In general, very good food and drinks, however (for Italians) the so-called bruschetta cannot be called such. NON-toasted bread with tasteless tomatoes and "pesto" on top, a mountain of unseasoned salad on the side to hide the bruschetta. The result of the tomatoes on the untoasted bread was bread mush (felt like eating a sponge) Despite this, service, burgers and fries were impeccable. I would stay here again in any case.

Very nice, modern, cozy location in the old indoor swimming pool. Audiences of all ages are mixed, with the twenties and thirties predominating. Very nice, courteous, polite staff. And of course delicious, delicious food. We had the German and a vegetarian burger with fries and then a chocolate soufflé. It was an overall nice visit.

We had breakfast with you on a Sunday morning. We couldn't have found a more perfect end to our trip to Heidelberg. Despite our ugly faces, the smiles of your employees were a highlight of this great hotel. We thank you.

We’ve visited this restaurant twice now, and it’s quickly become one of our favorites! The first time we went, we didn’t expect it to be so spacious, but we were pleasantly surprised by how many seats and different areas it offers. The decor and interior design are very beautiful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes dining here very enjoyable. As for the menu, the prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious. For starters or side dishes, we highly recommend the pizza pockets—they were perfectly prepared, and we enjoyed every single bite. Another standout was the avocado toast, which was flavorful and satisfying. During that first visit, we also discovered they offer a breakfast buffet, which caught our attention immediately. We decided to return specifically to try the breakfast buffet, and it didn’t disappoint. The buffet is available every day, with slightly different hours and pricing. From Monday to Saturday, it runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and costs €11.95. On Sundays, they offer the “Great Urban Sunday Breakfast Buffet,” which runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and costs €17.95. However, the Sunday buffet is so popular that reservations are a must—ideally made one to two weeks in advance. Without a reservation, you’re unlikely to find a spot, especially during peak times. When we finally experienced the Sunday buffet, we were impressed by the variety of dishes available. Although we had expected an even larger selection in a separate area, the options were still excellent, and the quality of the food was top-notch. It was quite busy, as expected, and we noticed that guests without reservations often had to wait or come back another time. Highlights from the buffet included the Frikadelle, which were flavorful and perfectly cooked, as well as the delightful pastry desserts. They offered as well a range of juices, which meant we didn’t need to order anything extra. For families, the restaurant thoughtfully includes a children’s area, so kids can have fun while their parents enjoy the meal nearby. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and we’re already planning to return to try more dishes from their menu. This is definitely a place worth visiting :)

A manageable but varied menu with delicious dishes, fast and friendly service that is also very attentive throughout the meal. Good gin menu. Atmosphere is appealing, but also quite loud when it is at full capacity. There is no cell phone network inside the restaurant - which is generally not a problem, but is problematic with call services.

A wonderfully beautiful restaurant. The urban DNA is reflected very well in the interior design. The staff is super friendly and goes out of their way to make the customers feel special, really great service. The food is as you would expect and the price/performance ratio is top. I've known the Urban Kitchen for a very long time and I still can't get used to this color-inappropriate, not really nice graffiti. We were there yesterday and everything else went great. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. I hope the owners see my review positively. If the graffiti was done by their children, a new coat of paint after five years will definitely be welcome. Anyone with an eye for design knows what I mean by that. Really really hurts because the rest is set up appropriately. Best regards

We were there on New Year's Eve from 9:15 p.m. Very well located for us as we were practically only a 3 minute walk from the hotel. We reserved the table via OpenTable and didn't know the place before. The pictures online don't do the ambience justice. It is very large, festively decorated with lots of balloons on New Year's Eve and otherwise very cool. The employees were all very quick, polite and in a good mood despite the full place. We had cocktail, beer, long drink, water, pizza and Thai curry. The food was very tasty and the portions were appropriate for the price. Cocktail was also good. Without a tip our bill was €54. If I lived in Heidelberg, I would be a regular guest 😊😊.

We are thrilled! Because of the many positive Google reviews, we reserved a table for 5 people for New Year's Eve (short vacation in Heidelberg). The ambience was extraordinary and beautiful, the service was very friendly, attentive and quick (despite many guests on New Year's Eve). The food was a culinary fireworks !!! From starter to the main course. The meat was perfectly prepared, the food was fresh, hot and extremely tasty. Unfortunately we couldn't fit any more desserts.😉 The drinks were a great pleasure and with the generous selection we were spoiled for choice. We ordered the Urban Pizza Rolls, an anti-pasti starter plate for 2, the Urban Chicken Tandoori Salad, the Thai Basil Chili, the Extended Urban Burger, the Urban's Bacon Burger No2, Urban Fries, sweet potato fries and the breadless burger "The German " (see photo). We can completely recommend EVERYTHING! We say THANK YOU, will definitely come back and recommend this great restaurant 100%!

I love this place, it's my favorite to eat in HD. Cozy, clean environment with always friendly and kind staff (this time we were served by Fabienne, what a kind, attentive and diligent girl! THANK YOU). The service is always fast and the food quality/price/quantity is super satisfactory and recommended. I have never had problems getting a table but it is usually busy, it is better to reserve. The cocktails and drinks are also a 10.

Not recommended! The older waiter named Tobias was pushy and unpleasant. Sexual innuendos and bad jokes spoiled our visit. There was no consideration given to someone else's request to be served. Here you should think about who you let work on the guest and who you don't.

