Saturday lunchtime, 1:00 p.m., at 30 degrees in the shade, I was looking for a restaurant where you could sit and eat outside, in the shade, even with a dog. Everything was perfect, no waiting time, service was super fast and friendly, dishes (Kurpfälzer Kochkäs' Schnitzel / Hansi's Goldhuhn) were sumptuous and tasty, drinks were served quickly... that's a good way to get 5 stars. Without deduction: toilet on the 2nd floor, I didn't see an elevator. There are no parking spaces for cars either. (Parking garage max. 150m further) Conclusion: Highly recommended 😎👍 And the prices are totally okay for a prime location and around 1 million visitors in HD that day...

The street where it is located is the longest walking street in Europe. It is a very clean restaurant, even if there is a lot of circulation. Our waiter was also extremely attentive and friendly. Thanks

Our stay at Hans Hirsch’s Kurpfalzbräu was excellent. The service was super fast, polite and accommodating. Both the food and drinks were impeccable.

The first time I only looked in briefly because I was looking for a toilet that was accessible to disabled people. Joschi, one of the waiters, was so nice and showed me everything - even though we weren't paying guests! Then I noticed the great ambience and the size of the restaurant with a total of 3 floors plus an outdoor restaurant. Yesterday we came for dinner and were once again very impressed by the friendly, courteous team and the very good food at reasonable prices. We sat outside (high-quality seating) with a view of the market square. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back!

We found the perfect location for a big anniversary celebration at Hans Hirsch's Kurpfallzbräu. Even for 40 people, the food was hot and of very good quality. The waitress was very attentive and promptly fulfilled all of the guests' wishes during the 6 hours of the celebration. It was a great performance from the entire team!!! All guests were satisfied, the Schwarwaldverein Heidelberg will definitely come back to celebrate. THANKS.

Pleasant atmosphere and very nice service. The taste of the food was okay. Very large quantity. But you notice that you are in the middle of a tourist hotspot and cater to a large international audience. The drinks, on the other hand, are convincing. The beer tasting is recommended.

Unfortunately not as expected and not a good price-performance ratio. Service poor. On the one hand, after the card was brought to us, we waited for almost 15 minutes and asked 3 times for someone to take the order. Then the sausage salad we ordered came without the accompanying fries. Upon request, the waiter counter-asked whether we had ordered them separately. He didn't know they were there in court. When we asked whether the Maultaschen that were brought were the vegan variant that we hadn't ordered, the answer was: "Several customers were already surprised, but the minced meat is very spinach-heavy. We have already complained to the supplier ourselves, but we still have There are so many left in the refrigerator that they have to go first." The sausage salad tasted just like FROZEN FOOD. Bland and not very spicy, a bit watery. The veal schnitzel was okay, only the potato salad that came with it was probably only cheaply ordered in bulk and at 32 euros it was a bit too expensive for ready-made food. And almost 6 euros for 0.5 light beer is also a rather high price in Heidelberg. You can also get it in the old town for €4.50. At the end we had to wait another 20 minutes for the bill after being told several times by waiters who were "not responsible". And that, even though the restaurant was normally busy, even when the European Championship games were being broadcast.

I was visiting the wonderful city of Heidelberg and I immediately noticed the Kurpfalzbräu. I was able to end the day perfectly with an authentic interior, fabulous food (veal schnitzel) and a cold, delicious beer. The service was outstanding!

Die Location ist modern und gleichermaßen ursprünglich. Ausgewählte Bier, eine umfangreiche Auswahl an Speisen und ein sehr freundliches Team machen Spaß und geben Anlass zum Wohlfühlen. Das Preis//Leistungsverhältsis ist in Ordnung. Wir sind durch die Eat the world-Tour auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden -toller Tipp. Beim Nächsten Heidelbergurlaub kommen wir wieder.

