Arno's Restaurant in Weimar

A very well-kept and cozy restaurant with friendly staff - that's how it should always be ❤️ We were 4 girls and really enjoyed it, the food was perfect! I ordered the veal and I can't remember when I've eaten such tender liver - so delicious! If you're touring Weimar, it's a MUST to stop here! Highly recommended!!! 👍🏼🫶🏼❤️

I give this restaurant 4 stars because I found the staff particularly nice, everything went really quickly... The only catch here is that the food is only served in one direction, which means there is a lot of big and heavy food to eat and little for a quick meal...😕

Met at Eat the World. The tartare was very good. The dumplings tasted good too. The sour meat was also very good. The service is very nice and professional. We booked a table again for the next day.

I was in Weimar with my wife last Wednesday (September 25th, 2024) and also visited "Arno's" on Frauenplan at lunchtime. We enjoyed everything very much: in addition to the view of the Goethehaus, especially the friendly service and the excellent lunch; I've never eaten such tasty salmon noodles (with a really exquisite salmon steak!) before, chapeau!

A nicely decorated restaurant in a central location with friendly staff and reasonable prices. The meal was an experience for the eyes and the palate. Any intolerances were responded to without any fuss or extra charge! We were there three times in two days.

You can eat excellently here. The map isn't too big, but you can find what you want. Coffee and iced coffee are also recommended here. The service is very friendly, the atmosphere is completely fine. If the weather is good, you should sit outside as you can see a lot there.

Ate outside. Everything was great, the food was great, there was even a vegetarian version with Thuringian dumplings. Very friendly and fast service. Really highly recommended.

The staff doesn't speak English, we ordered two coffees and wine, we got one coffee. You can pay by card from €10.

Simply sensational. Traditional Thuringian cuisine freshly interpreted. The brawn - a poem. The fried potatoes are crispy and the tartar sauce is homemade. The roulade with dumplings - that's how it has to be. Unfortunately we are only in Weimar for one day, otherwise we would eat up and down the menu. Then there is the view of Goethe's home. 10 stars from us! Susan and Bugs

Below average for us,...the worst veal liver I've ever eaten. My wife had sauerbraten, which wasn't what she normally has. Not recommended for us, but tastes are different.

Went to Weimar for a little holiday visit. Have eaten here twice. All the waitresses were very friendly, attentive, accommodating. The food was delicious, fresh, and the combinations were great. A visit is worth it!

There is hearty German cuisine here. We had roulades, which were unfortunately hard and for 23 euros. We got a cappuccino as compensation, which is better than nothing, but for the price that shouldn't happen. The food our companion served was okay (liver and sauerbraten). The friendliness of the service was moderate, and tips were taken for granted. The atmosphere is cozy and everything was clean. We would still come back again. There are much better restaurants with German cuisine in Weimar.

We ate there before a concert and absolutely loved it! Great food and friendly, accommodating staff who aren't above having fun. Next time we're in Weimar, we'll go again!

We had dinner there yesterday, July 15, 2024. I had the Kasslerburger, when I read the menu I thought it was a rare "composition". But I have to say, very pleasantly surprised, simply delicious!!! I didn't eat the mayo and ketchup with the fries. That would have spoiled the great taste. My wife had the beetroot risotto and loved it as much as I did. There is also friendly service staff there.

We were here twice and each time we were warmly welcomed and looked after. The atmosphere is very harmonious and cozy. The dishes were all very, very tasty. A reservation is definitely an advantage as the restaurant is busy.

Wir waren mit 9 Freunden dort zum Abendessen. Das Restaurant bietet traditionelle lokale Küche mit saisonalen Angeboten, wie Spargelvariationen. Speisen waren überwiegend frisch zubereitet. Überraschend war ,das es zwei Sorten Thüringer Klöse gab, die einen waren locker, geschmackvoll und mit Semmelkern, die anderen fester, heller und sehr homogen. Der Service war angemessen gut.

Great restaurant with live music on weekends

Auf der Suche nach leckerem Kuchen in Weimar wurden wir hier fündig. Wir hatten einen super leckeren Apfelstrudel mit Vanilleeis und Sahne. Wir hatten Glück und bekamen einen gemütlichen Platz am Fenster. Das nächste Mal werden wir zum Mittagessen kommen.

