Kaiserswerth's "living room" is always worth a visit. Food & Drinks: There was a special menu with dishes; the venison goulash I ordered was delicious, and the side dishes were okay. After they swapped the unfortunate goulash Altbier for Uerige, the Altbier tasted good again. Service was attentive and quick. The ambiance is okay, but that's purely a matter of taste. Always worth a visit.

Quaint inn with very friendly staff, delicious, down-to-earth food at very fair prices for Kaiserswerth standards - I'd love to come back, it's lovely here.

My go-to canteen during the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. The guys and Julia were always friendly and attentive while serving. The various dishes I had for dinner were all delicious and plentiful. Good, traditional German cuisine! Highly recommended! The shaded terrace, whether at the front or back, is also a nice touch!

A charming, traditional brewery with a very cozy atmosphere. The service is friendly and attentive, the wine delicious, and the mussels prepared "Rhenish style" are highly recommended! Plus, the price is right!

We had dinner here yesterday – it was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed delicious pumpkin soup, liver, and a salad with turkey and chili sauce. The waiter gave us excellent advice and was very helpful. It was cozy, with candles and mulled wine. Everything was delicious, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would recommend it 100%! 💯

The salad I ordered was very tasty

Very good atmosphere and delicious food! The portions are generous, the staff super friendly, and the place feels very cozy and lively despite the noise. I had the knuckle of pork – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with a really delicious sauce. The steak was also perfectly medium and beautifully juicy. The potatoes were also excellent! Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff, absolutely delicious food. We got a table spontaneously (we had reserved an hour in advance). Everything was excellent; I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good meal and a delicious beer.

The dishes are extremely tasty and well-served, the portions are generous. Very typical German food and the bar is frequented by locals and tourists who are usually in town for fairs and events. A highlight is the roasted pork knuckle, spectacular! The schnitzel is also very well made. The boiled pork doesn't look very good but the flavor is very good, as is the roasted pork! The atmosphere is typically German, as are the waiters and the service; don't expect great hospitality or friendliness, they are all very practical and rushed. I recommend it!

The Tonhalle in Düsseldorf Kaiserwerth, located right on Klemensplatz, is a brewery and restaurant serving home-style cooking. The atmosphere is cozy, but it can be a bit noisy, and in good weather, you can also enjoy outdoor seating. The service is very fast and friendly. The food was delicious and generously portioned. The prices are still reasonably reasonable. A highlight is the cold, freshly tapped Füchschen Alt beer, for those who like it 😋 (currently €2.90 for a 0.25 liter glass). The restrooms are clean.

The Tonhalle is conveniently located on Klemensplatz in Kaiserswerth. It features a lovely beer garden. The Füchschen beer is served fresh and at a comfortable temperature, and the waiters are attentive and friendly.

I ordered the schnitzel here, and it was one of the best I've ever tasted. The staff are very friendly and provide great service. You dine in a lovely atmosphere.

We always enjoy stopping here whenever we're in Kaiserswerth. The menu is exactly what we like, and the exceptionally friendly service makes our stay very pleasant.

We ate at the Tonhalle Kaiserswerth for the first time today. Let's start with the positives. The location and terrace are top-notch, and the staff are absolutely super friendly. 10.0 out of 10.0 points. For our meal, we both chose the Jägerart schnitzel with fried potatoes and salad. The food was abysmally bad, and we returned it. The schnitzel was thin and dry, the breading was bad. The Jägerart sauce had no flavor at all. The fried potatoes were so greasy that they left a noticeable lingering effect on both of our bodies all night long. The accompanying salad was substandard. The return of the food was prompt and without comment. We simply had goulash soup as a substitute, which was also good. Overall, we can't understand why this restaurant is so busy. We haven't had a worse meal this year, and the prices aren't cheap either. The chef should be replaced. Absolutely tasteless and just plain awful. For us, the day and weekend had been a lasting success.

You have to look for chanterelles with a magnifying glass, can't add a photo as they are barely visible, but the noodles are delicious🙈.

Ten of us ate outside and received expert and friendly service. Everyone enjoyed the food immensely.

The food was delicious. The ambiance was lovely. The waiter didn't want to split the bill by six, saying two people could split it. After a brief discussion, he agreed to split it by six. However, he added a generous tip of his own accord and deducted it from the card. People like to tip, but this wasn't nice.

I sat outside in the nice weather. It was great. The food was home-style cooking. Good and tasty. It was also reasonably priced. I'd go back anytime.

A very nice restaurant with a beautiful meeting room in the basement. When I was there, it was over 30 degrees outside, but in the basement it was a relaxed 23 degrees, which I found very pleasant. The food was delicious, and there was something for every taste.

Discovered this bistro-style restaurant during my visit to the Schloss Kalkum area. Really good meal and delicious apple pie. I recommend this restaurant if you are visiting the Kaiserswerth area, it is immediately outside the U79 metro station if you are arriving from the city.

