We booked a table beforehand and that was a good thing. On a Monday in December the restaurant was very busy. We were very satisfied with the food and the service.

Rustic inn with Thuringian cuisine. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Would come back at any time.

There is no disabled toilet and no intolerances are catered for

Even without a reservation, we got a table for 4 people, ate delicious roast goose and the service was top, despite the full tables. Thank you for that.

On our weekend in Weimar we were very happy to have been able to get a seat at this restaurant because the reviews really spoke for themselves. The restaurant is always busy and we still got a comfortable table. The service was consistently courteous and very friendly. The food and drinks were served very promptly. The food was super tasty and the portions were very sufficient. The starter was also really tasty. We would like to thank you for a lovely evening and would definitely come back on our next visit to Weimar!!!

I was in Weimar and was here for the first time. The trout was incredibly tasty and I had to come back again. The chicken salad was fantastic! I will come back to eat here on my next visit. The service was perfect, the atmosphere was right. See you next time.

We really enjoyed the food!!! Service accompanied us to the uncomfortable, dirty table, whether there was enough space in another room and after requesting only half of them cleaned the table, they really wanted to leave... Despite everything, I would recommend everyone to go there for food.

We can only recommend this restaurant. Typical Thuringian specialties such as goulash with dumplings and red cabbage were a dream. Everything we ordered was prepared super quickly and delicious. Service very friendly and accommodating, thank you for this tasty evening.

I had booked seats for a larger group here as part of a conference. We received a group ticket in advance for pre-selection. Everyone was enthusiastic about the good Thuringian cuisine and also found the ambience very nice. We will be happy to come back.

A really good place to enjoy Thuringian home cooking. We felt very comfortable and very welcome. Even though it was very full, the service tried very hard to accommodate us. And they didn't just send us away like in other restaurants. The price-performance ratio is great, it tasted wonderful. A nice memory of our Weimar visit.

Really nice ambience and good food! Prices for food are still okay, but a bit too high for drinks.

Unfortunately, the service was a bit overwhelmed. We had goulash and ox cheeks. Food came to the table already cooled down. Meat was ok but the red cabbage was a disaster. Unfortunately it didn't leave a positive impression.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jagemanns in Weimar and the experience was just all around great. I chose the veal Wiener Schnitzel, which was perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside and wonderfully juicy on the inside. It was served with a superbly seasoned potato salad and cranberries that perfectly balanced the savory flavor of the schnitzel. What made the experience even more unforgettable was my spot outside right on Herderplatz. From there I had a wonderful view of the imposing Herder Church, which further underlined the relaxed and charming atmosphere of the evening. The location of the restaurant, in the middle of the historic center of Weimar, makes it ideal for combining a meal with a little exploration of the city. The Jagemanns impresses not only with its excellent cuisine, but also with its carefully selected wine list and the use of high-quality, regional products. In addition to the Wiener Schnitzel, there are a variety of regional specialties, such as the famous Thuringian dumplings or Rostbrätel, which will make the heart of every lover of traditional German cuisine beat faster. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and familiar, and the service was friendly and attentive, which made the evening even more pleasant. Seven of us had dinner at this restaurant. The food was good and the prices were reasonable, so overall we were satisfied. The service was also okay, but nothing exceptional. A small negative point: Unfortunately, the beer wasn't really cold, which spoiled the enjoyment a bit. We didn't need a reservation because the restaurant was quite empty. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was pleasant and it was a relaxed environment in which to spend the evening. Overall, a solid choice for an easy meal with friends, although a few details could have been better.

We were there on a Friday evening. It was the evening of the European Championship quarter-final between Germany and Spain, so there was little going on. Had a fabulously delicious Rostbrätel. The service was very nice and friendly. Gladly again.

I speak 3 languages, though I am a tourist and I'm allowed to not know German. The staff doesn't speak a single word of English, pretty astonishing, and treat you poorly if you clearly state that you don't speak German. Difficult to communicate as the could not even understanding my simple question "difference?" having me pointing on the menu at 2 beef dishes with the same side and same meat type but different names. instead she was pretty annoyed by me. Food was decent at least, even though I paid 4 euro more and I don't know why, unless it was for the bread slice I've asked.

