New Day Vietnam Heritage Food in Berlin

We visited the restaurant after reading the good reviews. The food and service did not meet the expectation, and the vist kind of ruined the evening.

Magnificent, very authentic Vietnamese restaurant with very beautiful decoration and generous and very good dishes! The service and welcome were great and we really had a great time! I highly recommend this address!

I had dinner at this Vietnamese restaurant based on a friend’s recommendation, and I couldn’t be happier! The cozy ambiance and friendly staff made the experience even better. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious—we had a starter, pho with beef, and sticky rice. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already planned another dinner here in a few days. This place has definitely made it onto my list of favorites. The only suggestion I have is to add more dessert options, as there was only one available, and it was scrumptious! (I returned 3 times in a week and I loved it every single time)

Great restaurant in the heart of Friedrichshain. Friendly staff, delicious food and charmingly furnished. You feel very comfortable.

Highly recommended if you pass through Berlin! We had a super good meal, a super nice and warm atmosphere (as well as clean) and super friendly staff who also speak English. They have a wide range of dishes, highlighting duck and options for vegetarians and vegans. The average price is about €15 per person.

Beautiful interior, as well as friendly staff who gave us good recommendations on drinks. Food was delicious, reasonable portions with fresh produce. Only comment on the possibility of lemongrass chicken without it being spicy- I was unable to handle so much spice 😢. But that is not the restaurant's fault. All very delicious!

The waiter looked really sick and sniffly when we were there this week and now I'm sick too. Coincidence? It shouldn't happen that someone sick works in the catering industry and possibly infects customers. It's a shame because otherwise I was happy with the food and ambience but that's not possible.

I had a very bad and dangerous experience. Many allergens are listed on the menu, and the meaning of each letter is written at the back. Nuts were not indicated on the chosen starter. When I ate the first roll, I immediately noticed that there was something wrong inside. I called the waiter who tried to blame me for why I didn't say it at the beginning. I hope this message reaches the management of the restaurant and in the future they will either accurately display all allergens or take them all down so that allergy sufferers have the idea to ask. This experience ruined my night...

Very cosy and tasty food we had the grilled chicken that comes on a sizzling hot plate and it was super fast service. Many of the dishes are naturally gluten free.

Rating reduced to one star after owner response. That's not how you communicate even with dissatisfied customers. Ate pho with tofu. Probably the most boring pho in my life. Noodle, some chunks of tofu, some greens,...water...

My Vietnamese around the corner for years. Nice decor, delicious food with a good price/performance ratio. The kitchen is visible and the staff is very attentive.

A Vietnamese restaurant with an atmosphere. It's nice because there's a lot of space to sit. It was possible to visit without a reservation on weekend evenings. Personally, the rice noodles were delicious.

So... my buddy and I happily came to this store in search of a good Vietnamese because we didn't want to go to meces. At the beginning everything was good, but my order was quickly changed from a 0.2 juice to a 0.4, but now it wasn't so bad. Warning to all allergy sufferers, some spice in the food triggered a mild allergy in my friend. Unfortunately, we were unable to isolate the component. However, the real audacity happened at the end. We wanted to pay for the €42 bill with a small amount and leave a tip of €3 because we weren't blown away like that. We give the note and say "45€" and it is accepted with "Thank you very much, dear" and then stormed into the kitchen. We didn't realize at first that the tip had been increased to €8 and at first we stared at each other in confusion and then left without saying a word because we didn't want to seem stingy.

A place to relax. The music creates an atmosphere of relaxation. I think it's nice that you can sit on the floor and enjoy traditional food like in Vietnam. The food is top. Nothing to complain about. Highest quality. Service is friendly. Toilet incredibly clean and smelling good.

Even though there are Asian restaurants on every corner in Berlin, a visit to New Day is worth it. Friendly service, very tasteful dishes, good value for money and no over-stylized interior. We had a completely successful, delicious and relaxing evening there.

Family dinner, 3 adults with a baby, to whom they provided a Stokke high chair. Beautiful setting, divine food, they even have a couple of dishes on the menu dedicated to young children! Very friendly staff, I recommend it!!

Since I had a child, I was shown to a seat inside, but it was very dark so my eyes were tired. The atmosphere is okay.

Highly overrated for generic Asian food. Had very bad experience recently. The staff has very rude attitude towards their customers. The food is very generic that doesn’t reflect real Vietnamese food opposite to what they are promoting, typical rice/noodles with veggies and the 4 proteins. Again, the atmosphere is completely generic Asian settings, music, and decor. Bathrooms could use a modest cleaning and functional facilities.