Dieses urige und gemütliche Restaurant, das sich direkt gegenüber des Goethehauses befindet, hat uns positiv überrascht. Kaffee und Kuchen, und das Bier, waren wirklich sehr gut. Das Team in Arno's Restaurant war äußerst freundlich und engagiert, was unseren Besuch besonders angenehm gestaltet hat. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war einladend, und es war leicht zu erkennen, dass hier auf Sauberkeit und Gästekomfort Wert gelegt wird. Auch die Toiletten waren in einem tadellosen Zustand. Insgesamt war unser Besuch bei Arno's Restaurant äußerst zufriedenstellend, und wir können diesen Ort allen empfehlen, die freundlichen Service und eine urige Atmosphäre schätzen.

Mit einer Stadtführung von Eat the World haben wir das Lokal kennengelernt - und spontan einen Tisch für abends gefragt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Einrichtung modern und gemütlich, das Essen sowohl traditionell und gleichzeitig modern inspiriert. Hab noch nie zuvor so hübsch drapierte Königsberger Klopse gegessen 😉

Waren hier zur Klassenfahrt. Die Bedienung war sehr nett zu uns und es war in allem ein schönes Erlebnis hier.

The tables in the courtyard we’re comfortable and the staff friendly. The menu choices were not large but the local fare with a twist was nice. Meatballs with beet mash and pork with frites (thick slice, bacon wrapped with salad on a bun). Both tasty and filling.

Wir sind 2 Tage in Weimar und waren an beiden Tagen hier essen. Warum? Weil die Huer arbeitenden Menschen echt richtig freundlich, flexibel und die Küche authentisch ist. Unsere Sonderwünsche und die der anderen (teils multinational) Gäste wurden sämtlich erfüllt. Das Essen war fantastisch!!!!

Leckere deutsche Hausmannskost. Wir waren in unserem Kurzurlaub gleich zweimal hier. Sowohl die Roulade, als auch der Sauerbraten und die Kalbsleber haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Im Sommer kann man wunderschön draußen sitzen, mitten in der Weimarer Innenstadt.

Das Essen war der absolute HAMMER!!!! Super lecker, alles frisch!! Die Bedienung war locker und freundlich! Hätten wir gewusst wie mega gut es dort ist, wären wir jeden Abend hingegangen...so hatten wir leider für den nächsten Abend schon beim Griechen reserviert.....Arno's Restaurant kann ich jedem mehr als nur empfehlen!

Wenn man immer mal wieder wo anderes essen möchte, kommt man auch mal woanders hin. Nicht wo schon alle Tische reserviert sind. Das Essen war lecker, die Bedienung war freundlich und auch wenn ich da noch so einen speziellen Wunsch hatte. ... ;-) Das hat auch gut funktioniert.

Tout est dans le titre, accueil sympa, ambiance familiale. Le Strudel a bien fini ce repas de bolets bais en sauce à la crème accompagnés de Klösse soyeux et d'un vin blanc local très agréable.

Wir wäre nur für Getränke vor Ort. Gefallen hat uns vor allem der freundliche Service aller Mitarbeiter, Wir waren zweimal dort und egal wer uns bediente, es ging relativ flott und alle waren sehr freundlich. Ich möchte das wirklich mal betonen, denn der Personalmangel macht auch vor Weimar und dem "Arno" nicht Halt. M.E. viel zu wenig Personal für die vielen Tisch draußen. Und daher eben mein Lob. Die Getränkeauswahl war gut, auch wenn ich über die vielen "halbtrockenen" Weine überrascht war.

Sehr schöne Lage direkt zwischen dem Goethehaus und dem Goethebrunnen, das besonders in der Abendsonne. Leckerer Flammkuchen. Traditionelle Gerichte, die saisonal ergänzt werden (z.B. mit Pfifferlingen). Sehr bemühtes Personal, das versucht den Aufenthalt der Gäste so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Manchmal muss man etwas warten, bis man bedient wird, aber es gibt keinen schöneren Ort, an dem man warten kann.

Das Essen und die Getränke waren perfekt. Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service. Ein toller Platz zum verweilen und genießen!

Das Essen war grandios und der Service sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Direkt gegenüber vom Goethehaus gelegen, könnte die Lage nicht besser sein. Wenn man drinnen am Fenster sitzt, hat man einen tollen Blick aufs Goethehaus und den Brunnen am Frauenplan. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Essen war nur aus Fertigprodukten(Knödel, Ksrtoffelpüree) Thüringer Brstwurst wurde wahrscheinlich in der Frieuse gebraten. Essen war nicht empfehlenswert. Service war gut.