The restaurant is located in a building with a beautiful exterior from the 16th century. Typical Thuringian cuisine is offered. The food was very good. However, the waitress didn't smile for us and we had the impression that she was reluctant to serve us. But maybe she was just having a bad day. Everything else was otherwise very good.

Wenn wir unseren Sohn in Weimar einmal im Jahr besuchen gehen wir eigentlich immer dort hin zum Essen und jedes Mal noch Trinkgeld gegeben.

As part of our wedding ceremony, we ordered a table and food a la carte on June 1st, 2024. Everything worked out wonderfully. The food was extremely tasty and the service was very attentive and friendly. The table was nicely set up. Thank you for completing our most beautiful day. 🤩👍

Disappointing Experience at Jagemanns Restaurant I recently visited Jagemanns Restaurant in Weimar, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the historic setting and elegant decor promised a delightful dining experience, the reality was quite different. Service Issues: The most glaring problem was the service. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the staff lacked basic hospitality. The waitress assigned to our table seemed uninterested and unfriendly, never offering a smile or showing any warmth. Our attempts to engage with her were met with curt responses, making us feel unwelcome. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, we experienced significant delays in placing our orders and receiving our food. Food Quality: As for the food, it was mediocre at best. We ordered the Thüringer Schwarzbiergulasch and the Zanderfilet. The gulasch was overly salty, and the meat was tough and dry. The Zanderfilet, on the other hand, was underseasoned and accompanied by a bland lentil and leek mix. Given the high prices, we expected much better quality and flavor. The highlight of our meal was supposed to be the desserts, but even the Kaiserschmarrn was disappointingly dry and lacked the promised vanilla flavor. Ambience: While the restaurant’s ambience was charming and the historical context intriguing, the overall experience was marred by the subpar service and average food. The potential for a wonderful dining experience is there, but it is currently not being realized. Overall: In conclusion, Jagemanns did not live up to its reputation. The service was disappointing, and the food did not justify the price. I hope the management takes these criticisms to heart and makes necessary improvements. As it stands, I would not recommend this restaurant to others. There are plenty of other dining options in Weimar that offer better service and tastier food.

A pleasant atmosphere, unfortunately with overwhelmed service staff. But a good kitchen. The kitchen staff clearly saved our evening. Our responsible service person shined with snappy answers and questions such as: "Do you have a problem?" and the inability to divide a bill for 8 people by 2 and book on card payment. "This is not possible on a table". That was the statement...orders were often received with the sentence: "I have to move on!" accelerated.

The food is very tasty and very well cooked. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone. I had schnitzel with asparagus and it was wonderfully prepared. I especially found the strudel with the hint of cinnamon, which was slightly intense, very lovely as dessert. At the end the violet lemonade which was really very refreshing. I can only recommend you, because the service was also very friendly.

Delicious food, friendly staff and short waiting time

In the evening (8 p.m.) we spontaneously got a table for two people. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, quaint and romantic. It offers plenty of space so you don't feel cramped. The service was very friendly and the interaction between the staff was professional and appreciative. We decided on tagliatelle with salmon and asparagus and the ox cheeks with dumpling slices and red cabbage. Both were served quickly and hot and tasted very good.

A wide range of draft beers is now available at Jagemanns. Among other things, Paulaner wheat beer, Maintaining the level is difficult. You now get the impression of a rapid mass processing of paying tourists. There is already a certain understanding of the current situation, but if Thuringian hospitality suffers as a result it will be difficult. The girls in service try very hard, but sometimes they are overwhelmed.

Lively frequented restaurant in the old town of Weimar. German cuisine inspired by regional influences. Service diligent and tried. Apparently there are a bit too many seats in relation to the capacity of the kitchen (waiting time ~30 minutes). Reservation recommended.

A fast food restaurant??? Unfortunately I was disappointed with the food, the Thuringian bratwurst was only cooked superficially, looked like a sausage, unfortunately not like a BRATwurst, the fried aroma was completely missing, it was pale. Unfortunately not good advertising for Thuringian cuisine.

A beautiful traditional restaurant. The atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy. Everyone really enjoyed the food, from Jägerschnitzel with fresh fried mushrooms and light cream sauce to Thuringian Rostbrätel and spaghetti with rocket pesto. The service was always very attentive.
