Great restaurant, one of the best Italian restaurants in Weimar. We had a young gentleman as our server, who was very courteous and friendly. We'll be back again and again.

Great location. Service has no idea what they're selling. I've rarely had such a bad and at the same time expensive meal—over €38 for takeout. See pictures.

From the outside, the Mi Piace restaurant in Weimar looks quite decent – a good location, an inviting facade. But inside, it's pure chaos. It feels like a construction site next to a zoo: it's loud, chaotic, everything rattles and flies around. The worst thing, though, is the hygiene – or rather, the complete lack of it. The chefs handle all the ingredients with bare, unwashed hands, then grab other products without washing their hands, and reuse the same dirty utensils multiple times. Sometimes pasta is thrown directly into the pots by hand, along with a ladle. Nothing is properly cleaned – neither dishes nor cutlery. Much of it seems reused. There's no music, no atmosphere, nothing – you just feel uncomfortable and disgusted. An absolute no-go for a restaurant. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Mi Piace in any way.

My visit to this restaurant was disappointing. The service was bad as the staff didn't speak German, which made ordering difficult. Open questions about the ingredients were answered with "Yes, okay". On top of that, my iced tea was filled to the top with ice and therefore there was hardly any iced tea in the glass. The food was tasteless but warm.

Everything was perfect! Gladly again

The food was okay, but I find the service simply disrespectful. We waited forever for the food, and after asking several times, the fine gentlemen finally showed up with the food! As I said, the food was okay. But nothing I was looking forward to! And by the way, I think €3.90 is a really excessive price for a 0.33l Coke! We had to ask for the receipt to get it, and there wasn't even an apology for the abysmal service.

We had pizza, pasta, and salad, which were tasty, but not outstanding (I tried everything, of course 🥳). The service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was also very pleasant and bright. The prices are OK.

Dear friends, Honestly, even a small child can cook better. I had pasta, and you can't really call it pasta; it's just a collection of ingredients that don't fit the dish. We also waited 1.5 hours for our food and the service at the beginning, and that wasn't acceptable. So, in summary: If you're not looking for a dumpling, go somewhere else.

We ordered pizzas to go, and since none of the to-go pizzas appealed to me, I opted for a different one, which they charged me almost €14. When I opened my pizza box upon receipt, the impudence was beyond compare... My mushroom pizza consisted of a Margherita that was carelessly topped with mushroom crumbs – too little for €14. When I complained, I got about half an extra handful of mushrooms sprinkled on top... Absolutely not a recommendation, not only because the waiters obviously had a gossipy exchange after my complaint, but also because my friends and I didn't tolerate the food well. Never again!

Quite a nice restaurant. The lunch menu was a bit strange, for example the pasta salad was like from a delicatessen. The lamb was also very small and nothing special in terms of taste. Otherwise the pasta was good and the interior was nice.

It's simply fantastic when you ask for gluten-free pasta/pizza and are promised gluten-free pasta for the next day, and it's also really delicious. That really deserves 5 stars. Thank you so much 😊

Pizza is at the lower end of what can be considered edible - no proper yeast dough, cheap cheese, a handful of diced vegetables from the refrigerator. That would be OK for 7.75€, but the price was double of that..

Mipiace is a place I'd happily recommend. Everything was perfect—the food, the ambiance, and the service.  We had schnitzel, fries, and cucumber salad, followed by a delicious tiramisu 👌🏼😋

The food was extremely good, as was the ambiance, which offers a beautiful view of the old town. However, I have to criticize the service, which unfortunately has room for improvement, as well as the recommendation of dishes, the questioning of possible desserts, and the lack of German when ordering. In summary, in my opinion, a good restaurant where you can enjoy a leisurely meal, but don't expect to fill you up.

I'm very satisfied because the staff is super friendly and it's a pleasure to come here. Even the takeaway food is prepared with love, and I've found both the pizza and pasta (Caprese and Carbonara are my favorites) to be very good.

Disrespectful treatment of guests at the counter. Food was otherwise fine.

When I went there, I walked in politely and wanted to order normally. The cashier was rude and we were ripped off. However, he writes most orders incorrectly. When I noticed this when ordering and pointed it out to him, he became very rude. I asked normally if the price would change because of an incorrect order. When I accepted it, he got loud and rude. He asked if I wanted the pizza or not. He didn't even say goodbye politely.

