36 Pho Co in Weimar

I took once Volcano Carbonara and another time a vegan ramen. Both times I got something I did not expect based on the menu description. I’m OK that it’s fusion cuisine and both dishes were just not quite to my taste. But both dishes were half cold, while the second one was supposed to be a spicy ramen soup 😭 But there was no liquid it all

Even five minutes after the end of breakfast you will be served one in a friendly manner! Very plentiful and lovingly served!

The restaurant consists of two buildings. The staff seems very rushed. The food came 10 minutes after ordering, tasted good, but was lukewarm to cold. The sake was also served lukewarm. The waitresses had to go outside and get the food from the building next door. We had to pay a deposit of €50 when making the reservation and this had to be pointed out several times on the invoice or proof was required from us. We wouldn't eat here again.

Nice and simple... we are also regular guests. Rich vegan food. My wife eats gluten-free but it's always ok.

Unfortunately, 36 Pho Co was a big disappointment for me... When I decided to try one of their citizens, I specifically asked not to put any nuts or sesame in the burger, in the form of sauces or anything else. When the burger was served without the fries I had ordered, I was really looking forward to eating this burger. Finally, after the fourth bite, I noticed that I had an allergic reaction and immediately stopped eating. At that moment I asked myself how that could be. I specifically pointed this out to the waitress. Well, I was annoyed and asked the waitress whether there were nuts or sesame seeds in there. She then said no. I then pointed out to her that the burger smelled and tasted suspiciously like teriyaki sauce, which she finally confirmed. I was very upset at the moment because the waitress and the chef were unaware that teriyaki sauce consists largely of sesame oil. After I still had to pay (even though I liked half of my order and had an allergic reaction) I left the store upset. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has severe allergies.

Went there for breakfast as a group. The restaurant was very well attended. Had to wait almost an hour for our food. Fair prices and friendly service.

Since I was in the hotel and restaurant, this will be a double review. About the restaurant: nice service and a nice decor. I think the prices are good. My pho, which I ordered because that's what the shop is called, arrived after 2 minutes! Is that normal? In any case, I found it very tasty. About the hotel: I only had contact with the staff by telephone, but it was still very positive. Check in is very easy. The location is great, although there is no chance of finding a parking space nearby. BUT LISTEN TO ME! The hotel room is so beautifully and harmoniously decorated, it's incredible. I would love to move in! There are also good facilities when it comes to coffee/tea and little things like toothbrushes etc. are also offered. Simply a dream, I'll be back!

Saturday's food was delicious and arrived very quickly. And very friendly

So first of all: the food was very tasty per se. BUT: there was chewing gum in my food that wasn't mine. When I asked the waiters about it, they seemed rather irritated and barely apologized. Told them to take my food off the bill. When I paid, I realized the food was still there. After I mentioned it, the waitress said I got a new plate! The most you can do is give me a discount! Are you crazy? It's not my fault that the chef mixed his chewing gum into my plate. Just disgusting. No recommendation… other things also went wrong with our reservation (9 people)!

Had breakfast at Café PhoCo today. The menu was very varied and international. Service very friendly and accommodating. The highlight was the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. A warm chocolatey explosion in the mouth. You have to try it!

I had the pleasure of eating at 36 Pho & Co in Weimar and absolutely loved it! The ambience is cozy and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was a real highlight - the flavors were wonderfully authentic and fresh. The Pho in particular was incredibly tasty, with a perfectly balanced broth and fresh ingredients. The other dishes were also excellently seasoned and prepared with love. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are absolutely fair for the quality on offer. For lovers of Vietnamese cuisine, 36 Pho & Co is an absolute must in Weimar! I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

Sticky rice with duck: The duck had a lot of fat, sticky rice obviously with turmeric, everything ad libitum..., it wasn't my cup of tea. The menus handed out by the friendly ladies were very worn out due to heavy use. That's better. Maybe I just had a bad day?

We ate at Pho Co and were semi-excited. The service was very nice. But as we were led upstairs, it smelled more and more like a deep fryer. The open kitchen is nice to look at, but the clothes still smell like it for days. The tofu burger was rich and looked good. Unfortunately the taste was a bit sober. If the vegetables had been pickled, it would certainly have been a little tastier.

