We went to the breakfast buffet with Mydays voucher, which actually turned out to be brunch because it was Sunday. The first point of criticism arises from the processing with the voucher; apparently not everyone knows about this. As requested by Mydays, we brought the booking confirmation and the voucher with us. This wasn't enough for one employee and we looked for more messages in the emails from the past few days. The mood sank to a low point and only changed when another service worker explained to us that we had everything we needed with us. Then we went to the buffet and there was enough choice, everything you would expect for breakfast. We weren't interested in the hot food shortly after 9 a.m. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. There is a point deduction for the ambience because the two tables are simply too small, especially at breakfast. So that everything doesn't lie on top of each other, you sometimes need several plates as well as a coffee cup and juice glass, so you don't know where to put it all. The oversized menu in the already limited space is particularly annoying at buffet time; it could perhaps only be distributed later. Finally, a tip about the vouchers. The KD has a list of the booked names and simply checks them off and gives out the ticket. Because the day and time have to be booked with Alex, it could work exactly like that and the guest just brings the voucher with them.

....it used to be 5 stars, but... Sunday brunch now 22.40€, large coffee 5.60 (you get 2 for that elsewhere and I'm talking about good coffee). The buffet has been significantly slimmed down! No more light breads, no more mustard sauce, reduced selection of sausages. No Nutella, just cheap nut nougat cream! That's not possible at this price! Very friendly service staff! Conclusion; Price/performance ratio no longer fits!

Great place for a shared breakfast)

A perfect place near the center of Düsseldorf where you can enjoy different options, both typical local dishes and other pizza and pasta options. It had quite a few vegetarian and vegan options and smoothies that were like kombucha that were amazing and surprisingly good. The price is Dusseldorf price, a bit expensive, but the quantity of the dishes was enormous so it was worth it. The interior of the place is cozy but it is also very nice outside and there are views of a beautiful park. I totally recommend it 👌

It was very nice friendly and dedicated waiters very polite and friendly. The food was very tasty and, above all, always freshly prepared.

We were here for the first time for my granddaughter's birthday. My Chicken Tiki Masala was cold and the portion was very small. My daughter's Schnitzel Milanese was average, the food was all lukewarm. My brother got his meal 1/2 hour before my daughter, which apparently was forgotten. Puree with fish fingers remained half standing. Visually, not even a cocktail tomato to spice it up. Loveless. I wanted to eat the spinach that came with it, but it was so disgusting that a small tip of a fork was too much and spoiled my appetite. Everything lacked pizzazz. The atmosphere was very, very, very loud, right behind us were 30 or more Indian/Pakistani young people who were so lively that we could no longer understand our own words and were happy when we could leave. We skipped dessert even though we were still hungry. Conclusion: no more than average, but too expensive. It's better to go to the Afghan in the Bilker Arkaden, where the food is authentic and delicious, the portions are decent, you'll be full, and there's no deafening background noise, even with 30 other guests. The restaurant wasn't so full that the guests couldn't be accommodated. It's a shame, the location is otherwise very easy to reach and the interior is nice, but the semicircular tables are a bit impractical to put together. There was no reaction to the fact that it was the little one's birthday. Not even a congratulation, even though she opened the presents for everyone to see. For 200 € we would at least have had enough at the Italian restaurant and children are king there anyway.

Food was ok, not great, but ok. There were a lot of large groups there, maybe that's why things didn't go smoothly. Apparently things go better overall when there aren't a lot of large groups there. I'm excited to see what it will be like on my next visit. Update will follow.

Locations very nice not so crowded staff is nice. The food came quickly but there was no complaining and a very small portion as for a child.

Great restaurant, beautifully decorated, very friendly staff! The only thing we didn't like this morning was the pancake and the fruit salad. The rest was great! The croissants were delicious!! I'd love to come back to try dinner or a drink🥰

I would like to rate the restaurant better because the food tastes really good and the employees are very nice, but very slow. Unfortunately, the food is now outrageously expensive and the portions are more than manageable. It is now very difficult to get full with most dishes here. Very unfortunate and disappointing with the prices.

The brunch was very tasty and the price was reasonable given the selection. Staff friendly. However, at 11 a.m. for the wedding it was simply too full and hot dishes were completely sold out at times. After that it was more relaxed again. But I think coffee prices are definitely too high for normal black coffee. That spoiled the experience a little.

Schrecklicher Service. Das Personal hat uns 30 Minuten lang nicht beachtet, trotz leerer Gläser. Sieben weitere Tische hatten ebenfalls keine Getränke und saßen vor leeren Geschirr, während die Theke zum 6x mal die selbe Stelle der Theke mit dem Tuch gewischt hat, aufgrund fehlender Bestellungen. Woher denn auch, denn der Service hat partout keine Bestellungen aufnehmen wollen. Das Schnitzel ist ungenießbar und schwimmt im verbranntem Fett. Als wir dann letztendlich einen Kellner dazu gebracht haben eine Bestellung aufzunehmen, haben wir diese nicht bekommen, da er diese vergessen hat, trotz einer überschaubarer Belegung. Nie wieder.

