Altweimarische Bierstube in Weimar

Super tolle und urige Bierstube... Wurden herzlich empfangen und hatten ein super Service.

Es war ein sehr schönes Erlebnis, sehr freundliches Personal, schöne Plätze am Platz und gutes Essen, die Küche ist bis 21:30 Uhr geöffnet.

Das beste Eisbein das du jemals essen wirst. Dieser Ort ist unbezahlbar.

Eine richtige urige Bierstube, wie man sich das vorstellt. Rustikale Küche, freundliche Bedienung und tolle Sprüche an der Wand. Und einen leckeren 🍐 Birnen-Sprtz

Uriges Lokal, das wir - wenn mal wieder in Weimar - immer einmal besuchen. Netter Service und gutes Essen. Dennoch ein klein wenig Kritik: Die Thüringer Klöße sind etwas zu trocken und zu fest. Da ist deutlich Luft nach oben. Der Wein schmeckt ja, kommt aber aus Rheinhessen. Ja, wo sind wir denn??? Aber wir kommen wieder....

die Spitzenbewertung mache ich für die Kategorie "einfache Gaststätte mit Ambiente" und nicht für ein Feinschmeckerlokal. Das ist es nicht. Weitgehend original belassene alte Gaststätte mit teils einheimischem Publikum und wenigen aber guten ebenso einheimischen Gerichten. Preislich moderat, Portionen für einen verfressenen Menschen wie mich mehr als hinreichend, Qualität rustikal - gut und optisch ansprechend angerichtet. Service überraschend schnell, Bier kommt nach 1 Minute, Essen nach 15. Leider wohne ich nicht in Weimar sonst wäre es mein neues Stammlokal. Lage direkt gegenüber Goethehaus. Haben auch außensitze, wenn man unbedingt frieren oder gebraten werden will. Habe da an 2 Abenden gegessen. Haben 3 einheimische Sorten Bier v Fass.

Sehr gute Hausmannskost, dazu äußerst freundliche Bedienung in einer urigen Kneipe. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

★☆☆☆☆ Der Service dieser Mitarbeiterin war leider einer der unfreundlichsten, die wir bisher erlebt haben. Wir waren heute als Touristen in Weimar unterwegs und entschieden uns spontan für dieses Restaurant zum Mittagessen. Bereits zu Beginn wurden wir von einer Mitarbeiterin in einem unfreundlichen Ton angesprochen. Als wir versehentlich einen Stuhl bzw. Tisch des benachbarten Cafés bewegten, rief sie laut: „Hallo! Hallo! Wenn Sie bedient werden möchten, müssen Sie an unseren Tischen sitzen.“ Der Tonfall wirkte eher belehrend als freundlich. Wir ließen das zunächst auf sich beruhen und bestellten zwei Gerichte. Da unser Kind seinen Mittagsschlaf machen musste, fragten wir nach einiger Zeit höflich, ob die Speisen direkt zum Mitnehmen verpackt werden könnten. Die Antwort war, dass dies schwierig sei, weil keine Verpackungen vorhanden seien, und dass die Zubereitung ohnehin 20–30 Minuten dauere. Wir erklärten, dass wir lediglich das fertige Essen mitnehmen möchten. Daraufhin hieß es knapp: „Ich frage nach.“ Kurz darauf kam die Mitarbeiterin zurück, stellte die Speisen einfach auf den Tisch und sagte nur: „Wir können das nicht verpacken.“ Als wir mit dem Essen beginnen wollten, bemerkten wir außerdem, dass für vier Personen nur drei Messer gedeckt waren. Ich bat höflich um ein weiteres Messer. Zunächst kam keine Reaktion. Als ich die Bitte wiederholte, erhielt ich lediglich die Antwort: „Ich habe gehört!“ Auch dieser Umgangston war unnötig schroff und unfreundlich. Als ich darauf hinwies, dass etwas mehr Höflichkeit angebracht wäre, rechtfertigte die Mitarbeiterin ihr Verhalten damit, dass wir die Gerichte selbst bestellt hätten, nicht nach der Zubereitungszeit gefragt hätten und nun plötzlich unter Zeitdruck stünden. Dabei ging es mir gar nicht um die Wartezeit, sondern ausschließlich um den respektvollen Umgang mit Gästen. Der schwerwiegendste Punkt war jedoch ein anderer: Ich hatte ausdrücklich ein alkoholfreies Bier bestellt, erhielt aber stattdessen ein normales Bier mit Alkohol. Eine solche Verwechslung sollte nicht passieren. Viele Gäste bestellen alkoholfreies Bier bewusst – etwa aus gesundheitlichen, religiösen oder verkehrsrechtlichen Gründen. Hier ist besondere Sorgfalt erforderlich. Am Ende mussten wir uns selbst behelfen und kauften im benachbarten asiatischen Restaurant einige Take-away-Boxen. Dort wurden wir ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit behandelt – ein deutlicher Kontrast zu unserem Erlebnis hier. Das Essen war zwar in Ordnung, aber der unfreundliche Service und insbesondere die Verwechslung zwischen alkoholfreiem und alkoholhaltigem Bier haben unseren Besuch leider überschattet. Deshalb können wir dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

Hier ist die Zeit stehen geblieben. Essen wie bei Großmutter, ohne Widerrede.

