I've ordered takeout several times, and it's always been great, and the owner is also very nice. So, I can recommend the restaurant.

Better go somewhere else, it doesn't taste good at all

Sitting outside in the beautiful surroundings is great, and the server was very friendly, but the pizza was unfortunately not good. The ingredients don't seem very high quality, but the price is even more so. What a shame :-(

Not recommended; the staff is very rude and inattentive. First, you stand at the entrance for 10 minutes, unnoticed, then half your order doesn't arrive at all, only arrives after you ask, or arrives 15 minutes later than everyone else. For that, you pay almost €20 for a small portion of pasta, the fries come unsalted, and so does the tomato salad. The fact that card payments might not work in the restaurant (the machine was there, but apparently didn't always work) wasn't mentioned anywhere, nor was it mentioned beforehand.

What a waste of money. I've rarely had such bad pizza as here. I waited 40 minutes, the pizza tasted like nothing, and the chef suddenly didn't speak German!

We had a large pizza for 18 euros, which was good value for money, and a tiramisu for 4 euros, which was very chocolatey and small. Drinks were expensive, as with any restaurant, and the complimentary chili and garlic oil tasted of nothing. Overall, a good meal if you're hungry, but there are probably better restaurants and pizzas.

I've never experienced anything so unfriendly in my entire life. The boss, "Marco," is just about the most unpleasant person I've ever met. Since I speak Italian fluently, I heard him gossiping about almost all of the guests. It also made you feel like a nuisance. Everything was too much for "Marco." The food and drinks were outrageous. The price was charged at a rough estimate. Now I understand his bad reputation in Weimar.

Venezia da Marco used to be an absolute blast. Pizza made with love, friendly staff, a good feeling to eat there... But that seems to have changed. I was last there 9 years ago, and as I ate there today, I wondered how the hell this place has survived so long? To put it all in perspective, here are two little anecdotes from my youth. I went there one afternoon after school to get a pizza slice. The owner of the shop, a white-haired Italian senior, greeted me and asked me in broken German if I'd ever had a "pizza sandwich." I said no, and he promptly slapped a ham pizza slice onto my salami pizza slice, pressed both into my hand for the price of a pizza slice, and said goodbye with a smile. Another time, he sang for me and my parents as we ate there in the evening. This shop was once a shining star on Schillerstrasse, but over time, it has declined significantly. The interior is cramped and sterile; the employees stare at you as if they were about to beat you up or would rather be somewhere else. The drinks were watered down, the pizza was lackluster, and the prices were outrageous. Spaghetti Carbonara a la Italiana tasted of packaged mush and MSG, so even good bacon couldn't save it. And the pasta with tomato and mozzarella was dripping with oil; my stomach did a handstand just looking at it. Pizza, pasta e amore? More like cardboard, Maggi-flavored beatings. When people say "everything was better in the old days," that's exactly what they mean. A few years ago, I would have defended this place with my life, but now I wouldn't go there voluntarily. I wouldn't recommend it.

The food was okay, nothing more and nothing less. The prices were completely outrageous. There's nothing more to say.

Slices of processed cheese on a 4 cheese pizza? Seriously? Of course there's no law that should be put on a quattro formaggi pizza, but...minus 5 stars

Great prices! The food and drinks taste great! I can't agree with the previous reviewers' opinion, which amounts to a complete treatise on the works of Thomas Hobbes, that the station bar charges €4.50 per slice. The slice is certainly the size of a pizza at other establishments, and the ambiance is perfectly acceptable!

Very, very nice interior with friendly staff, good prices, food, attention to detail, and more. My conclusion: Top, top, top! We (3) were all full, and the food we didn't finish was nicely packed up by the staff and we could eat it later.

The service is truly courteous, very friendly and helpful, they explain many of the dishes and are very friendly. The food is freshly prepared and homemade. It's a pleasure to come here and I would recommend it to anyone looking for good Italian food. Keep up the good work, Venezia team!