Authentic Vietnamese food, all delicious.

The food was okay but there are much better restaurants with similar offerings. The spring rolls were very tasty. Unfortunately, our two main courses were not convincing. The service was average.

Good food, sir, prices okay too

We went to New Day Vietnam with the whole family and had a wonderful time. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made our visit very pleasant. The food was extremely tasty, we were particularly impressed by the authentic Vietnamese flavors. The portions were relatively small, which is of course a matter of taste, but overall we felt very comfortable and can definitely recommend the restaurant. We'd love to come back!

We come here often, very solid restaurant with a variety of Vietnamese dishes. The people who work here are very, very nice and the food has always been excellent.

Very very nice place, located right at the beginning of a street full of shops and clubs. Excellent and very fast service. Very good food and perfect price for the quantities that are put on the plates. For a huge dish like the one in the photo for just 12 euros. Nothing to say! 5 out of 5.

All dishes were very freshly prepared. The sauces went perfectly with it. The grilled duck was great!

Unfortunately the food here has gone downhill. The last few years I've had a generous portion of vegetables on my plate. This time it was a few carrots and bamboo strips, nothing more, very disappointing. Plus a very salty sauce... But the service is always very nice and the ambience is super nice! You know how good food works, please make it like it used to be 💓

We always come here when we are in Berlin. The only spring rolls I know that don't come from a factory. Here we still cook our own food and do it very well. Still quite reasonable prices.

The "waiter" should learn politeness and respect. The portions were very small and the flavor was not inviting Yes, I was with you! Discourtesy and rudeness! Shame on you for not apologizing!

Yes, yes and yes. Go here. I could bet that all the dishes are incredible. I had duck on hot pan and the portion was so huge I couldn't finish it. The flavours are literally 10/10, whole group was very happy (and full) when we left. The prices are way too low compared to the quality of food and service(!!). If I return to Berlin, I must come back. ❤️

Price/performance good. For 10-12€ you get a delicious meal in a pleasant atmosphere. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. A few vegetables with the duck, otherwise it tastes really good. There are also more traditional dishes and not the “typical” Asian dishes. Unfortunately there was a bit of an unpleasant smell in the restaurant.

Been here a few times over the years now, and it's always been good. Great service, consistently good food, calm atmosphere. Occasionally the soundtrack can be TOO calming to the point where we wondered if they were trying to put us all to sleep at the table with 24/7 Eepy Songs to Relax to, but other than that there's really no way to dislike this spot.

Mediocre food. Not worth the visit

I was here with our school class on a school trip. I was happy that there was something decent to eat again after my intestines had been tortured in our hostel over the weekend. I ordered a portion of soup and duck with rice. Soup 10/10; Duck with rice 5/10. The curry sauce was too hearty (greasy) for my taste but still not bad. The service was very nice and the food was ready relatively quickly. I look forward to coming back if necessary and to an exceptional, delicious soup. Found it by chance and loved it. Soup with chicken and noodles first, grilled duck with vegetables as the main course. Very tasty and the vegetables are nice and crunchy. Gladly again.

Great restaurant. We are always very happy to be there. + all dishes are always fresh and delicious + fried duck on a hot pan in peanut sauce, best + nice owner + good atmosphere + great facility + Glazed kitchen, you can watch the preparation + more or less a local restaurant, half the neighborhood eats here 😁 We used to eat here very often because it was always excellent and tasty at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, like everywhere else, it has become more expensive here, prices are still fair and the food is still excellent, but unfortunately we are still rarely there. You just can't afford it as often as you used to.

Ммм цікаві смаки, не схожі на інші азійські заклади, приємний інтер'єр (але чомусь грала одна й та ж сама мелодія в традиційному стилі, так ще й якась з сумними нотками, це було не дуже) Сподобалось все що спробував, було смачно!

The Soup with wonton didn't have the kick the Pho soups have but was still quite tasty.

Inmitten weiterer Restaurants und im Szenebereich in Berlin-Friedrichshain, liegt dieses beschauliche vietnamesische Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und wirkt authentisch, leichte Klaviermusik lässt den Trubel draußen vergessen. Der Kellner war freundlich und schnell, die Küche war sehr schnell fertig. Das Essen war köstlich und lecker, zu einem sehr angenehmen Preis. Es gibt einen Außenbereich an einer befahrenen Straße, Parkplätze sind hier Mangelware und sehr teuer. Besser wäre mit dem ÖPNV zu kommen, der nicht weit weg ist.
