The service is unacceptable and extremely disrespectful, exactly what Germany has achieved because money (cheap staff from abroad) is the only thing that counts instead of good quality. Very nice location, great breakfast, delicious other dishes, friendly and attentive staff. Small drawback. Every now and then there are dog owners who let their dogs bark incessantly, which disrupts conversations.

The Café/Bar Muggel in Düsseldorf impresses with an excellent breakfast menu and varied, delicious evening cuisine. Particularly noteworthy are the carefully prepared dishes and the large selection of good drinks. The service is extremely courteous and friendly, which makes the stay even more pleasant. The location and good connections make the Muggle an ideal meeting place at any time of the day. A real insider tip for connoisseurs!

Review update: Unfortunately, things have gotten even worse here! The bread with the delicious dip was only served almost at the end of the main course today and then I didn't need it anymore. The main course pork medallions with truffle sauce was unfortunately also a joke!! Hardly any meat on the plate and it's really tough!! The truffle sauce also had significantly less flavor than usual. It's a shame to see this downward spiral from my point of view!! The food here is always really tasty and looks very appetizingly prepared. You can always really look forward to it. The lightly toasted bread with the delicious dip is also just great!! The ambience invites you to linger, if it weren't for the smokers, especially those with pipes. Unfortunately, the tables are sooooo close together that you have to allow yourself to be completely smoked. When asked about this by the staff, unfortunately they didn't do anything. It's better to lose non-smoking customers than to "put a smoker in his place"!! What a shame!!!! Update #3! Now guaranteed the LAST experience in this store!! Here you really seem to live the clichés that people say about the Oberkassel district!! This, it seems to me, with complete conviction and satisfaction! I wanted to eat there again today, even though I've often had very bad experiences recently. Because the food, you should be careful, is really good and tasty there! Unfortunately, you don't even get to enjoy the delicious food because the waitress is trying hard to drive away the customer as best as possible. When I wanted to sit down at a table at 11:58 a.m. that was reserved for 1:30 p.m., the waitress there immediately chased me away because the guests would be arriving very soon. To be honest, I didn't want to spend 1.5 hours there for my lunch break, I just wanted to eat and go back to the office. When I found a seat that wasn't reserved, I was astonished to hear the waitress gossiping about me to her colleague. When I then wanted to speak to the managing director, she suddenly identified herself as the managing director. Unfortunately, insight wasn't a plan and I was rather expelled from the store with the remark that they had enough customers and didn't have to rely on everyone. From my point of view, a very interesting statement, which makes me really ask myself whether there are really that many customers who let everything be done to them!?

Just nice to sit there and a very appealing selection of drinks. Food could certainly be better, but it's not a restaurant, more of a brasserie in my opinion.

A cozy place to relax. Good and plentiful breakfast, highly recommended. Seeing and being seen is very important here. Good, interesting audience. Don't be afraid to contact people, humanity is the order of the day here. The staff is friendly and quick to process. Tip, so you don't get disappointed, it's better to make a reservation.

Even on a Tuesday morning nothing works without a reservation. Very tasty breakfast, I'll definitely come back again.

Sunday brunch with sparkling wine is exactly my meal!

Service unprofessional, slow and inattentive. With the terrace half full, we had to wait 20 minutes for service and were then served rudely. To top it all off, the 1/4 full glass was simply cleared away.

We ate a salad with goat cheese and a burrata with tomatoes and potato chips very late last night. Salad and burrata were very tasty. The potato chips were made from thick slices of potato and complemented the meal very well. At the end we just treated ourselves to crème brulet and mousse au chocolate: both were very successful. The waiter often and never asked unpleasantly whether we were missing anything. Very well done!

Great location, full hut in the middle of the week, better make a reservation. Huge menu (except veal liver), every drink you can think of. However, the noise level is relatively high. You have to speak loudly. Get used to it over time. Conclusion: come back soon...

We came on Saturday morning without a reservation and found a super friendly and flexible staff who found a place for us despite the full house. Breakfast was excellent and more than plentiful. But if you're used to it, customers sometimes stand at the power box with a wine and wait. Beautiful interior and exterior offer a relatively large amount of space. Unfortunately, you will notice this at some point in the service, which then takes significantly longer and the bill came after 20 minutes and two reminders. On Happy Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. each cocktail costs €8, which makes you really happy. The cocktails are well mixed and the Mai Tai is particularly good. So reserve a table and try it!

Waitress simply forgets our order and doesn't notice for 20 minutes that our table hasn't received any drinks or food. After another 20 minutes and another request, my order still hadn't been delivered to the kitchen. After being hungry for almost 45 minutes, I went next door to the Greek restaurant.

Even today .. very bad service, likes to look at the floor .. dismissive and annoyed with every question .. an old lady made the number sign with her fingers .. she was harshly reprimanded "A waiter is not a dog "... Ouch

If muggles didn't exist, they would have to be invented. In the morning the top breakfast meeting place for moms, wealthy early retirees and bohemians, at lunchtime the lawyers have a business lunch and in the evening the place where you want to be seen.

Everything is perfect in this Oberkassel neighbourhood bar, restaurant and breakfast/brunch place. Great range of openwines and excellent menu for dinner and breakfast with plenty of choice. The staff is swift and super friendly. I wish that all places would be like this! We will be back

For us, Muggle is one of the best breakfast cafes in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area. Breakfast is great, staff is absolutely great. It's also worth taking the longer route there. We will come back, no question. Many thanks to the entire Muggle team.