– Where dreams die and your wallet cries Entering the venerable "Venezia da Marco," you're immediately greeted by an atmosphere somewhere between a train station at 3 a.m. and a dentist's waiting room. The waiter, who approaches me with the joie de vivre of a dried-up cactus, eyes me as if I'd just asked if pizza could perhaps be made with love instead of pure financial opportunism. The prices? Ah, yes. I didn't know that gold flakes on pizza are now standard fare – or that tomato sauce is apparently made from the tears of Italian nuns. A slice for €4.50? I'd expect it to be served by an opera singer who's gently filling out my tax return. Plus, an extra euro per plate!!! (and they give me a lot of plates). But the highlight: the taste. It's a culinary journey back in time—back to the school cafeteria of the 90s, where cheese was an abstract concept and the dough's flavor fluctuated between the taste of a shoe sole and cardboard. The chef seems to be an artist, albeit one who decided that pizza should actually be a form of modern punishment. The staff? They interact with the guests as if we were a necessary evil—you almost feel sorry for them. I ordered a drink, whereupon the waiter stared absently into the distance for a moment, as if considering whether to quit on the spur of the moment or simply not bring me anything. Spoiler alert: He didn't bring anything. Conclusion: A must for anyone who despises their money and enjoys being mistreated. 5 stars—but only if you pay in buttons and pebbles.

A very nice, traditional Italian pizzeria. Fantastic pizzas, especially the quarter-sized slices to go. A great idea! Very welcoming and friendly staff. In both summer and winter, you can watch the hustle and bustle of Schillerstraße.

The food was fine. The wine glasses were supposed to hold 0.25 liters of wine, but they seemed very underfilled to us. Our test revealed that they contained a maximum of 0.15 liters. Even after repeated requests, "the boss" didn't show up.

Beer was from the bottle and too expensive.

The quality and service can be much better

Very good restaurant. The prices are very fair for Weimar standards. I particularly enjoy the street sales of pizza corners and the fact that they also offer gluten-free products (the ONLY one in Weimar). Everything is always fresh. The service is very courteous, although sometimes a bit slow (during peak times). The ambience outside is great because you're sitting right on Schillerstrasse and so you always have something to look at. It also gives you a good feeling that the boss is also the waiter himself.

I give it 2 stars with goodwill. The food overall was below average. The chicken in balsamic sauce for €20 would have been a disgrace if we had to pay for it. We complained and then didn't have to pay it. It was a small chicken breast fillet cut into strips, with an undressed, green lettuce cut into strips (house specialty). The grilled salmon was also below average. The service was very inconsistent. The bread (pizza wedges) that was brought too late with the main courses was suddenly taken away from us without asking.

We sat at a mini table outside and ordered starters and main courses, as well as wine and water. Before the starter, a large box with vinegar, oil, etc. was placed on the table, which was only needed for the main course. The starter Vitello tonnato was OK. A main course from the “house specialties” section was served with a small chicken breast fillet with chopped lettuce. Cost 20€. The grilled salmon fillet wasn't worth the money either, but at least it was a little more balanced. The accompanying pizza bread came late. After we complained about the chicken breast fillet, the price was waived and the pizza bread was taken away from us very quickly. All in all a real failure! It's a shame if you're only here for 2 evenings!

The menu is varied and available for all tastes.  Destacan specialmente los ñoquis y las penne rabiata, muy buenos y picantes.  It is also worth recommending the fillets of pechuga de pollo on the plancha and the Caprese pizza.  Other plato fuerte the tiramisú casero, which is the final perfecto for a comida exitosa. Yesterday I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend. First of all, I can confidently say that the service is really wonderful and very nice. The food is also of a high standard. And the climate too. It's nice to sit in such an atmosphere! I'll visit her again today! I highly recommend it!!!😋😋

A restaurant in weimar city, it give you a very nice atmosphere to sit in and enjoy the tasty food that is served very fast, i would suggets this place tohpozza lovers.

Had dinner and was disappointing. The welcome was ok. The establishment is snack-like and the food is not worth repeating. The Timballo Bolognese wasn't particularly good, but you could still eat it. The cannelloni baked with spinach and cheese didn't work at all. You also had to look for spinach and cheese. The terrine, which was already small, was only half full and what little was in it was completely overcooked. The price-performance ratio here is absolutely not right. The food was never worth 14 euros, not even if the tureen was full. We spoke to the waiter about it, but all he got was a small shrug of the shoulders. No apologizing, nothing. Conclusion, we will never go there again. There are many, many good restaurants in this place where food tastes good and the little ABC of a good restaurant is understood, but this is not one of them.