Ich glaube, es war das leckerste Essen, das ich je in Weimar gegessen habe. Tolle Atmosphäre und angemessene Preise.

Sehr freundliche und herzliche Bedienung – der Kellner war aufmerksam und sympathisch. Das Essen war hervorragend, die Portionen großzügig und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut überzeugend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Unser großer Hund war willkommen.

Uriges Lokal, sehr gutes PLV, gute Getränke, leckere Speisen. Aber eher für Fans der einfacheren Gastronomie (was absolut nicht abwertend gemeint ist). Weiter so.

Sehr nette Bedienung und gut bürgerliches Essen zum fairen Preis. Etwas in die Jahre bekommen aber sehr gemütlich.

Perfekt. Klassische Bierstube, super Bedienung, gutes, perfekt gekühltes Bier, Hackepeter ist sehr zu empfehlen.

A charming restaurant, simply superb, just as it should be, and in such a historic city... Amazing!!!

This restaurant can be highly recommended. You're surrounded by a quaint, rustic atmosphere, small but perfectly formed. They serve delicious local beers and excellent German cuisine. The owner runs the place (in our case) all by herself and serves guests promptly, often with a witty remark. So, if you're in Weimar, you should definitely plan a visit.

Good food at a reasonable price

Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with my order. The liver was tough and dry, and the mashed potatoes seemed rather bland and not very fresh. Overall, the dish unfortunately didn't live up to my expectations. No card payments accepted.

The Thuringian bratwurst was delicious as always, the sauerkraut was well seasoned, and the mashed potatoes were even freshly made.

The food tasted absolutely delicious.

Great regional draft beers and regional food at reasonable prices. We'd love to come back.

Tropical night in a towel: Perfect!

Twelve of us registered for dinner and celebration. And we had a fantastic evening. The food was traditional, rustic, but really good, the drinks were plentiful, and the service from waiter Max was an event in itself. Initially very quiet and unobtrusive, diligently attending to his guests' needs, the payment round at around 2:30 a.m. became the entertaining highlight of the evening! Fantastic! Firstly, he was fully informed about who had what and how much, and then he gave us eloquent and entertaining insights into the house, the cuisine, and all sorts of interesting facts! Highly recommended! But folks, bring cash; only cash is safe, and the ATMs around the corner are no longer accessible after 11 p.m.! We came back the very next evening! 👍👍

A lovely place to eat on the terrace because Weimar is very pretty in general...and the views of the square are ideal. I liked it because it was quiet, with few people, just locals...I loved it. The service was also good, very friendly and fast, and the food was delicious. The typical Thuringian dish, sausage with mashed potatoes, was delicious and the perfect amount. The dark beer was delicious. It's worth sitting down to eat here!

For 20 years I have been traveling to Weimar, my beloved old university town, for a week in October. (1977 -1981) And always, always the narrow towel is part of this tour. This is the place of my fondest memories of that time. Today I was really shocked. No permanent staff. BUT: SURPRISE! A tough lady with a trainee or colleague from the “Black Bear” who volunteered to help out. I take all my hats off to these girls. They rocked the hut so much! The agreements, the way we interact with each other, the strategic approach of the “boss” today was a showpiece of leadership. (Since this is my subject, I know what I'm talking about) Of course there were problems, but there were always solutions!

The service was rude and arrogant...

Pork knuckle was still quite hard and chewy and cold at the core. Otherwise, a quick, cheerful waiter. Ambiance corresponding to a beer hall.

The little pub next door is actually still there. It's nice that the cigarette smoke has to stay outside. Every centimeter is used, the service is friendly and funny. The kitchen cooks good German dishes, some of which I haven't heard of in ages, let alone eaten.

Mosel Wine Festival is always a very good experience to meet and get to know acquaintances, friends and strangers

Please don't go there on sundays, too many tables for too few personal. You have to wait a long time for giving your order or ordering something additional. The food, waitresses and atmosphere is very good. We stayed one and a half hour and were eating around thirty minutes.

