persönliche Meinung nicht zu empfehlen.

Schöne kleines Restaurant und guten Service. Die Schnitzel sind total lecker und eine wahnsinnige Auswahl auf der Karte. So viel Auswahl habe ich noch nicht gesehen. Die Portionen sind auch sehr groß, wenn da keiner Satt wird dann weiß ich auch nicht. Das Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist berfeckt. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Beste Schnitzel-Location. Qualität mit Tradition. Mein Großvater war hier schon in den 1950ern essen, schon damals war es gut und ist es auch heute noch. Aktuell arbeitet eine sehr talentierte Kellnerin dort. Haben uns wieder einmal sehr wohl gefühlt.

Viiiel Schnitzel auf dem Teller, Salat und Pommes angenehm, vor allem extra serviert, dass die nicht "versuppen". Wir hatten am Samstagabend eine reduzierte Karte, warum, wissen wir nicht. Die Auswahl reichte aber auch so. Das Mexico- und Hubertusschnitzel waren lecker. Zwei Verbesserungen haben wir dem Team vorgeschlagen: Mexico ohne Curry, Hubertus mit würzigerem Käse. Auch schön und heutzutage nicht mehr erwartbar: flotter, freundlicher Service!!

Kein Gourmettempel, kein Schickimicki, keine Sterneküche. Ehrliche, rustikale Weinstube mit gutem Essen wenn man gerne Schnitzel isst. Keine sterile Atmosphäre sondern gesellige Stimmung und zur Not gibt's auch Flaschbier. Freundliche handfeste Bedienung, eine tolle Alternative zu den abgelutschten Turiläden. Waren als Paar dort und sehr zufrieden👍

Personal sehr freundlich, kompetent und der Wirt hat sich immer wieder gemeldet „alles ok?“ Empfehlenswert!

Wir waren mit knapp 14 Personen Essen und die Schnitzel waren überragend. Aber nicht nur das Essen war Top, sondern der ganze Service. Es wurde per Telefon reserviert und wir waren viel zu spät, anstatt die Reservierung aufzuheben wurde freundlich zurück gerufen und die Reservierung aufrecht erhalten. Dalli hat uns super freundlich begrüßt und alles möglich gemacht. Eines ist sicher, wir kommen wieder. Top! Top! Top!

This was surprice because there were good options also for vegans. Over hundred schnitzel dishes were able to get meatless version. My choise was genuine bar food: douple schnitzel, inside two greasy and halved bratwurts. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

We had a wonderful dinner here during our trip. I had the Jaeger Schnitzel. It was a romantic German meal. Weather was beautiful for an outdoor meal.

Für den ganzen Außenbereich war eine Servicekraft zuständig, die einem einfach nur Leid tun konnte. Die junge Dame machte Ihre Sache gut, aber letztlich ist eine völlig abgehetzte Servicemitarbeiterin eine Zumutung für den Gast! Auch wenn Personal aktuell in der Gastronomie sehr schwer zu bekommen ist, muss man als Gastronom andere Lösungen finden und zur Not eben selbst mit anpacken! Das Essen war in Ordnung.

Waren zu elft dort und hatten nicht reserviert, deshalb waren wir bereits gegen 17 Uhr dort. Waren anfangs nicht sehr willkommen (eigentlich müssen wir reservieren, das geht so nicht, kriegen nur die kleinere Karte, wenig Änderungsmöglichkeiten). Es wurden uns dann aber trotzdem Plätze angeboten im Freien, die von der Bedienung zusammen geschoben wurden. Bedienung hatte sich dann auch irgendwann beruhigt. 😉 Essen kam sehr schnell und vor allem fast gleichzeitig; bei 11 Personen nicht selbstverständlich! Schnitzel waren gut und ausreichend und die kleinere Karte hat auch vollkommen gereicht als Auswahl. Preislich etwas teurer, aber darüber kann man sich im Vorfeld ja informieren. Insgesamt also doch noch sehr gut.

Wir waren als Gruppe von ca. 10 Personen Anfang Juni dort. Es war ein Samstag, an dem die "Heidelberger Schlossbeleuchtung" (großes Feuerwerk) stattfand, und es war dementsprechend voll. Ausnahmsweise (?) wurde drinnen und draußen bedient. Wir konnten nicht reservieren, allerdings waren wir zeitig am Restaurant, bestimmt 2 Stunden vor Beginn des Feuerwerks, und erhielten im Außenbereich zwei Tische, die zusammengestellt wurden. Der Wirt war anfangs freundlich und auch recht lustig. Wir bestellten einige Getränkerunden und recht bald auch Schnitzel mit Pommes. Im Außenbereich gab es nur eine sehr begrenzte Auswahl, aber das war OK. Die Schnitzel waren essbar, mehr Pommes wurden auf Wunsch nachgereicht. Irgendwann war dem Wirt aber wohl die Frequenz unserer Getränke-Bestellungen nicht mehr hoch genug. Das gipfelte darin, dass er uns noch deutlich vor dem Feuerwerk sehr direkt fragte: "Wann kann ich denn meine Tische wieder haben?" Das haben wir als Unverschämtheit aufgefasst und sind aufgestanden. Obwohl sich die Rechnung inzwischen auf mehrere hundert Euro belaufen hatte, hielten wir ein Trinkgeld von ca. 1,45 € für sicherlich ausreichend. Wir haben den Abend dann sehr viel netter gleich nebenan bei Frollein Bent ausklingen lassen, wo wir uns deutlich willkommener fühlten.
