Good simple food for a good price. The restaurant is a bit loud but you can still make conversation. The schnitzel was great, crispy and tender. I was happy you got two. The cognac sauce and fries were a good addition. Good service, it did take a while for the food to arrive, but the drinks came right away. 5 minutes from the messe and right across the Ubahn station.

From the first impression to the food, everything was great! The children were given crayons and a children's menu to color in. The service was very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious.

I stopped for dinner because I was on my way, I was able to eat something that was good, I was served well and the place was nice.

Whenever we return from the trade fair, eating here is a must. Despite being very busy, the food is always good.

The three of us had the mixed grill and it was really well prepared, the meat was super tender.

I recommend pork fillet or veal goulash with chanterelle cream sauce (without chanterelles). I had one small chanterelle on my plate. After complaining, there was no response...very disappointing. That's unacceptable. And typical of a restaurant at the trade fair: there's neither apology nor remorse. I hope many people read this and draw their own conclusions.

The food at the Kastanie in Düsseldorf-Stockum was good – attractively presented and delicious, which would earn it 4 stars. Unfortunately, the service was unmotivated and taciturn. We had to sit at a dirty table, under which the previous guest's napkin and fork were still lying. The terrace was unkempt (leaves, weeds in pots), apparently not cleaned for days despite the summer business. A dirty flowerpot with soil on the table. Unloved. For the price, I would have expected more cleanliness and friendliness – hence only 2 stars overall.

The name Kastanie certainly lives up to its name. We ate there with eight people, and everything was perfect. From the service to the food to the cleanliness of the restrooms, everything was great :) The prices are really reasonable for the portions and the location. You can fortify yourself here before heading to the arena.

I was very disappointed. We had a reservation for 7:30 p.m., and our order was taken very quickly. There was only one table occupied ahead of us... everyone else arrived 30 minutes after us! They got their food earlier than us!

We were on the outside terrace late on a Saturday afternoon. We were greeted very nicely and given good advice. An anti pasti plate was prepared for us upon request, which is no longer on the menu. The restaurant looks very authentic from the outside, but the socket inside is missing and there is mold on the wall. You have to wait forever for your food, 5 tables in front of you get their food even though you ordered beforehand. Suite à la mauvaise expérience chez leur voisin (Taverna Toxodis) nous nous sommes rabattus sur ce resto situé juste à côté. Resto sympa avec des plats allemands classiques en majorité. L'escalope avec une sauce béarnaise est bien servie . Le patron très attentionné fait tout pour vous être agréable. Il nous a fait goûter plusieurs sortes de vin pour nous aider à choisir. Bel établissement que nous recommandons.

We were allowed to go into the second room with the children, which really relaxed the meal, thank you again for that! The food was tasty, but only lukewarm. That was good for the children, but we adults would have liked it to be a little warmer. Very nice service.

Nice place to have some variety of dishes. Food is cheap compared to surrounding restaurants and the quality is good. A lot of old people and families hangout here. It can get a bit loud due to the crowd. It’s a bar, so that’s expected. The soups are good!!! Overall, nice place for a small bite and hangout. (We never tried full meals, and only tried coffee, desert, and soup. )

Always happy before all of our Fortuna's home games

Spontaneously escaped from the rain for a drink and it was a good choice. You were asked directly whether you wanted to eat or just drink. After a hesitant answer, the menu was simply left there. That then led to bruschetta, toasted bread with aioli and chicken tandoori. There's nothing to complain about, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the prices are very reasonable and it's cozy too.

Nicely decorated and well-attended restaurant with fairly close seating. There are no highlights to be seen in the dishes on offer. However, there is no reason for criticism. They primarily offer schnitzel and pasta dishes from the system catering as well as salad variations. Friendly service. Online table reservation possible. Free parking spaces are usually available in front of the door, unless a trade fair is running. Prices are still within tolerable limits. A highlight for Altbier fans: there is tasty FÜCHSCHEN beer.

Goed restaurant. Echt voor Duits eten. Ging wel een beetje moeilijk met de Google reservering. Het was niet mogelijk om om 16.30 te eten werd ons gezegd. Toen wij toch om 16.30 uur kwamen was het geen probleem. Het duurde wel lang voordat wij ons eten kregen. Je krijgt wel grote en goede porties.

Wir waren am 23.11. zu viert dort, das Essen war ausgezeichnet, ob Wolfsbarschfilet mit Kartoffelstampf mit Gemüse, gegrillten Calamariringen, Kalbsschnitzel oder Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten, es gab nichts auzusetzen. Die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und schnell, auch das Gebell unseres Hundes, der sich immer aufregte, wenn das Telefon klingelte, wurde weggelächelt. Wir kommen gerne wieder...

Normales Wiener Schnitzel ist eher eine kleine Portion für knapp 18 Euro. Frickelige Ketchup Packung. Sehr dünne Pommes. In Ordnung.

Dort feierte ich mit Familie und Freunden meinen 80. Geburtstag. Und es war gut, dieses Restaurant gewählt zu haben. Alles hat rundherum gestimmt ! Auch die Menues a la Cart waren exzellent und genial.

Lokal w pobliżu hal targowych.Posilki smaczne.Kiedy jest cieplo lepiej wybierać miejsca na zewnątrz, w środku jest trochę duszno.Gdyby zadbać troche o wnętrze bylby to naprawdę dobry lokal z dobrym jedzeniem.Niekiedy trzeba dłużej poczekać na obsługę, zwłaszcza kiedy jest więcej gości.Wyprobowalam wiele dań.Jedzenie jest naprawdę smaczne.Polecam

Am 14.07.2023 hier spontan Nachmittags zum Essen eingekehrt, Kellnerin war zwar freundlich aber nicht besonders Gastorientiert auf meine Nachfrage ob es eine vegetarische alternative zum Flammkuchen gibt bekam ich als gelangweilte Antwort GEMÜSE!!! Ambiente des Lokals erinnert an einer Dorfkneipe die Terrasse liegt direkt am Straßenrand der Kaiserswertherstraße wo der Verkehr fließend läuft samt Straßenbahn. Der Salat mit Ziegenkäse konnte Überzeugen, der Flammkuchen dagegen passte mit der Gemüsemischung leider gar nicht. Ich denke ich werde den Laden nicht nochmal besuchen!!!

Es war nicht geplant dort hin zu gehen, als wir vorbei liefen entschieden wir uns spontan dort zu essen. Das Personal war sehr Kundenorientiert und sehr höflich! Die Sauberkeit war sehr gut! Die Toiletten waren sehr gepflegt und voll funktionsfähig. Nun zum essen. Meine Wahl fiel auf das Tagesangebot mit Tafelspitz mit Pfifferlingrahmsoße und Spätzle. Meine Begleitung hatten einen Salat und ein Wolfsbarschfilet. Der Tafelspitz war sehr lecker, doch für meinen Geschmack ein wenig zu trocken. Die Spätzle und die Soße waren sehr gut! Der Salat war schön angerichtet und sauber. Das Dressing war eine Art Essig Öl mit Kräutern. Das Wolfsbarschfilet war geschmacklich sehr ausgewogen und sehr gut zubereitet! Die Soße war aromatisch würzig. Alles in allem würde wir gerne wieder dort hingehen und essen!

Vorm Konzert dagewesen, leider wurde unsere Bestellung vergessen, aber die Bedienung ist auch zum Konzert gegangen und hat für uns ( und für die anderen natürlich auch) Depeche Mode gespielt.
