Horrible service! I came here alone. Since I had an appointment nearby and really enjoy Vietnamese food, I followed the reviews and came here. When I thought I was alone, he assigned me a table right at the entrance and asked if there was anything by the window (since the sun was still shining so beautifully and the terrace wasn't open yet), He just turned me away rudely because it was getting busy - the shop was occupied by a few customers at the time, it was around 5:30 p.m. I then decided to just have a little something like soup and spring rolls, as the feel-good factor wasn't there for me. I wasn't even asked about the drink, I just shouted it over the counter, he didn't care whether it was big or small, I was simply served a small beer without asking. The entrance doors were opened during the meal. Since I was sitting at the entrance, I felt this straight away, but I was clearly uninterested. Since the restaurant was becoming more and more unappealing to me, I asked for the bill after a short time, even this couldn't be handed out neatly and laid out correctly - unless it was deliberately dedicated to the imaginary something in front of me. Treating customers and women with respect is definitely different. Unfortunately, great spices and flavor explosions are of little help (for me personally) when the service is so condescending. Maybe I had a bad day... But there will no longer be another one. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant for this reason.

Simply amazing! I had a vegan dish that was lovingly prepared and cooked. Fresh vegetables, lots of special spices I've never tasted before (cardamom nuts, cinnamon sticks, lemon zest, licorice, etc.). The tofu was also incredibly delicious and special. I'll definitely be back very soon!

Unfortunately it's a little weaker... We have been going to Lemongrass regularly since 2018 and were initially very impressed by the exceptional food. At the moment there seems to be more emphasis on the “exterior”, by which I mean the decoration of the food, e.g. with 🌹. Unfortunately the quality of the food this time is not what it used to be. The summer roll was mediocre, only filled with lettuce and glass noodles and relatively dry chicken. Without the special sauce it would not have been edible. The main course was relatively sweet and fatty, the prawns were fried and the fresh ingredients that the host had previously explained to us in detail (sorrel, etc.) have now been replaced by normal additions (corn on the cob, etc.). Maybe it was just a slip-up and the cook is sick...

We have been to Lemongrass several times. A reservation is recommended. On busy evenings it's more like an assembly line. In two hours the table next to us was refilled three times. Overall, fast and nice service, even if communication was sometimes difficult. Prices are a bit high, dishes (starters and desserts) are very clear. Vegan options possible. Dishes are beautifully presented. Toilet is very clean.

Terrible restaurant! We were forced to take other dishes, the boss was choleric and freaked out! My friend was served BUTTERFISH and she felt sick all night. BUTTERFISH even has health warnings we weren't told anything!! The waiters don't even really speak your language and on top of that it was the most expensive meal I've ever paid for! UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO NOT GO THERE AND BE DEDUCED BY THE “GOOD REVIEWS”!!

Four of us were there on a Saturday evening. It was almost like a comedy that we took part in without even knowing it. First we had to move around shortly after we sat down and then the ordering was very hectic. The food was very tasty, but just note that the summer roll starter only comes with a small summer roll. Most people's food always contained small sticks and particles that we couldn't identify. Nevertheless, it was really, really tasty. The portions are also big enough. In between there were always more or less “funny” moments. For example, our table was piled up with the menus from another table... At the end we wanted to order a dessert but we were told that this one was no longer available and no other dessert was offered either. We had a bit of a feeling that we should give up the table. I would order take-away food again but wouldn't voluntarily go to the restaurant again. The decoration is cute, it is very clean and pleasantly warm.

Great restaurant and very tasty dishes. Well-attended Asian gastronomy with a really nice atmosphere. We ate duck, which was very tasty and lovingly decorated. The service was really very friendly, I can't understand the negative reviews. I will definitely go there again and can absolutely recommend Lemongrass.

Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed. First our starter was forgotten and only came when we asked after 1 1/2 hours and then the main course. When we asked how long it would take, we were offered dessert. After more than 2 hours of waiting and 2-3 drinks, we had lost our appetite. When paying, the service just said 'it's Valentine's Day'. But you should also plan realistically as a restaurant on Valentine's Day.