We stayed in the hotel for one night and had dinner here. It's a busy restaurant, we were allowed to sit outside (without a reservation), the service was quick and friendly, the cocktails were very tasty and so was the food. Typically Vietnamese.

Apartment very spacious, unfortunately no elevator to the 4th floor. Nights very loud outside.

I didn't have a room and just had dinner in the restaurant. Overall a pleasant experience. Service was very good, friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the food was “only” good. The local Phoʻ Mule is topped with gingerale on the spot, which was more interesting than the taste. The spring rolls were also good, but the pho was a bit weak, which can be remedied with the sauces provided at the place.

Very tasty, freshly prepared burgers and phos that will fill you up. Inexpensive and friendly service, which is no longer a given these days. Top recommendation for “quick something to eat” in Weimar. Update from September 8th, 2024, burgers and pho again after a few years, still super tasty and noticeably inexpensive! Lunch for two with drinks under EUR 40! Again absolute recommendation!!!!!

36 Pho Co is situated in a stylish setting, with an outdoor seating area. The restaurant combines traditional Vietnamese flavors with a contemporary flair. During my dinner visit, I savored vegetable rolls and a delightful bowl of rice noodles with coconut and mild Japanese curry. The staff is friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Overall a good recommendation for a short lunch break and also dinner.

It wasn't even that good... First of all, it took forever to order something, I don't think they're designed for sitting for long periods of time. It seems more like: eat quickly and have a drink and then leave. The language barrier also contributed to the rather mediocre experience. We were there on Thursday evening for 9 people. The food was ok - but incredibly dry. It's a good thing there are so many sauces on the table. But that means you no longer have the actual taste. It was something different - but definitely not a place I would have to go to again. I had pasta with curry sauce and actual chicken that was replaced with something vegan. The noodles were cooked so quickly with a bit of curry sauce that I can only say “bland” about the taste. We said - I and my companions had to help with the sauces from the table. The starter prices (rolls), on the other hand, were said to have been very good

We had breakfast at 36 Pho Co as a large group last weekend. The breakfast offering, the service, the presentation of the food and drinks - simply wonderful. The selection is huge. It feels like you're on vacation. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend Pho Co. It's nice that there is such a great restaurant in Weimar.

Very tasty Asian food with little specialties like papaya or dragon fruit. Everything is more in the sweeter direction. Plenty of sauces on the table. I can especially recommend the spring rolls, the Bao Bun Burger was a bit tasteless. Great drinks and great service.

While strolling through Weimar we discovered the Vietnamese restaurant, which was very well attended. We were lucky that a table became available for us to sit at at that moment. The food is very good and the homemade lemonades are also recommended. The staff is friendly and quick.

Really delicious food in the restaurant at the market! Service friendly and quick. The food also came quickly. If you want to eat with chopsticks, it's easy - just ask 😉 Ate inside. Ambience is nice and the seats are comfortable. I would love to come here to eat again! The suite at Theaterplatz was also great! New, modern and furnished with attention to detail. That’s definitely a recommendation too. It is centrally located and you can explore Weimar on foot. For quick supplies, there is a Rewe in the basement.

Wooden class redefined: Seating and tables made of wood and small are a challenge for tall people. The food is delicious and adapted authentic. Good prices and portions.

I can't rate the room, we came several times for breakfast. The ambience and the selection are great, but the breakfast is really very little for the price. You get e.g. B. 4 slices of bratwurst, a pinch of cream cheese and stinky cheese + ham. On top of that, the wooden plate has more decoration than anything else for the price, which is really bad. We always booked a porridge (which tastes very good) but it also costs 10 euros. The service is just that. Since I'm pregnant and couldn't eat stinky cheese, I asked for an alternative. I got a jar with maybe 3 knife-points of cream cheese, which was then charged an additional 2 or 3 euros (I don't remember exactly). The boss served us herself and seemed quite annoyed when I asked for an alternative. We have now moved our regular breakfast local elsewhere. Since we got scrambled eggs, enough fruit, vegetables and a yogurt with oat flakes for 15 euros today, I was motivated to publish the review. Too bad Here you should work on the main breakfast offer, especially on the distribution of the quantity on the plate. We won't be coming back for a while.