Food is really great. However, it cannot be the case that if continuous opening times are displayed and are also posted on site, that if you are on site from noon to 5 p.m. there is simply a break on a piece of paper and you want to sit down and don't see the note, you can go through it from inside Window is looked at and a hand gesture is equivalent to disappearing and you are asked to do so. Tip: Simply use the breaks in public and maybe talk to the staff because something like that just doesn't work!! I'm really disappointed 😞 No return and no recommendation either!!

The pizza wasn't great. 4-cheese pizza without feta, goat or blue cheese. Instead it had cheddar (?) on it. Normal-sized pizza for €13. No, unfortunately not a recommendation.

EXCESSIVE PRICES!!! A salad with just three ingredients for €8? A spaghetti bolognese that tastes like nothing and contains soft-cooked pasta for €13?? My self is extremely angry! Didn't expect anything and was still disappointed😔 NEVER AGAIN!!!

Actually nice restaurant, but the food is a joke. The Ministrone was far too oily and tasted like it came from a can. The lasagna was burnt and very small for the price of €14. The pizza was ok. However, the manager of the restaurant (I think it was him) sat down at a table and watched TikTok very loudly and didn't treat the waiter, who was actually nice, well in front of the guests. There is one more positive thing to note: the Ministrone was not included in the bill after the complaint.

Italian warmth and very good food. This is how our visits to Venezia da Marco could be summed up. For us it is much more. Good conversations over authentic Italian food, the best pizza in town (and probably the cheapest) and an extremely accommodating host. Because of this combination, we leave the restaurant with a happy smile on our face every time. It's nice that you exist, Marco. It is a picture for now.

I ordered Risotto Verdure. Unfortunately the rice was drowned in olive oil. There was already a layer of oil on the plate and it was also dripping out of the risotto. I've never had such a bad risotto at an Italian restaurant! I'm annoyed that I didn't return it straight away. There was no response at all to the criticism when the plates were cleared. My husband's pizza was okay though. So if anyone wants to stop by there, please don't order risotto ☹️

If you like Italian cuisine and at the same time don't expect to be confronted with German "bourgeoisie", this is the place for you. It's relaxed and formality is not more important than warmth and passion... How it calls into the forest! Me and my girlfriend are now friends of Marco. If you want to eat a pizza from a Florentine original, this is the right place. This applies to all dishes. Very, very tasty. Recommended and with Italian charm.

Fast service, despite the restaurant being completely booked. A huge plus point for me, gluten-free pizza dough or pasta. Super tasty pizza. Price-performance ratio is right. For the perfect Italian flair, some musical accompaniment in the subtle background was missing - our personal feeling. We had a 30cm pizza and a 50cm pizza, these were great.

Wir waren vom Essen enttäuscht. Die Pizza war okay, die Pasta sehr mäßig. Die sehr teure Bruschetta bestand aus labbrigem Toastbrot mit kaum gewürzten Tomaten. Nein Danke.

Alles in einen hat’s eigentlich ganz gut geschmeckt gehabt. - Wartezeiten sind halt ganz schön lange & die Bedienung hat sehr oft nicht verstanden was wir bestellt haben oder gar das falsche mit gebracht. Sie hat sich dennoch bemüht. Den Service könnte man echt besser gestalten.

Lasagne und Gnocchi waren ok, für die Größe der Portionen relativ hohe Preise. Der Service war eher schlecht. Gäste werden teilweise lange ignoriert, unfreundliche Bedienung. Beim Bezahlen wieder eine lange Wartezeit. Anstatt sich um die Gäste zu kümmern, werden unnötige Tätigkeiten verrichtet. Schöner Außenbereich.

Sehr freundlich, obwohl Tische schon verschlossen waren, wurden sie nochmal geöffnet und wir konnten nach einem schönen Konzert mit einem guten Wein den Abend ausklingen lassen. Danke dafür

guter Standort, service sehr in Ordnung

War da mit Freunden, die Bedienung war übelst unfreundlich und auch mein Essen war nicht gut. Ich hatte ein Risotto bestellt, aber anstatt einen Risotto kam einfach nur Reis mit Gemüse. Das hatte gar nix mit dem was ich bestellt hatte zu tun. Ich empfinde es als unnötig dort essen zu gehen.