I recently visited Mi Piace and had a great experience! The food was delicious — especially the pizza and pasta, which were full of flavor and served hot. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I appreciated the variety on the menu, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. A perfect place for a relaxing meal with friends or family. I’ll definitely be coming back! And their takeaway pizza is sucha good option. So big and less costly compared to other restaurants.

This is by far the best Italian in Weimar - at least based on the pizza. Thin, crispy base, tasty ingredients and the staff also seem very friendly to me. Particularly noteworthy is the PizzaToGo, which at €7 is not only extremely cheap for such a high-quality meal (the best pizza in Weimar), but also has an unusually large diameter. So you get more than you expect for good money! I can only say good things about the store.

Service was quite okay, location is quite good, not very busy near the city center, we had a pizza that was more like a baked wrap, very dry.

If you want to spend a nice evening with your loved ones with good food and great service, this is the perfect place for it.

Absolutely not recommended. Waited forever for the card because the staff was inattentive. Then after almost an hour still no food. Just paid for drinks and left. It was the same with the other guests.

Oje, das war wohl nichts. Wir hatten einen Salat und Spaghetti Carbonara. Salat war mit Eisbergsalat und Fertigdressing. Das Putenfleisch war gut. Brot gab es aber nicht dazu. Die Carbonara … naja. In einer Pfanne serviert, oben trocken, unten erinnerte die Soße an Maggi fix. Der Speck nicht angeröstet, sondern gekocht. Auf dem Tisch gab es weder Salz noch Pfeffer, oder Essig und Öl. Das Restaurante ist bestenfalls eine Pizzeria und macht äußerlich mehr her als es kann. Das Personal ist lediglich Tellerlieferant. Fragen Sie bitte nicht nach…

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Italian restaurant in downtown Weimar, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the very first moment, I received a warm welcome and immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic—you almost feel like you're in Italy. The menu offers a great selection of traditional Italian dishes, prepared with love and dedication. I chose the homemade pasta, and it was simply delicious! The flavors were intense and perfectly balanced.

I had just ordered my food when another group of 10 people entered the restaurant. I had to wait over half an hour for my food, while everyone else who ordered after me had already left the store with their food. In addition, I had to wait outside in the rain at 5 degrees while the store was almost empty. After asking how long it would take because I was under time pressure, I was rudely told that I wasn't the only one who wanted to eat something. Once again, the shop was almost empty and guests who ordered fifteen minutes after me had already had their food. However, the food tasted very good that day, whereas on about half of my visits it tasted very bland and tasteless. All in all, not a recommendation, there are much better Italian restaurants in Weimar.

I wasn't allowed to wait inside for my food, even though no one was sitting there (now I know why). It was raining and cold. The food was mediocre and cold at best. The service was unfriendly. Simply an impudence.

Since I often eat at Mi Piace for my 12 o'clock meal to eat at another location, I was horrified by the service in the house just today. My pasta took 30 minutes instead of the usual 10 and I was emphatically asked to please wait outside the door in the rain. A merciless injustice. The food tasted as usual.

After a tiring day we were really hungry and Mi Piace was the perfect place for filling our bellies. The pizza tasted so good and it was really cheap when you consider how big it was. One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten!

I ordered the carbonara, but it lacked flavor—it was quite bland and didn’t have the rich, creamy taste I expected. It seemed to be missing seasoning. The portion was decent, and the service was friendly, but I wouldn’t order this dish again. Also the beer tasted off, possibly spoiled.

Nice place, but the waitresses don't speak English (she almost kill me with her eyes, because I don't speak Germany). Secondly, the carbonara was unsalted.

A great place for a pleasant lunch break in Weimar, with excellent food and a truly fantastic lunch menu. We'd be happy to go back.

We were there on January 1, 2025, at 4 p.m. Only 6 seats were occupied in the pizzeria, meaning a good 80% of the seats were free. After asking for a seat (two people), we were offered a dark spot in the back corner, right next to the restroom, even though many other seats, including window seats, were free. We wanted to leave and were offered a seat for two in the second row. A reservation sign was then placed at our preferred window seat! The food was good, but not outstanding (Flamkuchen and pasta with spinach and cream). A Köstritzer Schwarzbier, supposedly on draft, came from a 0.3l bottle = €5.10 (that's an exaggeration). Payment by card was possible, but directly at the cash register, supposedly to save paper receipts for individual payments... And by the way - after our visit, all the seats were still free, and not a single new customer arrived during that time... a disgrace and a complete lack of customer service. What a shame, we won't be going back to the place!