I'm so happy to have found a proprt breakfast place near by. For it to be so perfect is just the cherry on top. Excelent service, good food served like art. Will be coming back. And dogs allowed, again a plus.

Great and delicious shop. We've only ever been here for breakfast. The prices are okay, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. The selection is good. There should be something for everyone. For example, you can order an estimated 15 variations of breakfast here. Vegetarians and vegans also get their money's worth here. Reservations definitely make sense.

The cult café always impresses us. This time with a very tasty breakfast. All ingredients were fresh and sufficient in quantity. The service was friendly and attentive. So it's no wonder that on a weekday morning every table was occupied. So recommendation: better reserve.

We eat out at least once a week, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food is very good and tasty, but unfortunately there is a male waiter who is slow, unfriendly and, if you pay at the table without a bill, you pay €4.2 instead of €3.5 for a mint tea. That's where you're not amused

We were there today with 5 people. We actually got a table without a reservation. Unfortunately, at 3 p.m. sharp, only a tapas menu was served, even though food á la carte was still coming out of the kitchen for at least a quarter of an hour. Service quick and very friendly. Only the last table in front of the kitchen had unwanted insights into the kitchen, which I would have liked to have done without. The food waste bin was pushed through the restaurant directly past us. I have never experienced anything like this even in southern countries. There doesn't seem to be a back exit. Maybe that explains the many little fruit flies at our table. The women's toilets had the character of a train station, both in terms of charm, condition and smell. It's a shame, the tapas themselves were very tasty. Price performance absolutely justified.

Unfortunately the worst store in Düsseldorf in terms of service! The food is good, no question, but a certain waiter is unfortunately very unfriendly and ruins every visit to the store. In addition, complete chaos and no agreements between employees.

Wir gehen regelmäßig ins Muggel und sind dort immer sehr zufrieden. Location, Essen, Personal, es gibt absolut nicht zu meckern. Wenn man selbst seit Jahrzehnten dort Gast ist, muss man sich über die negativen Bewertungen schon echt wundern. Ob es um die Kritik am Verhalten des ehemaligen Kellners geht oder um die grundsätzliche Überforderung, die auch genannt wurde. Wir verstehen das NULL. Das dortige Personal hat eine besondere Art und Weise mit Kunden umzugehen, vielleicht würde man es “cool” nennen? Nun ja, gut, dass wir alle so unterschiedlich sind. Das Muggel macht jedenfalls Vieles richtig, sonst würde es nicht schon eine gefühlte Ewigkeit am gleichen Ort, mit dem gleichem Konzept existieren.

いつも混んでいて予約席がたくさん。ランチのパスタやスープはとても美味しいのでおすすめ。今回初めて午前中にカプチーノとパンケーキ。ふわふわで美味しかったけれどボリュームたっぷりで食べきれなかった。

Tolles Szenelokal! Wir haben hier gefrühstückt. Haben viele verschiedene Gerichte von der Karte bestellt. Alles hat uns geschmeckt. Da wir kurze Zeit auf den vorab reservierten Tisch warten mussten haben wir jeder einen frisch gepressten O-Saft bekommen. Darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Der Service war gut und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Einen Reservierung vorab, kann ich nur empfehlen!

Nettes Café, vom Personal bis zum Ambiente allgemein. Waren hier zum ersten Mal frühstücken und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Lediglich die Tische stehen teilweise etwas eng aneinander aber man hat noch ausreichend Platz. Wir kommen wieder! :)

Personal ist die reinste Katastrophe.. als Gast wird man regelrecht missachtet es laufen 3 Damen rum haben aber überhaupt keine Lust und auch nicht den Überblick eine Bestellung entgegen zu nehmen ganz im Gegenteil es wird lieber selber erst mal am Thresen gegessen. Man muss sich lauthals bemerkbar machen ,obwohl heute um 16.30 Uhr vorne im Bereich nichts los war. Sehr schade ..eigentlich ein sehr nettes Bistro/Restaurant

Absolutely love this place! Four friends, met last minute for dinner, and we had the best time here. The food was perfect, and the staff were incredibly friendly, observant and accommodating. They have a drink called Müggelino- try it!

Ein schöner Laden in Oberkassel. Wie es typisch ist findet man nicht leicht einen Parkplatz aber wenn man das überwunden hat kann man es genießen. Ob man am morgens hier sein Frühstück genießt oder später so was aus der Küche nimmt der Laden ist schön und der Service freundlich und schnell. Wenn man im vorderen Bereich sitzt hat man eine klasse Aussicht und hinten ist es mir eine Idee zu laut daher nur 4 Sterne für das Ambiente.

War ok. Haben die Tapas gegessen (um 17 und gab es leider nichts anderes) und wahnsinnig leckeren Weißwein getrunken. Zum Schichtwechsel wurden wieder leider ignoriert. Wollten noch einen zweiten Wein. Sind dann halt nach einem Wein weiter. Preise waren gut.

Wir sind oft im Muggel. Leckeres Essen von der Abendkarte im urig, gemütlichen Ambiente. Unser Highlight war jedoch der Kellner René. Charmant, zuvorkommend und lustig. Vielen Dank dafür, du bist ein Star! ⭐️ Auch die anderen aus dem Team sind flott und herzlich. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Wir wurden belehrt, dass der Inhaber kein Glücksspiel wolle und aufgefordert - jetzt kommt's- unser Backgammonspiel zu beenden. Ohne Worte. Ziemlich lächerlich, auch kulturlos und sicher unaufrichtig.

Bisschen Schicki Micki aber nicht störend. Ganz gemütlich, gehört schon zig Jahre zur Oberkasseler Szene
