We didn't like it. The table was very dirty. Leftover food sticks to the cracks in the table. The spice bottles were completely smeared and dried. The food came quickly, but it wasn't tasty. I couldn't have eaten it without soy sauce. The bok choy was supposed to be grilled, it wasn't. The peanut sauce tasted rancid. I couldn't finish the very small portion. In the end we didn't get enough. On top of all that, it was too expensive. There were no tips. And we won't go there again.
Absolutely rude, horrible service. The staff opened the door today almost 10 min later than it’s supposed to be, and even when we asked “can we come in…it was 16:35” because its raining and very cold they didn’t not allow us. They not providing check or bill, everything in the ipad and in waiter hands, which is very low level. My sharing plate was broken when waiter give it to us. And when we came inside, we sit down one of the shefs just lay down on the sofa and had toothpick in his mouth…. Absolutely not recommending!!!!!!!!
This afternoon, we had the pleasure of visiting the Vietnamese restaurant Ryu – Vietnamese Streetfood** in Augsburg – and we were captivated from the very first moment. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you sense its special flair: The ambiance is modern, stylish, and incredibly inviting. Designed with great attention to detail, the interior combines traditional Vietnamese elements with an urban, modern touch – you immediately feel at home here.
The service was consistently warm, attentive, and friendly. You can tell that the people here are passionate about their work and truly care about their guests.
The menu is a real highlight – brimming with authentic dishes that not only sound delicious, but are delicious. From bowls and Vietnamese burgers to wok dishes and aromatic curries – there's something for everyone here. We opted for a duck curry, a chicken bowl, and a fresh, crisp mango salad – each dish was superbly seasoned and beautifully presented. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine, just the way you want it.
Families are also taken into account: There are special menus for children, making Ryu a great place for a relaxed visit with the whole family. The drinks menu is also well-stocked – we particularly recommend the homemade lemonades, which are not only a visual eye-catcher but also delicious.
To finish off, we treated ourselves to a typical Vietnamese iced coffee – strong, sweet, and wonderfully refreshing – a perfect way to end our meal.
**Conclusion:** Ryu is a true asset to Augsburg's culinary scene. Top quality, authentic flavor, great service, and fair prices – we'll definitely be back!
Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic Asian cuisine that has more to offer than fried noodles with vegetables.
The staff is super friendly and customer-oriented. The food is very sumptuous and absolutely recommended. From a small hunger to a hot pot, everything is represented. We'd love to come back!
This isn't a hidden jem, it's a hidden diamond! Well worth the ride from the city center.
I took the softshell crab and the red curry duck and both were amazing!