Dieses italienische Restaurant, mit angeschlossener Eisdiele, liegt in der Fußgängerzone von Weimar. Übersichtliche Speisekarte mit Pizza, Pasta und Getränken. Sitzgelegenheiten im Innenbereich und Außenbereich. Momentaufnahme: Zum Essen hatten wir Thunfisch Pizza und Lasagne. Das bestellte Pizzabrot kam nicht. Pizza geschmacklich sehr gut, Lasagne ungenießbar, da komplett verkochte Nudelplatten, breiige Konsistenz. Servicekraft schien dies nicht zu interessieren, keine Frage, warum die Lasagne fast komplett zurück ging, es war ja bald Feierabend.

Bei Frage nach einem Tisch haben wir einen bekommen, aber direkt darauf wurde uns gesagt das wir nur Nudeln bestellen können und nichts anderes. Allerdings haben die Kunden direkt nach uns Pizza bestellen können.

Pizza war in Ordnung, allerdings hatte Preis-Leistung noch Luft nach oben.

Gehe seid 2 Jahren dort sehr gern essen und es ist immerwieder sehr Lecker, gestern Abend hatte ich eine Galzone, die Preise sind sehr gut, das Essen reichlich und sehr lecker und das Personal freundlich ....ich finde es toll dort. Ein Punkt war gestern nervig, die Geräusch aus der Küche waren stellenweise sehr laut... Freu mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch....Ciao

Ein sehr leckerer Besuch in diesem Restaurant. Freundliche Bedienung. Die Portion war groß und wir wurden gut satt. Leider stehen die Tische recht eng, sodass man sich nicht in Ruhe unterhalten konnte.

Wir haben heute zu Mittag gegessen und ich muss sagen, es war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis ...

"Venezia da Marco" ist ein echtes Juwel unter den Pizzerien. Die Pizzen sind einfach fantastisch - frisch, knusprig und unglaublich lecker. Die Auswahl an Belägen ist vielfältig und es gibt für jeden Geschmack etwas Passendes. Die Atmosphäre in der Pizzeria ist gemütlich und einladend, das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Preise sind angemessen und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist unschlagbar. Ich kann "Venezia da Marco" nur wärmstens empfehlen und würde jedem Pizza-Liebhaber einen Besuch empfehlen. Fünf Sterne, ohne Frage!

Wir waren an einem Freitagabend in diesem Ort. Ausgezeichneter Empfang durch das Personal im Speisesaal, das bereit ist, jeden Bedarf "mit einem Lächeln" zu erfüllen.

Die Bedienung war nicht sonderlich freundlich und fertige uns wie am Paketband ab. Die Speisekarten, bestanden aus einem hässlichen, einfachen und billigen Plastikhefter, der den ersten guten Eindruck leider direkt wett machte. Die Nudeln schmeckten im übrigen jedoch ganz gut, die Pizza war im Vergleich leider der Verlierer und kann nur als verhältnismäßig trocken beschrieben werden. Die Einrichtung ist modern und mehr oder weniger einladend.

Der Service ist unglaublich unmotiviert, gelangweilt und unfreundlich. Die Pasta meines Mannes war okay. Mit dem mir verabreichten Risotto hätte man den Grundstein für ein Haus legen können. Echt ungeniessbar. Verkocht, langweilig, nicht mit Liebe gekocht. Der Platz draussen ist schön, für einen Apéro sicher ganz gut. Nicht zum Essen :-(

Das Essen ist Top und der Preis angemessen. Kritikpunkt beim Service; wirkt veriwrrt und überfordert, da sehr oft nachgefragt wird und das falsche Essen manchmal serviert wird, dennoch freundlich.

Man sitzt nett draußen, der Service ist freundlich und schnell. Allerdings 23,- Euro für Tagliatelle mit matschigem Spargel in Tomatensauce und drei Scampi ist schon fast frech. Die Pizza meiner Freundinnen war wohl in Ordnung.
