Great authentic pub with various beers on tap. The food was really great, we had whole and duck.

Good home cooking at fair prices. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly and quick. Update: We were here again on January 4th, 2025 and what can I say it is still very good.👍😋👏

I can only agree with the rating because of the very good price-performance ratio. Food was really good and it came quickly after ordering from the extensive menu, even though there were a lot of guests that day 👍 Will be happy to take a look again by Horst C. posted!

The caprese starter was a joke, and €12 for that? A 'green bed' (e.g. ruccola, basil), topped with a few halved, small (tasteless) cherry tomatoes and 8 balls of mini mozzarella, probably the kind you get at discount stores. I was served straight away. Small stake for big winnings. Running. The pizza (Capricciosa) was halfway okay. Halfway through, because the ultra-thin base wasn't fully baked and was therefore rubbery. For reasons I don't return food to have it re-served to me. With 3 stars, the rating for the food is almost too good. Only 2 points would be a little unfair. The pizza was large, reasonably well topped and tasted okay. Actually, I ALWAYS try the tiramisu when I go to an Italian restaurant for the first time. After the starter, I preferred to forego the experiment. The service was ok (service according to the rules), so 3 points. Just changed to 2, I've been sitting in front of the empty glass for 10 minutes, I'm the only guest. The ambience: if you want a nice restaurant, you're better off going somewhere else. Here you sit table to table, no privacy possible. It's more of a sit-down delivery service. But they tried to make everything nice. It was clean too. So so far ok. In short: I was blinded by the previous good reviews. Including 1 drink (shandy) it was 30€, which in my opinion wasn't worth it.

I would love to come back here. Friendly service, good food, cozy atmosphere and moderate prices. This restaurant is run with heart. That's why I give it 5 stars in all areas. The Raaschi says thank you 😊👍🏻

We ate here twice. Both times it tasted excellent.

I can't understand the hype about good food there. Noodles with vegetables are a horror. The noodles were so oily, they literally dripped. Duck with rice. The Oberhammer, no normal sauce included. Soy is sold as a spicy sauce. They'll never see me there again. Others are better, offer sauces and are cheaper.

We had pre-ordered and were "warned" by friends that the food tasted very good, but the ambience was not particularly nice. Well, there aren't two of us together get confused. We positioned ourselves and the drama began. In addition to the actual food and drink menu, there were also a lot of pieces of paper. We couldn't pay with a credit card, the table number that we can only use to pay at the checkout and another piece of paper with various offers. Then the first service staff came and asked for food and drink. We didn't know exactly what we were eating so we could only order food and drinks once. 2 minutes later another waitress came and asked about food and drink requests. We told you that we had already ordered and now we would like to order the second meal. What happened. Well, only the second meal and drinks came. But the first meal was simply forgotten and only served without excuse when asked. The bottle of wine also came, but without a cloth so that the bottle could be wiped off from the ice water. So...the food was good and tasty, but the ambience and service were 2 to 3 stars. As a note...I've never seen...a huge chandelier in the kitchen, but the one in the dining room remained unlit.

Our experience in the bar of the Leonardo Hotel in Weimar, i.e. the bar of the Restaurant Esplanade, was overall solid with a few weak points. The cocktails were excellently mixed, thanks to the dedicated bartender, who told us during the conversation that he was training to become a mixologist. The bar itself offers a pleasant ambience, but this was marred by the bar menu. This consisted of loose A4 sheets of paper on a clipboard and therefore didn't look very appealing. In addition, the selection of cocktails was far too limited for a bar of this size with only four options, although there was an extensive selection of alcohol types. However, the quality of the cocktails themselves were excellent. Overall our visit to the bar was a 4 out of 5, with a lot of potential for improvement, particularly if the menu presentation and drink selection were improved. We wish the talented bartender much success on his path to becoming a mixologist.

The food was okay, but we had to wait longer to place our order even though it wasn't that busy. The portions were rather small.