I used it when sightseeing at Heidelberg Castle, but since I went around 12:00, the store was empty. The staff are friendly and speak English. I ordered the schnitzel, and it was so big that it also came with fries, so even though I shared it with my child, I was still full. The schnitzel was around 16-20€ (with several types of sauces and garnishes), and I think it's an average price as I found it to be about the same or even more expensive everywhere.

I recommend! A restaurant in a regional style, traditional dishes, seasonal cuisine. Tasty dishes, nicely presented, good meat. The weakest point of the dish is the salad, poor, modest and underdeveloped. The rest of the food was perfect. Service efficient and fast, nice and polite. The only drawback is the lack of appropriate clothing. Some regional clothing is more suitable for a restaurant in the old town square. Good atmosphere outside, in good weather you can eat on the market square and observe the beautiful architecture.

We were there with a large group and a previous reservation. All guests were board members of various groups, i.e. multipliers for recommendations. That totally went wrong. The service was very slow. Dishes were piled up on the tables. New drinks were brought but no empty glasses were cleared away. The cafe and espresso came to the table only lukewarm. Suddenly and completely unexpectedly, the announcement for the last round came shortly before 9 p.m. At 9 p.m. the lights were simply turned off even though there were still at least 35 guests in the room. It was impossible behavior for the person who registered and reserved the event. Very embarrassing for the host, who didn't know that he had to send his guests home at 9 p.m. Something like this has to be explained in advance or you have to refrain from accepting reservations for events. When the guests were more or less driven out, a bar stool was even set up at the end of the stairs, at the end of which there was a basket with the inscription tip. Word of such behavior will certainly spread very quickly among the various groups. I think that none of these guests will visit this restaurant again. It would definitely be time for management to talk to employees, even given the current staff shortage.

Came here on a very busy ascension day. We were lucky enough to find a table in the sun. We had the curry wurst and the bratwurst. They were really good! Also the mashed potatoes and sauerkraut, really tasty. The helles beer was even better, super fresh. Service was also pretty quick, especially for such a busy day.

Crime dinner booked in the evening. Very good food for the crime-finding game. Great actors - had a lot of fun. Highly recommended - to be topped with dressing up in the 1920s style😂😁👍💫

On an empty Sunday, after waiting 20-30 minutes, we still didn't have a card and weren't served! The 3 waitresses stood at the counter and preferred to chat instead of taking care of the guests! We got up and left and definitely won't be coming back!

We had the Maultaschen and bratwurst with cabbage and mashed potatoes. Both were great. The Kaiserschmarn, on the other hand, was only medium and I cannot recommend it.

This is a nice spot to have lunch while exploring old Heidelberg. The schnitzels were large and tasty and the beer was good. The restaurant has a clean, modern and casual atmosphere. The staff was friendly and accommodating of our poor grasp of the German language.

The food and its quality was not good. The braised ox cheeks were tough and not tender. The vegetable side dish, the sauce and the bread dumplings were unfortunately ready-made/convenience goods. So nothing special, we won't eat there again.

The waiter is walking around, while there‘re only 3 tables here and he didn’t care about us. The recommended Weizenbier has no foam in the glass, we had to asked for the replacement coz there might be because of the uncleaned glass. And the second glass still had no foam in there.🤷🏻‍♂️ The Schnitzel was very disappointed too, serving with the pre-cooked potatoes that were super chewy. The side salad had a bad smell from old vegetable and very watery. The only good thing here is it‘s not crowded, you don’t have to wait for the table.😅

Excellent service and excellent food

The KurpfalzBräu Wirtshaus in Heidelberg was a disappointing experience for me. Although the ambience was inviting and the place had potential, the service left a lot to be desired. It was obvious that the shop relies heavily on tourism and unfortunately the hospitality fell by the wayside. I wasn't directly affected, but witnessed another guest being literally treated badly. When we wanted to drink, the server seemed either eager to call it a day or overwhelmed as the restaurant filled up. While the coffee machine at the next table was being cleaned and problems arose when ordering the schnapps, coffee and schnapps were being served to our left. The service staff's response to a guest's complaint was inappropriate. Instead of addressing the concerns, she stood up with her chest puffed out and reacted rudely, as if the guest was disturbing. This behavior is unacceptable and resulted in us leaving the store immediately after drinking without even having the opportunity to try the food. At the end, the manager or innkeeper tried to escalate the situation with his manner, which turned the entire experience into a real disaster. This kind of treatment of guests is unacceptable and I will definitely give this store a wide berth. It was a disastrous experience that unfortunately ruined any positive impression.