Idyllic location next to the town squares. Very welcoming atmosphere, and the pizzas are huge but delicious! There's something for everyone, including vegetarians! A solid 4.8/5! Highly recommend ✅

We ordered two pizzas to go. The waitress said it would take 30 minutes, and we said that was no problem and waited. After five minutes, the waitress came over and asked if we should take the pizzas. We said yes, as we had discussed before, but then she said we had to pay first before she would take our order. I think she realized this relatively late, after we had already ordered and waited. One of the pizzas was very tasty, but the crust on the second one wasn't cooked properly.

We had pre-ordered and were "warned" by friends that the food was very good, but the ambiance wasn't particularly nice. Well, as a couple, we weren't deterred. We sat down, and the drama began. Besides the actual food and drink menu, there were also various notes. We couldn't pay by credit card, the table number, which we could only use at the cash register, and another note with various offers. Then the first server came and asked for food and drinks. We didn't know exactly what we were having, so we could only order one meal and one drink. Two minutes later, another waitress came and asked for our food and drink preferences. We told her that we had already ordered but would now like to order a second meal. What happened? Well, only the second meal and the drinks arrived. But the first meal was simply forgotten and only refilled upon request, without apology. The bottle of wine also arrived, but without a cloth so that the bottle could be wiped clean from the ice water. So...the food was good and tasty, but the ambiance and service were 2-3 stars. As a hint...I've never seen one...a huge chandelier in the kitchen, but the one in the dining room remained unlit.

Rustic, colorful and cozy, delicious, very large pizza!

An Italian? I would say a Chinese fast food restaurant. Pasta warmed up for lunch, almost inedible. Even for this money there are really only small portions. Better go somewhere else.

We really enjoyed the food and we also liked the cozy atmosphere. The service was nice and accommodating. It's absurd that you have to go to the checkout with the laminated card yourself. Cashing in and asking if everything was OK is part of the service!

The restaurant, located on Schillerstrasse in the middle of the city center, offers seats both in the restaurant and directly in front of it. The service was very friendly, it took a while for the food to arrive. At lunchtime the pasta was very cheap, about half the price compared to other Italian places. The food was very good, overall we were very satisfied.

Nice Italian restaurant in the city center. The ambience is nice and appropriate. The menu is not overloaded, but the offering is still extensive. There is something for everyone. The starters are beautifully presented and delicious. Only the Parmesan should have been a little more bite-sized and not in such long strips. Typical Roman pizza. Very thin soil. Juicy and crispy straight away. And really big. The food tasted very good. The price-performance ratio is very good. The service was extremely friendly and very attentive. But not at all intrusive. We'll definitely come back.

if you’re looking for a cheap (6 eur) and fast option for a take away pizza, this is the right address. the pizza is huge and also delicious. would definitely recommend if you want to enjoy your pizza in a park.

We were here during the week around 5:30 p.m. There was no waiting time, the waitresses were friendly and efficient. Pizzas were ordered and they were very good with a thin base and a large diameter. The price is a bit high, but justified.

You advertise food to go and then have to pay a €1 deposit for a cardboard cup that you end up throwing away. Cashier was rude and couldn't answer my question. Incomprehensible.

Really well-equipped store. Delicious dishes and nice service. We were there twice on our vacation. What stands out is the pizza with the super thin, crispy base and the melting cheese - like in the movie.

Quite a tourist spot with good marketing, great ambience and courteous service. A children's portion for the youngest in the group didn't seem any smaller/worse than the other pasta dishes, but it only cost a fraction. The food is ok but cannot be compared with a real Italian restaurant. For example, the pasta isn't al dente and the pizza dough doesn't taste like it was prepared for a long time. The ingredients were probably bought cheaply in Germany but are definitely put together to make delicious dishes. Overall recommended.

May 12, 2024. 3:00 p.m.-3:46 p.m. Annoyed service, absolutely incompetent. The food doesn't taste good. When asked “do you have Chardonnay” you get an unfriendly answer “we only have dry wines”. Not even the question of whether the food tastes good, whether everything is okay. You can't eat salad at all because it's swimming in vinegar/herb dressing. Zero enjoyment, zero fun!