Actually pretty quiet on Saturday evening. Two bachelorette parties were quiet. Didn't have much to say to each other 😂. Style, like all Alex, nothing special. Negatively, there was only male service present. Female service workers usually predominate.

I went for the brunch and unfortunately the price was not worth it if you are vegetarian. Because the only vegetarian things they offer are unhealthy things (pancakes or anything American) so I paid for not eating much :(

The menu is large, so there is something for everyone. But if you really want a burger or Indian, for example, you're better off somewhere else. Very nice restaurant located in the middle of downtown Düsseldorf. We were there for breakfast on a Saturday. It was full so reservations are recommended. The breakfast buffet was set up all over the counter and had everything you needed for breakfast. Eggs in all variations, bacon, sausages, sausage, cheese, jam, cereals and pancakes. Drinks must be ordered separately. Staff friendly and the toilets very clean.

Whether it's a hangover breakfast or a simple brunch, there are no limits to freedom here. The delicious drinks are flavored with spirits and the scrambled eggs are simply a demonstration of power. The only flaw - I like to eat the bratwurst from Wagyu cattle, unfortunately here it's only made from pork.

You can do it once, but I wouldn't go there again on my own. The waiter was unfriendly, wanted vanilla ice cream but came instead of vanilla strawberry ice cream and had a stomach ache afterwards. Location is of course great

I really liked Alex, especially as a mother of a baby (who I had with me). There is a breakfast buffet during the week (until 12 p.m.), which is reasonably priced and justified by the offer. There is enough space for the stroller, a toilet on the same floor and a changing table* (in the women's toilet). In addition, they were very friendly towards me and my companions. * Addition: the changing table is not that big and you have to change the baby horizontally because it is a bit narrow. But it was clean and practical that there was even a changing table. Tip for parking: There is a parking garage right there, which is cheaper than the paid parking spaces outside.

We went there for the first time yesterday. To keep it short: Straight 5 stars (unfortunately nothing more is possible) Selection class - ambience class - staff class. We'll definitely be back.

All in all a good restaurant with very good food. It may not be the cheapest place to go, but the quality is always fresh and the food is varied and delicious. The pace can be improved. You can sometimes wait half an hour for your food, which is usually within reasonable limits. And unfortunately a deduction has to be made for the last dining experience. Not only did the food take 50 minutes to arrive today, which is bearable on a Saturday evening. But the fries with the schnitzel we ordered were limp, the portion was just enough to satisfy the hunger and the fact that ketchup and mayo cost extra was not shown on the menu but only on the bill. For almost €20 a plate, such service is honestly too weak. If you want to afford such prices, please also deliver! Since we have eaten here several times and have otherwise always received good service, we assume that today was a blip. That's why it stays at 4 stars in the end.

I was with friends. Everyone rated the food as ok. We were there two hours before closing. A friend was brought a weathered, dry piece of red velvet cake. The waffles were ok. Overall 4.

My dinner here exceeded all my expectations! The main course was cooked to perfection, bursting with amazing flavors and impeccable presentation. As for the dessert, it was the perfect finale to a fantastic evening 🤩👏 The high trained staff and cozy ambiance made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes from their menu. Highly recommend!

Durch die schöne Idee eines Geschenkgutscheins, sind wir im Alex zum Abendessen gewesen.Wir hatten extra einen Tisch am Rand reserviert, da unser Hund dann gut in einer Ecke liegen kann.Leider war der reservierte Tisch dann belegt und wir sollten uns dann anderswo setzen.Nachdem wir die Getränke bestellt haben ( leider war der besondere Fresco Tonic auf der Karte aus ) wurde uns angeboten, das wir jetzt den Platz wechseln könnten- inzwischen haben wir uns jedoch damit abgefunden.Der Service war sehr freundlich und auch der Hund hat etwas zu trinken bekommen.Unser Essen war sehr fein und auch für das Auge schön zubereitet.Nach dem Essen haben wir jedoch keinerlei Aufmerksamkeit mehr bekommen.So haben wir auch kein Getränk mehr bestellen können und es wurde auch nicht abgeräumt. Um zu zahlen ist mein Mann dann persönlich an die Theke gegangen, da seine Geduld ausgeschöpft war.Daher gibt es vier Sterne. Das Ambiente, Essen und auch die Freundlichkeit hat uns im allgemeinen sehr gut gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder - natürlich in der Hoffnung von Anfang bis zum Ende die nötige Aufmerksamkeit zu bekommen.