Essen war sehr gut, hatte Semmelknödel mit Rahmsoße und Pilzen. Es war hübsch angerichtet, passend zu dem schönen Ambiente. Das Personal ist extremst freundlich :) Preise sind voll in Ordnung. Portionen sind angenehm, nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig. Den Salat hab ich auch verschlungen, das Dressing war sehr köstlich und die Kerne und Croutons haben perfekt dazu gepasst. Vegetarische Auswahl ist super. :) weiter so! Denn wenn's nochmal nach Heidelberg geht, kommen wir vorbei! :)

Wunderbares Restaurant, in dem auch Räume gemietet werden können. 100% barrierefrei und inkl einer Rollitoilette. Das findet man nicht überall. Wir hatten 4 verschiedene Gerichte. Alle schmackhaft und frisch zubereitet. Niemand hatte was zu beanstanden. Das kann man getrost weiterempfehlen. Portionsgrösse war gut. Preisleistung top. Sehr freundliche Bedienung.

Ich habe meinen Geburtstag dort gefeiert. Personal war sehr nett. Essen war ganz gut, nicht überragend, aber dafür ist es auch nicht so teuer. Ich hätte auch 4,5 Sterne gegeben, leider war nicht genug Personal da, dafür können aber das Personal nichts was da war. Ich würde dieses Lokal dennoch empfehlen.

Waren am Nachmittag dort. Als Paar. Haben nichts gegessen, nur etwas getrunken. War nicht soviel los, haben trotzdem relativ lange gewartet. Bedienung war freundlich. Rauchverbot im Außenbereich. Seltsam. Kann man machen, aber dann auch bitte besser ausgeschildert.

Wir waren etwas zu früh aber der kellner war super nett und freundlich und wir bekamen unseren Wurstsalat und apfelstrudel und waren sehr glücklich mit service, bar und küche.

Das Ambiente und die Einrichtung sind sehr schön und einladend, die Bedienungen waren freundlich und haben einen guten Service geleistet. Das Essen hat leider alles zunichte gemacht…das Kalbsschnitzel hat wie TK aus einem Discounter geschmeckt und leider auch so ausgesehen..geschmorte Zwiebeln hat man auch mehr schlecht als recht gesucht und die Semmelknödel waren leider sehr hart und trocken. Ein plus gibt es für den Salat, der war prima. Leider nicht zu empfehlen, sehr schade!

Der Service und das Ambiente verdienen zweifellos Lob, doch das Essen hinterließ einen enttäuschenden Eindruck. Die Qualität der Speisen entsprachen in keiner Weise den Erwartungen, die man bei einem solchen Restaurant erwarten würden. Zum Bier trinken in schöner Atmosphäre zu empfehlen nur vom Essen würde ich abraten.

Situated on the main pedestrianised street close to the Heidelberger Marktplatz, internally it’s a spacious restaurant and bar across two levels. But it also has the benefit of outside tables on the other side of the pedestrianised Haupstrasse, close to the church. We utilised it for a spot of lunch and a couple of beers and it was perfectly fine in this respect, not exceptional but more than good enough. The only issue we found with this one was that the toilets are upstairs on the third floor and it’s quite a climb and distance if you are sitting outside.

Went there because we wanted German food and because of the good reviews and were really disappointed. Had the lentil feta salad, which was ridiculously small, green leaves topped with a few lentils and some feta cubes. My partner had the bratwurst, which arrived cold and didn't taste good. The Kaiserschmarren were chewy and the half spoon of apple sauce was more of a decoration then part of the dish. On top of it service was super slow (quite friendly though).