The food was good. The place was super crowded and a bit noisy. The place is decorated in a cool way. The service was nice and super fast. However, the extractor hood is a bit weak and the clothes still smelled like they had eaten two days later...

A good place to have breakfast.

1. We were asked to move our seat twice and they didn't even apologize. 2. I found a hair in my pho as soon as I got the food. We didn't complain about that because they were already so unfriendly. 3. They heard us talking and said among themselves our nationality. why? What does our nationality have to do with you? 4. A waiter came and asked if she could clear our plates while we were still clearly eating. 5. Payment with Visa or MasterCard is not accepted. Only EC card is allowed. 6. When we ordered some tap water she told me it was €0.60 but on the receipt it was €1 and when we asked about it she explained that we were charged €1 because the cup of tap water they gave us was a large cup. even though we ordered a €0.60 tap water. Why are you trying to scam your customers for just €0.40? We were willing to tip more than 10% but we didn't tip at all because of your €0.40 trick. You really shouldn't do such behave. I've been here a lot lately but will never visit again.

My family and were stopping through Weimar on our trip to Germany (from the U.S.) and luckily stumbled into this restaurant. We so enjoyed the meal — everyone had glowing praise for their dishes. Highly recommend, especially the sticky rice with duck.

The food is good. The service could be improved a bit. We had to ask for water 3 times before they brought a tiny bottle (25cl). We had to ask for a second one again, which for sure was more expensive than a single big one. Also it looks like a person can't even finish their meal as they come and ask you if you are done while having food in your hand and chewing... What I also found astonishing was the lack of English. Impossible to communicate.

Food was amazing!!! Lemonades were so nice and refreshing!!! Yuzu and matcha BIG YES!!! Bao buns are so soft!!! Spring rolls were too small for the price and presentation was not great! 😣 Some things to improve there. We expected more.

A lot of Staff talking yo each other but no one was taking care of guests. We ate at the Pho restaurant. Got out own menus, hailed the staff. They got 3 things in our order wrong. When they brought the correct fries, they asked if we touched the wrong fries and took them away. Weird. The guy the. The correct sweet potatoes fries were not salted and bland. The pho was good but this place is overpriced. The buns are not Bao buns. They are sweet baked buns. Spring rolls are a rip off at 6€ for 3 bites.

If you can no longer see the original Thuringian cuisine and need something else... this is the place for you!

Not sure if it is healthy but it is for sure very tasty. I typically come here for lunch because in the evening you might have to wait longer for seats, since the food is very good. Many sauces on the side. Bit pricy but okey for what you get. Would be nice if they could offer vegan duck aswell. Great to sit outside in summer. I did not stay in the hotel.

So the restaurant and hotel are across the street from each other. And next to the restaurant is a cafe which is where you check into the hotel. Sounds difficult but really isn't. Get yourself some delicious pho and a Singha at the restaurant, slide next door to check in (they just give you a key fob), and cross the street to the hotel. FYI... Even despite the language barrier, they accommodated us easily. And it was the fastest I have ever received food from time of order I have ever had. It must have been under 2 minutes!

They serve good quality food in Weimar. Especially, their Buncha is quite amazing. However, the attitude of servers is quite disappointing. They often yell at customers which I believe is unacceptable. It reduces the quality overall. I think re-training of servers is very necessary.

I really enjoy eating Vietnamese food on a regular basis and have tried the Mi Tron Chay as well as the Viet Nam Dream and the spring rolls with tofu. The service was attentive and very quick, I really enjoyed the spring rolls. The Mi Tron Chay wasn't my cup of tea and the drink was pretty okay too. However, I don't usually eat the dish, but I was very happy about the vegan alternative. I find the prices relatively high, which may be due to the tourist location. But I would come back again and try the bun.

