Very centrally located, right next to the Wittumspalais, yet a quiet and pleasant place. For me, the nicest and best Italian restaurant in beloved Weimar. Mediterranean hospitality, extremely friendly staff, and authentic cuisine. The pizzas are very large, original, generously topped, and absolutely delicious. Also available for takeout. 😋😋😋🙏🙏🙏😎😎😎

This is a beautiful little restaurant in the middle of the city, walking distance from all things that are interesting to tourists! I had spaghetti Bolognese and it was delicious! The bathroom was clean too. You can pay by card, and the waiter was super nice. I'd come back anytime! We were there on a friday and it was relatively quiet, perfect after a busy day.

A carbonara with Thuringian smoked bacon. Not authentic, but regional and deliciously interpreted.

We had pizza, salcissia piccante, and quattro stagione. We drank the house red and white wine with it. The pizzas were thin and perfectly cooked. The house wine was above average. Friendly service. We would come back.

It was enough to fill you up. The pizza dough is flattened in a machine and is then so dead... No bubbles, no crust, just dead. It has nothing to do with tradition, just as the beer served has nothing to do with "tapping art." But as a beer corpse, it went well with the "pizza"! Rather poor value for money!

We ordered a total of 14 pizzas to go, and they were all ready within 15 minutes. The value for money is absolutely top-notch! Highly recommended.

Original Italian carbonara with egg with the appropriate flair. Service was friendly and attentive. Pleasantly in the background and always there. The location is a bit narrow and therefore not quite as comfortable. There is no parking space as it is located in the city center on the shopping street. Nevertheless, we are very satisfied and will come back.

Unfriendly and really very mediocre food. You can tell it's not really an Italian restaurant. In the end we were also cheated. They charged significantly more than what was on the card. Unfortunately we noticed it too late.

The caprese starter was a joke, and €12 for that? A 'green bed' (e.g. ruccola, basil), topped with a few halved, small (tasteless) cherry tomatoes and 8 balls of mini mozzarella, probably the kind you get at discount stores. I was served straight away. Small stake for big winnings. Running. The pizza (Capricciosa) was halfway okay. Halfway through, because the ultra-thin base wasn't fully baked and was therefore rubbery. For reasons I don't return food to have it re-served to me. With 3 stars, the rating for the food is almost too good. Only 2 points would be a little unfair. The pizza was large, reasonably well topped and tasted okay. Actually, I ALWAYS try the tiramisu when I go to an Italian restaurant for the first time. After the starter, I preferred to forego the experiment. The service was ok (service according to the rules), so 3 points. Just changed to 2, I've been sitting in front of the empty glass for 10 minutes, I'm the only guest. The ambience: if you want a nice restaurant, you're better off going somewhere else. Here you sit table to table, no privacy possible. It's more of a sit-down delivery service. But they tried to make everything nice. It was clean too. So so far ok. In short: I was blinded by the previous good reviews. Including 1 drink (shandy) it was 30€, which in my opinion wasn't worth it.

I was passing through looking for a good Italian restaurant to have a bite to eat in the evening. The menu featured spaghetti arrabiata. I preferred penne and that wasn't a problem. It also tasted really delicious. Unfortunately there was no side salad, which was categorically denied by the waitress, but only a large mixed salad for €11. I found that a bit excessive. Affogato was not listed among the Italian coffee specialties. I think the restaurant is unnecessarily foregoing sales through its salad policy and if you have an espresso machine you could conjure up an affogato in 2 seconds with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Good value for money. House wine 🍷 from “own cultivation” from the Marche surprisingly good 😋 for the price. Pizza base with a diameter of 40 cm is very thin and generously topped. Bottom line: no frills on the menu, but honest food.

Pasta dishes expensive and not special, pizza was good, drinks extremely expensive, 0.25 beer 3.40 euros, 0.4 MezzoMix 4.50 euros. Waiters friendly and attentive.

The pizza was completely okay, but nothing more, absolute standard without sophistication. Overall, no culinary revelation.

It was really nice there! Even though the restaurant is right next to a “busy” road, you don’t get the feeling that any of it is a nuisance. The food was super tasty and the price-performance ratio was exactly fair. Service was super nice and polite, although some service staff were always walking around outside, which gave me the feeling of being watched. Otherwise everything was really perfect ⭐️!

The pizzas had a nice thin base and plenty of toppings, but they didn't taste like anything. The tomato sauce had no fruity acidity or any other taste and the artichokes were hard and sometimes really thorny (I only know of very cheap quality). When asked about the artichokes, they said they were even fresh. I can't believe it. This is something you would otherwise declare on the menu, like “fresh mushrooms”. I'm also disappointed with the service. In the end, when I commented on the “taste” of the pizza, we weren’t even offered at least one espresso on the house. I find that really sad and for me it has nothing to do with customer service.