They actually still serve delicious, affordable, home-style cooking. I treated myself to a portion of pointed cabbage with sausage, potatoes, and a beer from the weekly specials. The tram rumbles by outside, and the street is just beyond, but overall it's quite pleasant, and the service is very attentive.

I've lived in Düsseldorf for 40 years and have always admired this restaurant in Kaiserswerth. Last weekend, I finally went there for dinner with my Culture and Castles Association. Unfortunately, the waiter insulted me in a very inappropriate and racist manner when I asked for Schumacher beer. I was shocked and disappointed. I was so looking forward to the evening and didn't want to ruin it, but this behavior was disrespectful and discriminatory. I haven't received an apology to this day. I sincerely hope that management takes this behavior seriously. For me, it was an absolute zero.

Completely incomprehensible how I was treated here. I was actually thrown off the premises – just because I was wearing shorts. The absurd justification: They were supposedly swimming trunks. It was about 10 degrees Celsius outside, and I was also wearing a thick hoodie. Going swimming seems to have a very specific definition in Düsseldorf – at least around the Tonhalle. The shorts were clearly recognizable as such, but instead of reacting with a bit of common sense or at least a hint of politeness, I was rudely thrown out. This behavior is disrespectful, arrogant, and simply wrong. Customer friendliness seems to be a foreign concept here. Anyone who treats their guests like this shouldn't be surprised by the corresponding reviews – I certainly won't be coming back.

A real "restaurant": good location, attentive service ("a large group is coming soon, do you want to order something first?"), cold beer and delicious gypsy schnitzel (sic!), a really great evening, and not just because of the good conversations🥳

No recommendation. The waiters listless and arrogant. Waited 15 minutes for the drinks, beer without foam and stale. It was not possible to order food because the waiters either intentionally overlooked the hand signals several times or did not respond when spoken to. They don't see me here anymore, but they probably don't need to.

On our bike tour we (6 people) were able to try out this wonderful outdoor restaurant. When the weather was beautiful, we were able to get a table in the sun. Since we were all hungry, we decided to each order something different from the menu so we could try out the cuisine. Everyone was completely satisfied. Short waiting time, very friendly service and value for money. We'll be back. Is recommended.

We haven't eaten so well in a long time. Price ok. For two main courses and two drinks 46 euros.

I've been here many times for good food and a good beer.

Eight of us had reserved a table for Saturday evening. Food was very tasty and came in very decent portions (there was a lot left over). Super friendly, courteous and funny service. The overall price was certainly not low, but it was acceptable compared to other locations and the overall increased price ratio. I might deduct half a star because at one point the room we were sitting in got pretty overheated and we couldn't open the window. But overall we all felt so comfortable there, had such a delicious meal and had so much fun... so be it. Full marks!

We always come to Kaiserswerth to visit friends and enjoy coming here. The service is consistently very friendly and open-minded, with a lot of humor and charm. The food is always very tasty and a huge portion that I can hardly manage. Schnitzel Viennese and salad, Jägerschnitzel, and pork knuckle are our favorites. The eggplant roulade had a little bit of eggplant casing, but tasted good. The restaurant is no longer the newest but clean and very cozy. Always my pleasure! Thank you!

Really great, originals as you wish

The kale we ordered came within 2 minutes of ordering. It was already partly hard on the surface from having been warmed up several times in the microwave, but underneath it was extremely hot. The “Mettwurst” looked more like a bockwurst in color, and its interior was similar - pale pink to grayish. The fact that the kale hardly had any taste of its own inevitably makes me think of a finished product - €16.90. The Füchsen Alt didn't taste fresh, but rather clearly stale. When the waiter asked how I liked the food and I politely told him my criticism, he immediately went into attack mode: That couldn't be right! I also had no idea what kale was supposed to be like, namely “not fresh!” Another table also ate the kale. I'll spare myself a description of the sad, crumbling lettuce next to me. The fried potatoes, on the other hand, looked okay. I can only recommend this restaurant for diehards. The home-style restaurant at Kaiserswerther Markt, 200m away, is far better - and even cheaper. Unfortunately my last visit here.

While looking for a suitable location for a celebration with family and friends, we found the Tonhalle. We were shown all the rooms and explained to us all the options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we decided to “test” the food, we were completely convinced that we had found the right setting. Thank you.

Empecemos con lo que no es el Tonhalle. No es un proveedor de cocina nouvelle ni pretende prestar un servicio inmaculado o mantenerse en la tradición de Brigade de cuisine. Habiendo quitado eso de en medio, el Tonhalle sí ofrece nosh y vino alemán de primera calidad a aquellos que deseen disfrutar o saber más sobre él. Nadie sale de aquí con hambre. Nadie se tambalea a casa sin un resorte en su paso.

We were there for the traditional goose dinner and really enjoyed it. Very good service, rustic atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. Red cabbage and dumplings could be had as second helpings upon request. We can recommend the Tonhalle!