In a larger group we sat quite cramped. The restaurant is cozy and detailed, acoustically challenging. We were all satisfied with the food we ordered, fresh & tasty & plentiful. When we checked out we were informed with a lot of strange humor about why we had to pay overpriced prices. So far everything would be fine. However, communication with the owner took place in an incredibly harsh, imperious tone that lacked any friendliness - both on the phone and on site. Unfortunately, the conclusion is: we won't be going back there even for the best food.

I loved my visit to Lemongrass! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the staff incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was simply outstanding – fresh ingredients, authentic spices and perfectly balanced flavors. If you love Vietnamese cuisine or want to try it, this is the place for you. I was told by the waitress to leave in half an hr after one hour of dinner. My friend confronted him and asked, why he wanted us to leave so soon, he explained that his rent is 8000 euros and he needs to pay that and so on. We were shocked by his answer and behavior. The food is pretty good and the restaurant ambient is nice, but the service is totally missing… Null. You are just a number and they need to sell quickly as possible. Very rude waitress!

The restaurant is very busy, so make sure you make a reservation. The food is good - but not exactly what I know from other Vietnamese restaurants. Not the freshness of coriander, sprouts, chili, peanuts, lettuce... instead it's a bit overloaded, with lots of anise, cloves etc. and very sauce-heavy. We had the "millionaire's fish platter". Unfortunately only parts of it came: no sea bass, no Calmar. Lots of lychees for that. The dishes/photos on the homepage are not realistic. The staff was very nice and friendly!

I have never experienced so many new flavors as I did there - really highly recommended! If you want standard, this is the wrong place, every dish is something special. Important: be sure to bring time. On average, you wait quite a long time for your food, but everything is freshly prepared and prepared with great attention to detail. Definitely worth the wait! We were there for about 2 hours (had the 3-course meal for 2). The price-performance ratio is really more than reasonable. This was the second visit and the next one will definitely come - despite the longer journey. A great restaurant that is second to none!

It's been a long time since we ate here and we stopped in for lunch on a whim. The service was normal. A lot of emphasis is placed on decoration. The rooms are lavishly designed, as is the food. Of course, personal feelings vary. I could rely on decoration that overlays the food over a large area, such as large rose heads with brown stems and whole radiccio leaves. The menu indicates the type of spices to be used. The dish was tasty but challenging. I was focused on sorting out whole cardamom capsules, lemongrass stalks and a lot more so as not to bite them. A non-ordinary version of cuisine. You have to like it.

We were in the restaurant last Saturday after the Titanic exhibition. It was outstanding! We have rarely eaten such good Asian food! Unfortunately we live too far away to be able to enjoy it more often... that's a real shame!

We actually just googled the restaurant by chance and are now totally thrilled! All dishes are creatively put together and offer more than in a normal Asian restaurant. Here we cook with lots of fresh vegetables and exotic spices. And every dish is lovingly and attractively decorated. The prices are absolutely justified for this quality. Thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back!

I was here for lunch and the food was very lavishly decorated. There was even too much stuff on my plate. What particularly surprised me was a cut rose with such a brownish stem on my flesh and some pieces of wood were also buried under the bamboo shoots (be careful when chewing). So you could do without that or use edible flowers instead of the rose. Lunch itself is ok, especially the soup as a starter. I had duck as a main course and it was quite dry, but ok. What I didn't like was that the duck pieces were served on a mountain of bamboo shoots, but they were cooked in a completely different sauce that I didn't like the main sauce tasted good. I didn't understand why two different sauces were used in one dish, it seemed to me like leftover food that was put on top. Otherwise a small drink 0.2 costs €4. Lunch special 14€. The service was quick, but not very friendly, the boss didn't participate in the small talk and didn't even smile - maybe I had a stressful day.

The service is rather slow and not very friendly. The prices are high. The menu sounds good. The organic duck was thinly sliced, a bit bland in taste. The vegetables were very soft, black and burnt at the bottom. The rice portion was way too much and almost cold. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant...there are much better ones.