Ich habe einen Salat bestellt und war sehr geschockt, als ich beim Essen eine dicke Motte auf dem Salat entdeckte. Sofort habe ich die Kellnerin gerufen, und als ein Kellner kam, habe ich ihm die Situation geschildert. Er hat sich freundlich entschuldigt und mir ein Getränk angeboten. Ich habe zuvor bereits zweimal mit meiner Familie in Ihrem Restaurant gegessen, allerdings nie einen Salat bestellt. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass die Mitarbeiter zwar nett sind, aber möglicherweise überfordert wirken. Da ich großen Wert auf die Qualität meiner Speisen lege, erwarte ich für den Preis, den man zahlt, Sauberkeit, Geschmack und frisch zubereitete Gerichte. Das Restaurant liegt zentral und ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar, was es zu einem angenehmen Ort macht, um Zeit mit Freunden und Familie zu verbringen, besonders im Sommer, wenn man draußen sitzen kann. Dennoch denke ich, dass der Restaurant-Manager an der Essensvorbereitung und den Hygienestandards arbeiten sollte, um solche Vorfälle in Zukunft zu vermeiden. Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Die Atmosphäre ist einladend und entspannt. Meine Frage einen ruhiger gelegenen Tisch zu bekommen kein Problem. Wir wählten den Mittagstisch und wir waren mit dem Preisleistungsangebot des Essens sehr zufrieden. Ich werde ganz sicher bald wieder hingehen, denn es gibt verschiedene Sitzmöglichkeiten in den weitläufigen Räumlichkeiten, was ich sehr schön finde. Die Bedienung hat unsere Fragen freundlich beantwortet. Also alles in allem ein perfekter Rahmen sich mit Freunden zu treffen, oder auch alleine essen zu gehen.

Went there spontaneously because we met a friend in Heidelberg. Were very positively surprised. Very cool location, and the burger is great.

Today we spontaneously went to eat at the urban kitchen. The ambience was great, very clocky and with attention to detail. The food was so-so. A starter was forgotten and then came with the main course, the burgers were sublime. The patties were dry, partly burnt on the edges and cold. The mayo and aioli already had a skin and tasted old. All in all, the four of us expected more and were disappointed.

Found by chance, nice menu, lots of drinks. Swrvice quick and friendly. Food was delicious (burger with 2x meat), fries and 2 dips. Gladly again.. Price/performance are absolutely ok. You can no longer eat cheaply if you expect a bit of quality.

Why is it rated so well here? 2 stars for the nice ambience - the food was an absolute failure. The menu is limited to some Asian food, pizza and burgers. I didn't try the latter, but they looked delicious. But every train station snack bar does a better job of My Thai Gematsche and the pizza tastes like nothing at all, or the first attempt by a student shared apartment with ready-made dough from Rewe and a pack of mozzarella. 2 out of 3 categories are really a total failure and I'm not a gourmet etc. But you should be able to do a BIT better if you're already practicing culinary "cultural appropriation". This is a great place to drink with friends, no question. But I will never eat there again

The food and service are solid. The location is great because there are many tables in different corners. You are something for yourself. The light is also very pleasant and slightly dimmed in the evenings, which creates a good atmosphere. You can't go wrong here.

I've been there three/four times. For breakfast or in the evening. The service is always great, but due to the size it sometimes takes a while for someone to arrive. I always find food delicious. Small menu, but something for everyone. The location is great, but unfortunately a bit noisy, that's the only disadvantage. Everything else really good 👍

A relaxed restaurant, especially for young people.

Very modern restaurant, just outside Heidelberg's old town. The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly and the food came to the table hot and very quickly despite the full house. However, if you prefer it quiet and cozy, this is not the place for you. We sat relatively far back in a corner, which was where the background noise was. I would recommend making a reservation in advance.

Enjoy food in the beer garden when the weather is nice. For lunch for two. Great service good food, good price. Would love to come back.

Top shop. Breakfast buffet for €12 is unbeatable. Plus a selection for everyone and very good quality. The store is busy, which is a given given the price and quality

Really cool place. Walked in and was sat immediately. The servers came by and took our drink orders quickly. Cool design, it's a loy Bigger than it looks from the outside. We had the pizza and Chicken Sandwich. Drinks Vanilla Sky and Hot Chili Twist were great as well. 👍🏼

Very good restaurant with a huge variety of food. (Normal and vegan) Prices are average Helpful staff Ordered vegetable Pizza, My Thai (chicken), My Curry (vegan), Roschetta and seeet potato (appetizer) All were good and delicious. In summer it is quite too hot, no AC 🫠 Recommended!

Sensational... staff, location and food simply great

The dining experience at Urban Kitchen in Heidelberg was exceptional. The veggie burger was incredibly flavorful, and the fries were perfectly crispy, offering a satisfying bite. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. Additionally, the atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Every detail, from the food to the ambiance, contributed to a wonderful overall experience.

The burgers are delicious, but I was disappointed. They offered pasta in tomato sauce for my child. When this food came it was impossible to eat. Even with extra ordered cheese and salt and pepper it was still inedible. I complained and was told that this sauce actually goes on the pizza. If I had been told beforehand, I wouldn't have ordered it. They didn't come to us either, so I had to pay the full price for a complete meal, which went back. I can recommend it for burgers otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.