The service is very nice, but the pasta arrived partly cold and warm, as if it had come from the microwave. Among other things, it was an average tomato sauce with cold mozzarella pieces on top. For €12 I would have expected something different.

Very friendly service: because we liked it so much, we came back on the second day of our visit to Weimar and had made a reservation for it. We had chosen a table inside: it was no problem to sit outside. Delicious pizzas, small but good selection. Price of a pizza: 13-15 euros. Absolutely recommended!

Geheimtipp in Weimar 👍 Wir waren sehr zufrieden und mit unserem Besuch. Das Essen (Fisch) war super und hatte ein unschlagbares Preis -Leistungsverhältnis. Dazu die sehr gute, angenehme Unterhaltung mit dem Chef - wir kommen garantiert wieder 👍

Wir waren Samstagabend spontan, somit ohne Reservierung dort essen und es war wirklich sehr gut. Ich hatte die falsche Vorspeise bestellt aber das war ein sehr guter Fehler - es war wirklich lecker. Meine „Ausversehen“ Vorspeise war Carpaccio und das ist sehr zu empfehlen. Die Pizzen waren gut.

Great italian restaurant - Lunch offer are a bargain.

Giuseppe ist eine feste Größe in der Stadt. In regelmäßigen Abständen sind wir dort zum Mittagessen. Da vorgekocht wird und man sich alles unkompliziert zusammenstellen kann, eignet sich ein Besuch auch in der Mittagspause.

Schneller und freundlicher Service, Essen sehr gut, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Beste Carbonara seit langem.

Am ersten Tag hatte ich Tortelloni bestellt, am zweiten Tag eine Pizza . Beides sehr lecker. Ich würde wieder dort essen gehen.

Unglaublich leckere Pizza (Rucola) mit sehr dünnem und fluffigem Teig, dazu schönes Ambiente. Auch die Pasta schmeckt super. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Ambiente, speziell der Außenbereich, lädt zum Verweilen ein und hat uns ebenfalls gut gefallen. Wir haben zwei sehr leckere Mittagsgerichte gehabt und waren sehr zufrieden. Bodenständig waren das Essen, der Preis und die Bedienung. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen aber Gourmet und etepetete geht natürlich anders.

Wirklich sehr lecker. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, das Personal freundlich und die Pizza wirklich sehr gut.

Als wir uns heute in den Außenbereich des Al Dente setzten, wussten wir noch gar nicht, was uns erwarten sollte. Wir bestellten Bruschetta vorweg und unsere Getränke. Wir haben uns schwer getan uns eine Hauptspeise auszusuchen. Der Kellner blieb freundlich und gelassen. Als er dann die Bruschetta brachte, bestellte ich eine Pizza und meine Frau Pasta. Die Bruschetta haben uns voll überzeugt. Mit jedem Bissen fühlte man sich wie in Italien. Aber dann kam die Pizza und die Pasta. Für die Pasta bekam meine Frau auch extra Parmesan gereicht. Ist heute nicht bei jedem Italiener Standard. Meine Pizza wurde per Hand geformt und belegt, was man an der Form der Pizza gut erkennen konnte. Der Teig war dünn und knusprig, die Tomatensauce war fein abgestimmt und gut verteilt, die einzelnen Komponenten auf der Pizza waren genau abgestimmt. Es war nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig Belag auf der Pizza. Dies war die beste Pizza, die ich je gegessen habe. Der Kellner war stets aufmerksam und erkundigte sich nach unserem Wohlbefinden. Jeder, der nicht auf Billigpizza steht und einen kulinarischen Urlaub in Italien machen möchte, sollte in das Al Dente gehen.

Für 6 Euro kann man sich in der Mittagspause z.B. aus einem kleinen und wechselnden Menü sein Lieblingsessen aussuchen und in dem recht gemütlich eingerichteten Ambiente verzehren. Der Koch belädt noch selbst die Teller, was irgendwie sympathisch ist. Das Essen ist schlicht aber lecker, nur die Portionen leider manchmal etwas zu klein. Für einen Snack oder die Mittagspause aber gut geeignet.

We were brought here by friends who live in Weimar - they lunch here nearly every week. Every day a small selection of main dishes are cooked, select one, select your pasta and you have lunch. Coffee is also excellent.

Enkel open voor lunch! Perfect wanneer je aan het wandelen bent: ligt op 100 meter van Herdersplatz. Zeer populair bij de bewoners, die Giuseppe. Je kan er eten voor 6 €. Wij namen er met paddenstoelen en ricotta gevulde tortellini, geserveerd met een pittig slaatje. Pintje bier, of glaasje wijn erbij, koffie na en met twee heb je genoeg gegeten voor nog geen 20 €! De tortellini waren heerlijk!