Started strong and unfortunately has now worn off. The Phò here is and remains the best in the area and I can recommend everyone to give it a chance, but the restaurant is getting bigger and the service is getting worse. This was actually always my go-to spot in Weimar, but now I prefer to go to other, less crowded restaurants. (The branch in Jena is far better)

I think this restaurant is a little too big/busy for its own good. Service was slow and forgetful. The Pho was really lackluster and not on par with others. Barely any meat came with it… mostly onion and noodle. Broth seemed pretty thin. Walking by, the kitchen was a frantic mess with ingredients strewn all over counters.

Don't understand the positive reviews. The positive thing about the restaurant is the interior design and interior. Service completely inattentive and disinterested. Food is bland, lukewarm and without sauce or finesse. I had rice noodles with fish cakes, which are nothing more than lukewarm and dry fish cakes. A full plate when cleared does not trigger any questions or surprise.

Location and service were very good. Unfortunately, the food wasn't to our taste, especially since the glass noodles weren't made from sweet potatoes as stated. My companion had gastrointestinal problems until the evening. Price-performance was okay.

Bei einer Reise nach Weimar waren wir Gäste im 36 Pho Co Guesthouse und mehrmals dort essen. Sowohl die verschiedenen Frühstück-Arrangenents als auch die klassischen Ramen waren super. Burger gibt es auch - die haben wir aber nicht probiert... Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm und unaufdringlich Personal ist sehr freundlich und Preise angemessen.

Außergewöhnlich toll gestaltet das Restaurant in indochinesischen Stil. Tolle Gestaltung Detail mit viel Holz und Dekogegenständen aus Vietnam. Das Essen authentisch frisch zubereitet. Das Personal höflich, zuvorkommend und außergewöhnlich bemüht um den Gast.

Bei meinem zweiten geschäftlichen Besuch in Weimar habe ich wieder Pho Co 36 besucht. Beim ersten Besuch haben mein Kollege und ich Pho gegessen dort. Mir fielen sofort die frischen Zutaten und der besondere Geschmack auf. Pho hatte ich bislang ein paar mal gegessen, jedoch gefiel mir es bei Pho Co bislang am besten. Auch mein Kollege, der schon mal in Vietnam war meinte der Geschmack sei authentisch, wenn auch nicht gleich wie in Vietnam. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden. Diesmal war ich alleine dort und wollte eines der anderen Gerichte probieren. Da ich gerne Sommerrollen, Reis- und Nudelgerichte mag, habe ich mich entschlossen, eines dieser zu wählen. Als Vorspeise habe ich mich für GỎI CUỐN GÀ entschieden (Reispapierrolle mit Hähnchen). Das Hähnchen war saftig, die Kräuter und Gemüse waren frisch, die Mango in der Rolle eine fruchtiger Ausgleich und das eingelegte Gemüse gab dem ganzen einen Kick. Dazu gab es zwei Soßen: eine Erdnuss- und Chillisoße. Die Chillisoße ist etwas flüssiger und mit Essig, so wie es rausschmeckt. Die Erdnusssoße dafür dickflüssiger. Die Soßen waren ganz ok, die Chilisoße hätte ruhig schärfer sein können. Wahleweise gibt es Siratcha, Siratcha-Mayo, Hoisin-, Fisch- und Sojasauce am Tisch als Alternative oder zum nachwürzen von Speisen. Als Hauptspeise hatte ich das BÚN BÒ NAM BỘ, ein Reisnudelgericht mit mariniertem Rindfleisch. Serviert wurde es mit einem Schlitz Limette. Das Fleisch war schön zart, die Kräuter und Gemüse auch hier frisch und erfrischend, eine Nem-Frühlingsrolle die in der Mitte durchgeschnitten war, war schon kross, wahrscheinlich frittiert, aber eines der Highlights des Gerichts wie ich finde. Nachgewürzt mit ordentlich Fisch- und Sojasauce hat es nochmal besser geschmeckt. Die Portion war groß finde ich und für 14,90€ finde ich den Preis angemessen für die frische und gute Küche. Insgesamt hat sich mein Besuch sehr gelohnt, satt war ich auch nach einem langen Arbeitstag.