We are simply thrilled with this wonderful restaurant. The dishes were freshly prepared with delicious spices and vegetables. The duck was perfect. We will definitely come back and can only recommend the restaurant.

Lemongrass is a very good choice if you happen to be in the Ludwigsburg/ Schwieberdingen area and if you've had enough of the Chinese or Italian food places that are ubiquitous all over Germany. It's a cozy place, the menu isn't all too packed with different dishes, which in my book is always a good sign. I had the duck and it was fabulous.

Dreimal dort gewesen - dreimal die gleiche Erfahrung gemacht: Der Wirt ist cholerisch und extrem unfreundlich, sowohl zu Gästen als auch zum Personal. Vor allem, wenn man etwas bestellt, worauf man Appetit hat und das nicht der Empfehlung des Wirts entspricht. Uns wurden die Teller auf den Tisch "geknallt" und während wir aßen, wurde uns die Rechnung serviert. Die Energie ist entsprechend angespannt und man fühlt sich als Gast unwohl. Egal, wie gut die Küche ist, das Benehmen des Chefs ist ein K.O.-Kriterium.

No way we go there again!!!!! We were at this restaurant last year but we're to busy with settling in Germany to write the references. But it's something to tell for sure: EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT SERVICE. The waiter who is wearing the HAT, was SO RUDE. Seems like he really dislikes his job. Unbelievable was that the friend of ours recommended this place as the very delicious Asian food. And no, the food was also very much disappointing. And we just moved to Germany from Asia. So, I would never recommend this place to anyone and will never enter it as well.

The Food: Excellent Asian-Vietnam food! The motto "Food has to look good, food has to taste good, food is medicine!" you come into your own here. The spices make the difference from other restaurants, let alone fast food suppliers... The ambience: Cozy is pretty good. The space in the restaurant is well used... Very atmospherically decorated, with lots of bonsais, which I personally like very much. In summer you can also eat outside in a small "beer garden". The service: The service is very nice, sometimes unconventional, but funny :) The boss likes to give food recommendations, which I'm happy to accept. He also advises on spices. In terms of price, the food is quite upscale, but definitely worth the price!!

We arrived at 9:30 p.m. The restaurant looks very nice and it was very busy. The dishes looked wonderful and smelled delicious too. There was a free table, but the boss (?) didn't want to serve us anymore, even though the restaurant is open until 10:30 p.m. He pushed me and said that he was tired and we should go :-(

The food was freshly prepared and very tasty - some completely new flavors. The wait was quite long (over an hour) and the service needs improvement. (The restaurant itself is very narrow and the waitress was on your shoulder when serving)

This restaurant is very difficult to rate because in my opinion there are two faces there. In addition, it is difficult for me to fully believe all the 5 star reviews because my 2 visits there looked a little different. 🤔 I am very satisfied with the food because it is freshly cooked and uses lots of delicious spices and ingredients. Only the behavior of the staff seems to take some getting used to. The waiter is extremely hectic, even though there was no need for it at 1:45 p.m. on a Sunday. Statements like “just let me do my job” after you asked about the outstanding rice are simply not appropriate. I also wonder how it can be that you get a sweet and a sour shandy at the same time, even though my companion didn't order anything else like me. Despite the waiter asking twice whether the order was correct, another employee of the restaurant came to our table to check once again that the order was correct. However, rice was still served instead of fried noodles and we were a bit surprised where the peanut sauce, which wasn't on the menu, had suddenly come from. (But it was tasty and so no complaints were made). All in all, it was still a worthwhile visit and I didn't regret going there.

The food is generally good and tasty, but not good enough to justify waiting more than 1.5 hours between ordering and eating (!). Only after we were told several times that we were slowly running out of time and that if necessary we would simply have to pay for the drinks and leave without eating, did the dishes arrive. The reason for the delay was "that the dishes were so complicated" (all standard dishes from the menu without special requests). Unfortunately, it didn't make sense to us and was more of a wild excuse. After consulting with other guests, we weren't the only ones who experienced this. It's questionable whether we'll go to Lemongrass again, but in any case we should apparently have a lot of time with us. It's a shame, the food isn't actually bad.
