We stopped there for lunch on the occasion of the village festival. By half past 12 all places were occupied and reserved. Then we went back at 1 p.m. and got a spot. I really enjoyed Schäuferle as a daily special. I'll be back, but definitely with a prior reservation.
Nice restaurant, there are many different kinds of schnitzels. Their products are mostly from local producers, as I understand. Schnitzels were nice and I liked the wheat beer. The place itself is nicely decorated. Employees were friendly.
A great restaurant with a wonderful Alpine atmosphere! The food was very tasty, including the vegetarian dishes. Of course, the Kässpatzen and Kaiserschmarrn are particularly recommended. A suggestion for improvement: The ingredients and side dishes should be listed on the menu. The snack also includes, for example, black pudding, which may not be popular with everyone. This way it could be voted out from the start and then doesn't have to be thrown away. In addition, the accompanying vegetables should also be listed for reasons of intolerance. Otherwise everything was great!
This is a huge place with different big rooms for serving. We wnent there on a Sunday morning and there was a lot of people (drinking beer). We had their version of flannkuchen for lunch. Like the German version of a pizza. It was fine. They start serving food at 11.30 AM. Service is good and prices are OK.
Once again, the food was excellent and the service was very friendly. It's also worth mentioning that the kitchen doesn't close at 2 p.m. like most restaurants; instead, you can get a hot meal at 3 p.m. or later. I highly recommend the Jagdhaus. For me, it's the best restaurant in Oberstdorf!
We've been to Tafeldecker before and were very impressed. So we returned with nine people and two dogs. Since we had planned a city tour afterward, we arrived right on time for the restaurant's opening.
The waitresses were clearly struggling. Unfortunately, the dogs' water still didn't arrive after three polite requests. They forgot to order an appetizer, and the waitress's digital device apparently had different names for the main courses than what was listed on the menu.
In the end, we got all the food we wanted, and it tasted delicious.
The waitresses were clearly having a bad day. Which wouldn't be a reason not to return for this super delicious meal.
(PS: The food prices are really so reasonable ;))
