Everything was good except the waiter with curls and a beard. Disrespectful jokes and simply took a tip of almost €7 without saying so beforehand. In the end I got the whole tip back... on principle.
No recommendation. The waiters listless and arrogant. Waited 15 minutes for the drinks, beer without foam and stale. It was not possible to order food because the waiters either intentionally overlooked the hand signals several times or did not respond when spoken to. They don't see me here anymore, but they probably don't need to.
We celebrated our civil ceremony at this hotel – and it was simply perfect! The food was excellent, the service incredibly attentive and friendly, and the entire organization was both professional and welcoming. We were also absolutely impressed by the value for money. Everything ran smoothly, we felt completely at home, and were able to enjoy the day to the fullest. Many thanks to Mr. Wolff and the entire team – we would choose you again anytime!
Schade.
Food: Starter plate very good, pasta with truffles was okay (I've eaten better in some restaurants), the pizza was okay. The Tartufo that we were so looking forward to was unfortunately sold out. We found the prices rather cheap.
Service: Accepting drinks takes too long, curt, no friendly gestures or facial expressions. But the lady was also clearly stressed. However, even with friendly speeches and compliments on the beautiful bar, there was only a very short reaction. The older gentleman ignored us a few times; when we spoke to him. Potential for improvement!
Ambiance: It's ok, rather simple and plain. It's missing a unique selling point, a soul. Some of the guests seemed a bit snobby (tennis club…).
Conclusion: We followed the recommendation of neighbors, but cannot agree with them. We didn't feel particularly comfortable/welcome in the restaurant and the food was just average. But the low prices are commendable. We won't be coming back.
It's nice to sit outside and have the best view of the hustle and bustle of Nordstrasse. The drinks and food selection is also okay. Unfortunately that was it.
The (male) waiters are mostly friendly, but they like to celebrate with each other and with “friends”. Whatever the reason, it's definitely unprofessional.
Personally, I think 9.20 EUR for an Aperol Spritz is significantly overpriced! In today's world, still insisting on cash payments, but at the same time working with a digital cash register system including handhelds is even more unprofessional and extremely customer-unfriendly. Of course, this is no longer up to date, especially since cash handling is now more expensive for restaurateurs than electronic payment transactions. So why then? A rogue...
