I'm still speechless and shocked by what happened to us in the restaurant.
We went to the restaurant on Sunday as a group of six and dined for around €150-170. The food was delicious, but also very expensive. We chose dumplings for our starter and asked the waiter if it was possible to order six instead of five, so everyone would get one. Unfortunately, this was declined, stating that they were "pre-made" portions. As an alternative, we were asked to simply order two portions, which we declined. For the sake of completeness, we would have paid for the extra dumpling, of course.
When it came to the bill, four out of six people tipped, but I rounded up my total from €73.40 to €75. This prompted a snide remark from the server, and the server mentioned in front of all the other guests in the restaurant that she had never received such a low tip from such a group. As already mentioned with the appetizer, the service was unsatisfactory, and on top of that, there were students there who aren't so easy to spare, and in my opinion, we generated good sales.
It's truly outrageous, and this server should be reprimanded internally. I've never experienced such indiscreet customer service in the restaurant industry.
We're still in a period of inflation, and eating out has become a luxury. We should be grateful for every customer.
Very tasty food, very nice and understanding service and if you have any questions you respond in a relaxed manner and answer them easily and understandably
First of all, I am giving this rating based on our experience on Valentine's Day, which is known to be busier than usual. However, such things should not happen in a professionally run restaurant.
But what happened?
We reserved a table about 2 months in advance so that we were guaranteed a place for Valentine's Day.
We were there about 2 minutes earlier and already saw the Dillema through the window: all the seats were taken. When the waitress asked about the reservation in the restaurant, there was only an apologetic look.
When we finally got a seat, we placed our order. After 30 (!) minutes we asked for our drinks - the order was "lost" and had to be re-placed. If it hadn't been Valentine's Day, we would have immediately gone to another restaurant by this point at the latest.
The food came after a while. We had to wait another 5 minutes for cutlery, half of which was still smeared - just disgusting.
In addition, the broccoli was still completely al dente.
The second drink order was lost again and we gave up.
The highlight at the end was that we got the wrong bill from a completely different table.
At least the positive thing was that the food, apart from the broccoli, was very good and looked appealing. We loved the ambience.
It may be a good place for a cozy Vietnamese evening on other days, but we definitely won't be coming back. Somehow everything that could go wrong went wrong. We have never experienced anything like this.
A wonderful restaurant where the food is freshly cooked. The service is also very nice and the atmosphere is cozy and clean. The location on Neumarkt is excellent because there are plenty of parking spaces opposite, although for a fee, but if you drive around a bit, you can also get a free parking space nearby.
We wanted to have our table because it's not necessarily pleasant to eat next to the toilet, so the waitress immediately became very annoyed, rolled her eyes and immediately became rude. We said we could leave if it was so stressful to organize another table, then the guy took the cards away from the table. A very unprofessional behavior. So we got up and left.
He acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us in. Terrible.
We will not come back and advise everyone not to eat there.