If the waiter had understood me it would have been amazing. I wanted to leave out the ginger. He said I'll ask, but if not, that's it. And when it was brought I couldn't be told whether it was in there or not. I thought that was a shame, otherwise it was very tasty, it was without. The drink was very appealing once we took out the ugly pap straws. This can be solved differently. Otherwise everything was great

On Easter Saturday 2024 we sat on two rare fabric armchairs. The burger was hot and tasted good. We didn't see many guests and it was rather quiet. The other seats don't seem as comfortable and are rather close. Staff is nice.

The food was good. I find 22.40 quite expensive for brunch. However, the drinks prices were even steeper. At 6.50 euros for 0.5 liters of cola, this is already a leader in its class. Service was very good, very friendly. Overall it was nice and pleasant and if you only drink one drink it wasn't that expensive 😅

I saw a mouse there a week ago and asked the waiter about it and he just acted like it was nothing. Other guests also saw the mouse coming out of the kitchen, running around and hiding under the tables... shortly afterwards I left the shop with a strange feeling in my gut

A very nice shop, unfortunately on the 3rd visit we noticed that mice were running from the kitchen in our direction. Of course, we only noticed this after we had ordered and our order had already been served. We got goosebumps and after seeing the mouse several times we couldn't eat cake with pleasure or continue to sit as the mouse ran along our feet, so we finally decided to leave and paid in full for a really messed up evening!

The Alex in Düsseldorf has a really great atmosphere. The service was super friendly and attentive. Since the entire restaurant, including the toilets, is on the ground floor, nothing stands in the way of a visit with a wheelchair or mobility impairment. The food wasn't spectacular, but it was solid for a chain. All in all, we had a really great time out here. The lemonade is highly recommended 🍋.

We often like to have brunch there. However, there is always a lot going on there on Saturdays and Sundays. So if someone wants to have breakfast in peace, I would not recommend this location for a Saturday or Sunday. The food offering is okay, the food is also okay. On Sundays there are a few more dishes like soup. We didn't like some of the appetizers at all last time. Overall, I would like a higher location. I think the desserts are not as extensive and not as tasty. But we also tend to go there for the warm, hearty dishes. The waiters are very nice there. The service is always great and the atmosphere and furnishings are very inviting. Basically a nice location if you don't want to experience anything out of the ordinary. Prices have risen sharply in recent years. In the past, a glass of champagne was included, I think. Children under ten pay a smaller price. Oh yes, we were last there at Carnival in 2024. The employees played rock music. I didn't think it really suited the food. The ambience didn't fit at all. I wish there was more jazz or blues music. The toilet/toilet area is quite okay. The hygiene is okay. The only thing that annoys me is this hand blower on the sink. I prefer paper towels myself.

After 7 minutes of waiting in front of the “Wait to be seated” sign, the waitress asked if we could sit down. Other visitors ignored the information and simply took a seat. After we were assigned a table, we were apparently transparent (again, we waited a long time). When the order was taken, everything came very quickly - unfortunately tea without a spoon, cake without a fork and ice cream without a spoon. After asking, we were given a small spoon and a dirty cake fork. This was immediately complained about and replaced. Never again!

Leider gar nicht empfehlenswert! Bei meinem ersten Besuch (das Essen war in Ordnung) wurde mein Gutschein nicht akzeptiert. Leider sie dieser „nicht lesbar“. Gut, das kann mal passieren in der Hektik - allerdings ist der Gutschein online überprüfbar und dort wurde er direkt erkannt. Ich wollte kein großes Fass aufmachen, daher normal bezahlt und den Gutschein wieder mitgenommen. Die Kellnerin machte aber trotzdem keinen Anschein mir irgendwie auszuhelfen oder irgendwas zu probieren. Die Freundlichkeit im gesamten Team ließ an dem Tag auch echt zu wünschen übrig. Nach einigen Monaten wollte ich wenigstens nun den Gutschein endlich einlösen und reserviert dafür vier Tage vorher online. Bis zum Tag der Reservierung gab es keine Rückmeldung bzw. Reservierungsbestätigung oder Stornierung. Innerhalb von 24 Stunden wir das eigentlich auf der Webseite versprochen. Ist ja kein Ding wenn es nicht in 24 Stunden passiert, aber 4 Tage ohne Rückmeldung ist schon mies. Dazu hatte ich dann versucht das Restaurant mehrfach telefonisch zu erreichen, ohne Erfolg. Dann lasst doch die Telefonnummer direkt. Ziemlich unbefriedigend und echt vermeidbar mit einem besseren Reservierungssystem. TL:DR: Essen 6/10, Service 1/10