A really rustic restaurant "Am Frauenplan" with a beautiful terrace. If you're in Weimar you just have to take a look. The locals call it "The Narrow Towel" Very friendly staff, reasonable prices, dishes that are only available there. And it is very clean.

We went at 3 o clock at 22th of april and it was super lovely. Very Nice vibes and the server was super charming, extremely helpful and great at english. Defo recommend

Today we were guests at the Weimaer Bierstube. Sat outside at the fountain under the linden tree in the best weather. The food was good, bourgeois cuisine. Price-performance service everything is okay. Definitely recommended if you are in Weimar.

Nice, rustic beer bar, we were there for a nightcap in the evening, harmonious furnishings in the vault, quick, friendly waiter, good selection of drinks.

Very nice, small location diagonally opposite the Goethehaus. We went there by chance because there was “Cold Dog” with coffee. The “cold dog” was homemade and very tasty. The atmosphere was also very pleasant, which was also due to the very nice waiter. We will definitely be back as there is also seating outside on the square, hopefully in good weather. :)

We were in this restaurant for the first time. And we liked it so much that we kept coming back there. The landlord is great and very attentive. He is a thoroughbred innkeeper who takes excellent care of his guests and doesn't mince his words. You can also find nice contacts there for happy evenings. Keep it up, we'll definitely be back.

We accidentally noticed this place and chose it for dinner. It's a bit cramped inside, with few tables, but a very lively and warm atmosphere. I would also like to say thank you for the wonderful home-cooked food. Fresh beer and small selection of wine! The downside is that you pay in cash.

Der freundliche Kellner beherrscht die Bedienung der Gäste souverän. In lustiger Atmosphäre kann man rustikale regionale Speisen und Getränke genießen.

Tolles Lokal kombiniert mit grandioser Küche und super freundlichem Personal.

Hier kann man sehr gut sitzen. Solche alten Kneipen wie das "Schmale Handtuch" gibt es gar nicht mehr in Dresden. 22.10.2022: Auch heute war es wieder sehr schön. 09.10.2023: Auch 2023 war es wieder sehr schön. Vor allem der Zwiebelkuchen schmeckt herrlich.

Rustikale Einrichtung und sehr leckeres Essen. Es war viel los aber die Servicekraft war sehr bemüht. Aber wenn man Urlaub hat......kann man auch mal ein bissel warten. Leber mit Stampf, Zwiebelsuppe, Kräuterquark mit Wedges sowie Tafelspitz waren sehr sehr lecker.

Dafür dass da ein Sternekoch drin kochen soll, war mein Essen ziemlich fad und einfallslos. Auch das Würzfleisch hat mich enttäuscht.

Soljanka war in Ordnung. Würzfleisch hab ich allerdings schon bessere gegessen. Würde ich dort nicht noch einmal essen. Der Käse war gut.

Wir war nach 22:00 Uhr, nach dem Kino noch etwas trinken. Wie in der guten alten Zeit, gemütlich, schnell und eine richtige Kneipe ! Zum Weinfest oder zum Zwiebelmarkt immer eine gute Adresse 😉, deshalb gab es auch etwas mehr Trinkgeld. Es ist schön, das es in Weimar noch solche authentische Kneipen gibt.

Bedienung, Essen und Trinken hervorragend. Sehr freundliches Personal. Einziges Manko, die Steckdose auf der Damentoilette sollte wirklich mal gereinigt werden.

Geduld zahlt sich aus. Ja es dauert etwas. Ca. 45min. Macht nix... das Essen großartig. So schmeckt Thüringener Hausmannskost. Und der Preis völlig in Ordnung. Und wenn man beim halben Glas nachbestellt, kommt die "Frische Halbe" pünktlich. "Es nimmt der Augenblick, was Jahre geben." - Zitat J.W.v.Goethe

Eine beeindruckende Atmosphäre und gutes Essen. Ist immer ein Besuch wert.

Das Essen war gut. Allerdings mussten wir über eine Stunde warten. Das Personal scheint hier überfordert zu sein. Keine Ahnung wie man für ein paar Bratkartoffeln und Sülze so lange brauchen kann. Beim nächsten Besuch in Weimar wird es ein anderes Restaurant.

Letzte Woche leider kein schönes Erlebnis: der Wirt unfreundlich, das am Tresen gezapfte Bier lauwarm. Bis auf den Kasseler war das Essen ok. Für das Gebotene aber zu teuer - Preisniveau wie in örtlichen besseren Restaurants. Draußen war ein Straßenfest, die Kneipe fast leer, man konnte also das rustikale Ambiente bewundern.
